Need to Develop IDOC-XI--SOAP(Webservice) Sync Communication Interface
I have  importing the Standard Idoc & External Def  for WSDL ,which has the Request & Response Structure.
I need to handle the SYNC message in the XI  and ignore it/ do not pass to the source system.

Follow the steps given below
In IR create following objects:
1: Import Web Service definition file in External Definition.
2: Import IDoc ZDLVRY. (I have used custom IDoc)
3: Create Message Interface
     a. Abstract Synchronous for sender
     b. Abstract Synchronous for Receiver
     c. Abstract Asynchronous for request
     d. Abstract Asynchronous for response
4. Create Message Mapping for Source Request to Target Request
5. Create Message Mapping for Target Response to Source Response.
6. Create Interface mapping and specify proper input in request and response tab.
7. Create Integration Process
Configuration in ID:
1. Create Integration Process for BPM created in IR.
2. Create receiver determination
    a. From SAP R/3 to Integration Process
    b. From Integration Process to Third Party (Web Service)
    c. From Integration Process to SAP R/3
3. Create Interface Determination
    a. From SAP R/3 to Integration Process
    b. From Integration Process to Third Party (Web Service)
    c. From Integration Process to SAP R/3
4. Create Receiver Agreement
5. Create Communication channel for Soap Receiver and IDoc Receiver.
6. Create Receiver Agreement for Soap Receiver
7. Create Receiver Agreement for IDoc Receiver

    > Soap / Sync communication, the idea is that i update the Idoc Status back on erp using and status idoc, i got the whole scenenario working but the Async - Sync bridge part with the status idoc, i've been reading a lot but i cant seem to find a good tutorial that helps me implement the bridge, i found this tutorial :

    do you guys think i can make a workround so i dont have to do a bridge, because performance is a BIG issue on this scenario and i've read that BPM degrades performance,

    Hi Roberto,
    Idoc doesnot support the synchrnous call. What you can do is send an ALEAUD IDOCs  back as response. Please see this document for this:

    Dear Friends,
    I Need to Develop IDOC-XI--SOAP(Webservice) Sync Communication Interface
    I have created the External Def by exporting & importing the Standard Idoc
    Iam using this External Def as Request message from SAP
    And I created a generic Response Message structure to receive the response from Webservice.
    and Imported the WSDL File which has the Request & response Structure
    Can any one let me know how many Message Interfaces needs to create for the same Scenario

    Hi Sheshgiri,
           You don't need to create any message interfaces as the Idoc as well as the external definitions themselves act as message interfaces. So, you can use them directly.
    If you are planning to use BPM, then you might have create abstract interfaces.

  • PI to SOAP webservice performace issue

    Dear All,
    I have seen message expired error/no response error from one of IDOC--> PI--> SOAP Webservice sceanrio when PI have sending bulk of messages request to SOAP webserver at a time.
    This scenario has already implemented using BPM because of complexity/ synchronous communcations.
    According my research multiple IDOC's were triggred from SAP system at the same time/some seconds difference, when PI received these IDOC's and processing to SOAP webservice immediately when bulk of messages contact the same time and/or may be same data processing in Webservice and giving the no response/ message expired exception and currently synchronous time set to 5 min but no useful.
    Can I know how to process the message one after another when PI contacting the SOAP adapter,
    Is their any possible to implement SOAP look up/Soap module for process one after another message?

  • Idoc to soap sync without bpm. is it possible? Helping me..

    Hi Experts,
    i have a small clarification Idoc to soap sync interface in sap pi 7.0. i created IDoc to Soap sync using BPM but some times the signals are stuck due to load issue in swpr, while reprocess those signals all going successfully to the receiver. So We are trying to eliminate BPM.
    I just wanted to know Idoc to Soap sync scenario without BPM is possible or not in SAP PI 7.0?

    Hi Kiran,
    Could you please let us know the exact requirement. How do you want to send the response back to IDOC?
    ASync - Sync Bridge with IDOC sender is not possible in PI 7.0.
    If It is something like IDOC --> SOAP --> IDOC , And If the SOAP request is small then you can use SOAP Lookup in IDOC to IDOC Scenario.
    In The mapping You can do a lookup and get the response from SOAP(Webservice) and map that to your Target IDOC.
    This is one possible way for you without BPM in PI7.0.

