IMFMediaSession::Start method stops working on second intance

I have created a test app modeled on the playlist example in the vista sdk. I modified it a bit to play video and loop with the skip function. I then set it up to create two windows with a player in each. Now with one window it plays just fine and loops
as expected. When I add a second window with another playlist something strange begins to happen. The first window plays and loops just fine, but when it comes to the second window, when it gets to the end of the sequencer source, it triggers the MEEndOfPresentation
event. The code is set to call the skip function, which it executes fine. Then the player just goes black. It must still be playing or something, because if I wait the player will start playing again. If I wait even longer it will go black again. Now the whole
time the first window is running fine.

I could post the code for the test app, but it is quite a bit. I am hoping someone might have a clue to what the problem is before I fill this thread with code. I would appreciate it if someone could help me work through this problem.

So,
- quit messages app to clear it out
- I start the Messages app - click on a person - then click at bottom to message area
- then click on MIC for dictation
- 1st time siri starts - then stops after 1 second
- then after that I try again and it stays on while I talk

I see that you are having IMessage problems. Some of the problems might be:
- Your friends IMessage is not activated (you have to activiate it with your apple id)
- Your IMessage is not activated

Ui:hyperlink and ui:button "action" methods stopped working in IE

I'm developing my application for few months, but few days ago all ui:hyperlink and button action methods stopped working in IE. They are not invoked at all... No javascript errors, everything works fine in Firefox. Can anybody tell me where to look as I'm sitting 6h in front of screen and cannot find anything wrong...
The only thing I have changed was adding a filter which changes encoding to UTF-8. Class below:

Why do some videos from some website stop working after seconds or minutes on a new iPad

I subscribe to some website posting videos. The videos will start as it should and then stop after, sometimes seconds, and sometimes minutes after the beginning.
The iPad is less than 3 weeks old. it is already the second. The first was a 16 GB this one is a 32 GB. no difference. This issue does not happen with only one website but other posted videos from other websites.

This and other answers helped me to understand better why I cannot view these videos and search for answers. I found that the videos posted by this website end in .cfm, and doing research cfm is Adobe and is not compatible with apple software ? why this is not resolved is surprising to me - Several other people experience the same issue as I (dating 2007-to 2013) I am not computer literate but I know how to find information on the web and know +or - how to use the programs. There seems to be nothing that will convert these videos into a format that the iPad could process and allow. should I buy quicktime for my windows device and transfer/sync it to the ipad (?)(3 weeks old I paid $900) will this work. I have tried to upgrade the firmware to my router but no luck there either; even following all the steps religiously. the unzip is not working? I get a file the upgrade button rejects.
if it is this cfm format that is doing that, then there is no reason to spend x$ into a new router : the issue will remain the same- is this statement correct ?

Sound stops working, 3 seconds after plugging in headphones

I have a strange issue on my phone where the sound stops working after about 3 seconds (consistently), after plugging in headphones.
I have the latest software update and I don't have any special sound modifying apps. No software I've installed ruined this, it has worked fine before, until about two weeks ago. I've also dust-cleaned the headphone jack.
Without headphones, the sound works great.
Here's an example of what happens
1. I start a video on YouTube / play a song / start a call with someone / start a game
2. The sound works well, nothing is strange at all
3. I plug in my headphones
4. The sound now works in the headphones
5. About 3 seconds later, the sound stops working completely, in all the cases above
6. The sound never returns, until I unplug my headphones
I'm clueless as to what could be causing this. Does anyone have any idea?

