Infotype 0759

Hi all ECM gurus,
Can we manually change the status in IT0759 after the "approved" status? What about after "active"? I'm pretty sure we cannot do it after activation. Actually, the scenario is like this:
Lets say just before the payroll has to be processed, the HR admin wants to change the compensation amount (increase or decrease) for a particular pernr at the very last moment. The review has already been done, meaning, the review period has ended. In this case, can the admin override the pernr's status?
Would we have to run off-cycle to incorporate those changes if the status is "active"?
Any leads shall be appreciated. Thanks.
Cheers,

Hi Adi,
I apologize for not making myself clear. The scenario is this:
The client has done compensation approval through MSS, thereby, updating status in IT0759. The current status is "approved". The HR admin has also executed the "Change Compensation Process Status" report. The current status is now "active". Now before the payroll is to be processed, client wants to make some changes in the compensation amount for a particular employee. Is there a way to accomplish this after activation. I'm pretty sure once activated, no changes can be made. Would they have to run off-cycle in that case? Is this correct?
What about making changes when the status is still "approved"?
Cheers,

  • HR ECM EP4- Infotype 0759 approved status question

    Hi HR Experts,
When the planning status of infotype 0759 change from submitted to approved? I have an org unit which is get approved but the infotype 0759 still has planning status submitted. The superior org unit still has open status.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Adding on to Paulu2019s inputs, you must run report u201CDisplay Compensation Planning Progressu201D (RHECM_DISPLAY_PROGRESS). From SAP help:
Upon execution, this report evaluates the contents of the Process History table (T71ADM_PROCESS) for the selected organizational unit(s) during that compensation review, then displays the contents of that table in the report output.

    Hope this helps.

  • Infotype 0008 using SEQNR?

    Hi,
Anyone here have gone down the path of using SEQNR on infotype 0008? Is it possible to do so?
For example, a person transfering from LA to London received a position promotion increase, cost of living adjustment, and internal equity adjustment.
True, you can do it via infotype 759 w/ ECM module, but there are situation where things shouldn't be in 759 ECM module and goes directly on IT0008.
In situation as described and SEQNR is not the method to go down, what have everyone done in this situation?
    Thanks!
    KN

    Yea you could..
But what if you have more than one type of pay changes and want to capture the differences
for example promotion increase is 1000, relocation is 500, etc..which makes up a new basic pay...So we know which is which...
w/o going down the route of recording everything in infotype 0759...

  • ECM: Off-Cycle Adjustments in 0759 or 0008?

In Compensation Management, you have the ability to create annual or off-cycle pay adjustments.  In Personnel Admin, you can make changes to Basic Pay infotype 0008.  I am not sure how to handle off-cycle pay adjustments when the change and a specific reason code need to be stored in 0008.
Can anyone describe for me how they handle off-cycle adjustments?  Do you make the change via ECM in infotype 0759 or directly in 0008?  If that is the process, how do you generate a clean report to show all adjustments in both infotypes?

Specifically in regards to off-cycle salary changes affecting infotype 0008.  Whether part of the annual process or off-cycle, our comp review items in 0759 will post to 0008 correctly, but we are trying to refine our process for the off-cycle changes and centralize data for reporting purposes.  For example, if I make salary changes during the annual process, records in 0759 are activated and placed in 0008.  For off-cycle changes, our preferred method is to make them directly in 0008 to make use of the reason codes on the infotype.  Doing it this way creates a problem for historical reporting, because some of our pay change detail is captured in 0759, and some is captured in 0008.  I am just wondering how other users of the Comp Mgt. functionality handle the off-cycle processes.

  • Enhancement spot for PA Infotypes

    Hi,
I am working in a object where i have to apply checks in infotype PA 759.
Can anyone tell me the Enhancement spot for this.  I know there is a BADI - HRPAD00INFTY.  But as per project guideline, Enhancement spot should be a priority.  While saving Infotype 0759 Enhancespot spot should get triggered.

    Hi Patrick,
Thank you very much for your reply.
But in my project i only have to use Enhancement spot.
User exit and BADI are not in our project guideline.
Kindly suggest any enhancement spot for PA Infotypes

  • HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION vs HR_ECM_INSERT_INFOTYPE

