Illustrator CC how to setup custom document profile

How do I set up a custom document profile in Illustrator CC and save it for future use?
I do not see any way to save it.

I think you have to create a new document, set all your preferred options, leave it empty, and save it as a template file, ready to reuse .
Otherwise you can:
Create a new document, set all your preferred options, leave it empty, and save it in the same folder of the adobe preset.
To find the correct path select the preset profile menu, in the new document window, and choose browse.
I hope this help"

    NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder. You'll need to do it again after each system update that's applied.

  • HOW DO YOU SET DOCUMENT PROFILE UNDER COLOR MANAGEMENT IN CS4?

    When I try to print in CS4
    (File>Print>Color Management
    >Document(it displays sRGB IEC61966
    -2.1)
    I need to change this to Adobe RGB1998 and I cannot find out how to do this!
    If I go to >EDIT>COLOR SETTINGS the Working Space shows Adobe RGB 1998. Is this what the above "Document" setting should be?
    Please help!
    Dan

    I told you how to set a document profile.
    You set your working preference.  That may have combined with the policies you have set and the processes you follow to get your document into the Adobe RGB color space.
    In any case, I'm glad you have things the way you like them.

  • How to manage custom document properties (e.g., company name, project name)

    Hi,
    How to manage custom document properties (e.g., company name, project name, event date...) in Apple iWork Pages like it is possible in Microsoft Office Word ?
    The idea is to simplify the management of multiple instances of same piece of information in a document by writing them once as a "properties" of the document that can be referencing in different places of the document. Changing the property value, will automatically change all its instances.
    Thanks in advance for your help

    Thanks for your help Peter.
    Search-Replace and Auto-Substitution are not requivalent for me since I'm looking for something more complex.
    Suppose you have a document about an Event which occur on a specific date (e.g., 11-09-2003).
    In your document, you may be interested in...
    - sometimes display the date as '11-09-2003',
    - sometimes display the date as 'Novembre, 2003',
    - sometimes display the date as 'Sunday, November 9, 2003'.
    With a document property, you would be able to define the EventDate as 11-09-2003, and then define different specific format (e.g., 'mm-dd-yyyy', 'mmmm, yyyy'...) for each reference to the EventDate document property.
    Using Search-Replace of Auto-Substitution, it will be painful since you will have to define as one token per format of a document property (e.g., EventDateAsMMDDYYY, EventDateAsMMMMYYYY...).
    More than that, suppose you have a Numbers table inserted in your Pages document.
    You may be interested in using some document properties in formulas.
    This can't be solved using Search-Replace.
    But its ok, I will wait until this feature will be supported in Pages.

  • How to print custom documents through custom program

    Hi,
    I am printing custom documents like Commercial Invoice, Shipper's Letter of Instructions,  Shipper's Export Declaration , using communication tab of custom declarations. SInce user wanted output with a changed layout( different from standard), so new Activity messages ( like ZP100 in place of standard P100) are created to call Z forms ( new PDF from created using SFP and called for this Message type). This part is done our fucntional team. This customize message type is calling my custom Z forms. But all these Z forms are not allowing printing of the document from Preview of PDF. Print Icon become disabled in the preview. Used wants to print from preview of PDF itself.
    There is a parameter in BADI  DOC_PERSONALIZE_BCS method parameter 'NOPRINT', which is passed with value 'X' in the function module to create PDF. SInce this is set to 'X' it is not letting us print from preview.
    So, can anyone help me in finding what can I do to get this print enabled from preview. If I need to change this method, then what are the steps and how standard configurations will be changed to call Zprogram in place of standard.

    Hi Swati,
    The Badi you mentioned should help you, try changing the importing parameter in your local structure and pass this local variable, instead of the imported (IS_outputparams-noprint = 'X' ) to the function below. This is an example, you`ll need to declare data as well :
    Method IF_EX_DOC_PERSONALIZE_BCS~PERSONALIZE_PDF_DOC_PDFIF
    ls_output_options = is_outputparams.
      IF NOT ls_output_options-preview IS INITIAL.
        ls_output_options-noprint = ' ' .    " Allow printing
       ENDIF.
    call function '/SAPSLL/PRN_FORM_PROCESS_PDF'
        exporting
          iv_guid_cuhd       = lv_guid_cuhd
          iv_function_name   = ip_function_name
          iv_form_name       = ip_form_name
          iv_appl_log_handle = ip_application_log
          is_output_options  = ls_outputparams " put your LOCAL structure here ....
        importing
          es_formoutput      = es_formoutput
          es_joboutput       = es_joboutput
        changing
          cs_docparams       = cs_docparams
        exceptions
          output_canceled    = 1
          others             = 2.
    Hope this helps,

