[IDS CS2 JS]: Connecting / Calling

Connecting to the IDS:
The Test client that is included in the installation can only connect trough the SOAP interface.
we've managed to get the test client to work, but are wondering if there are any alternative ways to connect to the IDS.
Is it possible to call IDS from a browser / JavaScript, and tell it to start a script?
Can you add a Parameter to that call ? (such as a FilePath)

Several developers have integrated InDesign Server into web applications. In these solutions, InDesign Server is typically called by one of the server-side web application components, not directly from the browser.
There are tools available for JavaScript to be able to call a Web service (SOAP), so using these tools it should be possible for JavaScript running in a browser to call InDesign Server directly.
If this doesn't work for you, you could write and InDesign Server plug-in that the browser could communicate with directly.

  • Call forward to unity connection call handler

    have  the following setup:
    cucm 8.6
    cuc 8.6
a cti route point (DN 1000 )with forward all to unity connection call handler.
phone users who choose to have some quiet time can forward all their calls to the cti rp.
    1. i need to allow only specfic DNs the ability to forward to the cti rp.
    2. at times that  the allowed DNs didnt choose to forward to cti rp then normal behaviour should occur - busy or unanswerd calls should go to DNs personal voice mail.
    thanks

You can assign a specific partition to cti-rp and assign it to a CSS and this CSS should be assigned to those users (at call forward settings in line) only to whom you are trying to give this facility and for other users you can
or you can create a TP for it with specific partition and set the called number as per voice mail.

  • Facetime suddenly stopped "connecting" calls

I have a Mac Mini (desktop) and have been successfully using FaceTime without any problems since I purchased it.  Recently, and suddenly, it is not connecting calls.  It happens when I try to call out, and it happens when someone tries to call me.  (having said that, I only use it with 3 or 4 people).  The call will ring, but once the other party attempts to connect, the call is dropped/disconnected.  It is happening every time.  I've run my software updates and the other parties have run their software updates.  And unless I"m looking in the wrong places, I cannot seem to find this problem in the apple technical support topics or troubleshooting discussions.  Any suggestions?

Apple has released a document which is reported to address the recent FaceTime issue.

  • Using non blocking connect() call for SCTP sockets in Solaris10

    Hi,
I have a problem with non blocking connect call on SCTP socket.
I am using the sctp stack support in Solaris10.
When the connect is successful, I can get the pollout event on the socket.
But there is no event observed when the peer does not exist. In other words, I could not get the pollout event on connection failure. This logic works fine with TCP sockets on both Solaris and Suse10.
I am working with SCTP one-to-one style sockets.
Is there any way to handle this issue?
Do I need to load any patch to resolve this issue?
It will be great if I get a solution in this regard.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Bipin.

There are at least two problems here.
    A. In the receiver you should test for -1 from the read() immediately, rather than continue with the loop and try to write -1 bytes to the file.
    B. In the sender you are ignoring the return value of client.write(), which can be anything from 0 to the buffer length. If you get 0 you should wait for another OP_WRITE to trigger; if you get a 'short write' you need to retry it until you've got nothing left to write from the current buffer, before you read any more data. This is where the data is vanishing.

  • FaceTime connection/call log

Are there any current known connection issues with FaceTime? The past two days, I have experienced continual 'poor connection' calls. I also revived a 'ghost' call yesterday where a friend was calling me, but when I clicked 'accept', found myself talking to an unknown person! I immediately hung up, but there was no call showing in my call log (a bit like a 'crossed call'). Is this a known issue too?

*Correction. The 'ghost' call was when I FT one particular contact, and although the screen shows the name of my contact, it is a completely different person. How is this possible?

    [RPC Fault faultString="Send failed" faultCode="Client.Error.MessageSend" faultDetail="Channel.Connect.Failed error NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Failed: url: 'http://servername/flex2gateway/'"]
It was also happening on Coldfusion 8 and even on one other sever with another application.
(but same logic  Flex -> remote Objects -> CFC -> sql2005).
When we were still running CF8 I added this <add-no-cache-headers>false</add-no-cache-headers> to the service-config.xml file but with no success.
I do not know if it's related to this but I also sometimes have this error message :
[RPC Fault faultString="Channel disconnected" faultCode="Client.Error.DeliveryInDoubt" faultDetail="Channel disconnected before an acknowledgement was received"]
Most if time the application is running fine, but I want to avoid this errors.
For example yesterday I recieved +- 50 times the NetConnection.Call.Failed error and 20 times Channel disconnected error.
Do not hesitate to ask if I need to post CF9 settings summary or something else.
    Thank you for your help.

