Implementing Log Off in Custom Page

Hello Experts,
In our Portal Application we have a JSPDynpage which hides the masthead and shows its content. We have to implement a Log Off in this page. Can any one help me in implementing either a custom code for Log Off or implement the same Log Off code from Masthead without displaying the masthead in this view. If you experts can help it will be great.

You can download com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par.bak from filesystem:
/usr/sap/<SID>/J<Instance number>/j2ee/cluster/server0/apps/sap.com/irj/servlet_jsp/irj/root/web-inf/deployment/pcd/
OR system administration >> support
then extrat the par file and search the JAR files in lib folder. Extrat the Jar file, there is class files. Now you need decompiler to see the SAP Standard Logoff Functionality which have implemented in SAP portal.
You can use this Java code or modify as per your requirement

Computer logging off after quitting Pages

About one third of the time when I quit Pages, my computer screen goes blue and logs itself off as if I'd logged off and back on again.

While on my td bank secure site i log off then press the back arrow my secure page that i closed opens up.when i use internet explorer the same page doesnt sho

when i log off my td bank secure account page with the td log off botton i get a new td page. if i press the back arrow on the address bar the secure page i just closed pops up. when i do the same witn onternet explorer a generic td bank page home page pops up NEVER an account page with secure info shown. when this happens every time i dont know if i have logged off the secure page. i close my online browser[now firefox] to be sure the connection is broken but is the secure page open to any kind of breach? i am using firefox due to concern about intternet explore but i know on explorer when i log off td bank secure page i was on i can not access that page again unlees i login ,on firefox i press back arrow on address bar and the secure page i logged off shows up.i feel this is an important issue and must be addressed. thank you

What are your cookie settings?

You can delete all history when you exit Firefox, but it seems odd that a secure page that should expire is still accessible. It may be a timed expiration, but check the third party cookie settings to make sure it is not allowed to be saved.
I hope this helps prevent this from happening again.

Specify log off page for each system in WebUI

I am trying to define log off URL for the CRM WebUI. I have been able to define the URL on the technical profile. The problem for me is that the url points to a system specific page. In other words, when I define in the development system that I want to go to the logon page when I log off I use the URL of that points there. When this customizing later is transported to the quality system and later to the production system, the log off URL still points to the log on page of the development system.
Is there any way to specify that this url points to the log on page of the system that were logged off?

this is not possible in the SAP standard AFAIK.
The URL in the customizing of the technical role profile is read using the method CL_CRM_UI_TP_SRV->GET_URL_PART( ). In order to implement your requirement you could, e.g. implement a custom table containing the client, system name and URL. Additionally, you could then enhance CL_CRM_UI_TP_SRV->GET_URL_PART( ) using an implicit enhancement spot to read this custom table an return the entry for the system ID if present and the default customizing otherwise.

Custom Masthead - Log off

hi,
I have developed a custom masthead for our portal. Instead of Log off being called in the functional area. I have inserted that in the separate area where the log off has to appear.
The line looks like
I have given log off text in between <a> tag and the href points to "/irj/portal" and the javascript that is callled is openLogoffMsg
when I preview this code running from NWDS, it is logging off. When i add this to framework Page and click on Log off URL, the pop up comes and when i click 'ok', it is refreshing and staying in the same page and not getting logged off. What should I do to get logged off and redirect it to the logon page.

Is the issue logoff direction to logon page, so that if a user logs off from portal, he will navigate to portal logon page (hostname:portnumber/irj/portal)?
If this is the problem you can change the redirection of the portal logoff in the following way:
In the config tool navigate to:
cluster_config --> system --> custom_global --> cfg --> services --> com.sap.security.core.ume.services --> Property Sheet properties.
switch to edit mode and change the property ume.logoff.redirect.url with the custom value "http://hostname:portnumber/irj/portal".
After saving your changes restart the system.

Going to a particular page when logged off

How can I control what page to go to when I hit the logged off icon or link? I know how to set the default page after logging in, but what I don't know is how to set the default logged out page?
Can anybody help me with this?

If you want everyone to go to the same page when they log out, you can set a default page for the public user by editing the portal user profile for the PUBLIC user. You set the default page for this user and upon logout, that is the page that is navigated to.

