Imaq 5.0 installation nivissvc.dll

Im trying to install labview version 6i with imaq version 5.0 on a pc running win2k. Labview seems to run fine without installing imaq. Once I install imaq and try to use (for example) the IMAQ ReadFile vi I get the following error:
"The procedure entry point EnterModalDialog could not be located in the dynamic link library NIVisSvc.dll"
I have tried wiping the system of any national instruments software (including the registry) and reinstalling only to get the same result.

Cleaning the system would have been my first suggestion. LabVIEW 6i and IMAQ Vision 5.0 should be able to be used together. I would recommend trying it on another machine that hasn't had LabVIEW or Vision installed on it before because sometimes junk can be left behind if the uninstaller has problems and it is hard to find all of the registry keys hiding in there. I assume that it is something specific to that machine and that reinstalling the OS would probably resolve the issue, but I know how unappealing reinstalling the OS is so I would try another computer first.
Cheers,

    4. then have this error now when opening any .vi files which are associated with Vision.
Any kind souls with the right expertise, please kindly offer help. Thank you.

I also ran into this issue.
Advice: stay away from the imaq drivers of Feb 2015 (als found DevSuite2015Q2).
    Response of NI support:
Unfortunately, we have no clear-cut solution to the problem. Many customers have tried to reinstall all NI Software, but the problem persists. In addition, they have tried to copy the nivissvc.dll from other freshly installed computers, but with the same result. The only way to solve this issue at the moment that has been proven successful is a reinstall of Windows. However, this is a very drastic way to resolve the issue.
At the moment, it does not seem to be related to the NI Software, but to the files in Windows. In a related issue (not identical, it was another dll), one customer could get around the issue by going back to a Windows restore point earlier than when the newer version of the drivers were installed.

  • Cannot load installer NiD16CI.DLL see hardware vendor

Setup cannot load the installer NiD16CI.DLL for the device GpibHw hardware being installed. contact your hardware vendor.

    Hello,
Could you give a more detailed description of what is happening? Do you get this error when installing the driver or when plugging the hardware? What hardware do you have? What OS? What driver version? Is this an upgrade?
If it is an upgrade, please uninstall the previous driver, then reboot, and then install the new driver.
If it is a new install and you are installing from a CD, copy the content of the Disk to your Hard Disk or to a computer on the Network and then install it from there. The reason for this is that sometimes there are some problems when getting the data from the CD unit.
Check that the software or driver is the correct one for the OS and the hardware.

What does these mean? Does this mean I cannot use AVI inside RT? or does this indicate any installation problems? It is urgent and any help is welcome

I too have been experiencing this problem, only with 8.2.  I have
a built application that crashes semi-randomly on my development
    machine - XP blames LVRT.DLL.  I bundled the 8.2 LVRT.DLL into my
build as suggested, that didn't help.  The application thus far is
just a fairly complicated GUI with no hardware being addressed (yet)
and no external libraries being called (yet).
    Insight, anyone?
    Thanx.

  • Having major problem with deployed installer needing DLLs that I don't seem to use in the application

I'm a bit confounded on the library situations...I'm not using an RT target...
    though
when running the deployed executable/installer.... upon start it asks
for these 2 dlls:  lvuste.dll & lvalarms.dll. which seem to be related to RT  ????  how do I get
around this?  How would I include these dlls within an executable or installer?
     I'm using 8.5.

It looks like this was a problem with the way Timed loops link directly to those 2 DLLs.  Does the error ask for those DLLs in a specific folder?  If so you can copy them from their current location (which I believe should be <labview>\resource folder) to the folder that it wants them to be in.  Alternately you can simply remove the timed loops, since timed loops on a Windows PC doesn't really have much benefit over a while loop with a timer.
    Hope this helps...

