Incorrect Result of Material Availability in production order

Hi gurus,
we have a problem with material availability in production order CO01. When my list of materials is checked OK with option availability material and I modify the quantity of some material. With this modification, e.g. quantity 99.999, the logical result of my material availability would be NO OK, but the system answers is OK. I think he material availability doesn't recalculate the availability.
I will reward with a lot of points!!!
Thank you
Dan

in the availability check screen of the prod order, find out the which check group is being called. and find out the scope of check,
then in the custmisation, change the setting of the scope of check.
Trx code OPJJ, deselect/select the indicator "check without RLT".  if there is tick in ur current system then uncheck it, it the tick is not there then tick it.
your issue will be solved.

  • Table names for Material Characteristic againgst production order

    Hi Guys,
Actually I have a problem in finding the table name for material characteristic against production order such as Individual length, factor, color, etc. I really spend more than a day to find this. But I cudn't make it. Finally I found the flow some how, but is working only for few cases. Here is the flow.
    AFKO(RSNUM) --> RESB(OBJNR) --> INOB(CUOBJ) --> AUSP(OBJEK).
    T-code: CO02 / Fast Entry tab / Change Configuration(Item Level) / Change Characteristic values.
Anybody knows about this. Please help me out on this. And please note that, it is not the material characteristic from MM01, it is against production order from CO02.
    Thanks
    Yasin.

    Hi Yasin,
The best way to know Table Names in SAP is to use a Transaction Code Called : SQL Trace. Tcode : ST05. This will tell you about all the database tables that have been accessed while the Transaction was executed. And then you do a complete analysis of it, what are all the Tables that have been accessed, the fields and the data transfered. So, it's a complete trace of the SQL Query but you can use the information as needed.
Have a look at the following Links:

The best things is that you can use it across any SAP Transaction as it is available in SAP NetWeaver .
    Hope this helps.

  • Get Material Descrition of Production Order

    Hi,
Could you tell me how to get material description of production order, I cannot found the field in table of AFKO and AFPO. Thanks.

    Dear Portfolio,
Inorder to get the Material Description, please follow the following steps:
    (1) Match AFPO-MATNR with MAKT-MATNR.
    (2) Get hold of MAKT-MAKTX (Material Description) filtering by SPRAS = 'EN'

  • WM Material Staging  for Production Order

    Hi,
In the process order txn Cor3, Go to > List > WM pick list>  the initial screen is  Display WM Material Staging  for Production Order. In the All parts tab, could you please help me on how to be able to populate the fields in the  BSI, Category and Storage Bin. Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Dear Ellen,
If you set the cursor on 'BSI' field and push F1 you'll get an explanation about the meaning of each category.
    '"<i>1" pick list item
This materials are picked according to the required quantity specified in the production order.
    '2': Crate or kanban parts
These materials are always removed from the warehouse in full cases. These can be ordered, for example, as soon as a case of needed parts is emptied in production.
    '3': Release order parts
Release order parts are scheduled individually and the quantities are supplied manually to replenishment storage bins based on the requirements of production orders and the stock levels in the scheduled production supply areas.
    "0" not relevant to WM-PP
These materials are not relevant for WM production supply and cannot be requested using the WM system.</i>'
    For instance:
You can set raw materials / SFG as pick parts if warehouse workers have to collect those parts from high racks (from different places) and they have to provide an exact qty for the PrdOrd.
We use '4' (manual staging) for huge alu rolls that are near the machine and WH workers have nothing to do with it - the operators, who deal with the machine, have to put the new rolls on it.
When we issue the PrdOrd the requirements of this material won't appear in LB10 since WH has nothing to do with them.
'Storage bin' filed will contain a value automatically, if your settings are proper.
E.g. you have to define the default 'stock removal' & 'stock placement' storage type on WM view of material master.
Additionally you have to define control cycles for materials you use for your production. (LPK1)
The control cycle says from which storage type & bin you want to consume the components.

