IDoc Package to File using Multi Mapping urjent

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario where PI 7.1 need to receive IDocs in a package and should send three files to target system. I am using multi mapping concept here, where i have created one message mapping, one operation mapping with three interfaces specified in it. I am getting the error "Inbound interface found several times (for same sender and receiver) for the outbound interface" .

Please make occurence of the message type in message mapping as 0..unbounded.
Also in operation mapping the occurence of inbound interface as 0..unbounded.
Also now in configuration-->interface determination... access the new operation mapping.... u will c the occurence as 0..unbounded. Refresh the cache ad execute it once more...

Idoc to flat file using Integration process does not show up at all

Hello All,
I created a scenario IDOC to Flat File using Integration Process and one without IntegrationProcess. I am able to execute the one without Integration Process easily.
However when I send the IDOC from SAP then the Integration Process scenario just does not work.
I Checked SXMB_MONI There is no entry for the Integration Process.I can see entry for other without Integration Process.
SXI_CACHE : I can see my Integration Process active
SWEQADM : I have activated the Event Queue and Background job
SWF_XI_ADM_BPE : ALL BPE is showing green status.
All syntax check on IP are fine.
There is no Basis Help for me so there could be some additional basis steps which need to be configured. Has anyone faced such an issue with Integration Process?

Hope this might help you. when u configure an IDoc as Sender with BPM this is how you proceed.
1. let us split the scenario into two.
a. Sender to BPM ( Integration Process).
b. BPM to Receiver.
2. First let us configure the first Sender to BPM.
a. Sender Agreement( Not required ).
b. Receiver Agreement( NOT Required).
c. Receiver Determination( Sender Service, Outbound Interface, Receiver Service(Integration Process).
d. Interface Determination( Inbound Interface(Sender Abstract Interface), Message Mapping(NOT Required if your using transformation stepin Integration Process)).
3. Now let us configure the Second BPM to Receiver.
a. Sender Agreement( NOT Required)
b. Receiver Agreement( Sender Service(Integration process), Receiver Abstarct Interface,Receiver service, Inbound Interface).
c. Receiver Determination( Sender Service(Integration Process), Receiver Abstarct Interface,Receiver Service).
d. Interface Determination( Inbound Interface, Message Mapping(NOT Required)).
So Finally we have One Receiver Agreement, Two Receiver Determinations, Two Interface Determinations.

Hello,
The XSD you are using is from Data Type and you are using it for mapping.
Instead export XSD for Message Type and also pass the XML schema for source that will solve the issue and your XSLT will be generated.

I think instead of going with JAVA mapping you can write a custom adapter module for it.

New line for each segment for Inhouse files using bic mapping..!!

Hi ,
Idoc to File scenario.
In the receiver adapter, we need to convert the XML into file(Inhouse format) by using seeburger mapping.
We have generated the map for this in bic and used in Module configuration of receiver adapter.
Now the question is I need to get each segment of XML file into a separate line in the output file like below.
HDR ... ......
DTL .........
DTL ........
where HDR is the header and DTL is the details segments.
Iam getting the output in a single line like HDR.........DTL.........DTL.........
but not as expected like above .
I tried by using newLine = true in module configuration, but no use.
I digged into bic designer to search for any option , but no use.
Kindly suggest me if any one has any idea on this.

IDoc to Flat file scenario - abap mapping

Hi All,
I have to do some IDOC to Flat file scenarios. In Order to generate the file in required format I will have to add all segments(Nodes) of Idoc in FCC receiver. We also have other option of doing it through ABAP Mapping which I found in one blog.
Now my question is : Is it better way of doing it through FCC or ABAP Mapping?
Ofcourse from development point of view ABAP Mapping looks easier as FCC is very time consuming task.
Is there and performance issues in either of the approach?

