Impact on shopping cart due to change in backend system

Hi All,
Our client is changing the backend ECC5 system to ECC6 on new server (new logical sys) with FI restructring in ECC6.
We have SRM4.0 system ( with CCM on same client) with Extended classic scenario.
What will be impact on Shopping carts which are awaiting for approval or in Held status( used by client as template) .There is only product category and vendor and no material number in Shopping cart  from catalog.
As the product categories and vendors are same in ECC6 also , during cutover can the shopping cart with held/open status  be posted after changing backend system, Or we need to upload it.
Any thoughts on this please.
Best regards,
Avinash

Hi Laurent,
In ECC6 ,consolidation of many company codes  to single company code will happen, whereas in SRM as there is only one backend purchasing org we need to map this with new backend purchasing org of ECC6.0(which is unique for SRM)
As per my understanding, as backend system change we need to replicate same product categories from ECC6 to SRM4.0 as SRM creates GUIDs for backend product categories and passes a sych GUID in ECC also.
Will the existing shopping carts in Held/open condition get processed which had been already created with old Product categories and vendor details (which are replicated from ECC5) when backend system changed to ECC6
Is this applicable for open purchase orders also as company code consolidates in ECC6. Do we need to close open PO or upload open with change data?
Please suggest.

Avinash

Is the entire cart rejected or just one item?-> Entire cart rejected
Is there a workitem in the inbox of the requester to accept the changes? -> There is no work item in the inbox of requestor to accept changes. There is no Accept changes button either in the check status transaction
Are you trying to change the cart via inbox or check status?-> Via Check status
Do you have the status 'in your inbox' for the cart?-> No status in the Approval inbox. But under Messages it shows- Mail: Shopping cart 1000001582 was Rejected

  • Shopping cart Creation Time is different from system time

    Hi ,
Shopping Cart Creation Time is Different from System time.
Could you tell me,        to which time it is refering to.
    How to change it.
    Create By is      webseruser
Where can I find the required settings for the same
    Thanks In advance

    Hello,
Are you checking this in BBP_PD?
If you go to SU01 and check parameter "Personal Time Zone" -> "of the user", this time will appear to end user when creating document (document header in web).
If you do not have informed any value, it will be populated the pattern system timezone, defined in SU01 as well.
                                                                                    - I created a RFX in my test system with a user who's timezone (in tx SU01) is set as:
    Sys. Time Zone     CET
    of the User        INDIA
    - CET time  was 20:01:55
    - GMT time was 18:01:55
    - India time was 23:31:55
Looking at this RFX in BBP_PD I see the following:
Same user (India timezone and CET as "Sys. Time Zone"):
    Created_At: 20:01:55
    Changed_at: 20:01:55
    DETAILS (header):
    Created at: 18:01:55
    Changed at: 18:01:55
    RFX header (description): 23:31:55
So, for end users, you should populate field "of the user" in SU01.
In BBP_PD header details, you will have the GMT time (which is stored in internal tables).
In BBP_PD created_at and changed_at you will have the system time zone, as defined in SU01.

  • Wrong Price in Shopping Cart after PR Changed in ECC

    Hi All,
I'm using SRM extended classic scenario, and i have the following scenario:
    1. Create PR in ECC using material assigned to contract (contract exist both in SRM and ECC) with quantity 8 PC. This PR document type didn't use release strategy.
    2. Transfer PR ECC to SRM using BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER
    3. SC created in SRM with quantity 8 PC and already assigned to the same contract
    4. Run report BBP_SC_TRANSFER_GROUPED to create PO with contract (test mode)
    5. No error message when simulate create PO
    6. Change PR quantity to 4 PC in ECC
    7. Run BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER in ECC
    8. Shopping cart quantity updated to 4 PC in SRM, but ITEM PRICE BECAME ZERO
    9. Run report BBP_SC_TRANSFER_GROUPED to create PO with contract (test mode)
    10. Got error message 'Enter the price or deselect the 'Invoice Expected' indicator
When I change PR in ECC, I only change the quantity, not the valuation price. Why the price is changed to zero in shopping cart?
Does anyone here ever face the same problem?

problem solved. I've raised oss message and got note 1451988

  • Shopping Cart Approvers for changed shopping carts

    Hi
We're currently working on a patching process and are having problems with shopping cart approvals
We have a 2 stage approval for carts over £75K
The scenario that is not working is
The approver 1, approves the cart
Then approver 2 rejects the cart
The shopper then changes the cart by increasing the value
The workflow should resend the cart back to approver 1 but it sends the cart to approver 2
What changes need to be done to send the cart back to the original approver ?

For  for n-Level Approval Shopping Cart sub workflow( 14000134 ) the workitem status  is set in the container element APPROVE_OR_REJECT when Sc is rejected it is set other than Zero and when is approved it is set to ZERO check in the workflow log whether this conatiner element is getting populated or not.

