IChat error - Server refused

Question

Hope somebody can help me with this . . .
I am trying to add new buddies to my list. I click on the + symobol and enter the details [email protected] and after hitting enter get the following error message. AIM error - the server refused this request.
I'm using iChat Version 4.0.7 (616) if that helps?
Any ideas please?

Recent Buddies is a Virtual Group held on the AIM servers although iChat 4 can turn it on in the Accounts Preferences.
I say Virtual as it does not follow the rules other groups do.
It holds all those people you have not put in your Buddy List but you have had Contact with.
This tends to be clearer if you Use Groups as this requires that you specify a Group when Adding a Buddy.
Normal Groups can be Deleted and names Edited by using the Plus sign at the Bottom of the Buddy List > Edit Groups.
Recent Buddies can not be deleted by this method if it was chosen to be on Show and turned Off (It will still be in the Buddy List) as it is Not a "Real" group.
Right Click the Group name bar and then Use the Delete option there.
With Recent Buddies this does not matter as any contact in there is not in Your Buddy List.
Other Groups will delete any body that is in the Group as well as the Group name.