    Hi All,
I have a Y program which is modifying Infotype 0759. When it is modifying this record, based on some conditions, it creates a new record in Infotype 0008.
For creating this new record in IT 0008, this program WAS USING the FM "HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION". Now, this has been changed to "HR_ECM_INSERT_INFOTYPE".
The major difference I observed with this change :
HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION calls the user exits of the PA30 coded for Infotype 0008 in ZXPADU01 and ZXPADU02. All was fine with this.
But now, this new FM HR_ECM_INSERT_INFOTYPE is using the Infotype_Container=>insert (something like this, related to decoupled infotypes)
This is updating IT 0008 perfectly like HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION, but it is not doing the functionality in the user exits.
    Reason for change:
The new FM calls the decoupled infotype logic which has some business checks and time constraint checks.
    Now my questions :
    1. If the infotype is decoupled, even the HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION will call these business checks and time constraint checks. Right ?  So, what is the major advantage of moving to HR_ECM_INSERT_INFOTYPE ?
    2. Is there some trick to enable HR_ECM_INSERT_INFOTYPE  call the user exits of the Infotype ?
Any info would be greatly helpful.
    Many Thanks in advance,
    Surya

    Hi Surya,
Enhancement project PBAS0001which contains those includes is obsolete in terms of detached infotype framework.
The following enhancements will work for a decoupled infotype:
    BAdIs:
HRPAD00INFTYBL Enhancement of Business Logic of Standard Infotypes (this is the direct replacement for the enhancement project PBAS0001)
HRPAD00INFTYDB Performing actions after updating (this is the direct replacement for the BAdI HRPAD00INFTY)
    HRPAD00INFTYUI BAdI: UI Logic Enhancement
More information you may find here:
IMG Personnel Management->Personnel Administration->Customizing Procedures->Infotypes->Infotypes in Detached Infotype Framework
    Under the following IMG nodes:
Enhancements to Business Logic and Updating
    Enhancements to UI Logic
    Regarding to your questions:
    1. If the infotype is decoupled, even the HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION will call these business checks and time constraint checks. Right ? So, what is the major advantage of moving to HR_ECM_INSERT_INFOTYPE ?
I suppose it has been done to follow the same logic as SAP does in PA-EC component
For example to adjust a salary in ECM SAP uses FM HR_ECM_ACTIVATE_SAL_ADJUSTMENT meanwhile it uses FM HR_ECM_INSERT_INFOTYPE to update IT0008
    2. Is there some trick to enable HR_ECM_INSERT_INFOTYPE call the user exits of the Infotype ?
I think there is no standard way to do so...
It is a good idea to follow the standard enhancement concept for decoupled infotypes, at least I see no problems in moving the old enhancement to a new one.
    Kind regards,
    Sergey

  • ECM spent budget was clean up when approval manager reject an org unit?

    Hi HR Experts,
When an approval manager rejects an org unit, the spent budget of this org unit is clean up but the budget still distributed to each employee in that org in the infotype 0759 therefore leads to inconsistency of budget in ECM.
Is there any body experience this issue?
    Thanks,
    Duy

i lived through this painful process very much, we made a quick SM30 tcode transaction to be able to do data maintenace on HRPADPM - this is where the budget spent amount is actually saved.
the key for this table is stored on the budget unit to org unit relationship in HRP1001.
if anyone has a better process to fix out sync spent budgets please let us know...

  • Org Unit Asssignment for Activities

    Hi,
We have recently upgraded from CRM 4.0 --> 5.0 SP 11, for certain individuals who now create data in the mobile applicatio and conntrans it ,  the Organizational Unit is not being assigned to the activities that they are creating. The Sales Organisation and Distribution Channel get passed up/assigned correctly.
What may be causing this to occur. Note, this is only effecting certain individuals as others who create activities/transactions in the mobile application and contranns it up, the data is assigned correctly (the Org Unit is assigned).
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Dan

    Dear Raul,
This means the org unit has an incorrect status to allow for activation The activation program checks that the org. unit has the status 'Approved' or, if no responsible approving manager exists in the system, the status 'Complete'.
When the status of the org. unit is approved using the planning overview, this status is written to the process support table
rather than the infotype 0759.  The status in Infotype 0759 remains 'Submitted'.
In order to activate the records, you therefore want to enter Process status from = 'Submitted,' and Process Status to   = 'Active' in report RHECM_CHANGE_PROC_STATUS.
Report RHECM_CHANGE_PROC_STATUS allows such entries if:
    1.  Customizing view V_T71ADM26 has 'Enable Approval Process' checked. (which is the case in your system for MS11 and you are then approving using the planning overview).
    2.  The status of the org. unit(s) to which the employee is assigned is approved.
Please note that the second check mentioned (which prevents the activation of records which have not yet been approved) is only performed after note 1478804 has been implemented in your system.

  • What is SAP standard program to delete values in the table HRPADPM for ECM?

