What is the significance of lot size dependent in-house time and the lot size independent in-house production time , when and where each of this time will be used .

In house time in MRP 2 view if you keep then at the time MRP run system consider this time for scheduling planned order . Suppose your requirement is on dated 30.03.2010 & in house time 5 days given in material master.them after MRP run system will show you
planned order starts from 26.03.2010 ( In MRP 2 view also GR processing time if you keep here 1 days then system will add this time also in planned order .
Lot size if you keep FX lot size is suppose 200 Kg & requirement given in MD61 for this month is 1000 KG
Then at the time of MRP run system will create 5 planned orders for this 1000 Kg requirement.
Manuaal process order cretion system will prapose order qty 200 kg here.
If you keep EX -lot for lot order then in that case system will create only 1 planned order of 1000 KG ( In this case in manual creating process order system will not prapose here order qty )

How can we separate the 2 different in- house prod. days for this specific material? Could we setup in the production version? if not, could you give us an advice.

Dear Mamelli,
1.You cannot maintain the in-house production time in the production version.
2.In-house production time in days can be maintained in MRP2 view.
3.If Lead time scheduling is carried out at the time of MRP run then the system uses the in-house time for the calcualtion onf basic
start and end dates.Based on the routing data the system proposes the production start and end time.
4.Generally exception messages 64 Production finish after order finish
63 Production start before order start are shown after MRP run.
5.If basic scheduling is carried out then the system proposes only the basic dates.

Need Automatic Lead-time scheduling in Planned Order using MD11

All,
Our users have a requirement that when they create a planned order using MD11, they would like system to do automatic lead-time scheduling based on the "basic finish date" entered by the user. Currently the system is taking 3 days from the in-house time maintained in material master to calculate the basic start date. But users want to use the 100 days that have been maintained in the routing.
Currently users have to click on "manual scheduling" on the planned order for system to pick up 100 days from routing which is an additional step for the users. Hence users want an automatic way in which system would do lead-time schedule when they enter the basic finish date.

In my understanding it is the standard SAP behaviour even if you have made the necessary settings in OPU5 for the planned
order type.
If my understanding is correct, then as per this setting the MRP behaves for the particular plant and order type combination.
Whenever you create a planned order manually you have to do a detailed scheduling and then you get the production dates
for the planned order.(This might be because generally when a planned order is converted into production order the system
carries out a lead time scheduling.- Check the same and correct me if I'm wrong)
Even if you update the material master through CA97,you will not get the detailed scheduling done along with the production
dates.So you have to perform this manual activity during MD11.
What is the reason of setting the in-house production time as 3 days,if the exact production time is going to be more?

Goods receiving

All,
I'm looking for a Goods Receiving process that allows the receipt of multiple lines on a single PO. Currently we are using the FM 'BBP_CF_AUTOMATIC' which handles one line at a time and it seems when this is put in a loop the PO on the back end is locked due to being called for the previous line item. This results in only some line items being received.
Is there a different FM perhaps BBP_goodsmvt_create that can manage multiple line items at a time? Or any suggestions on how to use BBP_CF_AUTOMATIC so that it will allow us to receive all line items needed?

For example in the outbound delivery the following goods receiving hours are recorded:
14 jan 2008 (Monday)
Morning from 08:00 till 11:00 and
afternoon from 13:00 till 16:00.
SAP calculates in the delivery the earliest delivery time, in this case 08:00 on monday 14 jan 2008, which is places in the EDT13 segment. In our case we also need to send whole goods receiving hous time frame. This can be done in the EDT13 segment or a extra added segment (like EDT13) to the IDOC?

