If you'll look at the little toolbar above the reply window, you will see an 'A' to the left of the little smiley face. So, if you want to post a link to another site or thread here, first copy that URL (have your cursor in the address bar of that site and hit Command + C to copy. Then come back to your reply window, click on the A and you'll get a window in which you can simply hit Command + V (pasting the URL there) - hit insert and you'll see this:

The screen on my iphone 3 froze while I was trying to update it. Now it has the iTunes icon with the end of a charger pointint up to it. Unplugging or restarting doesn't help. The same thing always comes back on the screen. It is completely frozen.

The Update was not completed and due to incomplete update your Device is now in Recovery Mode and the only option left with you is to Restore your iPhone using iTunes on your Computer which will take your iPhone to Factory settings. -

I Was trying to update to the latest version; i uninstall to download new version because it wasn't letting me update. Now it wouldn't open at all because "The file"iTunes.Library.itl"cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes".:( How do i go back to last install or make this new version works?
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

If there is no backup of the device to iCloud or iTunes and the device has gone into recovery mode when trying to update, then the data is gone. If the device was connected to iTunes to do the update originally, it is possible the default backup was done, unless your son disabled it. To check to see if there is a backup, go in iTunes, click on Edit, Preferences, Devices and see if there is a backup listed for the date/time before the update was started. If he was doing the update OTA on the phone, then there is no backup. No backup, no photos.