    Hi Experts,
I have problem of inconsistency between HRPADPM and infotype 0759. I want to make this consistent, how do I do that? if not, how do I clean up the data of these tables?
    Thanks,
    Anthony

    Hi,
I'm afraid in standard SAP do not have such report.
As a workaround you could try the following: The correction would consist of the following steps:
    1) remove the link between the budget and the IT0759 in the IMG step "Assign Compensation Review Item Attributes"
Here you will need to remove the "Budget Type"
    2) Then you should delete the IT0759 records for which the budget was not updated (revert the process completely, this means that if the status of IT0759 is "active" you will need to check IT0008 also)
    3) next step will be to reset the link removed in step 1) betweenthe budget and the IT0759
    4) create new IT0759 records as initially intended
Please note that you should try this in a test or development system first and check if everything worked well before using it in the production system.
    Hope this help

  • IDOCs in CM

    Hello
I am implementing Compensation Management in 4.7 vs 2 which would allow for merit increases to be given through MSS.With that workflow in mind, how would IDOC's come into picture for the entire project. I dont have much idea abt IDOC's . As of now, PY is done thru ADP and they use IDOC's for that here.
Please do suggest how do I move fwd
    Thanks

I don't see the relevance of IDocs in the context of ECM & MSS. The merit increases will initially be stored in infotype 0759. But once it is approved, it will be distributed across 0008,0015 & 0267 depending on the type of merit increase ie salary hike, lumpsum bonus etc.. These records will be passed onto ADP just like any other payroll data..

  • ECM - no status update of IT0759 to "approved"

    Dear all
We are using the new iView "Planning Overview" in MSS for the higher-level Managers to review the planning of their subordinate organizational units. When an organizational unit is completed and the higher-level Manager reviews this organizational unit and rejects the planning, the status in Infotype 0759 (data field: CSTAT) of the corresponding person which are assigned to this organizational unit is updated to to "rejected". However if I approve the organizational unit the status in Infotype 0759 is not updated to "approved".
Does somebody know about this problem?
    Kind regards,
    Isabelle

    Hi,
This is what SAP says for report RHECM_CHANGE_PROC_STATUS (Change Compensation Process Status):
If the Multilevel Approval Process has been enabled for the selected compensation review(s), then this report can be executed to change the status of Compensation Process infotype (0759) records directly from Submitted to Active, without the intermediate status of Approved that is required in an employee-based approval process. Therefore, if you employ the Multilevel Approval Process for a particular compensation review, then it is imperative that you check the approval status of that review before you use this report to change the status of the associated infotype records.
To this end, when the Multilevel Approval Process is active for the compensation review at hand, always execute the Display Compensation Planning Progress report and review its output before you execute this report.
For the Multilevel Approval Process, the permissibility of status changes for compensation reviews is configured in Customizing for Enterprise Compensation Management (PA-EC), under Compensation Administration ® User Interface Settings ® Define Attributes for Planning Overview.

  • ECM Records Created with $0.00

We are setting up Enterprise Compensation Management in ECC 5.0 with MSS.  During the Compensation Planning phase in MSS, where you create adjustments for employees (i.e. merit increases, bonuses, etc.), any employees who are eligible but not granted an adjustment are still having infotype 0759 records created with a value of $0.00, and are then included in the approval process.  There must be a way to control the creation of these records and exclude any employees that are skipped (which defaults to a value of $0.00).  Any ideas?

    Thanks for the quick response.
We tried that approach initially but, unfortunately, it is not a complete solution.  It does eliminate the record creation for employees listed that do not have any comp adjustments, but that idea does not work entirely when you want to perform an adjustment for one employee.
In a Comp Review period, if you select an employee for 1 plan, it selects them for all plans, and the same if you deselect them.  So, if you have more than one compensation type in your review period (like merit increase and equity adjustment), and only want to grant a merit increase, then the equity adjustment is automatically select too, and an infotype 759 record is created for merit with your specified dollar amount, and one for equity with value $0.00.

  • MSS---Compensation----Review Planning Approval Status Problem

    Hi All,
I configured MSS Compensation Review Planning successfully, i was able to see my reporting structre in Review Planning iView properly.
I am having my organizational structure with five level approvals.
Whan i was submitting Compensation plan for my employees as an first level manager it went to higher level for approvals. as an higher level manager i rejected what ever the lower level manager was submitted for approvals. The status "rejection" was updating fine in infotype 0759 without running any reports.
again i submitted for approval as an first level manager to higher level manager for approval, this time i approved as an higher level but the "Approved" status is not updating in infotype 0759.
We are facing this issue with all level managers.
This is the first i am configuring MSS EHP4 Compensation Review Planning.
If any one facing this issue and having solution, please provide the proper solution.
    Thanks in Advance.