  • Material Staging for Production Order

    Hi,
I am doing Material Staging against production Order using T Code MF60. We don't have WM setup in the enterprise structure so the Staging is done via IM Mvmt. Type 311. My problem is that the material document created using MF60 does not have a reference of Production order or vise versa. Can anyone suggest a configuration or a user exit that can be used to make a reference link between the Production Order and the Staging Document?
    Thanks
    Arvind

    Hi!,
Though whatever you are asking for is not possible with standard SAP but you can try this work around solution:
    Click on replenishment element.
Now in MF60  Menu > View > Table column > Select " All Column" (after clicking ).
Now system will show some open fields (like Goods recipient, unloading point etc) on replen. element.
There in one of the field like unloading point (which you are not using elsewhere) you can enter the production order number so when you stage the same that order number will be saved in that document and you can get it from RESB table against the reservation number.
To automate the same you can use some enhancement with above logic.
I hope this helps in resolving your problem.

  • Stop excess raw material consumption against production order

    Hello
    Please Guide
Is there any  control to Stop the excess or less consumption of raw material against the Production Order confirmation.
    Eg
    Prod order Qty - 10
    Ram material reqd A- 10 piece & B- 10 Piece
So now Order confirmation Qty - 10
    raw material consumption A - 10 & B- 10
so for A or B if i want to issue (261) excess or Less qty than system should not allow this. System response to be as an error message in case I increase or decrease the Qty of A or B other than 10 against the prod order confirmation of qty 10.

    Hi,
You have to use user exit only to avoid it.
1.CONFPP02 - for checking good issue during confirmation
2.MBCF0002 - for Checking Confirmations during the Goods receipt.
For this you need to Use the User Exit:
    Enhancement - MBCF0002
    Functional Module - EXIT_SAPMM07M_001
    Include - ZXMBCU02

  • Mtl Availability Problem @ Production Order Release

    Hello All,
For production order creation and order release we have different types of availability checks:
1: Order creation: check all purchase orders (ZP02)
2: Order release: do not take purchase orders into account (ZV02)
In the material master the field "availability check" is always set to 02.
The problem with this is that as soon as we want to release a production order, the future purchase orders are not taken into account, but the corresponding production orders (created ones) are. This yields missing parts at release, even though there is enough in stock.
The following options are now selected for ZV02:
    [ ] incl. purchase orders
    [ ] incl. purchase reqs
    [V] incl. dependent reqs
    [V] incl. reservations
    [V] incl. sales reqmts
    [V] incl. deliveries
    [ ] incl. ship notific.
    incl depend reservat [x] all
incl rel order reqs [ ] do not check
incl planned orders [ ] do not check
    incl production orders [x] all
I tried changing OPPJ. Things that do not work or are unwanted are:
changing ZP02 identical to ZV02, since purchase orders should be included for orders in the future
changing ZV02 identical to ZP02, since purchase orders confirmed to today might be delivered tomorrow, which would yield missing parts.
changing ZV02, incl. Production orders from [x] to [F]. Still missing parts @ release.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Marc

    Hello
I assume here that 02 is for the component in the production order, am I right ?
All components have the material availability at 02, so you are right.
Now in 02-ZV02 , the you are considering all the reqmts coming from planned or production orders, is that right ?
Yes, both planned and production orders are checked in ZV02 and ZP02.
Is ZP02 working according to what you need ?
ZP02 is used @ order creation. This works fine, because it takes purchase orders into account that are confirmed in the future. This is correct at order creation.
Cna you check the differences between both rules ?
Purchase orders are not taken into account for ZV02
Purchase orders are taken into account for ZP02.
The rest is identical to the previous list
    An example:
Day 0 (current stock): 200 of material X
Day 1: Production order requires 200 material X
Day 2: Purchase order is confirmed for 200 material X
Day 3: Production order requires 200 material X
    Result of ZP02: in stock: 200, required 200 + 200, confirmed @ day 2: 200 --> No missing Part
    Result of ZV02: in stock: 200, required 200 + 200 --> Missing Part
The best solution would be for the system not to look at the requirements of the orders in the future which are not released yet. Therefore I changed the key ZV02: incl. Production orders from [x] to [F]. However, this did not have any effect!

    marc.

