Initial download of taxes from R/3 to CRM

Hi all,
The system is live for few months and now we had a problem with a download of a customer. The problem was related to incorrect taxes configuration. Now we corrected the taxes mapping between R/3 to CRM in R/3. The same configurations needs to be present in CRM.
Hence I will use the download object "DNL_CUST_TAX" and download the tax information to CRM.
My basic doubt is when I start an intial download again
a. will it delete all the tax information and recreate again all the tax information.
b. or will it modify the existing records and add whichever record missing (step b drawback is, it will not delete the records which were deleted in R/3).
Any idea. Any help will be highly appreciated.

jothi,
in our case, for some reasons not all taxes configurations where downloaded in the first place. Hence we had to make manual entries in CRM so that the check gave a green light.
Afterwards, we have downloded DNL_CUST_TAX several times and it did not overwrite our manual entries.
This our experience. If you have the chance, I would still suggest that you test this in your on development environment if you have any.

Errors in Initial Download of Customer_Main from R/3 to CRM 4.0

I came across couple of errors in BDOc validataion while downloading CUSTOMER_MAIN.
I had downloaded all customizing objects listed in help.sap.com, but i still got errors like 'region not defined for country' and 'tax category does not exit'.
Can these errors be rectified by downloading customized objects likeDNL_CUST_TAX and any other.
Here are couple other errors, I am unable to understand the context of these. Can anyone tell me what its saying and what corrections can be done.
1. The use of the last 10 characters in field SORT1 is restricted (19 of 20)
2. The use of the last 10 characters in field Search Term 1 is restricted (>10 of 20)
3. Grouping has external number assignment, enter the nuber.
Any help is greatly appriciated.

Jay,
R/3 should have a customer number, because the number is used as the key in table KNA1. There's probably an error in the mapping of the R/3 customer number to the CRM number.
Check out table CRMKUNNR in R/3 (which should contain the mapping between the R/3 number and the CRM guid)
and table CRMM_BUT_CUSTNO in CRM (which should contain the mapping between the guid and the business partner number). If these entries are inconsistent (like an empty field for customernr.), they must be corrected.
If not, check the bdoc and find the entry where a guid is present, but the number is missing.

Delta download of customizing from R/3 to CRM

Hello Gurus
Need help. I am trying to automate download of customizing changes from R/3 to CRM.
Example:
I create a new shipping condition in customizing in the R/3 /Logistics Execution->Basic Shipping Functions>Shipping Point and Goods Receiving Point Determination>Define Shipping Condition/. In other words a new entry /ZZ/ into the table.
I hope for an automated upload of the new entry from R/3 to CRM, instead when I used the new shipping condition for a Business partner I received in SMW01 /The shipping condition ZZ does not exist/
What was done:
R3AC4 - Set Up Delta Load set up object CONDCUSTOMIZING from the R/3 RFC connection with entry:
00503308 / CONDCUSTOMIZING / CRS_MAINTAINANCE_CHECK - this entry appeared after initial download
TX: R3AS - downloaded object: DNL_CUST_SHIP
TX: R3AM4 - object green
On the R/3 side in table TBE31 the event exists with the correct function
What am I missing please?

Hello Martin,
as much as I know there's no delta download of customizing from R/3 to CRM (at least up until CRM 4.0).
This means that you have to start download object DNL_CUST_SHIP as soon as you maintain a new shipping condition in R/3.
I had this problem a year ago. I solved with the following workaround:
1. Create a variant for report SMOF_DOWNLOAD containing download object DNL_CUST_SHIP
2. Plan this report as job running every hour or so.
The only problem is if you maintain a new value in R/3 and use this new value with a R/3 customer before the download ran.

You can download organization from R3 to CRM in the following way.
go to SPRO -> Customer Relationship Management -> Master Data -> Organization Management -> Data Transfer -> Copy SAP ECC Sales Structure. This is the place from where you can replicate the sales structure from ECC. You can have a look at the IMG Implementation Guide for a more detailed information.
As for the BP not coming as an Organization, you need to activate the switch to integrate the BP and Organization functionality. The link for the same is given below:
SPRO -> Customer Relationship Management -> Master Data -> Business Partner -> Integration Business Partner-Organization Management --> Set up Intergration with Organization Management . Here you need to activate the following Switch - HRALX OBPON ON Integration O-BP Activated.