  • How to uploading custom document instance with content

    What's the best (easiest) way to upload the content and attributes of an instance of a custom document from a JSP? For example a subclass of Document with extra attributes? The bit I am finding tricky is how to deal with the content part. There are some nice examples of custom docs without content in the iFS documentation, and an example of uploading content for a standard document, using the putDocument method of IfsFileSystem, but neither of these are quite what I want.
    Any suggestions or references to gratefully received.
    Bill Roberts

    Joyce - thanks for your advice and time. I have got that to work - what I didn't realise was that you have to upload the content first, then refer to it in the XML upload for the custom document. I haven't seen anything that explains what you just told me in the documentation and it seems quite a fundamental thing. Is there something I've missed? Perhaps you could pass on a comment to the iFS documentation guys at Oracle.
    A supplementary question: to create custom doc instances via Java, I understand that I need to create a document definition first. Which method do I use to set content in that case (given that the content file will originate on a client machine, not on the server)?
    Thanks very much
    Bill

  • How to create custom color profile in OSX?

    I started thinking about this after downloading the program "f.lux", which changes the color temperature of your screen depending on the time of day. It seems the program accomplishes this by adjusting your display calibration. Some controls for this already exist (you can tinker with them in preferences>display>color) but they can't be calibrated beyond minor changes to gamma and color tempterature. In f.lux they have a "darkroom mode", which is this amazing red-on-black high-contrast effect perfectly suited for use in a darkroom. I feel like a high-contrast monochrome display could come in handy, but I want more control over the brightness and color than what this app offers. I don't see anything like that in the usual preferences, but I do see a host of various color profiles (apple rgb, adobe rgb, PAL, Pantone, and whatever else...). How do I create a completely custom profile, or edit one that exists? Where are these files stored on my computer? Are there workarounds, or any third-party apps for changing my display settings?
    All help is greatly appreciated.

  • How to setup new document for Desktop Wallpaper

    hi all
    new to the forums here...
    i'm making a desktop wallpaper to display an announcement for my graphic design department at school, and i'm wanting to know the best way to set up the new document in PS CS4. i'm using the resolutions found under syst prefs > display prefs, just plugging those numbers into the new document setup for width and height. my question is what resolution i should use for a clean and sharp wallpaper, and should i just accept the default settings for color mode, color profile, and pixel aspect ratio.
    FYI: right now i'm working on an  20" Intel iMac. models at school include 17" iMac G5's or early Intel iMacs, 20" and 24" aluminum Intel iMacs.
    thanks in advance,
    daniel

    "my question is what resolution i should use for a clean and sharp wallpaper, and should i just accept the default settings for color mode, color profile, and pixel aspect ratio."
    The resolution is irrelevant - pixel dimensions are all that matter. For instance, if the target desktop dimensions are 1920x1200 pixels, it doesn't matter if the resolution is 72 ppi or 300 ppi. Color mode should be RGB, profile should be sRGB and use square pixels.

  • How to setup a document for tabloid and letter printing?

    Hello,
    I need to make a brochure. It is 4 pages. We need it for two different end products:
    1) Printed onto double-sided 11 x 17 tabloid in a landscape orientation. It will then be folded in the middle (so a 4 page brochure).
    2) A 4-page 8.5 x 11 PDF, for clients to print out themselves.
    I originally had a 2 page tabloid document (no facing pages). It worked great when I sent it to our printers, but I couldn't PDF it properly to 8.5 x 11. What I ended up doing was making a brand new 8.5 x 11 document, then laying out each individual letter-sized page.
    When changes are required, I have to make changes to both documents, which is annoying and open to error/mistakes from me (e.g. change in one document not in the other).
    Is there any way I can have a single document setup so that I only need to change output/export/print settings when making my two different end products?
    My skill level in InDesign is beginner, so alot of terminology is beyond me.

