Image on Displaying for IBOT in Outlook 2003

Hey Everyone
I Succesfully Extecuted the IBOT based on a Conditional Request, Everything is working fine but I am unable to display the Image on the EMAIL ( I am sending the email as HTML Format) , My BI Server and Answers request has an image on it.
I dont think its an Outlook problem because i chnaged the Configuration settings to download the image from Internet in outlook.
Do i need to store the images at another palce for IBOT Delivery , Please help me out

here i want the SPECTRUM Logo to be displayed in my Email , I tried sending the Email as a PDF attachment its sending the Email but it is not decoding the image properly and i cannot open the PDF .
I Got some Insight of why the problem is coming up - Because we are just referencing the Image Dircetory using @{fmap:images/spectrum_logo.gif} the IBOT doesnt know where to download the picture from ? I tried to give the full path of the Image directory but its not taking the full path of the image in the header i tried to give the location like @{fmap:c01/app/oraclebi/web/app/res/s_oracle10/images/spectrum_logo.gif} but its not recognizing

We have this working for ok Outlook 2003 SP3 in combination with Exchange Server 2003 SP2. Now for mailboxes that are moved to our new Exchange 2010 environment the hotfix stopped working. The sent items get stuck in the outbox of the delegate instead
of moving to the user in whose name the mail was sent. It does not matter if the user mailbox is on 2003 or 2010 as long as the delegated user is on Exchange 2010 SP1 it fails. We use Outlook 2003 SP3 in online mode. Does anyone know how to fix this
or maybe someone knows an alternative way to move the mails to the sent items with Exchange2010 SP1.

I'd like to know how did you set "send on behalf",from outlook give delegation permission or from Exchange Server give "send as" right?
Please try to use get-adpermission to verify if the user has "send as" right.

KM Image file name for Microsoft Office 2003 documents

We want to change the images which display for Microsoft Office 2003 files loaded into KM to something more recognizable, but we CANNOT find the image files for .XLS, .DOC, .PPT, etc.
Any Ideas what they are called? Are they in the standard image repository?

Hi Brian,
the icons are saved under /etc/public/mimes/images.
You can go to KM Content and upload there your own icons, You can either replace the SAP standard ones (ie: document.gif for .DOC) or you can change the KM Configuration (Content Management -> Utilities -> Icons) so that your own icons are associated with the MIME types you want to change. The second solution should be more upgrade safe in my opinion.

Itunes doesn't recognize the microsoft outlook 2003 on my computer

This is a new install of Windows 7 with Outlook 2003 Outlook 2003 is installed, and has been started to create it's working enviroment. In the Itunes 10.6.3.25 the only options shown for the address book in the "Sync Contacts with" check box and choices is Windows Contacts, Google Contacts or Yahoo Address book. Outlook 2003 is not shown as a choice. According to Microsoft Outlook 2007 is supposed to be compatible with Windows 7.
I am at a loss since I can't securely back-up my Iphone until this is resolved.

I found the problem. I went to lurvely Microsoft looking for updates to Outlook 2003. I found two security updates from 2012 for the product:
Security Update for Microsoft Office 2003 4-9-2012 office2003-KB2597112-FullFile-ENU
Security Update for Microsoft Office 2003 5-7-2012 office2003-KB2598253-FullFile-ENU
Seems one or both block access by Itunes AND Motorola Tools mobile (probably any other software for accessing/backing up files on a cell phone, ipod, or other syncable device) for that matter to Outlook 2003 so you can add, sync or back-up your contacts and calendar. Thank You Microsoft for a whole two days of frustration...
I uninstalled Outlook 2003, and re-installed only updated with Office 2003 Service Pack 3:

Outlook 2003 Free/Busy only shows 2 months for users on Exchange 2010

Hi,
We are moving to Exchange 2010 from Exchange 2003 and have noticed that users who have been created on or migrated to Exchange 2010 who also use Outlook 2003 can only see 2 months worth of free busy information.
After doing some testing this is only an issue if the user who is looking at the free busy is located on Exchange 2010 and they are using Outlook 2003. It doesn't matter if the mailboxes they are looking at are on Exchange 2003 or Exchange 2010.
If the user uses Outlook 2007 they see free/busy past 2 months.
We configure Outlook to publish 12 months of free/busy.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Matt,
According to your description, the issue only happens in Outlook 2003 but not in other Outlook versions. Please check whether there is the Auto Accept Agent installed in your Exchange server. This issue occurs when you register the Auto Accept Agent to process
meeting requests for the affected mailbox.
Here is a KB related to this issue. Please follow it to configure the period for which you want to publish Free/Busy information in a registry entry on the Microsoft Exchange Server on which you have installed the Auto Accept Agent:
The published Free/Busy information for a mailbox is displayed for the default period of two months after you have configured a longer period in Outlook

