Iad on iOS5 shows white bar

I need some pointers.....
My app is free and has iAd implemented in it. Everything was working fine on OS 4.x. However, since I migrated my app to iOS5 and am seeing some differences not.
On iOS5 device, I see a white bar instead of iAd initially - even though the view's background is black. After a minute or so, the iAd will show up and replace the white bar. Things work for a while, and then the white bar comes back.
On OS 4.x, don't see the white bar but the rest of the functionality is same...i.e. ads show for a while, and then nothing.
1. White bar - is this a 'feature' in iOS5?
2. Are iAds shown for a period of time only? i.e. not shown all the time?
3. Are there extended periods where the iAds are not shown?

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

Windows 7 bootcamp show black screen with a small white bar

I just upgraded my iMac mid 2011 21.5" with a crucial m4 SSD. The SSD is plugged in the disk 1 DATA port and on the SSD power on the motherboard. I fully installed Windows 7 with all the driver and updates. My mac is upgraded with the lastest update. The crucial m4 firmware is 009. I installed no driver for the SSD.
The problem is that when I start my bootcamp it only show a black screen with a small white bar on the corner. I waited about 5 minutes before to close the computer manually. The only way my bootcamp work is when I put my Windows 7 DVD in the reader for the startup.

Sometimes windows installation will install a WDM driver for ati or nvidia. It causes the screen to go black altho ugh everything else is running in the background. I found that using an external monitor will allow you to see the screen so that you can install the lastest bootcamp drivers. After the drivers are installed the screen comes back. I reinstalled windows 3 times and tried all other solutions including repairing the hard drive in disk utility.

I am using DVDSP 3. When I play the dvd on a mac there is a white bar at the top of the screen saying the marker names. If I watch the same dvd on the dvd player hooked up with my tv, it plays fine and does not show any extra area the white bar at the top. Is there any way I can prevent this from happening?

Do worry about it. It sounds like you have coded with the "text track" of the .mov file left superimposed onto the pictures. If you open your original .mov in Quicktime, you can turn off the text track. Then save a reference Quicktime file, and then use this to make your .mp2. Alternatively, change your marker settings when you do a FCP playout (assuming you are using FCP) - turn off the marker export; or make sure that you have chosen compatible settings for your version of DVD SP3. Also, you can write down the timecodes, and put your Chapter markers into DVD SP3 by hand.

Sony Smartwatch 2 shows grey screen with white bar

My sony smartwatch 2 which i purchased yesterday will pair with my phone and get as far as the grey screen with a white bar near the bottom which is suppose to be the restart screen to continue the install. but it will not restart and continue. what do i need to do?

T43p with one vertical white bar 1/2" in width 3" from right side of screen

I have a T43p with this vertical white bar that is new as of an hour ago. Not sure where it came from or how to fix it. I don't think anytihng is loose because I wiggled and pushed on every part on and around the monitor to see if it would change color or flicker at least a little. No change was noted. I also restarted and no change. External monitor shows no signs of this bar so it is not due to programming. I believe is is all due to hardware. Any ideas on an easy cost free fix? any help woud be awesome.

I don't believe that there's a cheap fix for an expensive machine such as T43p. Do you have any warranty left?
Have you run PC-Doctor on all video aspects of the system?

Black and white bar screen x230

Since recently my laptop shows a big black and white bar after booting. After applying a little force to the screen i get different colorsLike so:
And after applying some more force, not too roughly of course, it is all fine again. However im afraid that after a while it will not be fixable by a little force anymore. I did not drop the laptop to cause this and have never taken the screen appart.
Is this something i can fix? should i send the laptop for warranty? (still have a year or so left)?

Seems the culprit is a damaged cable from systemboard to the screen or connector between them. I know about the such issues with x220 that has similar design and the same screen models.
To attempt resolve an issue you should disassemble keyboard, remove the screen bezel and get access to the entire cable (inside of the hinges including) and connector. Then have a look at them closely, probably you'll find some defect.
Or contact with warranty service.

My Iphone 5 has white bars on top of my screen and i sometimes

My iphone 5 keeps coming up with white bars on top of the screen and i sometimes can't even control my phone. It goes al crazy when the white bars show. These bars fade in then out all the time. HELP pleeeeeeease

The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart... Reset... Restore from Backup... Restore as New...

If you try all these Steps and you still have issues... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step... Be sure to make an appointment first...

IPhone 5 Battery stays at the same percentage, phone fades shows white and black lines then dies. Now phone screen is shaking and does the same thing.

My iPhone 5 which has been working fine has only today started to get these problems. The phones battery percentage stays at the same number and only changes if i swith it off or when it does it byitself but then stays at that number. When I use it it constantly turns off by slowly fading then showing white and black lines then going off. The screen is now shaking and keeps turning off. It was on IOS 6 which I just updated as I thought this could be the issue but it still does the same thing on IOS 7. Has anyone else experienced these problems or know what is wrong with my iPhone?

Sounds like the device is failing. Since you updated to iOS 7, that would do the same as a restore. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar at Apple to have the device checked.

PDF for ipad has white bars on either side instead of a full bleed

Hi there
i have been creating a pdf document in indesign cc. Set it up for ipad and in 1024x768 and for digital publishing/ipad.
Now when i send it to my ipad and download it from mail i have a white bar left and right on the horizontal layout. Top and bottom are bleeding right to the end.
I have it on every page and cant seem to find the solution how i can have it bleed out on the sides as well. Anyone has an answer for me? i am going nuts. haha

its fine in 'CONTINOUS'mode where u scroll down. But the bars show on the
side in horizontal view when you view in "SINGLE PAGE' and you want to
scroll sideways.
Its truly weird. I think the best way is still to design it in 1024x768
don't u think? I want it to be full bleed and no white bars though.

IMac starts shows white screen and shuts off

my iMac starts fine, I hear chime, white screen with apple shows, but also shows a bar under the apple...
it stays on a minute then shuts off...

It's most likely the macbook pro 2011 denied by apple GPU problem many many others suffer from too.

Wifi indicator now always shows white instead of blue

Hi All-
My new Ultra had been showing "blue" on the wifi indicator, but now will only show "white". I am getting 65Mbps link speed and excellent signal strength. This has been constant ( good speed and excellent sig strength). Motorola says blue means good connection and white means poor connection, but clearly i am getting all GREAT signal strength and link speeds.Others say it is no longer connecting to google servers. Must be a setting, aye?
Any help and guidance ?

Ha ha sorry I use Apple devices. But if it makes you happy my new slider bar to turn off the device after iOS 7.1 is now white instead of dark grey.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Itune showing white screen(ipad3)

itune showing white screen after upadating my iPad3 to iOS6.
does anyone have a solution for it or facing same problem.
seems like iOS6 has some issues better not to update.

Quit the iTunes app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't help. reboot the iPad. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
