Image of Bugzilla System Architecture

I am looking for a high-level image/diagram that provides the Bugzilla System Architecture/Flow --Can that be provided?

Hello,
Currently such a document is not available. That said, you can use the Ravebrook tool to check the DB documentation [1] or check the API documentation to get an idea of what the components are [2]. Not the best solution, but something that is workable I guess.
is there a specific need for this? Would suggest that you mail the bugzilla mailing list as they may be more helpful[3]

#[http://www.bugzilla.org/docs/4.4/en/html/api/ Bugzilla API docs]

Hope that helps

    Hi Friends,
    Environment:SUN Solris 10
    Cluster Version:10.2.0.3
    database Version:10.2.0.3.0
Due to H/W failure one of our RAC node(prod1) got formatted.
We have deleted the node(prod1) from RAC successfully.
But When i am again trying to add the node and checking prerequistes i am facing the below issue.
    $ cd /software/oracle/product/crs/bin
    $ ./cluvfy stage -pre crsinst -n prod1,prod2
    Check: System architecture
      Node Name     Available                 Required                  Comment

      prod1        64-bit                    64-bit                    passed
Result: System architecture check failed. But issue is that prod2 is my active(running node), so how to resolve this issue?
    please suggest..

  • Windows 7 Backup - System image includes non system disk

    Hi,
I am trying out windows 7 backup, hoping at last that I won't need a 3rd party backup solution.  So far so bad!
My first problem is how ridicilously slow the backup is, but this has been discussed at length elsewhere.  My second problem is the backup stalls when I try to backup a folder which I know has got various bits of malware in.  I am an IT pro and use the files in this folder for testing purposes.  OK fair enough I guess, although I think the backup should handle this event a bit more elegantly.  So I've zipped and password protected the offending files to hide them from the AV (security essentials by the way)
The final problem which I just can't understand is that when I try to create an image of my system drive, backup wants to add my D drive (which is purely a data drive) to the image.  My D drive is huge and I don't want to include it in a system image.  I keep my system drive lean and mean for exactly this purpose but now I can't back it up because the total size of C and D drives combined exceed the capacity of my backup drive.
I know for a fact that the D drive has no consequence to the system boooting or operating, I have disconnected it and windows boots up just fine.  In computer management the D Drive is not showing up as a system drive, so why does windows think it is?  And why isn't there a power user mode wher I can choose exactly what I want in a system image, I understand you're trying to make windows easy to use for the average Joe, but this lack of functionality and in depth control feels more like a Mac than windows.... and I hate macs.
So can anyone shed any light as to why my D drive is being flagged as a system disk, otherwise it's back to 3rd party solutions... AGAIN
    Thanks

    There is a solution.
Microsoft usually have stuff that is not documented. For example Windows server 2008 comes with a command line utility that will allow the backup (in this case a shadow copy) of any drive you wish to a  backup target. The program is wbadmin.exe.
According to some Microsoft sources it doesn't exists on Windows 7 but let me assure you that it does; I use it all the time, specifically to get round the problems you have described in your posts.
I build VHD images and test them until I am happy with them and then I back them up as a system image and then rewrite them on to a system drive. I can only do this with wbadmin.exe
To backup your c: to your d: (or what ever other drive you have space on in this case we will use d:)
     - Open a command prompt as Administrator
     - Run the following command:
Wbadmin start backup -backupTarget:d: -include:c: -quiet
     - You should get output something like this:
    wbadmin 1.0 - Backup command-line tool
    (C) Copyright 2004 Microsoft Corp.
    Retrieving volume information...
This will back up volume System(C:) to D:.
The backup operation to D: is starting.
Creating a shadow copy of the volumes specified for backup...
Creating a backup of volume System(C:), copied (1%).
Creating a backup of volume System(C:), copied (29%).
Creating a backup of volume System(C:), copied (57%).
Creating a backup of volume System(C:), copied (79%).
Creating a backup of volume System(C:), copied (98%).
The backup of volume System(C:) successfully completed.
    The backup operation successfully completed.
    Summary of the backup operation:
The backup of volume System(C:) successfully completed.
That should complete the backup. It should create a WindowsImageBackup folder in the dirve you backed up to.
    Restore as normal.
There is one small but very important caveat: If you have any system files or programs that are linked to the system drive on your d: drive or elsewhere you may find that when you restore your system the links are broken. it should not happen if you
have not made any changes before you restore but if you are like me who use the d: to store the bulk of the program files and just use the c: to store the system OS (on SSD... the need for speed! :) ) then you need to be careful... be warned!!
    That's all folks!

