If less than...then Delete
I'm sure this is going to be a no brainer question, but unfortuately I don't have much time to teach myself VBS.
I have a group with several channels that when the value in one channel is less than a certain value, I want that row and all the same rows in the other channels deleted. I'm trying to use DataBlDel in conjunction with a For Each...Next Statement, but I honestly know very little about how to program in VBS and I've been beating myself with something that is probably very easy.

Good to hear from you. I would recommend using the Calculator programmatically to set the values from the control channel in those unwanted rows to NoValues. Then you can use the ChnNoVHandle() function to remove all the rows from all the channels in that Group where the control channel has a NoValue. You may actually find you'd rather set the rest of those rows to NoValues instead of deleting them, if what you really want to do is plot curves of event data

Pixlemator had less than a minute to finish downloading, then stopped. I go to the purchase page and it says install. When I click on install it says there was an error and tells me to go to purchase page.
Try deleting the cache associated with the App Store.
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store and try re downloading the app.
If that didn't help, open Sysem Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Select: Mac App Store and identified developers
If that area is greyed out, click the padlock icon to make changes. You may be prompted for your admin password.
Then try downloading the app. -
Pix deleted with less than 24hrs notice
I've really always repped verizon and the motorola driods, i love my X2 as old as it is.. always tell my friends get verizon if you want a good service.
however this will no longer be the case, personally i highly discourage anyone from getting Verizon service until Verizon addresses thier customer service policies and does something different about thier pix storage.
I was given less than 24hrs notice before i recieved a cascade of msgs telling me to log into pixplace, my content was deleted.
Obviously this is an issue, "hindsight" is ALWAYS 20/20.. but fact is, the only pics i had of my son are gone, unrecoverable.
I'm not the only person this has happened to, there are many stories of the same. There are enough of them that something like this should have been resolved instead of dismissed.
Verizons customer service has really gone down the tubes, maybe thats legal's fault. Coming here to state my story and feelings has lead me to see threads that have changed my perception of verizon entirely, this saddens me as i always loved my VZ service and internet.
However, when I read stories like these soldiers being stationed elsewhere or even if people simply move, It shouldnt be such a big deal to end a contract that is in good standing. Verizon used to very much take care of its subscribers, thus, it developed a loyal customer base. However, these types of "weaselry" are going to destroy that same customer base.
It's not possible to establish trust, faith and pride in a service by claiming to be dependable and friendly, If the company chooses to hide behind ToS, and EULA's while smiling and speaking in a cheerful tone. We deserve the reputation and service that was commercially advertised without the legal fineprint.becuse this was supposed to be safer than keeping them on my phone incase something happened to my phone, as i said before brian.. hindsight is always 20/20.. what I am addressing is the fact that they know this system is flawed but continue to use it as an inhouse default solution but can offer no inhouse support... what happened to me was cuz thier automated server vomited out its sms incorrectly, it happens... so i assume when they deleted my pix the msgs all delivered at once. resulting in my loss of data.
when a tele-comunications service offers you a service, they should be very good at tele-communications. if they store data they should have some form of archiving said data, alternate solution would have been to simply email my pics to me. the vast majority of us that have verizon service also have a default verizon email that came with the service, they could have placed the archive in it.
point being, theres a better way, and enough of thier customers have had problems with this that they should have already resolved this.. rather than dismissing it... which is what you are doing now.
make no mistakes, I'm not saying that i shouldnt have had 20 more back-ups, a dna sample, 2 hardcopies in seperate locations etc etc etc. if you read my post instead of trolling it though, you would notice it was about bad service, not just my own experience.... myself and many others have come to this crossroads with verizon, verizon doesnt fix thier end of things though. its not an isolated incident.
IF disatisfied with a service becuse of substandard service or false or misleading advertisement then a person should be able to terminate said contract just as easily as verizon would refuse you service for not paying.

when I open a music file from a source other than apple, does itunes create it's own file and can I then delete the original mp3?
If you use iTunes' default settings then when you add a file to iTunes it places a copy of the file in the iTunes media folder and it leaves the original in place. The exception is when you drag it to the Automatically Add To iTunes folder.
It does not convert the file. You can delete the original if you wish. -
trying to make an ibook and have 800 photos, want format of 8 photos/page, but default is not that- "create" the initial book from iphoto "album" it loads less than 800 pics and then when i change layout i have blanks.
if i clear the book so that it is all blanks and then try to load in the pictures i have it loses the chronology of the pictures that i had established in the album.
is there a way to import photos into an ibook template and keep the original order of the photos without having to do them one at a time?
also, is there a way to insert a photo rather than just dragging it? i have tried the cut and paste funciton but it doesn't seem to work, the target site doesn't seem to register with iphoto.
many thanks for your help.Photos are added to book in chronological order. So if you want to add them to a book in the order you have placed them manually in an album do the following:
1 - select all the photos in the album.
2 - use the Photos ➙ Batch Change ➙ Date menu option as shown here. Select any date and add 1 minute between photos.
3 - select just one photo from the album and create a book from it.
4 - in the book click on the Options button ➙ Book Settings button and make sure the checkbox for Auto-layout pages is unchecked.
5 - drag the album with your book photos onto the book icon and they will be imported into the Photos tray of the book in your pre-determined order but not into the pages themselves.

