IC Alerts based on Marketing Campaign

Guys,
We need an alert to show up in the CIC WinClient whenever a customer is part of a selected marketing campaign.
For e.g. if a customer is a part of Product launch campaign (Customer  will be in the target group), then when that customer calls, the campaign description should be displayed as an alert the CIC WinClient.
We dont want alerts for all the campaigns but only few selected ones. Is there a standard way to accomplish this? Any help on this would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ani

Hi Anirudh,
1. In order to achieve this, we first have to create a Generic alert handler class which would contain certain methods to handle the ‘SEARCH_TARGET_FOUND’ event
2. Since wish to display a message in the reminder scripting area about the client’s previous repair requests, we have to create a new custom event in Meta model file; Meta Model file is an XML file which would contain information about various CIC events and their corresponding alert handler Java script functions and classes.
IMG Path: Customer Relationship Management->Interaction Center Win Client->Customer-Specific System Modifications->Define Customer-Specific Meta Model
3. Once the Meta model file is created, we have to associate it with a Alert Modeler profile.
IMG Path -> Customer Relationship Management->Interaction Center Win Client-> Hidden Components->Alert Modeler->Define Alert Modeler Profiles
In order to do this, create a new Alert Modeler Profile and associate the newly created Meta Model file with it.
Events would be displayed in your newly created Alert Modeler Profile based on the events stored in the Meta model file.
4. First need to capture the ‘SEARCH_TARGET_FOUND’ event and pass relevant parameters to our Alert handler Class method ‘HANDLE_CUSTOM_EVENTS’
Also, we would have to capture our newly defined event ‘TEST_ALERT_MESSAGE’ to display the message in the reminder scripting area.
5. Alert handler function in the Meta model file would refer to our Class method by means of a Class Identifier. You need to maintain it in the Constructor method of our Alert Handler class.
6. Use Method to handle custom events
7. Once the implementation is done, in order to test our scenario, you have to attach our newly created Alert Modeler Profile to our CIC profile using the following IMG path
IMG->Customer Relationship Management->Interaction Center Win Client->Define IC Win Client Profile
8. Now, launch transaction CIC0 and use quick search to search for a business partner; Once you confirm the business partner, a message would be displayed in the reminder scripting area as shown below.
Reward if helpful

  • Generate Sales Orders in mass based on Marketing Campaign (CRM 6.0)

    Hi Support,
I want to generate sales orders in mass through marketing campaign
I have done the following customizing :
    - create a new transaction type used for the Template : sales order template ZSOT and assign to it template type "D"
    - assign item categories to this new transaction type ZSOT
    - enter as communication medium for the channel : the sales order ZSOM that I want to be created in mass (based on the Template)
    - copy control between the 2 transactions : ZSOT and ZSOM
    - copy control between the item categories
    - Then I create in the Web Client UI, a sales order template ZSOT with material and quantity
    - Then I create a marketing campaign and choose as communication medium the sales order and assign the sales order template ZSOT previously created
    - I assign a Target Group to the Campaign
    - I release the campaign
    - I start it to execute it
=> I obtain the message : "To generate sales orders products and quantities have to be assigned."
However the Sales Order Template contains a product and a product quantity
Any idea how to solve the issue ? Is there any step missing on my customizing
    Thanks for your help !

    Dear Thomas,
I have the same problem which you have explained in your thread and i have done the same settings that are mentioned by you.
Even i have tried all the possibilities to get rid of this error but i am unable to resolve this problem.
As per your inputs i have inputted the product in a Campaign but there is no option for entering quantity.
The error i am repeatedly getting is "*To generate sales orders products and quantities have to be assigned* upon executing the campaign.
    I appreciate your earliest reply.
    Many many thanks in advance.

  • Really aggressive marketing campaign for creative cloud

today my Lightroom informed me that there is an update, and asked me if I would like to download the update. I answered "yes" and was taken to the Adobe website. But, instead of being taken to the Adobe Lightroom download page as has happened with all of the previous updates, this time I was taken to a page about creative cloud. I don't want creative cloud. I only want to update my desktop version. So I tried clicking on the way for the desktop version, which is hidden away down in the bottom right corner of the screen. And that takes me to create a cloud. So I tried going to downloads for Lightroom. And I get taken to creative cloud.
I eventually had to call up Adobe on the phone in order to be able to update my desktop version of Lightroom. I let the agent I spoke with know it was very annoying to be subject to this obviously aggressive marketing campaign for creative cloud. When we were done with the call I thanked him for helping me do on the phone what I couldn't do on the website.  I also let him know that  it seems like Adobe is trying very hard to steer people to be creative cloud option and away from the desktop option.  I also let him know that if Adobe ever does away with the desktop version and the creative cloud version is the only alternative I am gone as a customer. I will use Apple photos or some other product. I will not be forced into a subscription-based service against my will.