Downloading Master data from R/3 to CRM

Hi all,
Inorder to download Master data from R/3 to CRM, first we need to download all relavent customizing and condition objects, is this is the correct procedure. Pls anyone clarify this.
If we make any changes to the data in R/3 which is already downloaded to CRM, will those changes replicate in CRM, inorder to replicate those changes in CRM what are the necessary things to be done.
please anyone clarify on this

Hi Phani -
You will need to download all the condition and customizing objects which are relavant for the data you are replicating. Else you will get errors.
Ans to 2nd part of your Q - you can do this by doing a delta load.

Downloading business Partner from R/3 to CRM

Can any one pls help me how to transfer business partner from R/3 to CRM system? If it can be done through ALE pls explain me the detailed step how to do it like wht message type should be used etc. If there are some other way pls let me know.

download of BP will be done from CRM to R/3 will be done and from R/3 to CRM it will be upload
and this process is done through middleware with adaptors and plug ins which build relation b/w R/3 and CRM servers
and before downloading we have to do fielsmaping i.e. which fields are mandatory, optional, that too b/w account group og R/3 and BP role of
CRM this is the process
it requires basic settings and there r two types of downloads they are initial and delta downloads initial is one time activity and delta is ongoing activity where ever u create customer in R/3 it should replicate in CRM and the same case with CRM to R/3

Vendor is getting downloaded as Organisation from R/3 to CRM

While downloading vendors from R/3 to CRM, the vendor is getting created successfully under role vendor. However, if I assign vendor to title of person in R/3 (as Mr., Mrs etc), it gives me validation error related to title.
In short it allows me only to download vendor with title of org. (e.g. Company, M/s etc)
Is there any customization setting where I can allow the vendor to be created as person (with title Mr, Mrs etc).
Vendor role BBP000 is assigned to both business partner category of person as well as organisation. While downloading under which partner category it will be created.

How to download factory calendar from R/3 to CRM

I have tried to search some threads regarding this topic but not get any answers.
Can someone help me on steps on how to download the factory calendar from R/3 to CRM?
I have tried to do through request (R3AR2) but it did not recognize the table TFACD in R/3.

I did a little of Google on the Factory Calendar Stuff and got to know that you can Transport a Factory Calendar from one system to another. You can have a look at the Factory Calendar Customization from where you can the information about how to transfer it from one system to another. I have never worked in this but thought it might be a little help to you.

Error while downloading Business Partners from R/3 to CRM in Inbound que

Hi Experts,
I am getting function module "PMPAY/P_CHK_MC" not found error in Inbound queue of CRM while downloading customers from CRM to R/3. I checked this FM is not exist in CRM.
Why this is FM required in CRM, any way to skip this error?

Go to IMG>CRM>Basic Functions>Payment Cards>Basic Settings>Maintain Payment Card Type> Here take out checking rule values example 1234 which is assigned to Type. If this dont resolve let me know I will check tomorrow in my system as I dont have access to system now.

Replication of customers from R/3 to CRM

Hi everybody,
After completion of Initial Download of data from R/3 to CRM ,the customers replicate crm.
But my doubt is once we do initial download then the customers which are in R/3 in bulk are replicated to R/3.But there are few customers which are still replicated from R/3 daily.
So I want to know the reason for this replication even though after the initial download is completed.
please help me.

Step 1:After completing Initial Download tranfer of data takes place from R/3 to CRM system in the form of Customers or employess.
Bulk data will be flown in the first step.
I f there are any errors ,we solve the errors and replicate them manually by using CRMM_BUPA_map.
Step2:There are few customers which are created daily in SAP SD or R/3 and these customers are transfered from R/3 to CRM .
So my question is Is this b'cos of Delta Download or Bcoz of some other Reason.
If so "Is there any specific name for this.