Additionally, I recommend you upgrade your Outlook 2003 clients to Outlook 2010/2013 for better working. Because Microsoft ended support for Office 2003 on April 8, 2014.

I run Outlook 2003 under Windows 8.1.1 in all of my 3 computers. 70% of the mail from the same sender are shown OK in the actual computer and 100% of the very same mail are shown OK in the two other computers. If I forwards an OK received
mail from one of the “100%”, it will be received OK in the “70%” as well. For me the wrong displayed mail shows up as some kind of vector-descriptors (non converted html?). All links in blue are displayed ok and most of the text is readable in an unformatted
way. When it comes to logos etc it’s not readable at all. What to do?

Image doesnt display same in rediff as in outlook

hi,
I am working on a project where i have to send mails with embeded images.It works fine in while viewing in outlook but if send it to rediff or yahoo the images are not embeded. they are shown as attachment.

From my personal experience, the mail that we sent through html doesnt carry the image with itself, instead the URL of the image. There fore the mailer to which the email sent may not display (or blocked) the image from the given the url as the image resides on the remote machine.
It depends on how you are trying to read the message and display it.
By the way javamail has nothing to do with it. (as i have understood from my previous post)

In this approach the images aren't actually included in the message, and so won't be visible if the user is not connected to the Internet when they read the message. Note also that some mailers will refuse to display images that are on remote sites.

OUTLOOK 2003 categories for SAP Groupware Client

do you know how to enable that in OUTLOOK 2003 all the appointments created are automatically asiigned to a particolary category ?

Hi Tanesh,
generally it is possible to store your mail in the SAP DMS system. The only thing you have to maintain is a new workstation application for file format *.msg. Then you can save your emails, add it to a document info record and check them in.
In transaction DC30 where you maintain the new workstation application you can also define how these originals will be opened if you display it in DMS transaction CV02N or CV03N. I would recommend you to set the parameter %AUTO% for all application types under 'Define Workstation Application in Network'.
Further it would be possible to use EasyDMS application for storing emails and originals easily. EasyDMS is installed separatly on your PC and connects to the R/3 system by using RFC connections. With this DMS 'light' application you can also add new originals into your backend system very easy because EasyDMS is integrated in the Windows Explorer. You can navigate in a folder structure very similar as in the Windows explorer. Need suggestion(s) for smooth transition to Outlook 2003 from Outlook 2000

I'm currently syncing my T|X with Outlook 2000 using Hotsync Manager 6.0.1 on Win XP Pro. I'd like to switch to Outlook 2003.
Firstly, is Hotsync 6.0.1 compatible with Outlook 2003?
If so, what would be the most foolproof way of switching as far as the Hotsyncing is concerned, such as a recommended steps of installing / uninstalling / upgrading / reinstalling, etc?
I'd like to avoid shooting myself in the foot, if possible

Ok, here are a few necessary enhancements and if some already exist, they're not easily accessible.
Remember, anything that makes the experience for the user coming from Android or Iphone easy and simple is a must.
1- Alarm settings: should be able to set more than one alarm. E.g: 8AM, 10:30AM, 5PM, 10PM etc..
2- The internet browser should have a kind of refresh button on the same line as the address field. Should not require a 2 step to access the Reload button.
3- In Text messages, and this is extremely important to fix. The backspace push button should not be right above the Send button. Many times I've sent incomplete msg when trying to backspace to correct a word. If it can be placed where the smileys drop down box that would be great.
I will add more later on.

