Increase bScale in DBPARAMBINDINFO Error in PB 12.1 Ver 7000

Hello.  Can't seem to get around the below error in PB 12.1 Ver 7000 when calling a Stored Procedure from Powerscript and am passing Datetime values.  I have played around with the connection strings Date formatting, but no matter what I attempt, it still looks like the PB is passing MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS when SQL Server 2012 is expectring YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.
Full error:
SQLSTATE = 22007
Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 11.0
The fractional part of the provided time value overflows the scale of the corresponding SQL Server parameter or column. Increase bScale in DBPARAMBINDINFO or column scale to correct this error.
I've tried to use providers of SQLOLEDB, SQLNCLI10 & SQLNCLI11
Connection Profile String (Connection works fine):
// Profile for SIngle Sign On....
SQLCA.DBMS = "OLE DB"
SQLCA.Lock = "RU"
SQLCA.AutoCommit = False
SQLCA.DBParm = "PROVIDER='SQLNCLI11',DATASOURCE='DB-DNS-ENTRY',PBCatalogOwner='dbo',INTEGRATEDSECURITY='SSPI'"
In the above, I have also tried to specify the following, whcih also works, but the same result (notice the date parameters match what SQL Server should expect for Datetime data types...
// Profile
SQLCA.DBMS = "OLE DB"
SQLCA.LogPass = <**************>
SQLCA.LogId = "USERID"
SQLCA.Lock = "RU"
SQLCA.AutoCommit = False
SQLCA.DBParm = "PROVIDER='SQLOLEDB',DATASOURCE='DB-DNS-ENTRY',PROVIDERSTRING='Database=DB-NAME',DateFormat='yyyy-mm-dd',DateTimeFormat='yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss.fff',TimeFormat='hh:mm:ss.fff'"

Ok, I think that I found the issue.  I did not apply any more changes to the DB Profile.  Our app is over 15 years old and many hands at varying times have made modifications.  I was working on a workaround to our DBPARAMBIND problem by modifying the Stored Procedure and what parameters it expected (limiting datetime parameters), but the code was not "pulling in" or recognizing the latest changes I made. It turns out that the following style of code to invoke a Stored Procedure was not pulling in the most recent version of the SP:
SQLCA.PROCEDURE_NAME(ld_param1, ld_param2, ldt_param3...)
I am not sure what version of Stored Procedure it was invoking??  Only then did I attempt to rewrite the call to what I was familiar with in the following format:
Declare pb_procedure_alias procedure for PROCEDURE_NAME &
@param1 = ld_param1,
@param2 = ld_param2,
@param3 = ld_param3 USING SQLCA;
Execute pb_procedure_alias;
The DBPARAMBINDINFO error disappeared.  Original problem solved, no need for a workaround.
Not sure if this issue is a result of our move to SQL Server 2008 and then to 2012 and still using an older version of Powerbuilder (12.1 Build 7000)???
Explanations???

  • How to increase font size of error message in css or in template?

    Hi all,
    Firt time i am working for css modification.I am not able to increase the font size of Error message in Inline in Notification validation at Item level. I am not able to find where i should make change for that in tempalate or in CSS. I know it's very simple question but i am not able to do this simple change.
    I created some validation at Item level and page level and in Inline in Notofication want to display the error message.
    In error message i am writing code like "
    <a href="#P15_item_name" title="Link to item FIELD">Please Enter value for item name </a>."
    but font is very small. can any one help me where i should make changes to make it some biger font.
    where exactly i should make changes.?
    Thank You,
    Amit

    This is strange. Another css is used, core_V22.css
    Here is the path: htmldb/images/css/
    Search for "span.errTxt". It already has a set font-size, so just increase it.
    I don't know the exact use of core_V22.css. It seams to be used by other applications, so it may influence them as well. It would be better if you could define another class, but I don't realize yet from where to address it
    I hope this helps you Amit

  • Cannot increase Credit Limit - Get error message F4724

    Hi All,
    In FD32, I'm trying to increase the credit limit of a customer.  I get message Message no. F4724 that says "Maximum Individual limit should only be $$$$"  and it prints the $ amount of the current limit.  I try to increase the limit on other customers and I can with no error message.
    Have you ever seen this message and do you know what causes it to be displayed?  I searched notes and don't see anything, so I'm not sure where to look.
    Thanks in advance for your expertise!

