If I restore my bankbook will I loose all my photos on iCloud?
I have a macbook. I just want to clean it out start from scratch but I dont want to lose my pitcure on it. If I store them to icloud and restore my computer will I lose the pictures as well?
Backup your original photos (and any other data on your MacBook you don't want to lose) to an external hard drive or USB stick before you wipe it. Then you will not lose anything.
iCloud does not backup Macs, only iOS devices.

No, you will not. First what you do is back up the iPad before you sync (right click on iPad and then click back up). Then restore the iPad you will be given the option to reload from the last back up.

What is your MacOS X version and your current version of iPhoto?
if you just updated to a newer MacOS X version, for example MacOS X 10.9.x, your version of the iPhoto.app may be no longer compatible and you need to update or upgrade iPhoto to a newer version. Check at the App Store if there is an update for iPhoto. If not, post back with the versions you are having installed. You may need to buy an upgrade.

The photos in your iPhoto library are save, even if you have to upgrade to a newer version, but it is always wise to make a backup before updating or upgrading, just in case. -

There is no such thing as a "hard reset".
Pictures taken with the device are designed to be regularly copied from the device to a computer as you would with any digital camera. Use the device as designed. -

i recently plugged my iphone4 into my laptop to sync, when i plugged it in, itunes told me that i needed to update my software, so i clicked up date and walked awayfrom my computer leaving it to do the rest, but by the time i came back to my laptop 2-3 hours later i had realized that it has run out of charge and because of it my phone had gone into retoration mode- and the only way to fix it was to press restore. what do i do? do i click restore or will that take my phone back to factory settings as i have a tonne of photos and videos etc that i have not backed up yet?

Did iTunes not create a new backup when you first connected it?
You really should be syncing your device and copying pictures off of it on a regular basis.
Starting an upgrade without first syncing and copying the pictures off is not a bright idea.
At this point, you only option is to restore.
Also, in the future, ensure your laptop is plugged into external power before starting upgrades. -
I just hooked up to my computer to down load new songs it said new version of software is avalable, after down load I pod went into restor mode. Is there any way to get it to work beside the restore? and will I loose all my photos and vidios?

What exactly does the message you're getting say? Where are you seeing it?
If the phone is in recovery mode, everything on the phone is already gone.
Your music should already be in the iTunes library on your computer. -

By the "restore iTunes symbol" do you mean a USB cable and the iTunes symbol? If so the device is in Recovery Mode and the device has already been erased and it needs to be Restored using iTunes. When you remove iTunes, you are just removing the software; the media files still remain in place. Just follow the steps in the article below to remove iTunes from your computer if you are on Windows. If you are a Mac, just download the install file and it will reinstall the software for you.

If you restore from backup then the iPod will be like it is provided that all synced media like apps and music are in the iTunes library of the computer on which you do the restore. The backup that iTunes makes does not inlcude synced media like aps and music. For how to restore see:
