Idoc---XI----Webservice Sync Communication

Dear Friends,
I Need to Develop IDOC-XI--SOAP(Webservice) Sync Communication Interface
I have created the External Def by exporting & importing the Standard Idoc
Iam using this External Def as Request message from SAP
And I created a generic Response Message structure to receive the response from Webservice.
and Imported the WSDL File which has the Request & response Structure
Can any one let me know how many Message Interfaces needs to create for the same Scenario

Hi Sheshgiri,
You don't need to create any message interfaces as the Idoc as well as the external definitions themselves act as message interfaces. So, you can use them directly.
If you are planning to use BPM, then you might have create abstract interfaces.

Follow the steps given below
In IR create following objects:
1: Import Web Service definition file in External Definition.
2: Import IDoc ZDLVRY. (I have used custom IDoc)
3: Create Message Interface
     a. Abstract Synchronous for sender
     b. Abstract Synchronous for Receiver
     c. Abstract Asynchronous for request
     d. Abstract Asynchronous for response
4. Create Message Mapping for Source Request to Target Request
5. Create Message Mapping for Target Response to Source Response.
6. Create Interface mapping and specify proper input in request and response tab.
7. Create Integration Process
Configuration in ID:
1. Create Integration Process for BPM created in IR.
2. Create receiver determination
    a. From SAP R/3 to Integration Process
    b. From Integration Process to Third Party (Web Service)
    c. From Integration Process to SAP R/3
3. Create Interface Determination
    a. From SAP R/3 to Integration Process
    b. From Integration Process to Third Party (Web Service)
    c. From Integration Process to SAP R/3
4. Create Receiver Agreement
5. Create Communication channel for Soap Receiver and IDoc Receiver.
6. Create Receiver Agreement for Soap Receiver
7. Create Receiver Agreement for IDoc Receiver

IDOC to Webservice to Email - Async to Sync Scenario

Dear Experts,
I have a scenario: IDOC to Webservice (Async to Sync)
The response from the webservice needs to be sent via email. So I have a Email channel added to the Business service (ECC).
I tried this with BPM, but it does not work complaining about multiple receivers in a sync receiver interface.
Anyone has done similar to the above?
1. Using BPM?
2. Without BPM?

Repository:
1. Async ABS Interface for webservice request message
2. Sync ABS interface with webservice request message and response message
3. Async ABS interface for the reposnse message
5. Async IB interface for hte email message
4. Message mapping between IDOC and webservice request message
5. Message mapping between webservice response message and email message
6. 2 Interface mappings with the above mapping objects
7. Integration Process BPM with Receive step (Async w/s req), Sync send step (w/s req and respp) and Async send step (w/s response)
Directory:
1. Receiver agreement with BPM as sender and Webservice as receiver with SOAP receiver channel
2. Receiver agreement with BPM as sender and ECC as receiver with email receiver adapter
3. Interface determination for request mapping
4. Interface detrmination for response mapping
5. Receiver determination with ECC as sender and BPM as receiver
6. Receiver determaination with BPM as sender and Webservice as receiver
7. Receiver determination with Webservice as sender and ECC as receiver
is the above sufficient and right?

u can use asynch/synch bridge in bpm for synch idoc-xi-soap.

Idoc to Webservice using BPM

Hi
I am using the BPM for the IDOC to Webservice Synchronous Scenarion...
When i trigger the IDOC from SAP it stuck in the Queue ...when i checked in the SXMB_MONI and when i clicked in PE it taking me to the INbound Queue ..
When i opened the Queue its showing the SYSFAIL ..and when i double click on that its shoes me Permanent ERRor in BPE Inbound Processing..
In BPM i used the Receive and Send Synchronous and Send Asynch steps ..
Did i miss Any thing

I think for IDOC to Webservice you are going for Async to Sync bridge with BPM and have the similar steps as mentioned in below link.
Asyn - Synch BPM - Async/Sync Communication using JMS adapter without BPM (SP 19)
If there is some other flow plz let me know. Also let me know the exact error that you are facing with it.

Idoc to soap sync without bpm. is it possible? Helping me..

i have a small clarification Idoc to soap sync interface in sap pi 7.0. i created IDoc to Soap sync using BPM but some times the signals are stuck due to load issue in swpr, while reprocess those signals all going successfully to the receiver. So We are trying to eliminate BPM.
I just wanted to know Idoc to Soap sync scenario without BPM is possible or not in SAP PI 7.0?

