In- House Cash Management

As per Best Practice IHC can be used for External and Internal payments and the scenario can be a mix between centralized payments and Decentralized payments -
My question is If we had to set up IHC center at an SAP instance which is not the Corporate Head office and the business requirement is to be able to carry out the intercompany clearing process using IHC. Can this requirement be met if IHC center is established at a different regional level (Other than the corporate)
Can some one help me on this
Thanks

Hi,
By regional IHC, I meant the company code which is going to send and receive the payment.  Though it is the general practice, in some cases or for large multinationals, the corporate headquarters is not the only one which makes and receives the payment.  So for those cases, there is a IHC at every region which would make and receive the payment catering to these IHCs.  So for those cases, the central entity in that region is assigned to that IHC center.
If you want the IHC center data, it is just like another bank for it to flow to cash management.  But in case, if it is in a separate instance, the data has to be sent from the regional center to the headquarters system for it to reflect in cash and liquidity management.  For that you have to make settings for distributed cash management to send and receive the data.

  • In House Cash vs Cash Management,

    Gurus,
Our company currently uses In House Cash for divisional purposes. Cash Management is currently being rolled out to the divisions. In House cash is currently a treasury function. would it make sense to have Cash Management as a centralized treasury function or one centrally managed outside. Either way, please provide guidance.
    regards

    Hi,
Cash management is just a reporting tool.  In my opinion it should be a centralized treasury function and updation of cash management records/tables will happen from all modules linked to it, whenever related transaction takes place in the system.  This doesn't need a special funtional group.

    Hi,
Well, you have almost done the required configurtion for cash management.  Cash management is about reports on cash position & liquidity forecast which is integrated with GL, AP, AR and as well as Treasury (Transaction Manager).  Once you have complemeted configuration you need to assign relevant planning levels and planning groups to GL, vendor, customer master data which will help you to pull reports on cash position & liquidity forecast.
Regarding treasury I suggest you to come up with your specific requirement to enable someone guide you precisely, though it is not possible to give all the detailed steps in this forum.  To throw more light on it, you are required to analise the client requirement on areas like, what kind of financial instruments they are dealing with (securities, money market, derivatives, loans, etc.) which can be integrated with cash management/liquidity forecast.  If you are talking about treasury & risk manager (transaction manager) the configuration is under FSCM (financial supply chain management) in ECC 6.0.  In previous versions it is part of CFM (Corporate Finance Management).
    Hope this will help you.

  • In-House Cash current account check processed by Partner Type = GP

    Hi,
We configured our IHC system so that the PAYEXT the IHC system receives are processed by Partner Profile-Partner Type = GP = Business partner.
In this we like to control that the current account send by the Payer  = Business partner matches the entries in table IHC_TAB_APM_TT ( IMG : In House Cash - Account Management - Payment Processes in In House Cash - Define Transaction Type for Automatic Payments).
If no match is found the IDOC should error.
Hope somebody could advise on this.

    Hi Siva,
As far as I know, a Java program will not allow a secure page to load without the certificate on client side (i mean u cannot even load even https://sdn.sap.com without its certificate). So, please check the certificates on the xi server present on the web server (https).

  • BCM and In-House Cash

    Hi all,
I'm using F110 for 2 types of payments:
    1) "Normal" external AP payments using DMEE to generate payment media.
    2) In-House Cash internal payments using RFFOEDI1 to generate iDOCs for the IHC process.
Ideally, all payments should be sent to BCM for approval - to do this I've added a * to OBPM5 which activates BCM for all payment runs made by F110.
However, when I run the In-House Cash payment run the batch does not appear in BNK_APP for approval.  It also doesn't appear in BNK_MONI or BNK_MONIP.
The run does appear in report RBNK_RULID_EVALUATE with green status and assignment to the correct BCM rule.
It also appears in FBPM1 with green status and has been given a "Payment Medium Run ID" but no iDOCs are generated.
The problem is that, if I exclude the IHC payments from BCM, there is a risk that a user could use the excluded payment run ID for external payments, meaning that the payment media would be created without approval in BCM.
Is there a standard solution for this problem? It seems to me that SAP needs to add support for RFFOEDI1 in BCM or enable IHC to use the DMEE.
    Cheers,
    Jack

