After upgrade to 10.9.1, iCloud, Calendar, and app store are unresponsive. What can I do? (This is a second attempt to describe my problem(s); the first was very unclear).
- Clicking Calendar brings up nothing but the banner "moving calendar to server account", a message that does not change.
- Clecking the App Store (dock symbol or Application list) brings up a message: "Cannot connect to App Store".
- Softare Update is unresponsive.

You are wright the index file is 308 KB.
And offcourse that I delete my files and documents is not an Iweb problem, but because my English is not that good, that I thougt I try to tell the whole story, and hope people can read trough the lines.
Why I didn't use Iweb to upload to the server is because the server company recommanded to use file zilla. And I am a nobody with this kind of things, so I did exactly what they tell me to do.
No, i did not make a backup of Iweb and the domain file, but reading other messages on this forum showed me that I can maybe try to make empty the cashfile (?)
and otherwise I have bad luck and have to make my website again. Offcourse I have a lot of examples from all the pages (copied from the local map to my USB stick) and my website is aprox. 15 Mb, (not so big) so it will cost me a few nigths.
But I'm still hoping on a miracle :-)

Is this a new Apple iD? If it is, and you have already set it up, then you have two options:
1. Temporarily put a Credit Card or Gift Card on the account to download the free app. If you put a credit card, then once you have downloaded the app, you should be able to go into your Account preferences and change the payment option to = None.
2. You can download the fee App, and then set up a new Apple ID.

then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.

If not then you will either have to enter card details (you should be able to remove them after entering them), or create a new account (using the instructions on the above link). -
Just bought a new iPhone and am having trouble with iTunes and App Store. I can log in to Cloud, iTunes, and app store but once I try to download, it says "Youe apple id has been disabled". I've reset my password three times and have no issue on my Pad.

Mail, Contacts, Calendar and App Store Not Opening in Yosemite
After 24 hours of buggy overall operation several of the apps stopped working. Specifically Mail, Contacts, Calendar and App Store do not launch. I had same problem with Omnifocus but was able to restore it after a fresh download.
I have tried the standard methods -- (multiple) restarts, Repair permission, fsck -fy, etc. but now need to appeal to "higher power" for help.
I am assuming that without App Store, there is no way to re-download and install Yosemite. So my first question would be -- how to I get Yosemite without App Store? I need to sort this out for future updates as well, including the inevitable 10.10.01
Until that is fixed, I'd also like to know if there is a work around for getting Mail, Contacts and Calendars are restored.

I accidently connected and synced on my mums itunes on her computer. I then did my best to delete of that computers ITUNES. She now has my updates on her APP store. How can i take this away? Thanks
That happened to my brother earlier. He went into Facebooand then into another app and the same thing happened. he ended up having to restore it. Mine stayed with the Apple logo for a bit but its back to normal after pressing the buttons a million times. I hope you get your problem sorted. Goodluck!

You can make a Genius Bar appointment to have the device looked at. If the device is still under warranty and they identify a problem, then Apple makes the final decision as to a replacement. If the device is out of warranty and they identify a problem, you would be offered the opportunity to purchase an out of warranty replacement at a discounted price.

Halfway through the OS X Yosemite update it says I am not connected to the internet (when I know I am because I can search through the app store). How can I fix this? I cannot get on Safari because it requires an update to Mac OS X 10.9 or later.
Just to be clear. You have downloaded the Yosemite installer. However you say while it's updating you get the error you are not online. This is confusing since you shouldn't be able to use your computer in the process of updating.
Exactly where do you see you need to 10.9 to get on Safari? -

I'm using a first generation iPad that's running iOS 421. Need to update to 6.1 but am not being prompted by iPad and cannot locate in app store. How do I fix this?
iOS upadates are NOT in the App Store. Also, 1st gen iPads do not run iOS 6. 5.1.1 is the most recent version for that model.
You will need to connect the iPad to a computer running itunes in order to update form anything prior to 5.0. Update over WiFi wasn't available until 5.0. -
What can I do
if it says open, instead of showing you a cloud icon allowing you to redownwload it - it thinks it is still on your pad.
first, swipe downward from any homescreen to see the search bar, and start to type the title. If it show up as an app, then it is still on your pad. maybe hidden.
Once you verify that it is not on the pad, do a fullreboot. press and hold the sleep and home buttons until you see the apple logo. ignore the red slider. See if that clears it out and allows you do redownload the game.
By the way, is that game any good? -

On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link. If you are doing it on an iOS device (iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch) then tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store (Settings > Store on iOS 5 and below) and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.