It seems like a software/firmware issue, since the 3 seconds of working is 100% the same every time

SSRS Execution Service Render Method stopped working

I'm having the following Problem:
I was trying to integrate SSRS in my Company-Software, and until today it went quite good:
Its an ASPMVC 5 project with WCF-Services, and in these i had methods to render reports with the help of the ReportExecution - Webservice (2005), the Version of the MSSQL Server we use is 2008R2, reports use stored procedures as data sets.
Everything worked fine, i could render all my reports in the services, gave the result back to the Frontendprojects to present it there, it worked fast and properly.
Until today: For some reason, the call of the ReportExection.Render() - Method gives no more results back.
Debugging shows me that it works approx. the same time as it did before for every report, but the result now is only "null" for every report i integrated until now:

I tested the methods with the same user in an WindowsForms Project and got a result. In a former Version, it also still works. I changed nothing since the last deploy in this methods, so can't imagine why it suddenly stopped working....

Found the solution!
After checking team-foundation-changelogs of the last checkins, it turned out that somehow automatically some value in the reference.cs of the reportexecution - webservice was changed from:

to
[return: System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute("Value", DataType="base64Binary")]
After deleting and readding the webreference to the Project, it worked again.
The next Thing to Research for me is how it can be, that this value automatically changes. Possibly because of different Versions of VS in the dev-Team.. (Ultimate and premium) In any case, this issue is solved, thank you for reading :)

Try restoring the iPod via iTunes. First from backup and if problem persists, restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. If your iPod is with in the one-year warrranty, not abused and defective Apple will replace it.

- Try on another computer/network

Mic Starts and Stops Working

So I'm sitting here looking at the audio settings for my mic because it stops working after less than a minute of unplugging and replugging it to get it to work, and the little grey bar for the mic volume will drop all the way to low and the mic won't work, but if I click anything, say Sounds, then Audio settings again, it starts working then stops again in under a minute. I went into playback devices and it says the mic is working properly and it's pratically brand new. I've already tried reinstalling Skyp

I suggest the following:
1. Make sure the mic is working with other programs.
2. Install the latest version of Skype.
3. Disable the automatic volume adjustment in Skype audio settings.
4. If problem is not resolved then provide logs as described in this link under Skype for Windows Desktop and attach it to your post.

Sound suddenly starts and stops working?

My iPhone 4S isn't making sound. My settings have not changed and I have turned my phone on and off several times. When I click the buttons on the side to adjust, the icon shows on the screen, but the dots for volume are not there. In my music, it plays, but the sound bar is grayed out, and it won't adjust at all when I click it. In some apps, like YouTube, the sound bar is gray as well, but again, I didn't make any adjustments to my phone. I haven't dropped it. It had stopped and started working multiple times. It went in and out while I was getting ready for work this morning. I got a text alert and then the next text it vibrated but made no noise. I don't get the sound when it sends a text or the noise when it locks my phone. It's like the phone suddenly mutes itself but I didn't tell I too. My music has started and stopped as I wrote this message but again, I have done nothing to the phone itself. I assumed this was a hardware glitch because all the advise I have found for this issue is to clean out the sound docks on my phone. I did that already but the issue has persisted. Turning it on and off has not made a difference. I also can't hear calls. My phone is pretty useless without sound.

Photoshop Adobe 3.2 starter edition stopped working

A couple of days ago my Adobe 3.2 starter edition quit working. It asked me to re register then when I did I got an email reply saying that: The Adobe Starter edition is no longer available....What's up with that?

I believe that there is a separate forum on Photoshop Starter, but have to admit that I could not find the link to offer it up to you. It seems that John Joslin has posted it before, as have some others. Maybe your boolean is better than mine, and you'll be able to find the exact forum.

Iphone4, starts and stops charging every second.

super frustrated here. I have an iPhone 4. I recently replaced the battery in an Apple store. for the first 2 weeks everything was fine, but recently everytime I plug it in to charge it vibrates twice to indicate that its charging then stops and starts again about every 1-2 seconds. I have taken it to apple so they could re seed the battery and clean out the ports and make sure its nothing on the wear and tear end but nothing works. and since my warrenty is out im out of luck in terms of a free swap. has anyone heard of this issue or any fixes? is it a hardware issue or could it be software? maybe a bad app install? any thing helps here. thanks

the battery started the charging loop at 99%, BUT (each time it re-started charging) there was 1 hour left for full charge.