    Did you know that you can place an InDesign document into another InDesign document?
    Start with your letter-size version, and make sure it's up-to-date. Save it, close it, then start a new empty tabloid document. Go to File -> Place and place the four pages of your letter-size document into your tabloid document.
    When you need to update both docs, then make the text changes in the lettersize doc. Save and close, then open up the tabloid doc and update the links. In fact, unless you've changed the way your install of ID is set up, then the moment you open the tabloid doc, it should ask you if you want to update your out-of-date links.

  • How to setup a document for self expiration\Limited usage after a while?

    Is it possible to setup a .PDF file to make it unwatchable after a certain number of invocations and / or date? Is there also a solution to the problem of the reader first doing duplicates of the file? Once the document reached its limit, it is desired that rewinding the clock, etc. would not revive the usability of the document. I intend the document to contain a picture, hopefully this doesn't make a difference.
    If achievable, what minimum level of Acrobat version is required to generate and what minimum version of Acrobat Reader is required to open the file?
    If Acrobat/.PDF technology wont do it, are there any other means to accomplish the task?
    Thanks,
    David

  • How to setup Custom method to return id

    Using the OE Schema and Customers table for simplicity. I want a method such as:
    public String getCustomerIdFromCustEmail(String email);
    I want to call this from an Action class in a JDev 10.1.2 ADF BC Struts JSP application. A call such as:
    String idValue = getCustomerIdFromCustEmail("[email protected]");
    (returning a string is not necessary. This could be a long or int value.)
    Questions:
    Where does this method belong? Entity, view or app module?
    What is the best way to code this? In a non J2EE app I would just create a connection object, run a query and return the result. So what is the BEST way in a JDEV J2EE application to perform the same thing?
    If I use a whereclause, I don't want to change the current status of the customers view object, I may be using it, I may not. So how do I keep the data non-messed up.
    Thanks!

    Here is the stack trace (it's BIG). If possible, could someone point out how to go through one of these. What am I looking for. I want to be able to solve these problems myself!

  • How to intergrate customer short profile into employee profile page MSS WDA

    Hi
    I have created a z version of SAP_MSS_General_profile and amended some the fieids contained within.
    I can't see where this is referred to in the employee profile application in order to get it to refer to the non-standard version.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks

    Hi Liz
    Yes I did eventually!
    I had delve right down into the component configuration for the employee profile.  We have "z" versions of everything so via SE80 I went to the configuration of the application configuration zhrmss_emp_over_profile (of the web dynpro applications hrmss_emp_over_profile).  From within this configuration I wnet into the change mode of the component configuration zhrmss_emp_overview_profile_oif.
    On this configuration screen there is another button which says change from which there is a sub-menu - one of the items of which is "global settings".  On the global settings screen there is an option to change the short profile from the default setting of "HRMSS_SHORT_PROFILE_CONF"
    I have also found it useful when trying to change other parameters to drill down in the PCD into our role right down to the iview properties in which parameters are often passed such as ROLE and INSTANCE etc and allocate "z" values there.
    I hope this helps!

  • How Do I Display Custom Document Properties On the Info - Properties Page

    Hi,
    I want to create a template using Microsoft Word 2010 that has fields similar to the Standard Document Property "Title" that can be used as a fillable form that repeats data throughout the document.  I need a custom document property field
    that you can fill out on the title page and will simultaneously change the same field that is in the header, footer, and file -> info -> properties page.
    For example, I want to create a document property field called "Product ID #" that shows the title of the property on the file -> info -> properties page as "Product ID #" and the content to show up as the information
    a user entered into the field on the first page.
    Right now I have a standard document property that I am using as a field on the front page for the Title which has user defined content on the front page.  This field has default content I set up to be "Product Specification Template".
    I inserted this field by using quick parts.  I want to be able to create a field that behaves like this called "Product ID #".  I understand you can create custom form fields that repeat using legacy fields, but I need a way for them
    to show changes instantly after you click away from the field, without having to "update field" where necessary.
    Anyone have any idea how to create custom document properties like this? Or even how to rename standard properties such as "Status" or "Subject"?
    Thanks

    What you're asking can't all be done without a macro. You can easily enough get body content to show in the header & footer via the judicious use of Styles and STYLEREF fields (and the changes are dynamic), but getting that info into the custom
    document property would require a macro. To that end, you might use a content control with a unique Style applied to it for the data input and a ContentControlOnExit macro to update the custom document property.
    Cheers