  • Unable to create shopping cart due to currency conversion error.

    Hi,
We are currently working in a extended classic scenario. We have about 8 users connected under a common entity ( dept). Out of which for one user (user1) we are able to create the shopping cart and able to run the entire procurement cycle the entire cycle.
When we are trying to create a SHC with any other user ( user2 to 8)  its giving the errors like
    1) Currency Conversion Error ( to GBP). Please inform help desk.
    2) Error in account assignment for item 0.
Attributes for all the users ( user1 to user8) are same and we are not getting any error in the attribute check as well.
    Please suggest.

Look up note 419423 + related notes to repair incorrect SRM users. What you report sounds a bit strange. A debugging session might be helpful too. Especially the 2nd error looks like something 'home-made'...

  • Shopping Cart - PO created in the backend

    Hi,
Many SC have been approved but no PO was created in the backend ECC due to various reason, I want to know all the SC which was approved and whose PO was not created in the backend, Is there any way to find it???
    regards,
    Prabhu

    Hi Prabhu,
Which version of SRM system you are in ? and waht scenario  you have implemented i.e classic or extended classic scenario ?
There are  OSS Notes available which have correction report in them which can gives you list of errreneous shopping cart that could help.
please refer to below OSS Note to see if that help.
    729967
    728536
if none of that help the logic would be to get all item guid from CRM_JEST which has status as I1111 active for those item GUID you can get the  header guid from CRMD_ORDERADM_I and the from header guid you can get the SC number from CRMD_ORDERADM_H.
    Hope this helps.

  • Moving data from shopping cart to Purchase Req in backend

    Hi,
We are implementing SRM 5.0 with R/3 ECC 6.0 in the backend.  I am brand new to this module and version.
When shopping and ordering, then running clean_reqreq_up to transfer to the backend, we notice a material number does not flow through to R/3.  I have implemented the BADI BBP_CREATE_BE_RQ_NEW to try and force a material number into the parameter field CS_RQ_DOCUMENT-IT_REQUISITION_ITEMS-MATERIAL.  When I activate the badi, and shop and order some product, then I check the status, it shows the following message in the follow on documents, which I can not figure out.
"Shopping cart 3nnnnnnnnn/1 Error in Process"  but if I deactivate the badi and do the same thing, the shopping cart status is successful.  I am having trouble debugging this badi and getting it to stop in the code to see what is happening.
I would like suggestions regarding if I am using the correct badi for what I need, and if so, how can I see more details regarding my error.
    Thanks,
    Marty

    Hi
Please read the BADI documenation provided by SAP, before making any coding.
<b>Here is the SAP Documenattion of the BADI Definition - BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK</b>
    Short Text
    Purchase Order in Backend System
You can use the Business Add-In BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW to change all data transferred to the backend system to create a purchase order. This includes the item data, account assignment, and text.
    Standard settings
The following changing parameters are available in the FILL_PO_INTERFACE method:
    Parameter   Transfer structure
    PO_ITEMS   Purchase order items
PO_ITEMS_ADD_DATA   Additional purchase order item data
PO_ITEM_SCHEDULES   Purchase order delivery schedule line
PO_ITEM_ACCOUNT   Purchase order item account assignment
    PO_ITEM_TEXT   Purchase order item texts
    PO_LIMITS   Purchase order limits
PO_CONTRACT_LIMITS   Purchase order limits - Contracts
PO_SERVICES   Services for a purchase order item
PO_SRV_ACCOUNT   Account assignment data for service
    PO_SRV_TEXTS   Texts for service line
    PO_HEADER   Purchase order header
PO_HEADER_ADD_DATA   Purchase order header additional data
PO_ADDRESS   Purchase order header address data
You can use the following parameters for transferring the attachements to the backend system:
    CT_ATTACH_BE  KW attachments including document
CV_ATTACH_BE_DOC_TYPE  Document type (standard is SRM)
CV_ATTACH_BE_STORAGE_CAT  Storage type (standard is DMS_C1_ST)
    CV_ATTACH_TRANSFER_ACTIVE  Activate transfer of attachments
    CV_ATTACH_USE_URL  Transfer URL only
    Recommendation
If you edit the PO_HEADER_ADD_DATA structure, you should check the settings of parameter HEADER_ADD_DATA_RELEVANT.
    Activities
You are able to use the parameter HEADER_ADD_DATA_RELEVANT in the BAdI implementation. Assigning this parameter the value:
    '1'
Means that the system only transfers the data of structure PO_HEADER_ADD_DATA to the purchase order in the backend system that is not empty (initial).
    'x'
Means that the system transfers all data of structure PO_HEADER_ADD_DATA to the purchase order in the backend system regardless of whether individual fields are filled.

