In the download window, if the download is not very recent or has already been opened before, I can't open it.

I CAN'T OPEN MOST OF THE DOWNLOADS IN THE FireFox DOWNLOAD LIST, IF I DOUBLE CLICK, NOTHING HAPPENS, IF I RIGHT CLICK, I SEE THAT THE "OPEN" BUTTON IS GRAYED OUT. "OPEN CONTAINING FOLDER" BUTTON IS ALSO GRAYED OUT, AND SOMETIMES, EVEN THE "OPEN THE DOWNLOAD PAGE" BUTTON IS GRAYED OUT. Seems to happen if the download is older than a day or two, and also seems to happen if I had previosly opened the same download (as if you can open a download only once).

Thanks for the answer, Cor-el. I was aware of this but since I didn't find the un-openable downloads in my antivirus quarantined files, I was wondering if they might be somewhere else. I don't have cleanup software, (to the best of my knowledge). Also it's strange that all of my downloads are always available right after download, (that is, the open button grays out only if the file is older than a day or two, and also seems to happen if I had previosly opened the same download (as if you can open a download only once).

The message is correct. You can only register a product once... there is no need to register again after you do it the first time. You can re-install and activate with the serial number, but there is no need to re-register.

I just bought an iphone and created an apple id. When I entered my credit card number, I also put in the number of the itunes card that i bought. Now, when I go to buy music from the itunes store, it says my card has already been redeemed. What can I do?

Thanks for your advice, I went to the apple shop today for a face to face meeting with a tech and he checked everything and could not figure out why I was having this problem so we decided to give up on that account and create a whole new one for me using a different email address.
Now I can download apps on both my iPhone and ipad2.
If anyone is reading this in Brisbane Australia go to the Chermside apple shop and ask for Wade. He was fantastic!

Can't download to a new computer? Getting message this code has already been redeemed.

I switched to a new laptop and when I tried to redownload creative cloud I was unable to get my full version back. When I try to redeem and download I get an error message. The most it let me do was run a 30 day trial for each program to get by. This worked fine on my old computer- I have a full subscription to Creative Cloud that was complementary of my design school and includes all features in their full versions.

No, it's not currently possible to transfer a redeemed card to a different account, and you also won't be able to use it to gift content to the newer account (you can only gift via a credit card) - so the amount will remain linked to that old account

I hate the new downloads-in-a-tab scheme. This was an unnecessary change in my book (if it aint broke, don't "fix it").
So in order to get it back, I performed the about:config browser.download.useToolkitUI change, but now all I get is a blank download window that pops up every time I download something.
Is there something else that I need to do? I've checked the change and it was saved, but it didn't resolve my issue as much as it just caused me a new issue.

Get the physical copy (disk) this will enable you to reinstall when (not if ) it messes up.
Make sure to purchase acopy that is compatible with your OSX

Did you try to open teh fle by double-clicking its icon? If the file was made with an older version of Office, you may get that message. Try opeing PP and, from its "File" menu, see if you can open the ppt. I've foundthat often gets around that message and then yo ucan save the file from the newer version.

A much simpler solution would be to go into Settings > Store and turn off Automatic Downloads

Just to make sure, open Mac App Store and click Purchases. Can you pause the download and restart it?
