Indirect sales rebate or indirect extended sales rebate

hi friends,
Anyone worked on indirect sales rebate help me out with the process scenario of indirect sales rebate or indirect extended sales rebate. i do have the configuration document but want to know where or for what scenario its used.
my req:
          Manufacturer --> distributor --> endcustomer.
1. distributor buys from manufacturer and gets some coupons along with material directly proportionate to the value of invoice.
   eg.
          invoice value--rs. 1 lakh
he will get 10 coupon A or 5 coupon B. or both
2. Then he sells the same to  end customer with his own conditions.(sale between distributor and end customer not captured in SAP as of now.)
3. anytime the end customer may come to the MANUFACTURER with the coupons(not to the distributor from whom he purchased his goods) and will get his coupon redeemed, by buying Free of Charge items for the total value of coupon he possess.
4. coupons need to be validated ie. checked whether its been bought from the distributor to whom the manufacturer has sold it to and not from any other distributor.
> is indirect sales rebate or extenced sales rebate (both r same i believe) applicable here. if so how??
if not-- help me with best way to go ahead with the scenario.
             thanks in advance..
leo

Hi Leo,
The scenario with coupons / points is managed in SAP CRM and is part of Loyalty Management:
/people/bhushan.khadpe/blog/2008/11/13/sap-crm-70-loyalty-management-high-volume-execution
I am sorry to say that the indirect sales rebate, extended or not, will not solve your need.
Indirect rebates are used to credit distributors based on sales done on third-party customers (the customers of the distributors). These sales will be registered in SAP using a "pendulum list" and indirect rebate agreement give credit based on indirect sales volume (these are proforma billing documents generated from the pendulum list data).
My understanding is that any company that wants to manage coupons / points natively in the SAP ERP has to program this functionality itself in the ERP or to interface SAP ERP with a specialized external application.
SAP recommended solution is to implement SAP CRM, but IMHO that is an overkill for many medium size companies.
I wish there would be a way to implement specific CRM functions natively in SAP ERP, like Trade Promotion Management or Points Management, so the Customer could stick with a single ERP / CRM system

Franck

  • Rebate agreement to incorrect Sales Area

    Hi All
I have an issue where the customer service area has created a rebate agreement and assigned the incorrect Sales Area.  Is there anyway we can extend the rebate agreement to a new sales area?  Is there anything in config that we need to do so this is possible?
    Cheers
    Tammy Bucholz

    Hi Tammy,
In the same way that you can't change the sales area of a sales order, you can't change the sales area of a rebate agreement (at header level => KONA table).
I have the same requirement at a customer site and gave them the same answer.
You need to create a new rebate agreement and inactivate the old one: Cancel credit notes, set all value to cero and run VBOF for old agreement.

  • Rebate base on the sales order no.

I want to create the rebate base on the previous sales order, the key combinaiton is customer and sales order number.I had used the field of sales order number is AUBEL,and I had also maintained alll the configuraiton and master data for this rebate. But the billing could not capture the rebate. I have check the analysis, the message display the condition record is missing ,the sales document is the currently SO.I do not understand why it could not capture the SO no. which I had maintained in the rebate.Does anyone have some suggest for this issue?Thank you in advance.
    Best regards

    Hi
Rebate conditions comes into effect only when you will create a Billing document, you can not find them in Sales order.
THis beacuse of "Requirement 24" assigned to the Rebate condition types in the Pricing Procedure.
    It is logical also.
Suppose, you are working with Material Rebate.
Customer has ordered for 100 units, but subsequently he has requested you do deliver only 50 units with reference to his order.
So, you will bill him for 50 units only.
Now, if you have set the Rebate on Sales order, then system will calculate the Rebate accrual on Sales order quantity, which is wrong.
Billing quantity is the right quntity for which customer is eligible for Rebate.
That is why in SAP, it has been set like this.
Beside this when you want to work on Rebate, you need to activate Rebate in three places
    - Sales organisatio
    - Payer
    - Billing document type  (NOT Sales document type).
Beside this , your Sold-to-party and Payer may be different, whereas you have made the condition record for Sold-to-party and Sales order combination.
Rebate condition record must be create within the Rebate Agreement specifying the Rebate rate and Accrual rate.
It is not created by VK11.
These are few possiblities for which Rebate is not featuring in your Billing document.