    Hi Jack
BCM bank communication managment module only works with PMW, and not with IDOCs using RFFOEDI1. That is the reason why IHC payment does not appear in BNK_MONI
BCN is meant to manage the interconnection between SAP and external banks so i do not see much point in havving BCM batches created for Internal payment from subsidiaries to IHC.
As regards the payment run ID between internal and BCM, could you not implement user exit/BTE to validate against the payment method?
    Hope that this helps.
    Kind regards
    taro

  • In House Cash - W25

    Dear All
We want to integrate FI ( T-code F110 ) with Banks. But the document "W25: In-House Cash" is explaining some T-codes which are not available in 4.6C. Like some of the T-Codes listed below are not available in 4.6C version.
IMG - Path --> Financial Supply Chain Management In-House Cash Master Data Conditions Set Up Conditions Areas
    BP
    F98B
    F98E
    F985
    F9B1
    F9K1
Is there any alternative for these transactions or can we implement F110 integration using IDOC in 4.6C

    Hi
Not quite if I fully understand what you want to do - but if you are asking if you can use F110 for your payments to external banks - without using the transaction codes you refer - then yes. That payment file can then be generated in the Idoc format: PAYEXT - and your integration tool can then transform to whetever format your banks require.
If you are asking to use the F110 to your In house cash bank, then you need to activate that module - and the transaction codes on some settings are different in the old version. So for example create business partner (BP) is called: BPC1. You then just need to find the old transaction codes and then set that up.
    Hope that helped you

  • In-house Cash functionality implementation

    Hi SAP Gurus,
We are planning to the implement the SAP-FSCM-"In-house cash" functionality in our Group of Companies.  Can you please update me the implications of this functionality, what is the  the impact of existing normal SAP FICO environment.  What configuration changes are needed for this change? What are the changes will happen in the  Accounting entries posting  in this regard.
    Regards
    appalas

    Hi !
Since you you have asked everything in one question so I would not be able to answer all but the below ...
Affected Area would be as follows :
    1. BTE ( Business Transaction Events ) settings  ( for more check ... http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/BTE'S )
    2.  You may need to deactivate BCA ( Bank Customer Accounts ) and activate IHC ( In House Cash )
    3. The section on payment processes in In-House Cash also contain the FI settings of the In-House Cash Center
    4. Also affected are the bank area-specific settings (for information on the term bank area, refer to Basic settings -> Bank area). Settings proposed for In-House Cash can be found in the bank area IHC.
    5. Alogwith the above IMG - Settings, you also need to check - ALE functions (Application Link Enabling). Which are used to link the systems of the affiliated companies...
For, settings check,  Basis -> Application Link Enabling (ALE) area..
    (a) Use mesage category PAYEXT with basis type PEXR2002 to send payment orders
For Inbound Processing, transaction Code - ( i ) PEXN for payment orders from participating affiliates to the In-House Cash Center or for cross-bank-area payment orders between two In-House Cash Centers ( ii )PEXC for external payment orders from an In-House Cash Center to a participating FI system and (iii ) PEXC_PI if connected to FI via plug-in
( b) Use message Category FINSTA with basis type FINSTA01 and transaction code FINS as input parameter,
for a bank statement from the In-House Cash Center to the affiliated companies.
    6. For Connection of Fi GL to In house Cash Center, refer ( +/- sign postings / General ledger transfer / Name check. These settings are relevant for the IHC general ledger transfer ( Under IMG-FSCM-IH- basic settings - Basic Settings Posting ) node.
    7. You can Create Business Partners - Through Cross-application components -> Central Business Partner .
Note, Business Partner, manages data such as name, address and bank details.
    8. Also, IMG of the FI system needs to follow the below for Affiliated Companies..
Bank Accounting -> Bank accounts -> Define house banks Store the In-House Cash Center as main (house) bank
(ii)Accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting -> Business transactions -> Outgoing payments -> Automatic outgoing payments -> Payment method / bank selection for payment program. Here you need to set the payment methods.
I hope, the above areas needs to be taken care for implementing IHC at the same time please be guided by the below site for a very good example.. ( http://help.sap.com/bp_bblibrary/500/html/W25_EN_DE.htm  ) which contains a very good case study FSCM In-House Cash.