HTML in body issues/ Outlook 2003 displays HTML as attachement/PDFs

Hi, I have a requirement to use email bursting to send out a PDF with a UPS ARS return label in it. We also send out plan HTML update emails for BI Publisher that we want to appear in the body of the email.
I'm having two problems. Before we applied patch 9501440 (which replaces patch 6135146 for BI Publisher 5.6.3 on Oracle EBS 11i) my test PDF attachment emails came across as their body being in a file called bodyText.txt as an attachment. Applying the patch fixed this issue but now our regular HTML emails which should be in the body don't work properly when received from Outlook 2003 (which is the version we're on). The HTML appears as an attachment. There's another patch for this but it's bundled as the latest roll-up for the standalone XML Publisher Enterprise Edition so I don't think we can apply it. I've opened a SAR with Oracle but they so far do not have a solution.
Does anyone know of a solution for this problem? Also, is there a way to use a template for the HTML body and another template in the same email to produce a PDF attachment. We're concerned that rendering the shipping label in HTML may cause it to not format properly when printed by end users in the field.
I can't imagine that what we're trying to do is that out of the ordinary...
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have searched all over the net and I know it is probably an issue or setting with Outlook but though somebody may have seen this or at least know what is going on.
The email is sent but is just a link / attachment for Outlook users in the email body - no text etc. They have to open it up. Asked them to check for HTML settings.

Image not displaying properly for SAP GUI for HTML transaction iview

We have a sap gui for HTML iview for transaction REORRR in portal. After giving enough inputs this leads to Business Document Navigator screen(part of Document management) where i need to display a document(.jpg image in this scenario). When i double click on the image it is opening on the right side of the screen but in a compressed format where in we need to scroll down to see the image. But i would require the image to display with out scroll bar or in a new window.
When i change the format of the iview as SAP GUI for Windows the image is opening in a new window.
I would like to know whether there is any configaration settings either in portal or in Document management side. or is this any limitation of the SAP GUI for HTML scenario.

The requirement that you have stated is not a standard feature in ISA CRM. In order to do the same, you will need to modify the standard ISA code in Java. A common path for the solution would be as follows:
1. Colours
    a. Maintain a text type for Color under the object - PCAT_ITM in Customizing.
    b. Modify the standard search of ISA to search within your new text type as well. (In standard it only searches in Description.
   c. Maintain all shirts colour data in the new type created in step a.
   d. Your requirement will be done!
2. Price
a. Use list prices for your shop and assign the appropriate condition type, acces in your catalog.
b. Modify the standard search of ISA to search on the list prices as well.
c. This too will be done!
3. Accessories - This is very tricky, and will require some exploration. However, here's my opinion,
a. Search for the standard function module, which will return the accessories when provided the product as an input.
b. Modify this function module according to your requirement and ensure that it can be accessed remotely.
c. Modify the JSP as in steps 1b and 2b above to call this new remote-enabled function module.
d. Now you're done!!
The ISA modification part is not so simple, you need a really good guy like "Sateesh Chandra" who'll be able to handle your requirements. This is all I could manage, hope it is some help to you!

Vista & Outlook 2007: Sync with second XP & Outlook 2003 - The passed buffer is too small for the reply data

Dear Community,
I'm synchronising my T3 with two PCs. One with Vista & Outlook 2007 and the other with XP & Outlook 2003. Both with the latest conduit & Hotsync Manager versions installed for each OS based on the availability on the Palm Website.
My problem is that when I synchronise the T3 with either PC and then try to sync it with the other I'm receiving the following error message for the Calendar:

The passed buffer is too small for the reply data.

OLERR:0D-0004
OLERR:0D-0001
- Slow Sync
Outlook Calendar synchronization failed
The second time the sync is successful but takes a long time and the actual problem is that it creates duplicates for records previously changed on either PC - but with a sync in between those changes, i.e. no conflict in the sense that the same record was changed in both environments since the last sync. I have configured the conflict handling to establish a hierarchy PC1-T3-PC2 but try to avoid them by synchronising as often as possible.
Has anyone come across that problem or any ideas? Can you somehow adjust the buffer size for the sync? I have been using Lotus Organiser & then the various Outlook versions for a number of years.

As they say on TV, "Doh"!!!
I figured out the problem. I started the Sync tool, selected "Settings", then "Mcrosoft Outlook" tab and then "Select Folders" button. I browsed to the proper folders in Outlook (Calendar, Tasks, etc). Select OK enough times and retried the sync.
It worked.