You can use AET to extend the sales area data of BP.  However, it wont add the fields automatically in GUI, But the generated fields are available in the relevant DB tables.
BP GUI transaction is no more supported . Im not sure why you want to work on GUI.

  • Extend Sales area data of a BP via copy

    Hi,
Is there any functionality in SAP CRM 2007 to extend the Sales area data for a BP via copying.
Example: BP 'A' has been created for Sales area 'AB' and the relevant fields have been populated. Later on the BP 'A' needs to be extended to Sales area 'CD', 'EF' and 'GH'. Since only a few fields differ in the different Sales areas a copy of Sales area 'AB' to 'CD', 'EF' and 'GH' is requested. Is that possible?
In ECC this is possible but I cannot find the similar functionality in CRM.
    Thanks for your help!

  • Remove the exsting extended sales organization for material master

    Hi All,
Could you advice how to remove the existing extened sales organization for a material master?
    e.g.
we have a mateiral A-001 and have extended sales org / distribution channel
    8110  10
    8210  10
and currently we don't want 8210 10 to sell this part, can we disable or remove this sales org / dis channel for this part?
    Thanks,

Go to material master and select Sales: Sales Org. Data 1  view and click on "Organisational levels" tab at the bottom.  Maintain delivering plant, sales organisation 8210 and distribution channel 10 and execute.
There you can see a field "DChain-spec. status" where you assign "01" and save.
Go to OVSU, select "01" and click on blue lens on top so that you will see some list of tabs.  In that maintain "B"  against "Block for order" field and save.
Now try to create sale order for this material from sales organisation 8210 and also from 8110 and you will find that you can create sale order from 8110 and not from 8210.
    thanks

  • Extending Sales Area data for a Business Partner

    Hi CRM experts,
I searched the forum but couldn't find a thread that I'm looking for..
I've a query regarding the extension of Business Partner to a new Sales Area in CRM. In R/3 we can provide reference sales area and extend the customer to a new sales area. This will copy all the relevant sales area fields' data to the new sales area in R/3. Do we have similar option in CRM? If not what is best method to extend large volume of Business Partners from one Sales Area to a new Sales Area?
Any pointers around this will be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Charan

    Hi,
In  the BP go to Sales Area Data and select sales tab. In that select the sales Org,D.Channel, division for which you want to maintain and enter all the detail in all the tabs (shipping,Sales,Billing etc) and save the BP.

  • Extend sales orders

    Hello all,
I have about 3000 sales orders belonging to the sales area 1000/10/10. According to my client this sales area will no longer exists. So all these sales orders have to be extended to  or copied to sales area 2000/20/20. And after the copy the sales orders in 1000/10/10 will be set to rejected. I can reject those with CATT or MASS.  Can any one of you please let me know how can I get these sales orders from one sales area into another?
    Appreciate your help and time
    Thanks

once the sales order is created you can no longer change the sales area.
I also experienced your problem and I solved without closing and reopening orders: I simply made an abap that changed the sales area data directly in VBAK after I billed all the open deliveries: it worked fine !!!

  • Difference between "Rebate Recipient" and "Customer" in Rebate Setting

While setting "Rebate Agreement" (TCode VBO1), for "Customer Rebate" (0003) Agreement Type, there is one "Rebate Recipient" and then when we go on to create the conditions, there is "Customer" for different rate etc.
My question- What is difference between the "Rebate Recipient" & the "Customer" (the one we enter while entering the conditions)?
Is it like "Payer" & "Sold to Party" partner function in Sales Order Processing eg for different "Sold to Party" there could be one "Payer", similarly for Rebate, for these different "Sold to Party", which would be like "Customer" in Rebate setting and the "Payer" in Sales Order will be like "Rebate Recipient" in Rebate Setting.?
    Thx