That's a pity, but thanks for the reply.

  • TS4185 FaceTime on my iPad stopped working, won't connect calls.

FaceTime on my iPad has been working fine for 2 years. Now, when we call or someone calls us, it says connecting…. and nothing happens. WiFi, camera, recent updates are all on and working. Messaging works fine. Just won't connect a call. Any suggestions?

Judging by all the posts on the forum, there seems to be an issue at Apple's end, although they have made no announcement on their status page. Some users have reported that Apple is aware of the issue. Sadly, we have to wait for Apple to provide some sort of update/fix. You can leave feedback for Apple at the link below.

    Please clarify "USB Modem."
Is this a dial-up connection modem?
Is this a wired cable or DSL modem that sits on the desk with a wire running to a USB port on your computer?
Is it a wireless USB adaptor that plugs directly into the USB port?
If a wired cable or DSL modem, a USB connection to a modem seldom plays well with Macs; usually very slow at best. Freestanding modems should have an ethernet port. Use it. Fast and reliable. If your ISP left you a modem with only a USB port, get them to exchange it for one with an ethernet port. Don't take no for an answer.

  • Cross connected calls over MPLS WAN

    Hi,
I have an issue with one of my offices that has me extremely puzzled.
When users call users in other offices, sometimes the calls get cross-connected, where they are suddenly talking to another caller.
Our telephony provider is insisting it is my network, but I have this office router and switches configured the same as our other 5 offices that don't have this issue.
They are now trying to say it is an MPLS issue from our Telco, but I figure I would be seeing issues with data going over that link as well.
Has anyone ever experience this "crosstalk" before?
The routers at the offices are 2811/2851, with 10meg MPLS WAN between, and 3560/3750 PoE switches for the phones.
Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!

The 2851 at our head office is running 12.3(8)T8.
The 2821 at the remote office is running 12.3(8)T8 as well.
We are not using CCM, we are using a Mitel VoIP solution (which I hate and wanted to go with Cisco instead!), which is using Minet (shows as RTP traffic).

  • Keypad doesn't work on connected calls that require keypad entry

I have a problem I see earlier in the discussion forum. But I thought it might make sense to start a new thread. The keypad doesn't work when I'm connected to a number that then requires keypad entry.
For instance, calling my own home voice mail (not the cellphone voice mail), I'm asked to hit * then enter my home phone number. The keypad goes black on me. Sometimes it won't work at all; sometimes the * works, then it goes black on the first number; sometimes I get two or three numbers, then it goes black. But I never get all the way through.
Since my home phone is Verizon, I thought it might be a Verizon/AT&T problem. So I tried it on some other numbers that require keypad entries after I get a connect. Same problem.
I've talked it through with Apple Support. They agreed it was a problem and sent a replacement phone. It arrived this morning. Same problem with the replacement phone. And that's the bare phone; none of my software loaded. I simply moved the Sim card to the new phone and called my home voicemail number.
I've also checked with my daughter who also has an iPhone 3g. Same problem. I have an appointment with my local Apple store this coming Friday. We'll see what happens. But it doesn't look good.
    Anyone have any thoughts?
    John Kendrick

No case. I do have an anti-glare film set but it's certainly not the problem. This connected keypad problem is the only place it occurs. If it were a problem, one would likely see it with more apps. In addition, it occurs with the new iPhone Apple sent me and with my daughter's phone.
Try it on yours. See if it works.
    John

  • Facetime doesn't connect calls to iphone

I have a macbook pro 13" from March and since I bought it, I have been struggling with using Facetime.
    1. Facetime doesn't take incoming calls.
    2. When I try calling someone on an iPhone, including my own one, it doesn't connect.
any wiz could help on it?

    Hi, MFasil.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
This can be difficult to troubleshoot as the issue could be caused by the Wi-Fi network, cellular data network, firewall/port settings, restrictions, ect.  I would start with going through the steps in the article below.  Be sure to reply back with the results if the issue persists.