Hi Kiran,
Could you please let us know the exact requirement. How do you want to send the response back to IDOC?
ASync - Sync Bridge with IDOC sender is not possible in PI 7.0.
If It is something like IDOC --> SOAP --> IDOC , And If the SOAP request is small then you can use SOAP Lookup in IDOC to IDOC Scenario.
In The mapping You can do a lookup and get the response from SOAP(Webservice) and map that to your Target IDOC.
This is one possible way for you without BPM in PI7.0.

i am getting error : SOAP: call failed: java.net.UnknownHostException:
In the receiver SOAP Communication Channel i dont have the SOAP Action.. is this mandatory
to fill the SOAP Action in the Receiver SOAP Communication Channel...

In ur altova XML spy ..open the WSDL, find out what is your
<soap:address location="
http://sapapp02.xxx.xxx.xxx.com:8002/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:
xxx:CC_xxxy (this is just example soap address in WSDL)
u copy the SOAP address location from ur WSDL
( http://sapapp02....xxxy)
and paste in SOAP Comm. Channel connection parameters.
Check it again.
I think the SOAP URL which u use in Altova xml spy and SOAP CC is different.
Plz try and let me know the response.

You need BPM

You dont need a "bridge", just take a synchronous send step
3. How do I use this bridge in my scenario and customize it?
Map the IDoc to request container and the response container to the second IDoc.
Your need 4 container, receive step, transformation, send step (synchronous), transformation, send step (asyncronous)

Hello together,
I don't find any useful posts for a IDoc to WebService szenario inclusive async-sync-bridge.
Is there no step-by-step blog for such a scenario?

It is RFC -> XI -> WebService scenario, but it should be fairly easy to change the RFC part with IDOC.

Halo Gurus,
In general,if we have scenario involving webservices,we get WSDL file and use it in scenario development.
In case,if WSDL is not provided ,can anyone help me to understand how to proceed with the scenario?
Please provide more details,what are the necessary things that needs to be in place for stating a scenario that involves
webservices.

Hi M.Raj,
Your scenario is IDOC to WebServices, here if in case the WSDL file is not available then you could generate the wsdl file in XI Integration Directory.
Please follow the below steps,
1. Create the Data type Message type and Message interface. (Use the Data type structure as per your requirments,, lets assume you have similar structure as IDOC type and you have creaetd in Integration Repository)
2. Then do the regular mappuing and develope the other objects (Interface mapping, Integratuion scenario etc )in similar way as per any normal scenario
3. Import the integration scenario in and make the regular development in Integration directory (ID).
4. After activate all the development, in ID goto >Tools>Define WebService
5. one wizard will be open, press continue.
6. Give the Integration server SOAP Inbound channel as URL in below format
http://<host>:<port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=<party>:<service>:<communication channel>
Remember the above link is case sensitive. If party is not available use it as channel=:<><service>:<communication channel>
7. Select the Outbound Message Interface and continue.
8. give Service details and Interface details as per previous screen. (can press BACK button to see it)
9. Finish --> to generate the wsdl.
You could use this wsdl to deploy in the Webservice and can process it futrher.
If you have different wsdl in webservice then this will not work..

I am using Asyn-synch bridge.
While I am creating Synch_ABS ( IDOC & File ) it is showing that u cannot create interface with IDOC & non IDOC,
How should i proceed the scdenario.

If you have selected JMSMessageID, JMSCorrelationID, or JMSProperty and entered a JMS message ID in these fields, you should see the Remove 'ID:' Marker from JMSMessageIDindicator. Set the indicator.
This is necessary because the JMS specification stipulates that each JMS message ID starts with 'ID'. However, this conflicts with ISO-11578.
- JMSMessageID (Uniqueness Is JMS-Provider-Dependent)
(String) The unique message ID. Note that this is not a required field and can be null. Since the JMS provider might not use your provided message ID, the Connector sets a special property called $jms.messageid after sending a message. This is to insure that the message ID always is available to the user. To retrieve this value use conn.getProperty("$jms.messageid") in your After Add hook.
- JMSCorrelationID (Uniqueness Is JMS-Sender-Dependent)
(String) This header is set by the application for use by other applications.

And Expecting Response(Sucess/Failure) from Third Party system.
My understading is IDOC wont support Synchronous communication.
If synchronous comm is possible in IDOC to SOAP scenario could you please elobrate the Requirements and detail the procedures with ID and IR configuration.