    Hi,
    Please check the central data. It has a section for Maximum permitted limits - Total amount and individual limit. Change the fields as need.

  • Getting error while executing the SQL ( ver 8.1.7.0.0)

    I am running a simple query involved with joins. When i ran the query with first set of criteria mentioned in the WHERE clause there is no problem. But when I try to run the same just by doing some correction in the WHERE clause, following errors is shown. I tried doing this from TOAD and SQL Analyser. I am getting the same output.
    ORA-01114: IO error writing block to file 4 (block # 524242)
    ORA-27069: skgfdisp: attempt to do I/O beyond the range of the file
    OSD-04026: Invalid parameter passed. (OS 524247)
    ORA-01114: IO error writing block to file 4 (block # 524242)
    ORA-27069: skgfdisp: attempt to do I/O beyond the range of the file
    OSD-04026: Invalid parameter passed. (OS 524247)
    Can anyone suggest what is this error all about and resolution for the same. Thanks.
    Regards
    Srinivasan B

    Could be a problem with your temp tablespace. Especially if your query is doing a large sort (merge) operation. Usually a simple select does not write any IO. With expetion from the temp tablespace. But I would have expected another error message then.
    Without exactly knowing what the problem is i'm hesitant to give an advice. But rethinking your query could be a good starting point.

  • Getting an  Unknown Error when trying to download Ver 2.0

    When I try to update the software from Itunes. It asks me about updating and when I select. I get " There is a problem downloading the iPod software for the IPod "Joe's Ipod". An unknown error occurred (-23). I tried to reset the IPOD and got the same error. The ITunes diagnostics said the IPOD is OK. My pod casts and such are sycning OK.

    Not there aren't any special settings for this. You just use the Open In feature to save the document into Pages. You could have a font in the document that Pages doesn't like, maybe something that you copied and pasted from somewhere into the document that went corrupt. But there is nothing special about the way that you save a Word document into Pages. You save it like you save any document or file into a compatible app.

  • Camera in use error after updating iphoto to ver 6

    After updating to iphoto 6 the camera on my macbook pro will not work. When I try to start the application i get a message saying camera in use by another application. However there are no other applications running! Any suggestions?

    Heya N,
    iPhoto 6 does not interface with the iSight camera in your computer so I'm not sure what program you are trying to use that indicates the camera is in use.
    To resolve the issue it would be helpful to know what program is generating the error message.
    Basic hardware resets you can try:
    PMU
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303319
    PRAM
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303319
    If these resets do not resolve your issue please reply back with what program you are opening when you receive your error message.
    Hope that helps.

    The error means that we are not able to talk to the power controllers over
    the I2C bus and therefore the powered devices connected to the switch may
    not get power from the switch.
    This indeed indicates a Hardware error and the switch may need to be
    replaced.
    I will also suggest you to upgrade the switch
    to a more latest version while replacing because there are a lot of bugs
    reported for the version you running.

    Hello,
    I was able to read Devicenet vendor ID using new available API. I have PCI 8532 card in my system.
    I am trying to send a explicit command and looking for the response. I see no error when the message is written but when control goes to READ VI, I am getting error whose snapshot has been attached,
    Error description says - Device with MAC ID not found, but I know that device exists for that MAC ID,
    Please let me know what might be wrong.
    Thanks

    The error might be misleading. I see that you do not use a service code and data length input of your write VI. Can you try to at least put some value for data length in there?

  • Error: can't find jre, error: registry values set to ver 1.4 but 1.3 is req

    just got my dreamweaver program and since then my jre has been screwed. don't know how to fix it but that's why i am here. the errors are listed in the subject matter. thanx for your help.