  • Material Batch in Production Order

    Good afternoon,
We have the scenario where a Material batch is only allowed in ONE production order, for example:
    Material 123, Batch A: Qty50
    Material 123, Batch B: Qty50
I have a production Order that requires 75 of Material 123.
The production Order can only be a maximum of 50 and another for 25 has to be raised as only 1 material batch is allowed per Production Order.
    Is this possible?

    Guy,
I think you are saying since your component material 123 has 2 batches of qty 50, you want to generate Finished product production order qty =50 automatically.
This is a typical requirement in Chemical/Pharma industry where production batch size is determined by available raw material qty.
This feature can be used in a concept called Material qty calculation used in the PP-PI model where you work reciepe & process orders. unfortunately this feature is not available in the PP module of SAP.
Alternatively your client may have to go for an ehancement pack " Industry solution - Pharma"
However if you are using PP-PI module the solution is as follows
With material qty calculation based on raw material qty (eg 50) issued to production order, FG production order qty can be reduces to 50 (based on formulae maintained in Mat-Qty section in Recipe).
Hope this helps resolve your question.
    thanks,
    Ram

  • HU managed material consumption against Production Order

    Hi Gurus
I am struggling to determine how we will consume HU managed goods in production.  The scenario is for the rework or repack of finished goods.
    1)      The HUs are staged to the production area (either PSA or ST 914 in WM) based on need for rework or based on a production order
    2)      Production Order is confirmed and the inventory on HUs is goods issued.
    There are a few variations:
Ø  In a rework the HUs are reused with a reduction; that is, they will send in 100 pallets to be reworked and get back say 90.  In this case they would reuse the 90 HUs and the remaining 10 would be inactive.
Ø  It is also possible that 100 HUs are staged to production and not all the inventory is consumed in the production order.
    The basic question is:
How do we capture the actual HUs used in the production order or staged but not consumed in the production order?
Any kind of help will be highly appreciated,
    Thanks
    SK

    dear SK
if i understand your process correctly - you're after the "Post Goods Issue with HU via Production Order"?
    as far as i know:
    -you create a production order and release it;
    -WM creates a pick request from which you can create a transfer order. the execution of the transfer order results in the components that are managed in HUs at the storage location, being withdrawn and made available for production;
-you post the goods issue. depending on your organizational structure you can either use an outbound delivery or a transfer requirement as a picking document.
    good luck!

  • Material availibility in prod  order

    Dear all ,
For SFG production order RM required .
In prodction order Storage location for this RM is 0001.
where as in MMBE stock available for this RM at 0002. still prodn order status is MACM ?
    Pl guide where to check
    regards ,

I have the same issue but the system behaving in a unusual manner:
I have set the system in such a way that the system should post an error to me if material is not available (i.e. it is in unrestricted stock and no reservations are made against this stock). for this purpose i've copied the standard PP Checking rule and created ZP. and have reservations and planned orders removed from it.
along with this i've assigned this to my order type.
The system isnt performing this check at order creation level but carrying it out as required at order release.
i've set the appropriate settings in "opjk" too.. in customizing..
Please help. in my opinion the system should not behave like this..should i raise an OSS note for having SAP look into this issue ?

