Import mode FULL conflicts with export mode TRANSPORTABLE

Hi,
We are trying to import transportable tablespaces and are getting an error "import mode FULL conflicts with export mode TRANSPORTABLE. This is the second time we've seen it, the common thread seems to be that it only shows up with the remap_schema qualifier (the example below is with ASM, but we have seen it also without ASM). Does anyone have any suggestions as to how this can be resolved?
Thanks,
Dan

  • Will 2 routers running in server mode with no vtp domain defined conflict with each other when connecting over layer 2 sonet?

Our remote site has a 3845 router running MPLS to connect back to our other 3845 locally. The ISP has provided us a layer 2 sonet connection with no other configurations necessary with the exception of configuring the layer 2 portion on our side. Both of these 3845 routers are in "server mode" with "no vtp domain" specified. Will this cause an issue/conflict when the remote router bypasses the MPLS for the faster 100MB layer 2 connection?

    Jon,
Excellent answer. Our two 3845 routers are about 400 miles away and we're trying to bring up a layer 2 100MB sonet connection over fiber connected to the GIG0/1 port on each router. I was worried that essentially having these 2 routers back to back over layer 2 may cause issues since our remote site has a higher revision number than our local site. It appears since we're configuring an ip address on each router and then adding the network to ospf this shouldn't conflict with our 2 routers. Below is how each router VTP is configured with the exception our remote site has 1 extra VLAN and a higher revision number.
    VTP Version                     : 2
    Configuration Revision          : 0
Maximum VLANs supported locally : 68

  • LR4: poor image quality import mode

Sorry if this has been posted or discussed previously....I am having trouble importing images as I have done in LR2 and LR3 in the import mode due to very poor (highly pixelated) images when i go from group view to loupe view. Despite my attempts to change my preferences and the file handling settings, everytime I start up LR4, go to import, select loupe view, the images are very small to start off, then when i attempt to use the zoom slider in the lower right hand corner, the images become larger - but poor quality - very pixelated. Any suggestions on how to correct this?
I'm sure there is an easy fix, and I am not a pro, but I've been using the same workflow to import my photos by selecting the ones I want to import using the loupe view and I cannot figure out how to get clear loupe view previews!
Thanks for any help you may offer!

    Hi Rikk,
Been reading about a fix to this issue where the preview mode gives a very noisy and dark picture in any ways but if I view it at 1:1.    I went through the post :
    22-Oct-2010 5:27 PM
Lightroom 3 Develop previews different from Loupe view?
Hoping to get a fix to this issue but my fanal conclusion was that this is the way the LR has been designed, not
    to over load the CPU.
    My setup:
    Intel I7
    32 gig ram
    Windows 7 64bit
ATI Radeon ??  latest video card
Asus PA246Q 24 Inch high gamma Lcd Monitor
    Canon D550D 18MP
    Shooting Raw (.cr2)
The picture that made me realize this issue
is a shot of a C-5 Galaxy (military transport) in a clear bleu sky shooted at
    ISO 100
Exposure is perfect to me, graph slightly to the right.
DPP (digital photo professional) shows a perfect picture with nice blue sky and sharp details around the cockpit
In LR, normal view, sky is dark and very noisy, details are terrible, purely unacceptable.
I was about to trash the shot
The workflow is very intensive to get the picture the way it actually appears in DPP.
Noise full right, Color balance had to be changed to make the picture appear ''normal''
    Shadow reduce to zero
    Drastic change in contrast....
To finally get something decent once developed, but still not as good as DPP once in .jpg format.
I've been a LR user since 1.1 and it's just now that I realize that all my shots might have been good from the start.
I'm an amateur aviation photographer and the shots I take are sometime unique and not to be seen again (Two P-38s flying in formation).
So it plenty worth spending 5 min. on each pictures.  Not surprising that I'm 3-4 year behind. 3000 shots in a single week-end is not uncommon.
The only way I can get some sort of a clear idea of the result is by magnifying the picture on 1:1.  Just then I can know if details have been lost and noise at an acceptable level.
This is not a problem to me, I need to magnify to observe all the details, but would be nice to have a clear picture of the final result when in the review module.
Anyhow, I've not subscribe to this forum to put all my trouble on the table.  It's just a deception.
Hope someone has a secret option to fix this inconvenient.
(sorry if you find some mistake in my post, English is not my native language)

  • Import All - Import Mode Preserved?