  • Client installation: MsiHandler.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147024769

Due to a company merger, I had to move approx 200 clients from a SCCM 2012 R2 site to a SCCM 2012 SP1 site. I did this by uninstalling all clients, uninstalling the SCCM 2012 R2 site, cleaned up, set up boundaries and AD publishing on the SCCM 2012 SP1 site,

    Hi Jason,
    Thank you for your reply.
Correction, there are 3 affected systems. One is a Windows Server 2003 SP2 32-bit, the last two are Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. All three have the same error.
The msihandler.dll is extracted from the client.msi during installation to the C:\windows\ccm folder. When the installation fails, it rolls back and deletes the CCM folder. But I was able to get a copy of the msihandler.dll file, and tried registering it
manually, which failed with a general error that the specified module could not be found. I also copied the file from a working system, but it still failed.
The Windows app event log reflects the same error during MSI installation as the log files.
The systems does have SCEP from the previous SCCM site installed and running. I uninstalled it on of the the VMs and rebootet, but SCCM client installation still fails with the same error.

  • Lync 2013 installation problem - dll file missing

    Hi,
I've encountered this problem with Lync 2013 installation on 2 different computers.
    Error message:
    "perfboost.exe - System Error
The program can't start because appvisvsubsystems32.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
The first time i got this error was while installing Lync 2013 (32-bit ver.) for a user with an E1 Office 365 plan and an Office 2013 Home and Business suite installed (32-bit version) on a 64-bit Win 7 Pro machine. The installation completed despite the
error message but Lync could not connect to the server saying that "the server for
domain.eu cannot be found". I tried the manual configuration with the same result. I'm confident it's not a DNS problem as other users within the same domain are using Lync 2013 with no connectivity issues.
The second time I got the error was when installing Lync 2013 on a new machine, also with Office 2013 H&B 32-bit and Lync 2013 32-bit downloaded from the user's Office 365 account (also plan E1). The installation also completed but I had no problems
logging the user in (it's another user, same domain)
Anyone has a clue about this? Should I install the 64-bit Lync version instead? Would it conflict with the 32-bit Office 2013?
    Thanks.
    Luka

  • Adobe FrameMaker 12 installer missing DLL

Hi, I hope you can help me, because I've run out of ideas...
Trying to install the FM12 package. I have Office 365 and I know only the 2003 and 2010 are supported, but I don't need the plugin, I'd only use it for creating FM11-compatible .fm and .xml outputs.
So, I open the downloaded file, the installer extracts and starts then it says that a dll is missing, and gives advices on how to proceed: restart, close all start-up programs and every other programs, then start the installer again.
Done it, twice already...does not work, and  on both occasions I encountered the same error.
    All ideas are welcome...!

start at the top and work your way down applying applicable fixes until your problem is resolved.
    if cc (win):  https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-application-failed.html
    if, your error is:
"Installer failed to initialize. File not found." or "Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to missing files."
first, rename OOBE Folder to OOBE.old.
    to find OOBE:
64 bit win OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
32 bit win OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
    mac os: HD>library>application support>adobe>caps
    mac os: USER>library>application support>adobe>OOB
if that fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
if you're using a dvd to install:
copy the disc contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.
    if you're using a mac:
    1. Try to Create a new user account in Mac with Administrator Priviledges.
    2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
    3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
    4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
    5. Start the installation again.
if everything applicable above fails, check your installation logs:

  • JCO Installation librfccm.dll file

    Hi,
I am trying to install JCO before installing integraiton kit. I downloaded 2.1.9 and 3.0.6 versions but i could not find librfccm.dll file.
Where can i find it? Also should i install 64 bit or 32 bit version? i have 64 bit server 2008 operating system.

Use the 32bit version of JCO 2.1.9. There are 2 DLL files: librfc32.dll and sapjco.dll.
Copy those into <Windows installation directory>\SysWOW64
You should copy also the JAR file under <BOBJ installation directory>\Tomcat55\shared\lib. If the path does not exist, just create it. Restart the tomcat after copying the file and BEFORE starting the installation of the int.Kit.