  • In house cash

    hi all,
    1) what is in house cash?
    2) same as in house cheque?
    thanks

    hi Eliana
    1. One way to zero balance a bank account is the following: It doesn't matter, if there is a bank account internally in IHC or an external bank account.
The subsidiary should acitvate the cash concentration within Cash Management. By running this process, the system generates Payment Request with the amount to transfer. The Subs has to execute F111 to send the payment order to the own external bank of the sub. In the Headoffice, this amount is recognized as a incoming payment for a sub.
Normally, the Headoffice is not allowed to collect money within external bank accounts from the subs.
    2. If the account balance in IHC is 4 Mio USD, is it allowed to pay 1 Mio USD out of this account? What's the impact, if there is a balance of - 3 Mio USD and the sub would like to pay 1 Mio USD out of the account? You should activate the limits of the account to fit your requirement.
Additional comment: Why would you like to pay 1Mio USD over IHC, when the HQ expect the real cashflow from the sub's external bank on the same day? Keep it simple, the sub should pay the 1 Mio out of IHC.
Additionally, why would you like to zero balancing at the end of the month? IHC is for the subs like an external bank. It's on the responsibility of the Sub to decide, with which bank - external or internal (IHC) they should choose to deal with. The HQ should offer a service better to the external banks, so that they receive most of the internal money "inhouse"...

  • Cash Management - Open interface - raise error

in Cash Management - Bank Reconciliation, Open interface,
    APPS.CE_999_PKG.clear
    and
    APPS.CE_999_PKG.unclear
i would like to check and if meet certain condition, i would like to raise error/exception, so that the Reconcile or UnReconcile can not proceed, how can I do that?
i try to do a plsql 'raise exception', in ebs screen, show
'FRM-40734: Internal Error: PL/SQl error occurred.'
anyway to show the error msg in a popup msg box and/or display with more meaningful error message?

    Hi Brian,
This is because, one payment/receipt cannot be shared by more than one bank statement line. This is why once payment/receipt is reconciled against a bank statement line, you can view this transaction only from reconciled screen.

  • Issue in PS Cash Management Planned payment coming from SD billing plan

    Issue in PS Cash Management:
Coming from my sales order (SD billing plan), I get cash management lines item in PS ==> table COFP (Document Lines (project cash management)) with value type 62 (Planned Payments).
Then I invoice the WBS element with VF01. During invoicing, the system creates new line items in COFP with value type 54 (Invoices).
    Issue
The problem is that planned payment (value type 62) is not reduced and whatever the invoice is, planned payment are the same.
From my understanding, new lines item should have been created with negative sign in order to reduce planned payment amount. Like invoices are reduce when payment is done.
    Who can you confirm?
    What are your feeling?
    Thanks in advance

    Helo,
Regular setting for PS cash management have been done such as:
    - FM area creation
    - Assignment Fiscal Year variant to FM area
    - Activate PS cash management
Once the setting is correctly done, we can follow incoming & outcoming payment on project.
    Table COFP is then impacted.

  • Cash Management

    Hello All,
Would appreciate guidance wrt implementation of Cash Management.
We would be using LSMW for update our Master data with the Planning Groups / levels.
However, not aware of the Cash Management Implementation Tool and it's associated problems.
Our understanding of FDFD is (execute the following):
    - Activate Company Code,
    - Data setup - We don't intend using any of those expect FI-GL, FI-AR & FI-AP
    - Data Reconciliation - do we need this ? What parameters; only main Bank accounts?
    - Data Correction - do we need this ? when, only if there are errors
    - Customising - ok
    - Cust / Vend Data - not using this program, any impact?
The above is being implemented in ECC 6.environment (with FI being used). A heads up on the above would be highly appreciated, Thanking you in anticipation,
    Regards, Raj