After I got some errors(COMM_PR_MAT, COMM_PR_SHTEXT) during initial download of materials from R/3 > CRM I found the below helpful information here in the forum. So I checked the assignments of the hierarchy R3PRODSTYP in CRM. Only COM_PR_LGTEXT1 and COM_PR_GTIN were asigned to category MAT_. How can I set these missing assignments? Thanks in advance.
In addition, the SAP-defined CRM set types are assigned to the categories of the hierarchy R3PRODSTYP as follows:
○ The following set types are assigned to the category MAT_:
■ COMM_PR_MAT (basic data on materials)
■ COMM_PR_SHTEXT (description)
■ COMM_PR_UNIT (conversion of units of measure)
■ COMM_PR_LGTEXT1 (basic texts)
As a result, these set types are inherited by all material types.
○ The following set types are also assigned to the category MAT_ if the status Sales is assigned to the material type in the ERP system:
■ CRMM_PR_SALES (sales: distribution chain)
■ CRMM_PR_SALESA (sales: control fields, units of measure, and quantities)

○ DNL_CUST_PROD3 (material statuses in sales and distribution)

Hi Rahul,
If you are done with all your middleware settings (Refer Best practices 1. Generation 2. Connectivity 3. Customizing replication) then you should be ableto see the ERP material in CRM.
Review the documents and check if you have done the settings properly as per the document.
If yes then perform Initial Load R3AS trx for MATERIAL object. Check your filter settings for MATERIAL in R3AC1 trx.

Initial download of CUSTOMER

Hi Gurus,
we're performing the initial download of customers from ERP to CRM systems, but we're facing a problem.
The problem is that some customers in ERP doesn't have the postal code and so the BDocs are in error.
We have mapped the postal code as Optional in customizing (CRM - Cross Application components - SAP Business Partner - Business Partner - Basic Settings - Field Groupings - Configure field attributes per BP role), but when we create a request for customers the BDocs retrieve us the same message.
How can we get it? Is there any other setting to do in order to solve the problem?

To Change VAT Registration Number
You can change the tax number for a business partner with this method.

To Delete VAT Registration Number
You can delete the tax number for a business partner with this method.

Materials are not downloading automatically from R/3 to CRM

Dear All,
My R/3 team has created 10 new u201Cmaterialsu201D in R/3 system and these materials suppose to interface to CRM automatically, but it was not.
Before creating these new u201Cmaterialsu201D in R/3 I should have download the u201Cmaterial groupsu201D to CRM. But mistakenly I created the material in R/3 on 14/04/2009 and I downloaded the material groups to CRM on 16/04/2009.
Does u think this delay stopping automatic u201Cmaterialsu201D replication from R/3 to CRM?
I even check for middleware errors in SMW01, but i did not find any error messages.

I undersatnd that, before we download the "materials from" R/3 to CRM, "material groups" must be exist as "categories" in CRM system.
Materials created in R/3 on 13/04/2009, but materials groups have been downloaded to CRM on 16/04/2009, that's why system unable to interface the materials to CRM automatically.
System tried to interface the new materials on 13/04/2009 but it could not , because new material groups not available in CRM at that time.
Since our material groups are existed in CRM system, we would like to download the 10 newly created materials from R/3 to CRM system.
Please tell me what load i have to execute ?
R3AS (Adapter object -Material) - Initial donwload ?
R3AR4 (Adapter object -Material) - Start request ?
Is there any way to system to donwload them automatically ?

Initial download DNL_CUST_CNDALL failed

Hi,
I am doing initial download of DNL_CUST_CNDALL from ECC6 to CRM7.0. it was shown as as successful in R3AM1 but no data was transferred. When I checked in SLG1 and CND_MAP_LOG_DISPLAY it shows the error message " Value correction USE_NAMESPACE in table /SAPCND/T681 failed"
Any idea what could be the problem. RFC connection etc are working fine as i could load some other object.

CRM table /SAPCND/T681T is a text table for table /SAPCND/T681. In the R/3 system, the corresponding text table T681T has a key field SETYP which no longer exists in the CRM table.
If these records are exchanged between the R/3 OLTP system and CRM system, the system updates that record with the first SETYP value which occurs in exchange object, generally, this is inital, and all other records can no longer be updated due to identical key and system issues the error.
You can also refer to note 314315 for detailed understanding.

Initial download of CUSTOMER_MAIN

We are performing initial download of Customers from ECC To CRM.
We set filters on CUSTOMER_MAIN Object and performed the initial download.
Due to the filters, none of the customers downloaded into the CRM System as all customers got filtered out.
Now we deleted some of the filters from the CUSTOMER_MAIN Object and tried to perform the initial download. but still no customers are downloading into CRM.
Can anybody provide us with help.