  • Good site for intermediate knowledge on Mac system architecture?

I have had up until now only a Windows-based background. My son recently got a Mac. There are plenty of guides for beginners which are aimed at the user-interface level for basic tasks. However I would like to read up on more of the Mac Operating system architecture itself eg I am fairly familiar with using Windows Control Panel, Device manager, the Windows registry itself - basically comfortable and knowledgeable about anything in windows system settings. Have had extensive training in virus removal so can interpret log files etc....I don't need or want to go to the extent of knowledge to program a Mac or anything of interest to Developers, but want to go a bit beyond understanding what the icons in the Dock represent.
Is there a good website to start....yes, I know, playing around with the Mac is the best way to learn but I can't get near it for one thing, and I don't want to go experimenting till I know more about it. Would appreciate a pointer to any good reading material, especially if it has screen shots of various system folders or applications showing the menus available, etc.
As an example, if I download a new device driver in Windows, I know where to look for it...we downloaded an updated printer driver the other day & it self-installed but I have no idea where it was installed....

Thanks guys, appreciate the suggestions, hope I'm not sounding picky/ungrateful for the help, but I'm not after stuff to do with developers/programmers. It's just wanting to find the Mac equivalents of things like msconfig, regedit (if there is such a thing in Mac), disk defrag, disk clean-up, tweaking settings - I guess this kind of stuff is mostly in System preferences? Things like the Administrative Tools in Windows where services can be stopped or disabled....pardon my ignorance if this is not relevant to Mac, I really know nothing about it. Maybe Confucious was right! Might need to get my own Mac The only time my son lets me near his computer is when something goes wrong & then he wants me to fix it. LOL!
Mac OS is (un)fortunately very good at doing most of the above itself. i expect the terminal app can do some of it but i'm no good on the terminal side. i'd use 3rd party apps with a GUI such as Cocktail

  • How to create an image of my system

I want to create an image snapshot of my system as is
    What apps/programs do I need?
Do I need an external hard drive to store the image?
    Do I need bootable media?
On Windows, I use Acronis - do things work the same way in Mac world?
    Thanks
    Omar

The Mac world is much like the Windows world you are used to.
Included in the base OS are tools you can use to make backup images of your system, but they are not the easiest to use, and may not be the most efficient, but they are included.  You can use the "Disk Utility" or the command line "dd" tool to make a backup image of your boot drive. You can download free utilities to make disk images of your system, like Clonezilla.  You can also purchase "shareware" software like SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner to make system images too.
As with any backup image you make of your system, you will need some media to store it on.  This is easiest if you use an external HD that is at least as large as your internal drive and then use one of the tools to make a bootable clone.  Going this route gives you a couple benefits, the first being that if your internal drive fails, you can connect the external drive and boot your system from it as if it were the internal system drive and be back running an a few minutes.  These can also come in handy to help troubleshoot problems.
I really recommend using the third party tools like Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper!

  • 3-tier vs. 2-tier system architecture (DEV- QAS- PRD)

    Dear Xperts,
I would like to know your opinion about a 3-tier (DEV->QAS->PRD) vs 2-tier (DEV/QAS->PRD) BW system architecture.
Why should you choose for 3 instead of 2, or the other way around. Thus pro's & cons.
    Thx.
    regards,
    JvB
ps xcuse me 4 the cross-post in the 2004s part. It should be posted in this forum.