    Hello,
We are planning to use the import all option to do a mass transport from our test system to the QA system. Few questions:
We are aware that the import sequence will be preserved with the import all option. However, we are not sure if the import mode ("Overwrite Original") will also be preserved. Can some one clarify?
Do we need to import transport requests with different import modes separately (manually) or will the import all option take care of this also?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Reena

    Hi Reena,
The import mode ("Overwrite Original") will not be preserved. If you use mass import and click the mass import button, you will prompted with a screen named "start import" just like the one when using single import. You have three options to select:
Select All Requests for Later Import
        Overwrite Originals
        Overwrite objects in Unconfirmed Repairs
So you still have the chance to select "Overwrite Originals" import mode.
But it is not possible for you to select different import mode for every tranport request seperately. If you select one import mode, it will be active for all transport requests.
    With Best Regards
    Julia

  • Importing .mod files and posting them as .mov files on YouTube

I'm importing .mod files from my camcorder to iMovie directly. The videos play fine on iMovie. I then directly send them to YouTube (I believe as the QuickTime format .mov). The files import, but fail to process for viewing.
    Any suggestions?

First, do not worry, PrE7 has not harmed your files. It is just that it can only get to the Audio portion of those files, so that is all that it can display. They are still intact.
Now, with many file formats, and AVI in particular, much can be inside that file. This ARTICLE will give you some background.
With just the Audio coming through, my guess would be that the files are encoded using either DivX, or Xvid, as this is a very common problem. You can check this out with G-Spot, also mentioned in the linked article.
If the files play on your computer, then you likely have the necessary CODEC, unless you're using MediaPlayer Classic or VLC Player, as they have their own CODEC systems.
Steve's advice to convert these files is the best course of action. You may need to get the CODEC and install it (again, G-Spot will tell you exactly what you will need and if its installed on your computer). I do not know if Prizm has its own CODEC's but would assume that it uses those installed on the computer.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Changing Import Mode Without Preferences?

Is there any way to change the "import mode" for iTunes except for the Preferences window? My iTunes is currently set for AIFF import, and I'd like to chance to ACC (AAC?) or MP3, but opening (or actually, closing) the Preferences window causes Windows to crash on my computer. I've asked a separate question to try to resolve the crash issue, but in the meantime I'm wondering if there is any alternative route to changing the import preference.
    Thanks.

With itunes v8, you can change burning prefs on the fly, but not importing.

  • I need to know how best to import .mod files into elements 7

I need to know how best to import .mod files into elements 7

    lornamarieslade
Are you working with .mod standard or widescreen?
If .mod standard, less problematic. The file just might import without issue. Worst case would probably be changing the file extension from .mod to .mpg just prior to import.
Now .mod widescreen is another story that revolves around maintaining the 16:9 flag that scretches the video for display after encoding. Some have said that the 16:9 flag is lost in the transfer to computer; some say certain editors such as Premiere Elements just cannot read/recognize the flag. Whatever the case this is what you should consider in your Premiere Elements 7 Windows.
    a. If you need to rename the file extension from .mod to .mpg, do so prior to import.
    b. Import the .mod or .mpg counterpart into your Premiere Elements 7 project using the project preset NTSC or PAL DV Widescreen (NTSC or PAL depends on your location of interest). You will probably see that the video does not fill the space in the Edit Mode Monitor (you will probably see standard 4:3 looking image rather than widescreen 16:9 looking image).
    c. Right click the file in the Project media area, select Interpret Footage, and, in the Interpret Footage Dialog/Pixel Aspect Ratio section, dot the Conform To: and change the setting to
    D1/DV NTSC Widescreen 16:9 (1.2)
    or
    D1/DV PAL Widescreen 16:9 (1.422)
depending on your location of interest.
A while back there used to be a program called SD Copy that did the job of file name change and adding the 16:9 flag prior to import of the .mod widescreen into Premiere Elements. But, I have lost track of the SD Copy and suspect that is it no longer available. I have dealt with this issue many times at a forum that I formerly frequent. Most have reported back that this workaround worked for them. It is worth a try. I am looking forward to your results.
If you do opt to upgrade to Premiere Elements 11 Windows (please go tryout before purchase), I am eager to learn how your .mod widescreen is handled by version 11 in your computer environment.
    Thanks.
    ATR
Add On...I just came across this download for SDCopy. It does not give the appearance of the original the link to which is broken. I have not downloaded and used the following since I do not have any .mod widescreen. So, no guarantees. Please let us know the outcome if you try it if Interpret Footage does not work for you.

  • How do you make Aperture not default to Import mode upon start?

I leave my iPhone plugged in to my Mac most of the time. Consequently, Aperture always starts up in Import Mode. Does anyone know how to turn this off?
    Thanks,
    Ben

Yeah, I see that setting. It's also duplicated in Image Capture. And setting it to "No Application" doesn't seem to matter. If the iPhone is plugged in before Aperture starts, Aperture launches import mode every time. Poop!