Holy crap, I got it to work.
Essentially, I just waited until DiskWarrior reached Step 9 and told it to skip the step before it had a chance to freeze. It skipped successfully, moved on, rebuilt and replaced the faulty directory files.
So far the computer is booting like normal, I can log in, and I'm currently copying all of the data to an external as I type this.
I still have no idea why the computer wouldn't mount or boot to any drive, but I guess I'll deal with that later. -
Issue: I synced my iphone with itunes, I then deleted many songs from the iphone, when I sync to itunes again is there any way to have itunes duplicate what it sees on the iphone rather than the other way around?
so, if I delete all music on itunes then connect my iphone all my music on the iphone will then be deleted?

After prompted to update 10.9.1, my MacBook Pro updates and went thru restart but failed...I tried to start my book and gray screen, Apple logo both on, chime sounded, then went to progress bar, less than half macbook shuts down...did few times, same!!

Warning screen pops up for less than a second then disappears
After I upgraded to Mountain Lion, occasionally a warning screen with the yellow '!' pops up for less than a second then goes away. What does trhis mean, does anyone else have this problem?
Never seen it - never heard of it. Does it popup while you're using any particular application? Is it like a dialog box? It could be some third-party application trying to warn you... about something.

My macbook pro 13" is less than a year old and I have no problem with speed and video until lately. Everytime I watch video it keeps on pausing for 40 to 50 secs. then play then repeats again. I tried to play the same video on my ipad and I have no problem. Can somebody have an answer to my problem?
If it is less than a year old it is still under warranty, get it serviced.

1. Actually I would like measure the time of "Alignment" function done by wafer test equipment name Prober ( the model is "UF3000" made by TOKYO SEIMITSU CO., LTD.
2.. Right now the "Alignment" function is started when a GPIB command is written as "N" and wait for resposne 70 in polling.

IiPad retina storage is disappearing after update to ios8.02. I had over 6.4 gig before the update. I now have less than 710 mb. There is no music or videos on the iPad. I have deleted almost all apps and most photos. Every time I use it, the storage is going down. I have tried resetting by powering off and this has no effect.

After the OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 update When I go to use Preview to view a photo it shows up for less than a second then disappears and just leaves a gray box where the photo should be. iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014). I need Preview for work.
1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
The test works on OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later. I don't recommend running it on older versions of OS X. It will do no harm, but it won't do much good either.
Don't be put off by the complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. As I wrote above, it changes nothing. It doesn't send or receive any data on the network. All it does is to generate a human-readable report on the state of the computer. That report goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. If you prefer, you can act on it yourself without disclosing the contents to me or anyone else.
You should be wondering whether you can believe me, and whether it's safe to run a program at the behest of a stranger. In general, no, it's not safe and I don't encourage it.
In this case, however, there are a couple of ways for you to decide whether the program is safe without having to trust me. First, you can read it. Unlike an application that you download and click to run, it's transparent, so anyone with the necessary skill can verify what it does.
You may not be able to understand the script yourself. But variations of it have been posted on this website thousands of times over a period of years. The site is hosted by Apple, which does not allow it to be used to distribute harmful software. Any one of the millions of registered users could have read the script and raised the alarm if it was harmful. Then I would not be here now and you would not be reading this message. See, for example, this discussion.
Nevertheless, if you can't satisfy yourself that these instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
4. Here's a general summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a particular line of text to the Clipboard.
☞ Paste into the window of another application.
☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
These are not specific instructions; just an overview. The details are in parts 7 and 8 of this comment. The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time.
5. Try to test under conditions that reproduce the problem, as far as possible. For example, if the computer is sometimes, but not always, slow, run the test during a slowdown.
You may have started up in "safe" mode. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
6. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
7. Load this linked web page (on the website "Pastebin.") The title of the page is "Diagnostic Test." Below the title is a text box headed by three small icons. The one on the right represents a clipboard. Click that icon to select the text, then copy it to the Clipboard on your computer by pressing the key combination command-C.
If the text doesn't highlight when you click the icon, select it by triple-clicking anywhere inside the box. Don't select the whole page, just the text in the box.
8. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window to activate it. Paste from the Clipboard into the window by pressing command-V, then press return. The text you pasted should vanish immediately.
9. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "Syntax error" or "Event not found," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
10. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
11. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, a series of lines will appear in the Terminal window like this:

The test results are on the Clipboard.
Please close this window.

The intervals between parts won't be exactly equal, but they give a rough indication of progress. The total number of parts may be different from what's shown here.
Wait for the final message "Process completed" to appear. If you don't see it within about ten minutes, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, press the key combination control-C or command-period to stop it and go to the next step. You'll have incomplete results, but still something.
12. When the test is complete, or if you stopped it because it was taking too long, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
13. When you post the results, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "You are not authorized to post." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.
14. This is a public forum, and others may give you advice based on the results of the test. They speak for themselves, not for me. The test itself is harmless, but whatever else you're told to do may not be. For others who choose to run it, I don't recommend that you post the test results on this website unless I asked you to.

My 27" iMAC is less than 3 month old. Many times regardless of what application I am in the screen will start shifting back and forth left to right. Then I can't do anything until the screen stabilizes. This takes anywhere from 5 to 25 secs. Any ideas?