This Optical Drive is Crazy

My optical drive is going bad...I think. I can no longer burn movies. Brand new blank (high quality) media is not recognized when I try to burn. Every archived photo CD -- will not be read. When I put the Apple Install CD's in -- it can read that. It seems to be able to play a DVD. But everything I read seems to indicate this Matshita drive is crap.
Well, at least I have Apple Care, right? Right. But they want me to mail my laptop in to them. Mail my entire laptop in to God knows where??? Or take it to a store and they will MAIL it off for repair. I cannot be without a computer. I would be out of business. And do I really want all of my personal, business and client information to be floating around -- again -- God knows where.
If I had a Dell, they would come in one day and repair it on-site. I am so angry. I have been a Mac owner for over 20 years, and this type of customer service is why I will probably buy a Dell next time around.
Any thoughts, help, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

LOL. Um, we manage over 600 systems, about 45% are Apple the rest run Windows and a good number of them are Dell. We have both Apple and Dell servers. Nobody is saying that they are perfect. I have far fewer problems calling for support with Apple than I do Dell or HP. If your whole point was just to rant about service and not solve a problem.. then this is not the place for such a discussion.

PP order date issue

Hi PP Gurus,
Iam creating production order via T-code CO01 and have 3 operation in the production order. In the routing the leadtimes in maintained for each operation like 15 days.The schedule type is forward scheduling.
When i create production order the order scheduled date is calculating accroding to the lead time maintained in the routing. But the finish date is always one day difference from the scheduled date.
If i create production via MD04 system will consider the plan in house time in the MRP view 2 and calculate the basic finish date but we are creating manaully.
Pl advice why this one day difference

Hi,
The production order scheduled finish date is 28.07.2008 Time is 04:00 and the Basic finish date is 29.07.2008 Time is 00:00.
These both dates are same.
Because 28.07.2008 finishing time is 04:00. From 04:00 to 24:00 time is available in 28.07.08. But system can not use this time. If you want to use this time manually you have to adjust capacity by CM21.
Basic finish date is 29.07.2008 Time 00:00 is equal to 28.07.08 time 24:00

Need help with the averages

Hi All,
Finally i found a solution. a) I have a time dim from the ware house and its joined to the fact table based on the dateid, since the fact table is getting only the data for the working days , the ware house time dim is showing only those days as count.
b) I created a new time dim in SSAS TIMEDIMSSAS
c) I joined the new TIMEDIMSSAS to the warehouse time dimension and the fact table and created new measure AvgWorkDone over time and Avg Rev over time.
I'm getting what i wanted. BUT here is a new problem , when i select multiple months the grand total (which should be Average is showing wrong average and i'm not sure why), can anyone please help ?

The values were supposed to be (1.59+.97+9.52)/3=4.02 and NOT 4.17 for Revenue. Similarly for WorkDone (105.79+64.66+634.55)/3=268.33 and NOT 277.68
Please can some one suggest what is going wrong here?

According to your description, you get incorrect result when calculating the average value. Right?
In this scenario, please check expression in each calculated measure. Make sure the set expression and numeric expression are correct. You can also limit the SCOPE for set to make the calculation more accurate. Please refer to link below:

Since both measure return a slight bigger number, it may have some members which is not visible and they are aggregated unexpectedly. And it seems the values in the cells for different months are from aggregation calculation already. It may cause slight
inaccurate when aggregating an aggregated values. So please check all those calculated measure. If possible, please share sample detail data and the expression for calculated measures.

Scheduling Prod.order

Hi Experts,
Can anybody please tell me.

In house prod. time - 2 days ( MRP 2 views )
There is no maintain any set,teardown,processing time in Routing.
I created two prod.order. for quntity 1 & 200.Where I got following dates.
Basic finish date - 10.03.2009
Basic start date - 06.03.2009
Why dates are common for 1 & 200 quantity. It should have take more days for 200 quantity.

SMK - 1 1 1 it is independent to the order quantity. In house production time from materail master is also lot size independent.
While create the production order system take the timing from the routing so machine time only get multiplied by order quantity as it is lot size dpendent on that basis system define the scheduling date.
House production time in MRP 2 use when we run the MRP on basic date scheduling. It is also consider for claculting the lead time.
If you want lot time dependent in house time then you need to schedule the routing and update the material master through CA96. Then you will get in house time in work scheduling view.

