I was thinking of getting my wife an ipad mini. I use a PC with Windows 7, latest version of itunes installed. From this I have an ipad, ipod and iphone, all of which work perfectly. My question is will the ipad mini also work and be recognised as another device?
Can I put some of my existing Apps onto the mini?

Sure, but only if the new iGadget is "married" to the rest by virtue of having the same AppleID. You will be able to back up, update and upgrade its contents, apps and iOS on the iTunes application on the PC.
However, if it shares the same AppleID as the rest of your toys, she will be able to read your mail and see your messages, which could eventually lead to battles royal on who said what to whom. So beware, you have been warned.

I had all my iTunes music backed up onto a hard drive; but the hard drive was stolen along with all the files I backed up onto it. However, the songs I had in iTunes still show up (I just can't play them.) If I were to use iCloud, would it still take those songs and let me listen to them (and maybe re-download them?) Open iTunes, go to the iTunes Store, and then go to Purchased on the right hand side under Music Quick Links.
You can re-download all the songs, apps, or books you have previously purchased.
I'm not sure if this is a requirement, but just in case, make sure you download the latest version of iTunes (v10.3) too. -
I downloaded and paid for an app on my ipad, how can I get it free on my iphone without using itunes as my laytop is broken. I cannot seem to find the purchase tab in app store? I am logged in using the same ID
First, the app must be universal...designed for both iPhone/iPad:
Tap App Store.
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Tap Updates.
Tap Purchased on the resulting screen.
Locate the app in your Purchased tab.
Tap the download icon.
The app will begin downloading and you'll be taken back to your home screen. -
I have an old MacBook Pro, which just upgraded to OS X 10.10.3...in the process iPhoto disappeared, along with all my photos! I'm shocked, and have no idea what to do (I'm the furthest thing from tech). Did the photos go into iCloud? I have a photos icon now in the place of iPhoto, but no photos! Any suggestions or help?

My PC Harddrive died along with all the CD's that I have saved to the Itunes library. My IPOD touch has the library still so I would like to send the data from the IPOD to the PC to restore my library. Is this possible?

My computer broke and so I am using a new one to update the music on my iPhone I got today. I can't get my music from my iPod touch (that's plugged in at the same time) to stay on this iTunes. I have already authorized it and everything. I just need to be able to unplug my iPod and plug in my iPhone to get my stinkin music on there. Please help! I'm begging!
The ipod is not a backup device. The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases: Without syncing:File>transfer Purchases
Copy everything from your backup copy of your old computer to your new one. -
I can't sync my iTunes library from my iPhone 5c onto my macbook pro after it wiped without deleting all the songs I have on my phone now. Is there any way around this as it is saying I need to clear all songs from my old iTunes library to connect it to a new one?

Sounds like it also could be your gpu and/or memory. My previous mbp (2007) went through something similar in terms of symptoms, but the lines were more pinkish/purplish, and the cursor arrow turned into a large block of lines. Had new motherboard and 1 ram stick replaced, and now its fine.

When setting up Windows 7 OS on a partition through bootcamp, do you then need to treat it like a PC? Are the same precautions necessary to run an optimal system using proceedures like defrag, disk clean up, and runinig antivirus and malware programs now necessary?
It is (once installed) Windows, and needs to be treated like any other copy of Windows on any other machine.
Use Microsoft Security Essentials for anti virus, defrag and cleanup is up to you, it is not necessary but may be desirable now and again. Anti Virus is not optional. -