  • Idoc (async) - soap (sync) - file (async)

    Hi.
    I have a flow from idoc (async) to webservice (soap sync) and I want the response from soap to be written in file (async).
    I want to do this without BPM and I have read some posts about using modules RequestResponseBean and ResponseOnewayBean.
    Can someone help me with this step by step.
    I have in ESR a OM that is async because of the outbound Idoc. Do I need a sync OM for the soap call and another async OM for the response to the file.
    Where do I need to put the modules? In the SOAP receiver?
    I know there are some threads that cover some of this but I couldn't find any that cover the whole of my issue step by step.

    Yes doing async to sync is possible without bpm. YOu already got the design solution.

    Sender Channel.  In your case you might not need channel for idoc but for this configuration you might need to create one. That is my guess.
    In the module section sequence as follows
    1) AF_Modules/RequestResponseBean   Type:  Local Enterprise Bean    Module key   1
    2) CallSapAdapter                Type Local Enterprise Bean    Module Key 2
    3) AF_Modules/ResponseOnewayBean     Type Local Enterprise Bean  Module Key   3

    Hello friends!
    I have a problem with development of acknowledgement system with SAP(Idoc) <=> XI <=> ThirdPart(WebService)  scenario.
      My case:
    Scenario looks like:
    SAP(Idoc) <=>(Idoc adapter) XI (SOAP adapter)<=> ThirdPart(WebService)
      It must work this way:
    SAP system send IDOC, then XI map it and send it via SOAP-adapter to third part webservice. Then webservice answer to XI with structure сontains "TRUE" or "FALSE",
    and then XI must inform SAP ALE/IDOC system if current information from idoc was successfully added to webservice or not.
    But how can I get it? As far as I understand ALE/IDOC system I have to create ALEAUD by myself, put status of idoc depends on webservice return and send ALEAUD idoc to SAP.
    I'am right?

    You can use BPM for this Idoc--Soap Sync Process
    Design objects:
    Data type & Message Type
    1) Import the IDOC and Later you import the Idoc, doble click on it a export it to your driver, next import it as External Definition for reason becouse if not, you wont be able to create a MI type synch with IDOC and genericResponse structure
    2) Create data type for your Response Type of IDOC
    3) Import the WSDL File For Request and the Response Type
    4) Create the Message types according to the Data types which we created
    Messgae Interface:
    1) Outbound synchronous:
        output message will be ur idoc external definition file
        input message will be ur message type that u have created.
    2) Abstract Outbound Synchronous:
        use the same as in Outbound Synchronous
    3) Inbound Synchronous:
        input message will be ur request message of RFC/WebService
        output message will be ur response message of RFC/Webservice
    4)Abstract Inbound Sunchronous:
        input message will be ur request message of RFC/WebService
        output message will be ur response message of RFC/Webservice
    Mapping
    Request Message Mapping:
    b/w ur idoc external definiton and request message of RFC/WS
    response Message Mapping:
    b/w ur Response message of RFC/WS and ur message type
    Interface Mapping
    Import MI(abstract) of IDOC
    Import MI of WS
    select the mapping for request and response Tab
    BPM
    1) In container window define a variable named IDoc_ABS with category abstract interface and   
        type (select the MI of IDOC alone)
       define a variable named GenericRespnse_abs with category abstract interface and type (select         
       MI of genericResponse alone)
    2) Create a Recieve Step --> in property message select the container you define before of idoc.
    3) Define a Send Step--> mode synchronous
        select MI type abstract and sync (idoc and genericResponse)
        for property request message selects container Idoc_ABS
        for property response message selects container GenericRespnse_abs.
    Save your Changes and thats all for BPM
    *Configuration *
    1) Create scenario
        Assign BS and create comunication channels with QoS (quality of service) type BE
    2) Import your BPM
       Create a Receiver Determination
    -->in the target service select the BPM. Save
    -->In overview windown at foot windowns select MI IDoc_abs only. nothing else
    Create a Receiver Determination
    -->here the system who send data is BPM
    -->in the target service select the BS of receiver system.Save
    -->In overview windown at foot windowns select interface mapping and assing communication channel
    what we do here. the flow is next
    1) Receive data from sender system and send it to BPM
    2) BPM call bs of target system (WS). how? because in interface determination you selected    
       before the interface mapping

    Hi Lavanya,
    Its very hard to tell exactly where it is going wrong. Some issues are already mentioned by prateek. Apart from it you can take the receiver payload and see whether it is the same as expected by the webservice or not. If possible try to load this payload manually so that if any issues are there you may come to know.