  • Shopping Cart creation with reference to Backend Contract

    Dear Experts,
We are working in SRM 7.0 Classic Scenario.
We have Backend Contract with document type PCTR which is available as Source of Suppliy when creating Shopping cart.
I can use this contracts as source of supply but the issue is when the Shopping cart total quantity crosses the target value of the Contract quantity there was no error message as the quantity has exceeded the target quantity.
The system is allowing me to create the Shopping cart but after approval the Shopping cart is showing the status as Approved and not creating PO or PR.
Is there any configuration available to get the update if the quantity in SC crosses the Target quantity of the backend contract.
It is also OK if the SC goes to Purchasers work list if the target quantity is crossed.
Kindly reply to this thread immedeately.
    Regards,
    B.N.Karthikeyan.

    Hi
target quantity or Target value ?
what about your Contract value contract - target value or target quantity
i aware value contract is throwing message if the sc exceeds the contract value.
    share your contract details.
is it created in ECC or CCTR or GCTR . target quantity for materials or taget value for that material

  • UoM in shopping cart is different in the backend PR and PO and causes error

    Hi everyone,
We are creating shopping carts using the "special requests" function. the user specified the item/material description, price,  quantity, and selected the UoM "EA" for each.
When checked in BBP_SC_GETDETAIL for the shopping cart created, the unit shows as "SET".
When BBP_GET_STATUS_2 is run, it says "update successful" but gives an error message:
    SC 7100290033  : Error During Quantity Conversion ( EA -> SET )
I wonder where the system sees that the UoM should be "SET" when during the creation of the shopping cart, the user can have the choice to select the UoM. This is for materials that are not in the Catalog.
    Thank you and regards,
    Derrick

    Hello Derrick,
Check this material in trx COMMPR01.
Open the "Purchasing" tab, "Order of Unit" field will be the default UoM when you create a purchasing document on SRM.
The conversion ratios are in the "Material" tab, press the "Other units of measure" button. Maybe you have a conversion missing here. Compare this with MM03 on ECC.

  • Shopping Cart status not updated in BW system

    Hello All,
The status of a Shopping Cart is still appearing as"awaiting approval" in the BW system while in the R/3 system, it is already showing "approved"status. How to make the update in the BW system. Please advise.

This appears to be a standard issue.  Even we are facing the same and we resolve it by running the Repair full request infopackage for the particular shopping cart.

  • Change in backend system

    Hi SRM Gurus,
Project Scenario is ECC5 as backend system integrated with SRM 4.0( SSP scenario and with Catalog CCM2.0)
    Implementation scenario is Extended classic.
Backend system will be changed to ECC6 from ECC 5.0 with company code consolidation.
ECC6 is installed on separate server for implementing changes in FI (separate Dev, QA, Prod environment ) and will be integrated with SRM4.0
Question is that when we integrate SRM4.0 with ECC6, do we need to run transaction BDLS to change logical system name in SRM for backend system?
As all product categories and vendor are same in ECC 6.0 will this work.
Also there is GUID reference in table CRMLSSGUID & CRMPRLS in R3. How this will be taken care.
    Option 2:
no need to run BDLS in SRM. We need to define new backend system and  replicate all master data (product categories, UOM & vendor master) from ECC6 to SRM4.0.
SRM experts, please suggest as for me option 2 is suitable way.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Avinash

    Hi SRM experts,
In Org structure   Product categories will be maintained with Source system (new backend system) in extended attributes. Also for vendors new  backend system maintained in attributes.
With these settings user will able to see the product categories, vendors pertaining to New backend system.
    Please share your views.

  • Doubt in shopping cart

    Hi all,
i am working on SRM 5.0 classical scenario...Can i create a shopping cart using materials in my backend system.(I havent replicated the material to ebp)..Is it possible to d o that.
    Thanks&Regards,
    Hari

    Hi Hari,
Irrespective of the scenario (Implementation scenario) you are using except for stand alone to create a shopping cart for backend materials you have to replicate the backend material master to EBP (SRM).
If you can create a local P.org & local P.Group you can very well create shopping carts for local materials.
Hope this makes you more clear.
    Clarifications are welcome.
    Award points for helpful answers.

  • Changes in shopping cart at run time doesn't reflect at approval level.

    Hello experts,
I have created a shopping cart upto 4 levels based on immediate manager, category id, cost center and last manager (who will approve/reject ). It is working good so far. At 3rd level (cost center) I added a formula ( Overall value > 5.000 ). It means when overall value is greater than 5000 then only cost center is going to be displayed. It works when overall value goes above 5000. But before finishing shopping cart if user changes quantity, makes it less than previously entered (which affects overall value less than 5000 ) then at 3rd level it shows approval. This is not correct. As value goes below 5000 it should not show 3rd level approver. Where I should chnge the code ? Is there anything workng there ? Please advise. Thank you.
    Best regards.

    Hello Sam.
Thank you for your reply. Issue has been resolved now. It was portal issue.
Yes I am using process controlled workflow.