  • Material backflush in production order after finished goods GR

    Dear all,
I once started similiar topic several months ago, but didn't recieved any response. I'm gonna give it another try, so maybe you'll be able to support me after all.
So, the situation is like this. We have a production order, in which MC team maintained the materials to consume. The problem is, that very often it comes that we have to use same material part, but under 2-3 different partnumbers. E.G.:
Production order target: 1000 finished goods
    Required materials: Part A 1000 pcs, Part B1 700 pcs, Part B2 300 pcs, Part C 1000 pcs, Part D1 150 pcs, Part D2 450 pcs, Part D3 400 pcs.
So yes, in case when it is Part B1, B2 and etc. it means that we're using physically the same part, but under different partnumbers. The problem is, that those material are all coming in pieces, not in meters or anything, and we can't allow to have, for example, 0.7 pcs of any of those materials (cause obviously you can't have 0.7 pcs of LCD panels stored in the warehouse).
It wouldn't be a problem if we could just confirm all operations in production order in 1 batch, but production order is being confirmed partially, every time the pallet with finished goods is being released from production line (we have integrated system, that sends requests to SAP to confirm specific quantity of finished goods in production order). So, as an example, if 1 pallet contains 15 pcs of finished goods, you have 67 confirmations for production order [(66*15)+(1*10)]. And, since all those materials come in PCS, SAP is rounding up consumption if it has decimal, which leads to wrong materials consumption.
Initially, I had an idea of adding 1 more operation in production order, which was supposed to be a manual use only, after finished goods GR, and MC team supposed to assign those B1\B2 and etc. material to this operation  E.G.:
Operation 0010 - consume material from work center A
Operation 0020 - consume material from work center B
Operation 0030 - finished goods GR (milestone)
Operation 0040 - consume material from work center C
My idead was rejected, since I was told that after GR for finished goods is done and you continue consuming materials in production order - it will not be shown in financial reporting (don't know the details, it was quite a straight reject, without much explanation).
So, question is - is there a way to consume materials after finished goods GR without creating mess in financial reporting, or if not - what other options do I have?
    thank you in advance

    Hi Valentin,
After GR also you can do goods issue. Till the order status is CLSD (Closed) you can book cost on to the order.
Two ways to consume materials on order.
In order component overview maintain the required part number with quantity. GI as can done with reference to order MB1A 261 movement type.
Directly do GI with MB1A -261 movement type - Input the order number, material number and qty.
Refer to the below discussion on unplanned GI which was discussed yesterday,

  • Best practice - material staging for production order

    Hi Experts,
could any of You pls, support me with some hints of best practice how to handle material staging WM-PP interface in a certain case?
Up till now we had a system, where production had no separate location in IM, but one location existed including raw material wh and production. In the same time in WM we had separate storage types for production and raw materials u2013 hence we did material staging transferring goods only inside one IM location between different WM storage types. The material staging should be done based on separate prd. orders.
Now this need to be changed and separate location need to be handled in IM for production u2013 which means the staging should be done between different IM locations and WM administration also need to be handled.
Up till now we used LP10 for staging, then LB13 for TO creation etc. We can keep going like that, but if do so, there is another step required in IM u2013 movement 311, where material numbers and qty need to be added manually to finish the whole procedure. I would like to avoid this u2013 which makes the administrational procedure quite long.
I have been checking the following possibilities:
    1.     Set released order parts-staging at control cycle and use MF60 for staging u2013 but I can not select requirements based on pro ordders here (only able to find demand if component including into selection)
    2.     Two step transfer 313/315 u2013 but this not a supported procedure u2013 313 TI /TO / 315
    3.     Try to find solution how to create 311 movement based on TO or based on WM stock at certain storage type / dynamic bin.
    I have failed.
So, could any of You pls, support me with some useful ideas, how to handle material staging where 311 included and definetly the last step of procedure, but administrator does not need to enter items manually one by one in MIGO.
    All answers will be appreciated

    Hi,
Storage location control should be able to take care of your problem.
If you want to stage the material to a different IM location then the WM location then make the following settings
If location xxxx is your WM location and location yyyy is your Production location.
You have defined Production storage type ZZZ for production storage location YYYY and have maintained the supply area for the same
In WM configuration - For interfaces - IM interface-Control of Assignment "Plant / Stor.Loc. - Whse Number"
Assign location XXXX as the Standard Location. Maintain entry donot copy sloc in TR for location YYYY
In WM configuration - For interfaces - IM interface-  Storage Location control for WH
This entry ensures that there will be a WM tarnsfer Posting between your WM and Production storage Location automatically when you confirm your TO. You can have this done via a btach job also if you want cumulative posting. (schedule job RLLQ0100)