  • (Administration - Marketing - Import), you can set a parameter value "Import mode" for what to do in case of duplication as "update existing records", "Import new records". The final report of this import is presented as a text file that can be viewed in

Administration - Marketing -> Import, you can set a parameter value "Import mode" for what to do in case of duplication as "update existing records", "Import new records". The final report of this import is presented as a text file that can be viewed in Business Administration - Marketing -> Import -> Exceptions. Whatever the exception, including duplication import occurs during import and recorded in a text file.   What are the fields that determine the duplicity? How I can I can change those?

You will be returned anything that is in the option's value parameter. What is displayed in the dropdown and what is put in the value attribute do NOT need to be the same, so maybe you should start there.

  • How to avoid Aperture botting into import-mode at every iPhone dock/sync

Everytime I put my iPhone into the dock, Aperture boots and goes into import mode.
If at least Aperture would check for only NEW photos, this could be ok, but as it completely ignores old/new fotos (already imported or not), I'd really like Aperture NOT to boot at every sync.
Can I avoid this behavior ? iPhoto, for instance, doesn't start up everytime I dock the iPhone?

Its not a perfect solution but what I did - to the same problem - was to go into Aperture , Preferences , and select "when a camera is connected, open: No application". At least it stops Aperture from opening each time I put the IPhone into the dock.

  • Iphoto is stuck in IMPORT mode and will not QUIT!

iphoto is stuck in IMPORT mode and will not QUIT!
please let me know what to do
    the iphoto version is 5.0.1

    Hi ambrosia,
i am afraid that if you force quit right now you will run into problems opening your library when you next try.
If it is at all possible (an I don't even know if this will work while iPhoto is running) open a finder window and navigate to the iPhoto Library folder.
Highlight the folder and hit Command D to duplicate the folder. I am hoping you can do this before any changes are made to the data files that might corrupt them when you force quit iPhoto.
Once you have the duplicate library, then you can see if you can Force quit iPhoto. You can do this if you see the "force quit" option when you click and hold on the iPhoto icon in the dock. You can also launch Activity Monitor and find iPhoto in the window and choose to force quit it from there.
What kind of camera do you have and how many images and or video clips are you trying to download. Sometimes iPhoto gets stuck on very large video clips and eventually they will download.

Old EXP IMP doesnt have capability to append the row, since you're using 10g use datapump instead. use option TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION=APPENDso my import should be like this
    imp "'/ as sysdba'" file=Table1_1006.dmp fromuser=user1 touser=user1 tables=Table1 log=imp_Table1_1006.log TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION=APPEND
Did you look up the command line syntax and control options for imp?
You should make it a habit that whenever anyone - especially a stranger on the web - gives you a bit of code or references a command or init parm or any some such, the VERY FIRST thin you should ALWAYS do is look it up for yourself and see exactly where and how it is used and what it means. That is how you grow beyond having to be spoon fed every little thing and become more self-sufficient.
If you had, you would have seen that there is no TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION option for imp and seen that it is an option for impdp. And realized that exp and imp are NOT the same thing as expdp and impdp.

Learning how to look things up in the documentation is time well spent investing in your career. To that end, you should drop everything else you are doing and do the following:
    Go to tahiti.oracle.com.
Drill down to your product and version.
    <b><i><u>BOOKMARK THAT LOCATION</u></i></b>
Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what is available here. Take special note of the "books" and "search" tabs. Under the "books" tab you will find the complete documentation library.
Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what <b><i><u>kind</u></i></b> of documentation is available there by simply browsing the titles under the "Books" tab.
Open the Reference Manual and spend a few minutes looking through the table of contents to get familiar with what <b><i><u>kind</u></i></b> of information is available there.
Do the same with the SQL Reference Manual.
Do the same with the Utilities manual.
You don't have to read the above in depth. They are <b><i><u>reference</b></i></u> manuals. Just get familiar with <b><i><u>what</b></i></u> is there to <b><i><u>be</b></i></u> referenced. Ninety percent of the questions asked on this forum can be answered in less than 5 minutes by simply searching one of the above manuals.
Then set yourself a plan to dig deeper.
    - Read a chapter a day from the Concepts Manual.
    - Take a look in your alert log. One of the first things listed at startup is the initialization parms with non-default values. Read up on each one of them (listed in your alert log) in the Reference Manual.
    - Take a look at your listener.ora, tnsnames.ora, and sqlnet.ora files. Go to the Network Administrators manual and read up on everything you see in those files.
    - When you have finished reading the Concepts Manual, do it again.
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.