  • IDoc - XI - SOAP - XI - Mail

    Hi all,
    I want to do the following scenario:
    IDoc is sent to XI, Xi is doing a Soap call with information from the Idoc, from the soap call I receive a response code. This response code will be sent by mail TOGETHER with info from the Idoc.
    I've made the scenario from Idoc to Soap call. I also know how to sent information out with the mail adapter.
    Where the problem is for me, is the combination of this all together.
    I guess I have to use BPM for this?
    Can anyone point me into the right directions for this problem?
    Thinks like wich message types, interface mappings etc?

    U may perform a Idoc - Xi - Mail scenario with Soap lookup in mapping
    Webservice Calls From a User Defined Function.

    we have an IDOC to SOAP scenario in which we have got WSDL from the client for the targets.. Please let us know the WSDL would be the message type and we need to create interface for it . Also the SOAP header is not appearing in the target  xml.

    This means when the data is sent to the webservice it will contain the SOAP header just that we cannot see it in Moni . Also
    What about the acknowledgement . Our message is successfull but with message that awaiting acknowledgement.
    What we basically need a synchronous scenario of IDOC to SOAP but the response not going back to SAP-R3 . We recieve the response only in SAP-PI. Saw some blogs but the message is going back to SAP-R3. Please help us on this

  • IDoc to SOAP Receiver Fault Message Handling?

    Hi,
    I am working on IDoc to SOAP Scenario (IDoc -> PI -> SOAP). It is in async mode without BPM. This works fine as long as there is no error on the SOAP receiver side. How to handle the falut message raised by the SOAP receiver and send it back the SAP ECC.
    Do I need to use ALEAUD IDoc for this? If Yes, how to configure this to handle fault message? Is there any other way of doing it?
    Could you please give steps to handle the fault message?

  • IDoc to SOAP scenario is showing error

    Dear Experts,
    We were trying a scenario which is IDoc-XI 3.0->SOAP and where the WebService is situated outside our office network. Our network team have bypassed proxy for accessing that WebService URL and the same is accessible from our XI3.0 application server from browser. We have configured the scenario and when we have tested the scenario from RWB->Component M onitoring->Integration Engine->Test and this has worked fine. But when we have tested the scenario by triggering IDoc from the R/3 system, it is throwing the below mentioned error in both at the comm chanel and at the SXMB_MONI acknowledgement.
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 403 Service Error
    points to be noted here:
    1. Business Service has been configured correctly for triggering ALEAUD messages and ALEAUD messages are reaching R/3 successfully.
    2. We have chosen option Keep Headers and Do not use SOAP header options.
    3. We are passing some values to the SOAP Header from SOAP channel.
    Please could somebody help us on the root cause of the error message.
    We have run report IDX_NOALE for that particular IDoc so that it doesn't return any acknowledgement back to the R/3 system.

    Dear,
    IDoc to Soap scenario we have to import wsdl at receiver end and map the field from the mapping document but some times receiver end some changes may happen. if it is correct only your mapping we have to conclude from the below points.
    1. Check the mapping in Message Mapping and Operation Mapping Test and conclude.
    2. you should check url from receiver that is correct or wrong.
    3. ask the wsdl from receiver end.
    the given ED and receiver side application is same this type of error will not come.
    Please check at receiver application or else what ever new fields are added in reciver may be miss mach of ED.

  • Issue in IDOC to SOAP Senario

    Hello Experts,
    Hi have created IDOC to SOAP scenario .in which three different type of idocs are sent to XI system and in turn XI will send SOAP XML to CRM system.
    The three different idocs are invoking  three different services in CRM...bascially it is the Funciton Module.
    So my question is in SOAP action i need to specify only that FM or any thing other than that..
    Pls advice on this.

    Vishal,
    You said you are using SOAP adapter, and also saying it is a function module. If you are uisng SOAP adapter then I hope you are sendign it to a webservice in CRM. You can either give an action or you can keep blank also. IF you want to go give then open the wsdl of the webservice and search for ACTION. There you will see a name and you can give that name.

    Scenario is HTTP(request)->XI->SOAP(webservice) ->XI->HTTP(response)
    2 messsage mappings for request and response (syncronous)
    1 interface mapping
    HTTP payload reaches XI from there it appears problem translating request data to webservice external URL "http://webservices.imacination.com/distance/Distance.jws". 
    Message mappings when tested with sample xml in intergration repository results in success. Meaning source populated data gets copied to target in IR testing (both for request and response).
