I want to keep my pinned sites on my new tab, but I don't want history to show up.

When I open a new tab I have favorite sites pinned.
However, random tabs from my history also start to show.
I only want to see the pinned sites and not the history. However, I want to keep my history stored, just not on a new tab.
Is there a way to accomplish this?

The function of the '''New Tabs''' page is to display the sites you go to
the most. You can '''Pin''' the ones you want in place, but that's all.
Are you pinning at position 1, 2, 3 or just pinning where it was?

Sorry to be such a moron with this, but I just don't have much experience with this iPad. I have had it for over a year and I just keep adding stuff to it and it has worked great. Now that the memory is used up, I am trying to figure out how to free up space and not lose what I have paid for.
So, Step 1 is complete, as I have "Transferred" all of the purchases.
What is Step 2? I unchecked the concert on the iTunes library, did a sync, but it's still on my iPad.

You can do a malware check with a few malware scan programs. 
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.

Even when I use the "ask personal questions" option to verify and it asks me for my date of birth, I put it in and it still won't acccept.

A few times a week

Firefox is shutting down windows I want to remain open. Example: I am done viewing one window. I click the X to shut the window and it shuts two windows. Every single time, attempt to close one windows, two windows close. Lately, I have been opening several windows with nothing but google search, just so it will shut that window and not something else I want to remain open. I could understand this if I was using tabs, but I am not. This has been going on for over two weeks. I don't like going back to history to open a window, I did not want closed in the first place. I had the same problem and also had PDF Download 3.0.02 installed. By removing this addon I can now select a PDF document which then opens up a normal Open With/Save dialogue allowing me to open the file or save it. Hope this helps.

Are you aware of any problem with a previous purchase ? You can create a NEW account using these instructions. You have to use an email address not used with Apple before. You can't update any apps purchased with another account using this account.

How do I change the default site for a new tab?

I want to change the page that opens when I open a new tab. I followed the answer that was given for the "how do I change which website that opens when I open a new tab?" question (4/5/14, given by ideato to emmafrom), without success.
(The steps advised were:
In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.

double-click on it and type the web page you want
Click OK, and you are OK. !)
As mentioned, this did not work. I still get a bing search page for a new tab, regardless.

Firefox always opens with two tabs, one the tab I want, plus an additional tab NEW TAB which I don't want. How can I stop the additional NEW TAB?

I open Firefox in new windows for sites I want to go to. I don't open in Tabs. Each time I open an new firefox window and when I restore the windows I had open, each site has an additional tab (2-tabs). The first tab is the site I want up the second tab is NEW TAB. I have to go through 10 to 14 Firefox windowe to close each 2nd and additional NEW TAB to individually close the NEW TABS. I had this before updating to the current Firefox and thought upgrading would solve this issue, but it didn't.

I started in safe Mode. I have the default theme. Starting in safe mode still gave me the same problem. I went back to the normal Firefox and still had the same problem. Yesterday I restarted my computer for 11 Windows updates. I am not going to spend all day starting and restarting my computer and removing my History and whatever else. Firefox should have a direct contact to it's users, to assist them instead of having their users work for them as forum responders and trouble shooters. This has already taken up way too much of my time.
I will say in normal Firefox the additional NEW TAB had no URL in it, but it did have the 12 icons on the page. In Safe Mode it had a URL that began with Chrome and it had a blank page, it didn't have the 12 icons as in normal mode. I don't have anything Chrome on my computer.

So I recently installed a VLC player, and after the download, I noticed that the installation had also snuck in a bunch of other programs (I assume were viruses). When I opened up Firefox moments later, I realized that when I clicked to open a new tab, the grid wasn't there, and all the sites I had pinned were gone, I only saw a blank white window. I'm not sure whether there is a connection between the installed player and my Firefox problem, all I know is that the problem occurred moments after the player was installed.

How to pin favorite webpages to new tab display boxes

When you click the plus sign on a tab, it takes you to a new tab with lots of empty boxes on it that you can pin your favorite webpages so the one you want to see will launch quickly. I've got 3 pages pinned on the new tab page, but haven't done it for a while and I forgot how to pin another webpage to one of the empty boxes. I've looked around on your help pages and cannot find anything about it. I hope you know what I am talking about. Thanks.

Although the + appears at the far right end of the tab bar during the Customize process, it should snug up to the tabs once you click Done. Is your staying at the end??
(When you drop it any closer to the existing tabs, it goes all the way to the beginning of the bar, which for a right-handed person, is not convenient.)
