ICloud is no longer syncing my calendar. I keep the gmail calendar at home on my laptop and at work on my desktop, but my phone isn't making the changes! It used to and I haven't changed anything! Help?
iCloud is no longer syncing my calendar on my phone. I do gmail calendar both at home and at work, but it just stopped making the changes to my phone! I don't think I have changed anything and have run through setting to no avail. Can anyone help on this?

iCloud is no longer syncing my calendars. They are showing up as "iCloud" calendars in iCal, but aren't syncing either to the web portal or to other devices. In System Preferences, the iCloud calendar and reminder toggles will not stay checked. They were previously on, and seem to have turned themselves off. When I try to turn them back on, they go through a "setting up" routine, and then turn off again.
I have a back up of the calendar, from which I tried a variety of restorations. But I can't seem to get to get iCloud to talk to my machines anymore.
Any ideas?Thanks for that advice. I've actually gone throught the diasble iCloud--> delete data--> reboot--> restart iCloud process a couple of times. The problem doesn't seem to go away. The only thing I can think of is that my offline calendars (the ones on my computer) are more up to date than the iCloud calendars, and iCloud is resisting syncing a bunch of unknown data.
For the moment, I've just loaded all of my calendar data into Google calendars, which seem to sync cleanly with my iCal. -
I use the "Tripit" travel app on both my iPhone and iPad2. While I have no problem getting my Tripit info synced to the Gmail Calendar on my iPhone, I am unable to get Tripit to sync to the Gmail calendar on my iPad, even though the setup information (email address, settings, etc.) are exactly the same. I know that Tripit is installed correctly on the iPad, as I am able to go to that app directly and correctly see all of my info. However, even though I've set up the secondary "Tripit" calendar feed (to Gamil) on the iPad, it's not synchronizing and showing up. Is anyone else having this problem?
All I had to do was complain. I synced my iPhone to the Windows machine, checked the other account at iTunes prompting (where no apps had shown up previously), reconnected the iPad, and 140 apps downloaded including the App Store. I have no idea why.

How can I stop syncing my outlook calendar with iCloud and not lose the existing calendar data in outlook? The calendar data which downloads to Outlook was also wiped off the Gmail calendar after the iCloud sync, how can I restore the data to Gmail?

My iPhone is syncing to iCloud, but iCloud is no longer syncing the contacts and calendar data to Outlook 2007. I have a PC, Toshiba laptop, running Windows Vista. It was working up until about 2 weeks ago. I need my calendar to sync accurate in order for my billing to be accurate. Please post any remedies that you might know of. I have already gone into Settings, Mails-contacts-calendars, default calendar is reflecting the icloud.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I do not sync my mail via iCloud.Create a test even on your iPhone calendar, then check your calendar on icloud.com from your computer to see if it appears there. If not, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar and be sure you have selected an iCloud calendar as your default and not something else like On My iPhone, a Google calendar, etc. If you haven't, make this change, then add a new event and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com now. If new events still aren't appearing on icloud.com, add any missing calendar events from your phone to your calendar on icloud.com. Once the calendar on icloud.com is up to date, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (they will still be in iCloud), then after a minute or so, turn Calendars back to On. Then add a new event on your phone and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com now.
Then repeat this process on your iPad. -
ipod Touch 5th generation. I changed the original passcode and then forgot, so it says 'iPod is disabled'. It hadn't been synced with iTunes, so I switched it off, held home button, connected to Mac, did restore on iTunes twice but it doesn't work. Help!

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Well, turbo.264 is indeed very nice to have - even for converting full-sized movies. It entirely depends on your needs. The top players (AVPlayerHD / ProPlayer, It's Playing, GoodPlayer) all have different strengths and weaknesses. iCloud has my old Apple ID and is prompting for a password, but I want to put in the new id, I can't because it is grey and there is no edit option. I'm prompted for a password to an account that doesn't exist. Anyone know what I can do to fix this or why this is happening.? I had no issue putting in my new Apple ID everywhere else, I could sign out of the old and inactive account and then sign back in using my new and proper one. However, after the update to 7.3 it did a whole welcome to yr iPad and a set up thing and it went to set up iCloud and had my old Apple ID in grey where I can't change or edit it, it wants the password, when I put in the old password, it say yr Apple ID is incorrect but yet it won't let me change it??????? Anyone???
Sign out and back into your apple id from Settings>iTunes and App stores>(Your apple ID)>Sign Out and then sign in again with the new address. Close app store from running in the background (or restart the phone if your unsure how to do this). If when trying to update any apps they are still asking for the old apple ID, delete and re-install those apps.

I use LR5 on my Mac Desktop (Yosemite 10.10.1) and it works fine. I have downloaded LR5 to my new MacBookAir (Yosemite 10.10.1) and it will not open. Message says program in running on too many computers. I once had it on another MacBookPro (Yosemite 10.10.1), but no longer use that computer and LR5 does not show up in the applications.
What is the exact complete word-for-word error message?

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

I mistakenly began by setting up a sync account with my laptop. When I connected my desktop, the tabs etc from my laptop added to those on my desktop, but not vice versa. I'd like my desktop tabs to add to the laptop... how can I make this happen?
Is the only way to set up a new account starting with my desktop and with a different e-mail address etc? If so, perhaps the system should be tweaked to make such changes easier?Thanks Ibai!
The article you linked did not help... I can see the screen with the code in the boxes on my laptop, and the same screen with a different code in the boxes on the other computer, but I can't get an empty code box in either computer. Both offer me a code to transfer to the other, but neither will empty... so I cannot replace the code on either computer with the code from the other .
However... your second suggestion, that I pretend I don't have the other device with me, enter my account, password and sync key... then it all synced to the first computer. It seems an unwieldy/non-intuitive route to follow. Did I do something incorrect the first time?
But now... the next puzzle... the screen warns me... "Be sure to leave Firefox Sync connected so your data will automatically sync every day." but it doesn't suggest how I should leave it connected. As far as I know I didn't switch it off before, and I certainly don't know how to disconnect it. -
I backed up my iphone 4 and did an upgrade and changed my Apple ID and password but my phone has not recognised the new ID to upgrade my apps via the iphone. How do I get rid of the old Apple ID when it comes to upgrading apps.
I have been into setting>store and signed out and signed back in and it still asks for old ID and password.Everything you've had up to now has been tied to your old Apple ID. You cannot switch it over to a new Apple ID. You should contact iTunes support to help you with this:

If you go to Disk Utility, can you see the drive on the left hand side? If not, then the drive is dead. You'll have to buy a new drive.

Hi all when I send a text to a contact (iphone4s) the contacts name changes to a phone number and the name is lost. I then have to resave it again, googled it but can't see anyone with the same issue, any ideas ?
There is another setting for "Start Conversation from", that needs to be set to phone number.