  • Installer for DLL

    Hello everybody,
    I have developed a DLL with C#.
Now I need an installer to install it on another machine. I have used Setup Project in Visual Studio to prepare an installer.
But the installer doesn't work the same as visual studio when I build the Project.
Because I want to use this dll in another sofftware, which is a software for automation and this dll doesn't have interface(GUI). After installation on another machine I can see the dll in ActiveX Control List but when I select it, it doesn't have any GUI.
I need a "Know How Information" about the parameters of regasm that are used with Visual Studio when it build the project or something like this, to do the same in my installer.
Any anoter idea can be helpful.
    Bests
    Parisa

    Hello,
Based on your screenshot and the detailed reply, the dll should be registered to COM, and for that you could test the following way.
It contains the same steps used in Create the installation package
part in How to develop and deploy ActiveX control in C#
    1. Add a new “Setup” project
    In the current solution, select
    File->Add->New Project…, select
Other Project Types->Setup and Deployment->Visual Studio Installer, Click
Setup Project and specify a project name.
    2.  Add your ActiveX control dll into this setup project.
    Right click Application Folder, select
    Add->File…
Then browse your dll file and add into the project
    3. Select your ActiveX assembly and change Register to
    vsdraCOM.

Fixed the problem on my end!
    Browse to c:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore
Set your settings to view hidden files and folders. If you see any .LIC files in there, rename them (prior to deleting them).
Then relaunch Adobe and see if it works!
If it works, then go back to that folder and you should see a newly generated .LIC file. Delete the older files and you should be good!
So glad I had to figure this out on my own, wasted 2 days of work on Adobe. This issue is definitely due to the problem with their Acrobat Standard Licensing Server issue yesterday, I'm positive of it.

  • Can not use IMAQ ImageToArray and IMAQ Rotate on CVS

when using my image processing DLL, I have to use IMAQ ImageToArray and
ArrayToImage which call the NIVissvc.dll and NIVision.dll . these are very
common IMAQ fuctions, in Labview, all my vi works well, when this exe
running on the CVS, it says can not find (or load) the ImageToArray, we can
use many IMAQ functions like imageExtract, IMaqCreate, on CVS before, but
failed on this one and the IMAQ rotate as well, we checked the dll on CVS
RT/System dir, the NIVision.dll is 2MB, and the one on my PC win/system32 is
2.2MB, then we copy the 2.2MB DLL to CVS , then the CVS says canot find the
NIVision.dll, is the DLL on pc not for real time ? what the diff btw DLL on
CVS and on LV in PC ?
don't how to use some sim
ple IMAQ functions on CVS like IMAQ Rotate and
ImageToArray etc, or the DLL version on my CVS is not a full version ?

    Richard,
I am not sure why you might be running into this problem. The Image to Array, Array to Image, and Rotate VIs should all work just fine on the Compact Vision System (CVS). In fact, as I am writing this post, there is a CVS on my desk that is using all of those functions.
If you are having trouble getting this to work, I would suggest that you verify that you have both NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 RT and IMAQ Vision RT installed on the CVS. You would need to have both of these installed to have this work properly.
As for the DLLs that you mentioned, I would not suggest copying the DLL from your PC to your CVS, as they have different operating systems, and any system specific functionality would not work. Finally, since you have already made modificati
ons to your CVS's software, you may want to delete all the software off the CVS and try a new installation of the software just to be sure that it is installed correctly.

  • Distributing Imaq Vision demos

I have a piece of software written using Imaq Vision. I understand that I need to purchase a runtime license to distribute executables. The problem is that I need to distribute demo versions of the software to potential customers before they will commit. Is there any way of doing this without paying the $300 per executable? I would read images from file instead of from a camera. I would only need 2 or 3 images.
NI could allow the software to work with only NI watermarked images (then an NI rep could watermark a few of my images). That would allow me to sell more software, and NI would sell more runtime licenses.
    Anyone got any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Steve
