Information on the upgraded 12.1.3 instance

Question

My instance is upgraded from 12.0.6 to 12.1.3
SELECT release_name FROM fnd_product_groups;
shows that it is 12.1.3
Customer would like to know how to identify that it is upgraded from 12.0.6 or 12.0.x etc
Does this information been stored in any of the files or tables ?

There are a number of scripts you can run that Oracle provides that will give you comprehensive proof of versions (such as HRMS121.sql that will give you installed products and product versions)
A quick and dirty query would be this, to give EBS and DB version:
select i.instance_name, i.host_name,
f.release_name release, i.version from v$instance i,
fnd_product_groups f where upper(substr(i.instance_name,1,4)) =
upper(substr(f.applications_system_name,1,4));
Yes, these queries take information from tables in the database.