    Dear SR
    Rebate Recipient is the payer
As you know ,in rebate configuration , the payer's master record is to be activated which is first major setting in rebates
    Customer is sold to party
As you know ,the rebate process starts from sales order (your sales order pricing procedure will have rebate condition types but they are reflected in billing) and in a sales document the pricing conditions is taken from sold to party and the pricing condition records are taken from sold to party
If in case payer and sold to party are different
That means the input is taken from sold to party that is Customer (rebate calculations in pricing procedure ) and the out put is passed on to the payer that is Rebate Recipient (passing on rebate claim as credit notes)
That is two different identities  which the system needs to know
    Hence SAP has defined so
Even if the payer and sold to paty are same even then we need to give the same no(customer no ) in both the places

  • Sales Document Type Assignment to Sales Area (OVAZ)

    Dear Gurus,
    I have the following problem.
These are my sales areas which have been created into SAP as follow:
ZV     Dep. Vanz TCPS     99     Distrib. channel 99     ZA     Retail
ZV     Dep. Vanz TCPS     99     Distrib. channel 99     ZB     Wholesale
ZV     Dep. Vanz TCPS     99     Distrib. channel 99     ZC     Key Accounts
I managed to assign the following list of documents to the first one:
ZV     Dep. Vanz TCPS     99     Distrib. channel 99     ZA     Retail
    IN     Inquiry
    QT     Quotation
    CS     Cash Sale
    FD     Deliv.Free of Charge
    DR     Debit Memo Request
    DS     Scheduling Agreement
    QP     Rental Contract
    RE     Returns
    RO     Rush Order
    OR     Standard Order
    SC     Service and Maint.
Now, when I want to do the same for the 2 last Sales Area the system asks me to create them?????
    What is wrong?
    Please advise
    Kind regards
    Chris

Your basic understanding is different from what SAP offers.
You have to create common sales area. For that you have to link your sales org to a common sales area first, d.c to a common d.c and division to a common div.
Then create a common sales area of the combination of common sales org/common d.c./common div
Now in OVAZ, yo only have to link ur doc types to the common sales area. This will enable you to use this doc types for all sales areas which are indirectly assigned to the common sales area.

  • Replicate custom fields from CRM sales order to R/3 sales order

    Hi Michael,
I have a requirement to replicate custom setype data created for CRM sales order to R/3 sales order. These fields have been created at item level.
Do you know the set of steps to achieve the same.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chamu

    Hi,
the CRM sales order cannot be extended using set types. Set types are a functionality that is limited to products.
You can however enhance the orders by using the easy enhancement workbench (ransaction EEWB). It will allow you to add specific fields to all levels of the sales document and will take care of ALL the objects that are necessary to update and maintain he fields (functions, screens, bdocs, bapi's,...)
Depending on you system, it will also generate the update modules for R/3 (don't bet on it). Otherwise you'll have to program the extraction and mapping of the new fields in R/3.
    Michael.

  • Sales order division change after sales order is saved.

    Q1.
on sales order  XXX it has been noted that the division is incorrect.  Can this be changed to reflect the correct division on sales order without causing any issues to the milestone billing / invoicing
    already raised.
    Q2.
on sales order XXXa the same issue has occurred. Please advise the best solution to this without
affecting the sales order, ie. does the customer require to be extended
    Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi
For Qn 1 Which division you are talking about is it header or item?
1000,10,00 sales area and customer belongs to this sales area 1000,10,00 but the material belongs to division 02 in MMR
In this case header division is 00 and item division is 02
If the mistake which you are mentioning about is item division there is no problem
Untick the item division in VOV8 and keep check division as blank and try
If the mistake which you are mentioning about is header division then nothing can be done you need to reverse the bill nad reverse pgi and delete delivery and reject the sales order
Once the document(sales order is created that is assigned to particular area under no circumstances the sales will be changed) that means changing the assignment is not possible
    Qn no 2
You can extend the customer to the new sales area but that will not impact the already created order and hence that needs to be closed and created fresh
Once the customer is extended to a new sales area the already created orders cant be assigned to your liking to the new sales area

  • Sales Orders-Collective Billing [Primary Sales Agent-Sub Agent-EndCustomer]