    Hello
2 Tier architecture will have Presentation Layer and DataBase Layer. So each and every time we have to access the Database directly and this may affect the DB Performance and if the number of concurrent users are more then it will be worser.
in 3 Tier case another layer "Application layer" has been incorporated as an intermediate between the above said 2 layers and this prevents the direct access to the DB. The performance is not highly affected. can Manage multiple concurrent users.
Heard about 4 tier came and installation process going in in Gulf. (not sure)

    Hi,experts,
I want to finish webdynpro for abap program to read some photos from file system. I may make MIMES in the webdynpro component and create photos in the MIMES, but my boss doesn't agree with me using this way. He wish me read these photos from file system.
How to read some images from file system with webdynpro for abap?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hello Tao,
    The parameter
       icm/HTTP/file_access_<xx>
may help you to access the pictures without any db-access.
The following two links may help you to understand the other possibilities as well.
The threads are covering BSP, but it should be useful for WebDynpro as well.

  • System Architecture listed as PowerPC (it isn't)

I have just reinstalled the CS3 suite.  In the help menu for Illustrator CS3, there's an option to run a system profiler ("System info...").  A window pops up with a report in it.  On my report, for "System Architecture," it reads "PowerPC."  But I have an iMac with an Intel chip.  Previously, until 2007, I had a PowerPC Mac.
The software runs, but I'm puzzled that the profiler doesn't know what kind of machine I have.  Can anyone explain this oddness?
    Thanks.

It simply detects the Rosetta emulation which in CS3 was still used heavily for soem things.

  • Determine system architecture in pkgbuild

I would like to have different variable values based on system architecture.  For example, if arch=i686 then source=http://download_32bit_file else source=http://download_64bit_file.  I have seen this kind of thing done in some of the PKGBUILDs, but could not find them any more.  Please help.

I found it, thank you.  In case any one wants to know, the variable for system architecture is "$CARCH"

  • M30X-124: Power Saver image in the system tray disappeares.

    Hi,
I own a Satellite M30X-124 with Windows XP SP2. When installing Toshiba Power Saver everything works just until suddently the image in the system tray disappeares. I then have to reinstall the Toshiba Power Saver (TPS) for everything to work as intended.
By now, I have approx. reinstalled TPS 5 times. Does anyone know a solution or at least the problem?
    Greetz,
    Micha

    Hello
Well, I think its not a Power Saver malfunction. I assume that the option Hide inactive icons in the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties is marked.
Move the mouse pointer to the Taskbar then right click. There you should see the Taskbar properties. There you can disable the option Hide inactive icons.

  • Sending an image to the system clipboard

I've been trying to figure out how I can send an image to the system clipboard. At this state I'm beginning to think it's just not possible. This is the case:
I've got an applet running in a browser which creates a new window. I now want to copy the contents of this window to the system clipboard. So far I can only transfer text to the clipboard, but what I need is to copy a screenshot of the new window to the system clipboard.
Does anybody know how this can be done with Java or any kind of scripting language?

Since I already found the answer I rewarded 2 people for there help. This is the answer I found. Some code was found on the JDC Forum, but I can't remember who posted it or where I found it. So sorry that I can't give him credit...
Using JDK 1.4 the code could look like this:

  • System Architecture Question

I'm trying to figure out the current system architecture of a potiential client.
All I know is that they're running a JSP web application on Apache Tomcat against a MySQL database.
    1. If they're running Apache Tomcat does this mean they are not using EJB?
    2. Is it true they could be using an application server as well as Apache Tomcat?
    3. What is the best possible system architecture if running only Apache Tomcat against an MySQL database?
I know these questions are vague, but I'm trying to understand the best possible JSP design without using EJB.
    4. Will there still be a layered approach?
    Thank you,
    Todd

    1. If they're running Apache Tomcat does this mean
they are not using EJB?According to your information, it seems that they are not using EJBs. Tomcat does not handle that part of the J2EE specification.
    2. Is it true they could be using an application
server as well as Apache Tomcat?A "full" J2EE application server would furnish the same functionality.
    3. What is the best possible system architecture if
running only Apache Tomcat against an MySQL database?JSP, servlets, and POJC (Plain Ol' Java Classes). Possibly a Singleton or two to act as database "handlers" for connection pooling, etc.
I know these questions are vague, but I'm trying to
understand the best possible JSP design without using
EJB.Don't use JSPs for anything except display logic (View). Use Servlets for processing (Controller) and POJC for data access (Model).
    4. Will there still be a layered approach? In my opinion, kind of - you're still operating in the Servlet container, which has it's own rules regarding class behavior.