  • Can you filter a custom report by postcode?  I want to send an email marketing campaign to customers

Can you filter a custom report by postcode?  I want to send an email marketing campaign to customers within a postcode range.  How do you do this? Thanks.

    Hey RP in Oz,
You can run a contacts report and select 'Default Address Type' as an 'Address Details Field' which will include the zip code a customer has inputted. You can then export the report, open it up in Excel (or similar) and filter based on the postcode. Once you have modified the list in excel, formatted it correctly and are satisfied, you can then import the report as a mailing list via E-Mail Marketing > Mailing Lists.

  • Interactive Reports for Marketing Campaigns using HANA

    Dear Experts,

    Your Help is really appreciated.

    David,
There are several drawbacks with the standard functionality that you will encounter:
    -  SAPconnect only supports HTTP url posting or RFC destination setup (which means you need a third party server program)
    -  The mail forms do not impose a limitation on the length of messages
    -  Target groups do not check if the person has a mobile number.
If you look at SMS gateway providers they normally allow use via web service or SMPP.  If you plan on doing "bulk" campaigns where you will generate multi-thousand messages a month then you need to use one of these options.  SMPP is a binary protocol that is way too complicated for a business application to implement.  So web services is your best bet.
If we used mostly standard CRM functionaliy we would do the following for SMS:
    -  Use the segment builder to handle our target groups
    -  Use the personalized mail functionality
    -  Use the open channel exits for segment execution to handle the communication to SMS gateway.
Now keep in mind that for SMS campaigns this is going to be cubersome, and not going to provide all the mobile marketing functionality you need.  It still appears that even for CRM 52/2007 that mobile marketing is not really fully addressed in the solution with several major gaps.
We ended up going down a custom route, because the segment builder was not-user friendly and unstable in CRM 40 and the mail form technology did not meet our needs for sending messages and creating template based scenarios.  We still make use of the CRM business partner master for the distribution.
If you have any further questions on doing SMS campaigns with CRM, please let me know.  This is one area where I have spent some extensive research.  If you are looking for SMS gateway providers in the US, I can also provide some names based on our previous research.
    Thank you,

  • Surveys in Marketing Campaigns

    Hi All
When we send out surveys in Marketing Campaigns, we can insert tracking for tracking responses.
How can we just track that how many BPs opened the survey. Means they clicked on the link ...irrespective of how many did actually respond. Just the BPs who clicked and opened the email.
How to track it and which table to see for the enteries.
    Please help
    Thanks and Regards

    Hello Joost,
the only thing I know is the following:
If you want to classify responses that you capture when executing campaigns, an administrator can create response options that can be assigned to campaigns. A response option can have a positive, negative, or neutral classification.
With the classification you can select, for example, all positive activities in reporting.
When a campaign is assigned to an activity, there’s a check, whether response options are assigned to this campaign.
If there is a default response option, this default will be shown in the newly created activity. You can change the response to another option assigned to the campaign afterwards.
Note: Currently there is reporting and user interface selection based on the response option. For leads and
opportunities we assume to have already a positive feedback. Otherwise we would not have such an object.
Response options can only live with a campaign. When you set a response option to Obsolete, you will not see it anymore in the value help and you can't assign it to campaigns.

  • How do I trigger an email marketing campaign each time a customer orders?

I want to trigger an email campaign to be sent X days after a customer places an order, each time he/she places an order. Specifically this would be a request for the customer to review the product(s) he/she purchased. I can't seem to find a way to trigger this based on the order date. Please help! Thanks!

    Hi Liam,
Thanks for the response. I should clarify my initial question. There are two groups of purchasers that I would like to target with different email marketing campaigns: First time purchasers and, (ii) Repeat purchasers. Ideally the system would be able to distinguish between these two groups during the checkout process so that the correct email campaign could be triggered. I thought about basing it on whether the purchaser was logged in or not (where 'logged in = repeat purchaser'), but our site asks visitors to register very early in the process, so conceivably, a logged in user may very likely be a first time purchaser.
The more I think about it, the more it looks like I will need to manual email marketing list segmentation and management.
I sincerely appreciate any ideas you might have.
    Thanks again!

  • Marketing Campaigns using SMS

  • Email Marketing Campaigns with OS X Server?

I am wondering if OS X includes any additional Mail tools that would assist in designing/handling an opt-in Email marketing campaign. I would basically like to give people the option to sign people up for my newsletter on my website, and track my click through rates and overall success of the tool. I also would like to provide opt-out and other statistics from the success of the campaign.
This seems like it would be more cost effective for me over the long run (running a 10-Client edition on a Mac Mini) than to pay monthly or per-email fees through online services.
Sales actually wanted me to call AppleCare because their supervisor did not know the answer.
I know that the Apple Store Online resells a product called Macware EMail Campaign, but it does not have very glowing reviews on Amazon, although there are only 3. Anyone have some suggestions for the best way to accomplish this type of campaign (would service based really be the best?).

