If I buy my iPad in the UK, will I be able to get a mini SIM to use it in the US too?

I want to buy a new iPad 4G, but am afraid that if I buy it here and eventually move back to the States, the 4G won't work. Or can I get a mini SIM and sign up for a service there? Thanks!

Thanks for the help. Now I can feel comfortable in not having to sign up for cellular when I buy, esp. Since I'll be using my new IPad mostly at home on my Cox wi fi. Then I can see, in using the i pad, how often I'd actually use the cellular, and where. This can help decide which type of cell plan I get. Small problem it may seem, but a very helpful answer. It will work in the UK, though you will need a plug adapter for the charger (you don't need a convertor for the charger).
If you get a 3G version then get the AT&T version as they use micro-sim cards, so you can swap in a UK micro-sim card. The Verizon iPad is CDMA based and doesn't use micro-sim cards, so from a built-in 3G point of view isn't much use in the UK (I'm not aware of any CDMA carriers in Europe).

I'm in a city with an open 24 hours a day Apple store, but they are not selling the mini or the ipad 4 until 8:00 am.
Best Buy near us is opening early at 8:00 am instead of at 10:00 am to accommodate. Other stores? Not a clue.
So maybe you can get there early in the am.
I suggest you call whatever store you plan on going to on Nov. 2nd, and ask an employee or manager.

Nope, you can install it on your new computer with no issues. The disc contains both the 32 and 64 bit versions.

This problem has been reported a few times. The solution is to install any new App say a free one. This seems to fix whatever has gone wrong.

You don't need to buy an earlier version of iDVD to have it run with Lion. iDVD 7 has been with us since iLife 08. Tell us in detail what you're experiencing.

And edit your mouse settings to do what you want it to do.

Third, from my understanding, it would appear you are concerned about the noise the hard drive makes when it falls asleep? Why not put your machine in screen saver mode instead? Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Energy Saver turn off all Energy Saver settings, or set them to run Never.
Fourth, if your machine was purchased just a few days ago, you may still be able to get an exchange from the store, quicker than you can get a repair done. You may want to look into that possibility.
Fifth, it does appear you found the Logic forum. I would persist in asking there how to solve your technical issue with Logic regarding the audio. It may be you don't have to do anything special to the hard drive. Remember audio can be transmitted by wire, avoiding ambient sounds.