    Hi,
Please go through the following documentation:
    Report for Dynpro: SAPMFFD1
    Description
Transaction FDFD was developed mainly as a tool to support
implementation of the cash management and forecast (CM&F). You can
activate the CM&F update for company codes; table settings are checked
as you do so. The planning groups needed for the CM&F updates can be
entered in vendor and customer master records, making partial/complete
reconstruction of the totals records easier.
The program consiss of five subareas which can be reached by means of
status buttons: 1. Activate company code
                        2. Vendor/customer data
                        3. Data setup
                        4. Data reconciliation
                        5. Data correction
    1.) Activate company code
When you activate a company code for CM&F, this makes it possible to
update planning data in money transactions relevant to planning. There
is a further indicator for the update from each of MM and SD which you
must set if you want the data from those areas to be passed to CM&F.
When you activate, all the table settings are check and, where
      necessary, carried out.
    2.) Vendor/customer data
You can use this function to include planning groups in the vendor/
customer master records. These planning groups are a necessary criterion
for recording open items in CM&F.
The lines in the table represent selection criteria for the various
groups. The logic used is as follows:
The priorities merely assign rankings. Priority 1 is the highest. The
system checks this criterion first. If the vendor/customer satisfies
this criterion, the group for this record is entered into the master
      record.
      Example :
Prio. Ctry Frm pymt trm To pymt term Dunn. Pymt mtd       Group        Pymt hist.
       1    US    ZB01              ZB05       0001    U             E1             X
       2    US                                                                       E2
       3                                                                                 OTHER
Vendors/customers who satisfy the criteria in line 1 are assigned
planning group E1 and the flag for recording the payment history is set.
All other customers in the US receive group 2; foreign customers are
    assigned group "OTHER":
To ensure that every master record is assigned a planning group, you
should always specify at least one structure (with lowest priority)
which a vendor/customer fits if no other is suitable.
You can use the "Check" button to determine the number of master records
to which no group has yet been assigned.
Use the menu option "Download/upload" menu option to store the selection
criteria locally and import them again later.
    ) Data Setup
In data setup, you can copy documents and open items, along with plan
records and account balances, already in the system into CM&F.
Here, you can stipulate whether the data setup should cover the data
from SD and MM, along with agency business or data from Treasury
    Management.
You run the transfer programs as background jobs, for which you can
enter a scheduled date and time. We recommend you schedule the job to
run at night because postings made during the data setup may lead to
    data inconsistencies in CM&F.
Note that the first step in the data setup deletes all the planning
    data.
In the case of data from manual planning (plan items, payment advice
notes), the system generates a special query because this data cannot be
retrieved once deleted. If you want to retain this data, answer "No" to
    the query.
    ) Data Reconciliation
A program is available to level the CM&F data which you can schedule
from here as a batch job. For more information, see the program
    documentation.
    ) Data Correction
If a data inconsistency occures between CM&F and the actual data, you
can use this option to avoid having to reconstruct all the data. The
reconstruction can be limited, depending on where the inconsistency
originated. For more information, see the program documentation.
    If useful, assign points.
    Thanks

    Hi Lucy,
The error is probably due to one of the reasons:
    1. There is no file in the location: /software/d01/oracle/interface/finance/inbound/email.9Nemail.13111507.3445704.cnv.
    2. No permission on the file respective file.

Does anyone know how Cash Management flags GL Journal Lines and CE Open Interface payments from external systems, as being no longer available for reconciliation after they have been reconciled? I have looked at the GL_JE_Lines and CE_999_INTERFACE_V tables, but I can't see any column being used for this purpose.

    Hi Brian,
This is because, one payment/receipt cannot be shared by more than one bank statement line. This is why once payment/receipt is reconciled against a bank statement line, you can view this transaction only from reconciled screen.

  • Cash Management Report FF7B - drill-down from planning levels to AP/AR OIs

    Hi
I'm configuring cash management and have created all planning levels and groups needed.
All master data, ie GL accounts, vendors and customers, have the correct planning level or group.
I've created all the groupings etc that I need.
I'm running the reports FF7A and FF7B. I have two questions and problems.
    1. When running the Liquidity Forecsat for customers and vendors I drill-down to the standard PL or SL planning levels for AP and AR postings respectively. Then I drill into the planning groups correctly  (E1-E9 and R1-R8). But when I try to drill into the cash management detail records  (or is it the AP/AR line items?) I get "Memo Records: List - List Contains No Data". This happens every time. Should I now see the AP or AP line items? Or should I see some cash management memo records? I have deleted all the cash management data several times and recreated but I still get this problem  (using reports RFFDDL00 and RFFDKU00)
When I do the same for purchase orders, purchase requisitions or sales orders I see a Memo Records List which agrees with the previous planning level total and I can then drill into the actiual POs, PRs or SOs from this list without an issue.
    2. When running the Cash Position and I do the drill-down to the GL Line Items, I get an enormous list which does not just show the total of items at the previous planning level. Why is this please? Example: a bank account with a balance of £2,000  (shown on the panning level) but with 000's of line items totalling say £5m. Again I have deleted the CM data and recreated but without any improvement to the problem.
Any help anyone can give me with these issues will be very much appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Wayne
