IE Progress Bar appears to continue to load

I have a Flash site where the IE progress bar at the bottom
of the browser contiues to move on (very slowy and it never
finishes). I am assuming this is something with IE because FireFox
does not do this.
PLEASE HELP!
Thaks,
Russ

Both descriptions of start up and boot down are normal and to be expected. There is nothing to worry about. FYI, if you want there is a hack to turn your start up screen black on white, but I leave that up to you to find and try, if you so wish.

  • Show Progress Bar while only on Page Load.

    Hi Experts,
    I want to show progress bar every time when page loads.
    Progress bar is coming on the page. but it is not going off after page is loaded.
    Below is the code which i added for the Progress bar.
    //written on Header Text of Page
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    function html_Submit_Progress(pThis){
    $x_Show('AjaxLoading');
    window.setTimeout('$s("AjaxLoading",$x("AjaxLoading").innerHTML)', 100);
    //-->
    </script>
    //written on footer text of Page
    <style> #AjaxLoading{padding:5px;font-size:18px;width:200px;text-align:center;left:20%;top:20%;position:absolute;border:0px solid #666;}
    </style>
    <div id="AjaxLoading" style="display:none;"><br /><img src="#APP_IMAGES#progress_bar.gif" id="wait" /></div>
    //called the function Execute on Page Loads

    Hide the loader element when the page has loaded. Put this in the javascript section
    $(document).ready(function(){ $x_Hide('AjaxLoading'); });Or put it in the page load section
    $x_Hide('AjaxLoading');Or create a dynamic action which fires on page load, select a hide action, and use a jQuery selector to target '#AjaxLoading' as an affected element.

  • Progress bar appearing at startup

    Every time I startup my MacBook pro a grey progress bar appears and sometimes after that when it loads up my desktop folders don't appear and I can't access finder.

    This may help: Mac OS X v10.6: Gray progress bar appears under Apple logo during startup

  • Lion 10.7 gray progress bar appears under Apple logo on startup.  Slow to boot to login prompt or Finder

    iMac Troubleshooting topics section shows this topic for SnowLeopard10.6 and suggests that there may be a hard disk problem.  Recommendation was to startup iMac from the 10.6 install disk and use Disk Utility to attempt to repair the hard disk.  Lion 10.7.2 was downloaded so there is no disk to attempt this repair with.  Any suggestions or experience with the gray cloth screen in Lion and a progress bar under the Apple logo on boot up?  It seems to take a lot longer to boot up now to get a login prompt or desktop than when it was fresh out of the box in July 2011 with Snow Leopard 10.6  Thanks for your help!

    I have apps that want to get updated but when i try to update them, the progress bar appears but also dissapeares again, the app isnt updated..
    I keep trying but i cant update the apps..

    First reboot the iPad by pressing and holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons (power) at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
    If that doesn't work then reset the phone by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings

  • Mac OS Mountain Lion Shuts down at Apple logo with a progress bar appearing under it.

    Last Night there were two updates available which i downloaded and after that it asked for a restart, when i restarted the Mac, it gave me a progress bar for the updates at the middle of which it said, Installation of Updates can not be Completed and My mac book froze. After that i Shutdown my Macbook Pro by holding the Shutdown button for a little while.
    When i restarted the Macbook Pro, it gave remained at apple logo for a while then a progress bar appeared after which it shut down itself and it is doing the same since then.
    I have got windows over Boot Camp in my Macbook Pro and i can boot into Windows which is running fine and i can access all the data on my Main Partition through Windows as well but i am unable to boot into Mac os Mountain Lion.
    I have tried Repairing the Partition by going into Recovey and it Fails, I have tried Resetting the PRAM and that hasn't worked either, i have tried re-installing the Mac os Mountain Lion from Recovery but that says that all my Partitions are Locked.
    I haven't got any backup of my data through Time Machine so i was thinking as i can boot into Windows and access the data and as all this is because of the Installation of Updates Failure so there should be some way to manually edit the Boot Files to trick the Mac book into thinking that there weren't any updates or to simply clear the data from Updates.
    Can anyone please help me if you have any better suggestions.

    If it's still under warranty or with AppleCare (even if it isn't, really) take it in to an Apple store.  If you can get at your personal files from Windows, copy them to an external drive first.  That includes anything you have in Windows that you need to keep.  Sounds like the drive is going south and if it has to be replaced, you'll lose everything if you don't have it backed up.