Importing xml file using standard maps in mdm

Hi Experts,
In a scenario of getting the data from ECC system to the MDM system(using MDM standard business contents and standard Maps), we are two cases.
Case 1 : Using MDM_CLNT_EXTR, we extract the main table records into the standard IDoc structure and sent to PI and PI converts this standard IDoc in to an XML file and sends it to the inbound folder of MDM and from there using the standard map, it is imported into MDM.(most common method of implementation)
Case 2: we are using XML File option in Partner Profile to store the XML file in the Global Directory of ECC system and we are generating XML files using the transactions BD10, BD12 and BD14 for the respective business objects.And then copy these XML files from the Global directory and plae it in the inbound folder of MDM manually.
Now the question is can the xml file in the case 2 be used as a substitute for the xml of case1 and
can we use the same standard map to import the XML file abtained from case2?
Please share your experience to solve this issue.

this depends on the business content you are using. Some parts of the content use XSLT mappings on PI to change the message content. Please refer to the related SAP content notes for details:

How to skip first TWO Lines of .txt file using XSLT Mapping

 How can i skip the first two Lines when i am writing the XSLT Mapping ?
 That <TEST> and empty line shouldn't go the rfc .
 How can i skip and sent to rfc using XSLT Mapping ?

you can avoid the empty lines in your File Content Conversion by defining offset.
Under Document Offset, specify the number of lines that are to be ignored at the beginning of the document.
This enables you to skip comment lines or column names during processing. If you do not make an entry, the default value is zero lines.

then the generated XML after FCC will not have the empty lines.

Webservice to Idoc/File using ABAP mapping

Hi Experts,
I need your expert advise on below scenario.The flow of the scenario is..
1)I will get a control record from a webservice(SOAP sender adpater), this initiates the process flow.
2)based on control record ,The ABAP mapping program will call a program(within the PI sys) to fetch the data from DB table.then the ABAP mapping program will have to create 2 messages for the target. One is IDoc and another one is File.
Pls suggest the best approach.

what i am going to do is, I will this main program from abap mapping by passing the control record information.based on this control record,the main program will fetch data for ABAP mapping.From ABAP mapping, i have to generate 2 messages,one for IDOc and another one is for File.

I want to genarate fixed legth file using XSLT mapping

I am doing File to Mail scenario, text file as an attachmetachment in reciver side, i have successfully send the text file as an attachment in the mail. but i need fixed length fields in the file.
I know we can do it in XSLT mapping using <xsl:if> or <xsl:choose> but i dont know how to use it.

Generating excel files using XSLT mapping

I am working on a proxy to file scenario and we have a requirement of generating .xls file in a spreadsheet format at FTP server.I have done xslt mappping for creating the excel file in spreadsheet.But getting following error in channel monitoring.

IDOC in transformation step with multi mapping

Hello,
I have found this posting
Splitting a message into multiple Idocs
and now I am a little bit afraid that our planned process using BPM is not working:
a) XI receives an IDOC
b) XI continues with calling an external system sync.
c) Sync message response and IDOC are used to be merged into one new message M using transformation step (2 messages into 1 new)
d) send message M to receiver
Now I have read (see link) that IDOCs cannot be used in such multimapping steps. Is this true?
Can anybody give some information?

So I think there is a misunderstanding in using the "multimapping" term?
Multimapping in a simple Interfacemapping for 1 sender to n receiver is different from the "multimapping" issue in a transformation step in BPM?
The central assumption in the mentioned blog was:
IDOC cannot be used in multimapping because IDOC adapter runs on ABAP engine.
In BPM transform step we are on Java side and using XML payload! So this will set us apart from the IDOC adapter ABAP engine issue?

Saving Functions or Packages As Files using is alert to errors

I just downloaded the sqldeveloper 1.55. I often have to save functions as files (for MS VSS usage). I have noticed these defects again:
- no default name for the file (why not the name of the function or package)
- no check if the target file is readonly or otherwise saving files.
I have told this about year ago - having no effect on the product.

I mean actually this: 1. select the function
2. on the right mouse choose: Export DDL
3. Choose Save to file
Now there is no default name and the directory is not remembered if you save more functions. Also, no error message if saving fails.