    It looks like you have at some time you installed ver 1.4 but your system is finding a java.exe program file that is ver 1.3.
    If you have both a 1.3 and a 1.4 java.exe, then try renaming the 1.3 version to java1.3.exe and see if it clears up your problem. If it does, just delete the 1.3 version. I suspect that something you installed also installed a 1.3 version.
    If you only have a 1.3 version, then you can change the registry entry to 1.3 instead of 1.4.
    You can use the Windows search function to find all files whose name is java.exe. In a command prompt, use the full path to the file and the -version option to show the version. For example, if the full path to a java.exe is c:\windows\system32\javac.exe then the command is "c:\windows\system32\javac.exe -version"

  • Error on installing intel p4 ver 8

    tried to Install the ORACLE Client 8.1.7/8.1.6 on Pentium4 with win98se platform. On inserting the CD it gave the first prompt and after Clicking the "INSTALL/DE-INSTALL PRODUCTS", system stops. Checking in the TaskManager helps us to know that 'setup.exe' and 'java.exe' were started for a fraction of the second and then stopped.
    Tried to explore the issue and it seems that the JAVA version which ORACLE is using for the INSTALLATION of 8.1.7 is NonCompatible with the P4[NT Platform].
    However, 8.0.5/8.0.6 Client version were successfully Installed on the same configuration.
    Can Anyone help me out in Installing 8.1.6 on P4[win98se].
    Thanks in advance
    pls mail me urgently
    e-mail addr. [email protected]

    The issue is with with pentium 4 chip does not somehow recognise the file "symcjit.dll". You will find more info in the website "http://developer.intel.com/design/processor/future/manuals/knownissue.htm" and "http://www.indiana.edu/~dms/databases/oracle/pentium_iv_bug_fix.htm".
    A workaround this problem is to copy the whole CD in your hard disk and then rename the "symcjit.dll" to "symcjit.old" and continue with installation. This helps. I have done this.

  • Random I/O errors (hdd) and failing to boot, Windows not affected

    I'm experiencing lots of I/O errors when booting and running my Linux partition. I am dual booting Windows 7 (x86_64) and Arch Linux (i686) on a single HDD.
    Im using a Lenovo Ideapad G505s with a Seagate ST1000LM HDD and an SDD currently not in use.
    Partition layout:
    NAME FSTYPE LABEL UUID MOUNTPOINT
    sda
    ├─sda1 ntfs System Reserved D8B40750B4073094
    ├─sda2 ntfs 00EA107FEA107360
    └─sda3 ext3 b753e7d2-6a23-4c20-8fa7-bf281a4a09e4 /
    sr0
    All three are primary partitions. Using ext4 yields the exact same result.
    The problem is easy to reproduce:
    Install Windows 7 to first half of HDD and Arch on the second half
    At first Arch works fine but over the next couple of days increasingly more I/O errors show up and at some point the system fails to boot
    Windows seems to work just fine

    I don't recall when this error first showed up, and I unluckily deleted my journal before noticing the problem, for it was getting big, so I can't trace back. But I have it in the journal since then (11.september). At begining only from time to time, but now things are getting worse.

  • Questions about Tuxedo patches and errors during installation

    Please help me. I'm doing my school project that requires me to install PeopleSoft Human Capital Management. I do not have customer identifier. Therefore, I could not sign in to Oracle Support. Really appreciate your help!!! Thank you in advance!
    Q1. Are Tuxedo patches able to download from Oracle support only?
    Q2. Is Tuxedo patch compulsory?
    I have few errors in the following:

    you said3. I run the SQR by pressing the PS_HOME\bin\sqr\MSS\binw\sqrw.exe and I type in my report name, datasource, username and password then click ok then the command came out.
    >
    What you didn't do was set the SQR arguments in the Report Arguments section. You need to supply the arguments as follow:
    -ZIF%PS_HOME%\sqr\pssqr.ini -i%PS_HOME%\sqr -fc:\temp\youroutput.htm -printer:ht -keep
    You have to do this for each SQR you want to start.
    To avoid typing these arguments every time, create a shortcut of sqrw.exe, on your desktop, or where ever your like and open the properties of the shortcut and change to command line to
    %PS_HOME%\bin\sqr\ORA\binw\sqrw.exe -ZIF%PS_HOME%\sqr\pssqr.ini -i%PS_HOME%\sqr -fc:\temp\youroutput.htm -printer:ht -keep
    Now when you dubble click on the shortcut the arguments will be filled in automatically.
    Change %PS_HOME% in above statements to your PS_HOME.
    You can also read this in the installation manual in chapter Task 7A-21-1: Running SQRs on the Client Workstation