  • Firmware update progress bar appears and computer won't start up

    Hi,
    I am on OS X 10.6 (the latest developer build, whose build number I can't remember and can't look up because my computer won't start up) and this morning when I tried to start up my computer, it chimed, the apple appeared but then a grey progress bar (like the one that appears during a firmware update) appeared at the bottom of the screen along with the customary spinner. This progress bar didn't update and after 10-ish seconds, it disappeared and left just the spinner. I left the computer in this state for 4 hours and nothing happened. It still starts up in single user mode (but I can't seem to get Open Firmware mode to load) and it starts Windows XP on another partition of my main HD.
    When I start it in verbose mode, it says that my catalog B-tree has keys out of order and it is unable to repair them. Also, I get an error message from launchctl: "Bug: launchctl.c:2033 (23930):17: auditquickstart() == 0". Then later on it tells me to convert a few system plist files to launchd (all in the /etc/mach_init.d/ folder). The very last line says "launch_msg(): Socket is not connected".
    I would rather not re-install the system, but if I have to, I guess I will. I appreciate any light that anyone can shed on this problem.
    Thanks,
    Kyle

    Yes, they (the third-party utilities) both come on bootable DVD's. As I mentioned, since Snow Leopard was just released in its final version, the developers may be in the process of releasing updates.
    Your situation is likely to be a case where the data corruption issue already existed before installing Snow Leopard, and the installation process made the problem more apparent (because something critical was installed where it was affected by the data issue).
    It is a good idea to run +Repair Disk+ in Disk Utility on the startup volume before installing a major system update. Actually, I do it before any system-level update.
    You should also have a backup (at least of your personal data if not the entire volume), in case something bad happens during a major system upgrade. If you were using Time Machine, the easiest recovery would be to reformat the internal drive and use the Time Machine complete volume restore utility to restore the volume back to the date/time state just before you installed Snow Leopard. Then, after restarting from that restored volume to make sure everything is working, start up from the Snow Leopard installation disc, run Disk Utility and use +Repair Disk+ (just to be sure), and run the upgrade to Snow Leopard again.
    If you have a backup of at least your personal data, you may want to reformat the internal drive, install Snow Leopard and bundled apps, install your third-party apps from their original sources, update everything that needs updating, and restore your personal data.
    If you don't have a backup, the best bet is to try either DiskWarrior or TechTool Pro. DiskWarrior is very specialized into repairing this type of data problem. TechTool Pro has similar capability, but it is a more general tool with other features.

  • When searching in Acrobat the progress bar appears to not reach end of document

    I have a user running Adobe Acrobat 11 with the latest updates.
    When she tries to search for a word like "Pending" in the current document the progress bar will come up showing which page it is currently on for the search.
    If it's not found, or sometimes even when it is found the progress bar will stop updating and show 78/88 or 87/89 so it appears that it doesn't finish the search.
    I have tested it and the search is finishing and going through the whole document, it appears to just be an update/display issue for the progress bar.
    The user is concerned she might miss something she needs to find in these accounting/financial documents which could be detrimental.
    Any suggestions on how to fix this, or is this a known bug?

  • Stopping a Progress Bar when a page has loaded.

    I currently have an application that uses a linkbar with a viewstack.  If I click on a particular link, a component mxml page with an advanced datagrid is loaded.  However, the datagrid can take up to 10 seconds to load.   So, I need to implement a progress bar that will run until the page is completely loaded/ painted.   What phase and or event should I use to capture this.

    I added your Preloader AS class and called the preloader from my application class and recieved an error can the preloader only be used in the Application class.

  • Progress bar/Icon before the page loads

    Hi,
    I am having a page which takes 1-2 mins to load and render the data now i want to display animated icon/progress-bar immediately the page pops up(ie. when blank). Ive already done progress bar on the page load but in this case i want it to display much early when the page is still blank, any idea please. If this is not doable in Apex i might borrow JS/JQuery......thanks all.

    All,
    I got this issue to work in a better way using Skillbuilder's pop-up plugins but again I am having issue with that too as described below,
    The first time the popup page comes up the background is totally black, how can i change this to make it meaningful color?

  • Is progress bar on startup normal?

    During startup after a complete shutdown, a progress bar appears while files are loading.  Is this normal for Lion?  Did not see it in Leopard.  Curious because two things happen during startup: automatic login does not work (minor issue) and monitor resolution defaults to highest resolution rather than resolution set in Preferences.

    It's a bug of Lion. The same is happening to me. After turning off the computer, the gray bar appears and the login screen. Then i don´t have wifi or bootcamp partition. I have to reboot. I hope Apple fix it soon.

  • Browser progress bar still in processing  mode after loading the page

    Hi all,
    In my project ,I am facing one problem.
    After completion of loading page the IE browser progress bar is still showing that loading is not yet done. That means progress bar is in still processing mode.
    Can any one please tell me what is the reason behind it.
    Sujan

    Are you creating the pages dynamically with JavaScript? If you do a document.open() and then do document.write()s but forget to do a document.close(), the loading animation will continue to display.

  • Is it normal for progress bar to appear at every start up ?

    after upgrading to Yosemite, every time i start my Mac a progress bar appears and it seems to take longer to get to the home screen - is this normal ?

    I agree, it seems just another change for the sake of change from Apple.