There's nothing standard on Mac OS X Server that will do this, although the tools are there (MySQL, PHP, and more) to build your own application if that's what you want.
There are numerous commercial packages designed just for this purpose, although many are geared for other platforms.
I suggest taking a look at the Mac Products Guide which lists several candidates that might be suitable for your needs.

  • Response options in Marketing Campaigns

    Hi everyone,
I'm trying to demystify the Response Options in the Marketing area.
I'm wondering, how can we use these Response Options?
If I create a direct e-mail campaign I can add Response Options to the Campaign. Nice.
But what can I do with these Response Options?
How can I add these Response Options to the email template I'm sending out (e.g. I want to send out an invite email with two response options, "Yes I will attend", "No, I will not attend" --> How can I actually "ask" the question to my target group in the email template?)
Maybe the Response Options are not used in Direct e-mail campaigns?
To be short, has anyone worked with the Response Options yet in marketing campaigns and can tell me how to actually use them :-)
    Many thanks in advance!

  • HOw to get an Alert based on a Query

I currently have a maintenance plan in place that does a backup, re-indexing, etc..  If a task fails, it sends me an email alert.  I would like to add a "T-SQL Statement Task" that will execute a query and send me an email alert based
on the results of the query.
For example:   Select Cast(case when count(inventory.items) > 1000 then 1 else 0 End as bit) as SendAlert from Inventory
The maintenance plan's alert function constraint seems to be triggered whether the Query executed successfully or not RATHER THAN from the Query Result.
Can I accomplish what I want from within a maintenance plan or is there some other way to do this?
    Thank You.
    Jack

I would create a stored procedure using  the following t-sql code:
    Create Procedure [dbo].[GetInventoryAlert]
    as
    Begin
    Set nocount on
    declare @body varchar(max)
    set @body = cast( (
    select td = SendAlert + '</td><td>'
    from (
    select SendAlert = Cast(case when count(inventory.items) > 1000 then 1 else null End)
    from Inventory) as d
for xml path( 'tr' ), type ) as varchar(max) )
    If Len(Rtrim(@body))>0
    Begin
    set @body = '<table cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2" border="1">'
    + replace( replace( @body, '&lt;', '<' ), '&gt;', '>' )
    + '</table>'
    Set @body='****BODY HEADING OPTIONAL****<br/><br/>'+@body
    exec msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail @profile_name='MAIL PROFILE',
    @from_address='FROM EMAIL ADDRESS',
    @recipients='COMMA SEPARATED RECIPIENTS',
    @subject='SUBJECT OF THE EMAIL',
    @body=@body,
    @body_format='HTML',
    @attach_query_result_as_file=0,
    @query_result_header = 0
    End
    End
Also the above can be embedded as t-SQL in  a maintenance plan tasks control.
I would add an Execute T-SQL Statement Task. Then branch the task where applicable.

  • How to assign status profile to marketing campaign ?

    Dear Friends,
I am working on Marketing Campaign (SAP CRM 4.0) : I want to customize a new status profile for campaign. I create a new one and I don't know where I assign it to camapign : I searched in SDN and I found a message : "to assign status profile, you have to do when you customize campaign type : Marketing -> Marketing Planning and Campaign Management -> Basic Data -> Define Campaign Types/Objectives/Tactics : in this customizing point, when you define campaign type, here is a status profile field".
The problem is I did not find any "status profile" field in this customizing point.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,
Pls follow below said path to create User Status profile
CRM--> Marketing > Marketing Planning and Campaign Management> General Setting --> Change Status Profile for User Status
Once you create Status profile you can see the same in the profile field of Campaign. You will have to assign this profile in the campaign then you can see the statusses in Change Status field,. But these stausses can not over write the system statusses.
    Hope this will help..

  • Creating an Alert Based on Category

    Hi ppl,
We have requirement to create an alert based on the category we choose in the category modeler. Is it possible to do so in standard?
I couldnt find an attribute for category. So, I tried to create a new attribute in the repository, using FG_ICWC_ORDER as the fact gathering service. But couldn't make it working.
Does it work when we use this fact gathering service? I left the Input Support Class blank in Input Support for Conditions. Do we have a input support class for categories?
Has anyone of you have had a similar requirment before? Any help would be great!
    Regards,
    Shwetha

    Hi,
Why don't you define a new event. The same can be done at the following path:
    IMG>Customer Relationship Management>Interaction Center WebClient>Additional Functions>Intent-Driven Interactions>Define Events in Repository
You would need to know the name of the component and the view to define the event and this you could get by pressing F2 in the relevant WEB UI screen.

  • Personalized txt message alerts based on who is sending it?

Is there anyway on the Iphone to set different text message alerts based on who is sending the text? I am a sysadmin and currently I have our servers sending txt message alerts to my corp phone. I'd like set it to send to my iphone with the caveat of giving a different alert sound then other text messages sent by other people.
I just got my iphone yesterday, so please forgive me if there is an easy solution.

In short, no. You can change ring tones for various people however; no individual group alerts.