Best practices on how to implement logging in custom application

In the Enterprise Manager it is possible to display/browse the content of different log files generated by the application server modules.
I have some custom web applications which currently use the log4j framework to write to log files. Is it possible to make these log files accesible for the Enterprise Manager ?
Or what is the best practice on how to implement logging in custom applications which can be browsed in the Enterprise Manager (I do not want to use system.out)

I thought that this could be done. An ex- colleague did this - but he didn't tell me how to solve this.
But as it just took 10 minutes to solve this I believe it's fairly easy.

Blank page opens and not able to log off

Hi All,
I am using MSS. There are 2 issues.
1) One of my user has received a task in UWL. When he tries to open that he is getting a blank page. In R/3 the structure and all the things are fine.
2) Also when he clicks the log off button dialogue box prompts to select yes or no , he gave YES but still it not getting logged off.
I tried deleting cookies , temporary files and turned compatibility settings on to " "Display all websites in Compatibility View" but of no use.
Please suggest on this.

Might be some problem with browser, try accessing with the compatible browser and then check it. check the browser compability in service market place PAM. http://service.sap.com/pam
Also check the default trace log file and search for the userid

- if i click on the back browser (IE6) button, I see query results again, without see logon screen.
- if i stay on the blank page and i relaunch my web template using WAD button 'Execute in browser ...' it doesn't ask me my logon information

try something like this:
button, which calls javascript function
function logoff()
// releases the current session and calls the log out page
SAPBWOpenURL(SAP_BW_URL_Get()+'&CMD=LOG_OFF&REDIRECT_URL=/sap/bw/Mime/Customer/WebApplications/htm_logoff.html');
it works correctly.If you press the button you will be at first loged off and after that redirected to htm_logoff.html (it is a simple html site, which you have to build)

Run time error occured while clicking the Log off

In this code having if condition if(EPCM.getGlobalDirty()) is set as true means, then only properly executed and it shows the Log off message. In my part it goes to the else part. Then it shows run time error message.
I cannt able to find out the solution.Pls help me in this regarding.

see if running SFC /Scannow helps. This basically restores missing/corrupt system files.
Click Start/Run and type CMD
Type SFC /Scannow

Hi,
You need to write customized java code in your development. Set the session of the user logged in and store. And get these details from the JSP page.
Also in MII logs you can find these details.

Log off issue in portal

Hi all,
Iam having an requirement on BSP with 2 pages and in first page i have certain input fields
and search help for customer.
The issue is that the user will click the search help button and pressess the log off button on the
workforce portal. After pressing the log off button the user able to come back to the initial screen
but the search help screen for customer is not getting closed.So my requirement is to close the search help screen as soon as the user pressess the log off button.
Can anyone help me out in this !...

Popup action resulting in Log Off

Hi All,
We have created one customized t-code which we gave as Quick Link in Portal. In the process, we have a popup window. When clicked Yes, it'll change some details. This is working fien for us. But only for one user this is not working. When he clicks Yes, page is Logged Off Succesfully. But strangely, when I use his login details and test, it's comign fine. Only in his system it's erroring out.
Is there any specific reason for this? Kindly suggest.
P.S.: Please suggest me if this is not the correct forum.

Check if his browser accepts cookies from SAP backend and/or the user access portal by FQDN.

SAP Web Gui does not completely log off.

I am having trouble with our web gui, I can log in without a problem and when i try to log out there is message shows that i am logged off but when i refresh the page it automatically logs in. It would only go back to the log on page if i exit the whole browser window. i am using mozilla for my web gui. any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

Log off problem in integrated ITS

Hi,
our cancel button for ending the application with an external ITS works fine and the exitURL which is deposit in the service file will be shown.
But with an integrated ITS it doesn't work. I know that this exitURL doesn't work in an integrated ITS.
So I left a redirect URL in the SICF > ErrorPages > Log Off Page > Redirected URL
but nothing happens after clicking the cancel button. The browser works and works but the old screen is still seen. What's wrong? Why the page will not be redirected to given Url?
Can anybody help me?
This works:
wgateURL(~command="logoff", ~exitURL="http://www.sap.com")
but we need a standard exit like described above and I think the way above should be right.