    Dear all,
Our company is a FerryBoat operator and the following sales schema is used: Primary Sales Agents - PSA sell Tickets to interested parties - End Customers via  Subagents - Brokers.
Via our Reservation system (not SAP) an interested party can buy a reservation using the services of a subagent who has online access to the system. In case of Trucks the reservation System issues a type of Cargo Invoice for the End Customer (ie the company that owns the truck). Our company is  paid by the PSA  of our SubAgent.
Up to now for each truck reservation, within our SAP back office we created a SalesOrder via an IDOC, with the following Info:
SoldTo      = the SubAgent ( has a view in SalesOrganization as a customer - KNVV )
ShipTo      = the SubAgent ( We didnu2019t keep the EndCustomer in our SAP system )
BillTo, PayTo = The PSA  ( has a view  within the CompanyCode data u2013 KNB1 )
Billing is collective and each billing document includes many Sales orders for the Same PSA. The Accounting Document is a summarized one
    Debit PSA-Payer / Credit Revenue .
From the Billing document an output Statement is produced and sent to the PSA.
We are obliged from 01.01.2010 to reflect the End Customer sale in our SAP accounting System, even though we will still be paid by the PSA. So the accounting department proposes something like this
    1.     Debit EndCustomer / Credit Revenue     for each CargoInvoice-many End Customers
    2.     Debit PSA / Credit End Customer          (summarized)
The same Output statement should be produced and sent to PSA since he will continue to pay us.
It is clear that from now on we should keep a record of the End Customer within our SAP system (should be opened in KNB1) From what I understand the Sales order should have the following info
    SoldTo = the SubAgent
    ShipTo = the End Customer
    BillTo=?
    PayTo=?
Should we have new Business partner functions? How can we achieve this via SD. What should be the Businness partners involved in each Sales order u2013 Truck reservation ? Is it possible to have a single BillingDocument for the whole production of a PSA as we had before ?
Thank you in advance for any hint-tip.

  • Need to change sales tax from point of sale to point of delivery

    Hi all,
Recently the tax laws were changed such that sales tax is to be collected based on where the product will be delivered to (rather then where the product was sold from).
Briefly we are an agency with mulitiple divisions, and within those divisions several sales offices.  Previously, a sales would be made from the sales office, and based on the tax rate for that division and sales office (county/city) the sales tax would be calculated.
Now we need to shift that so that a sales can still be made from a division/sales office, but the collected tax is based on where the product will be delivered to.
I'm sure there is a way to set this up, but I'm at a loss as to where to start.
One of teh options the customer suggested was to have a sales area set up with all the cities and tax codes in it.  Then assign that sales area to each of the sales offices.  Is this possible? Or do you have to have a separate sales area for each sales office?
I'm open to any suggestions you may have as I'm not very familiar with this side of SAP (sales distription and taxes).
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
    Laurie

Thanks Bill.  As it turns out, we are in the US where jurisdiction is an option I guess so this procedure may not be needed.  As I dig further it appears we are currently setup to use TAXUS procedure which utilizes tax codes - a limited number.  But since the recent change, we may need to switch to TAXUSJ.
Does this ring a bell for anyone?  If it is what we need to do, what need I be aware of that will change in the rest of the system?
Thanks for your answers so far!

  • How to transfer cost from old sales order (cancelled) to new sales order

    Hi Gurus
I want to know, how to move cost from one sales order to another sales order.
SD created sales order before 1 month and there was production order behind this. Production was completed and all the cost was moved to sales order and also SD has raised invoice on customer. This transaction was completed.
The above order was rejected by customer due to some changes in the order. SD raised another sales order and production order was created to to additional work. Production transfered above stock (produce before on old production order) to new production order.
My problem is stock is now transfered to new production order but cost is still sitting on old sales order. How do I transfer cost from old sales order to new sales order. SD cancelled old invoice and raised new one with full value (old + new work) on new sales order. Now cost is on old sales order and revenue is on new sales order.
    Please help.
    Thanks

    Hi
I have reverse the sales order settlement, PP order settlement to sales order and I have also done KB11N for transfering the cost to the new production order.
The only problem is I was unable to transfer labour hour confirmation as cost element used for this are not for transfering cost. If I will reverse the confirmation in PP order system will reverse material movement also which I don't want any more. Can you please tell me how to I reverse the Labour hours with out affecting goods movement?
    Many thanks