10.6.4 update - external HD dead

Did the 10.6.4 upgrade (backed up to Time Machine before doing so) - on last generation 15" Macbook Pro.
After the upgrade tried to access external USB Hardrive (that houses Time Machine) - newish little 500gb LaCie - but the drive won't show up at all.
Tells me "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" and it needs Initializing when I plug in the SUB cable or start up with it plugged in.
Disk Utiliy can't see it.
Repaired permissions etc. on the Macbook
Still nothing
Any suggestions?
(I've hunted through a bunch of the 10.6.4 issues and done some searches on here - but so many posts - couldn't find anything)

Zap the Pram after powering down and disconnecting the HD. Boot normally, hook up the HD, and see if that fixes the issue. If not, see what LaCie says.

Need Help with the Total and Grand Total

I have posted a question couple of days ago regarding the COUNT and AVERAGES, for a minute i thought i got the work around, but the problem still exists. I'm trying to find the average work done and average revenue generated. I have to do this by the location,
employee id , date and the number of hours. Below is a sample for february 2014. I have two averages for the work done AvgWorkDone=(sum of work done/count of workingdays in month), the second one is AverageWorkDone1... which i skewed by multiplying by 16 (since
there are 16 hours in my data per day) Please need help

If you see the above report the number of days are adding upto 368, this causes the Individual Averages to be fine but the GrandToatl of the Average is messed up. If i multiply by 16 the Individual Averages are messed up, but the GrandAverage is coming RIGHT.
Please need help where i can get both the individual and the grand averages right.

Goods receiving hours in DESADV DELVRY03 message

Is it possible to send the goods receiving hours in the outbound delivery with the IDOC DESADV/DELVRY03?
SAP places date and time in the EDT13-segment of the IDOC but we need the whole time frame on the delivery date to inform the logistics service provider.

Something kicks me off the internet

If I plug the printer (HP Deskjet D2545) into the computer, the computer says there arn't any networks available. I am on a wireless Comcast connection. No problem if I do not connect the printer cable into the USB port. As soon as I plug in and print anything the computer kicks me off the internet and gives me the no networks available message. We winter in FLA and we didn't have any problem at all with Bright House (Time Warner). Left it plugged in the entire 3 months and no problem at all.

I have the same problem every once in a while, but when I'm playing xbox online and my wife fires up her notebook, or when someone calls me and I pick up on a curdles 2.4 gig. phone. For a while the problem was the notebook was grabbing the IP address of by xbox, I had my wife turn down the power of her output signal and that helped.

I just had to reformat the external hard drive that houses my iPhoto library, then restore it from a backup. Now Time Machine is telling me my backup hard drive suddenly does not have the space to complete a backup. I also noticed when I go in to Time Mac

I am not quite ready to restore the full iphoto library , as I have days of work re - imputting titles,descriptions and enhancement . I hope that your suggestion works , as I use my Macbook basically to work with digital photography. Through time , I will need to delete my library to recover more disc space and I would hate to have to spend more time re - imputting titles and descriptions all over again .

Physical location has no bearing on anything, since you're also moving your network and all other devices. Just plug everything in and it should work just as it did before.

I am in Australia and the ISP... I think both the main ones would fit your description to a T.. big T in particular.
Your router is really unsuitable.. if it is only wireless and no ethernet.. just buy an ethernet one.
Do a search on ebay.. 3g router.
But you can get the TC to join a wireless network.
It is a non-standard setup that Apple will not support.. the option is hidden.
If you are on Lion download the 5.6 utility. Go to the wireless set up page and hold down the option key whilst selecting wireless mode.. a new option, join will appear. You can then put in the ssid and passkey of the 3g router.
But please note the end result of this setup..
very slow speed. The TC is now a second wireless hop from your clients.. this will halve the speed.
In this mode the ethernet are deactived.. for reasons only Apple know, they decided you should not use ethernet when doing this.
