Initial tests in BSP

Hi,
I'm initializing in BSP Application and I'd like know what are the basics data or customizing to execute some BSP Application of test (ex. tutorial_1).
I tried execute but I had problem with URL and I have some doubts about the process.

If so you are missing the full domain name.

Does the browser give an error about the service? If so check under SICF again to be sure the service is active.

Oops..thats weird.
Tell me one thing...then how gud is the code generated in terms of working...if someone has to really test the code pre-hand for expected business logicWhy i am raising this concern is becoz there are many features for which OWB provides support in indirect way(workaround) like exists/not exists.
Do we need to deploy mapping each time and then test through a run from Control centre?
Other thing, As far i understand, the code generated is not in such a format that one can directly copy paste it in any sql/plsql editor and test it...

Custom fields for ROS initial page in BSP application

Hi,
We want to add some more customer fields in ROS initial page, for example TIN number. We have added a field to ZZTIN in the include CI_CUF_REQ_FIELDS of structure ROS_CUF_REQ_FIELDS and also implemented BAdI ROS_REQ_CUF. After adding custom codes in BSP application ROS_SELF_REG under page u201Caddress.htmu201D we are able to see this field in the initial registration page.
Now the question is WE ARE UNABLE TO KNOW HOW TO STORE THE VALUE ENTERED HERE. We are facing below issues.
(1)     If we try to input ZZTIN to structure u201Cgs_address u201C it is asking us to add custom fields here also.
(2)      But when we tried to append ZZTIN to structure BAPIBUS1006_ADDRESS, it is not allowing to activate it.
(3)     We have also appended ZZTIN to ADRC table. How can we input to ADRC table from here?

Initial testing Multisim + ULTIboard Buglist

I have been testing Multisim and ULTIboard (V10.0.144) for 1 day to see whether it really works and is usable.
I'm still working with Ulticap and Ultiboard V5.7x and consider changing over.
I have found the following problems in the process of Schematic-entry to layout.
Multisim
1. Netnames can not have delimiters like + and -.That is not so nice, specially, since imported schematics allow this and are not checked for this.
2. Once a schematic is transferred to ULTIboard, the router only routes on the top layer. This is caused by an incorrect setting in Multisim (routing layer is set to top by default.
This propagates via the netlist to ULTIboard. Manual routing is not limited.
3. Multisim allows enabling of gate and pin swap. The default is OFF. This should probably be ON.
4. gate swap know On/Off, but ultiboard interprets On as "Internal swaps only". The designed obviously did not know the idea behind this. Ultiboard allows inter-gate swaps if the other (common connections) match with the other package. Thus Ultiboard should interpret ON as "Advanced swapping". 5. After gateswap (in ULTIboard) and backannotation into Multisim, the unused gate list does not represent the new situation. When placing new gates, one can place a gate that is already in use.
6. The Reports "Bill of material, "Netlist report" and "Spare gate report" lack a CSV (comma or tab separated) list. If excell is not available, but OpenOffice or a database is, there is no way to get there. Oddly enough, the spreadsheet view does allow CSV output....., but does not have a BOM.
ULTIboard
1. Slotted holes can be made and show correctly. However in the DRILL file, it is wrong. In my case, a horizontal slot came out vertically. A vertical slot also vertically.
2. A forward annotate to ULTIboard un-places parts that are updated. This is NEVER what you want. Specially if you want to change all resistors and capacitors to a different SMT shape.
3. Gate swapping in Ultiboard does NOT allow to swap to unused gates. This makes the function sort of useless. It must allow to swap to ALL (identical) gates in a package.
4. The pin swap function does not show which pins can be swapped. You now have to rely in Click-and-miss.
3. There should be an option per component, to exclude it from component shoving. Think of a heat sink or RF shielding can, that must be placed over other parts.
Note that I have not done any serious tests on the gerber and drill output.
I know that this is a 'negative' list, but these are not difficult issue to solve and do make the package workable.
Also, I do like a number of important features that do work:
- Multiple instances of a single (hierarchical) sheet
- Automatic sheet symbol creation/update
- Copper in footprints
- drawing on any layer, allowing for proper production preparation.

Multisim
For the next update (date TBA) we are allowing delimiters in more parts of the suite (Multisim and Ultiboard) which were previously forbiden. However, specifically for netnames we have not yet implemented the ability to use delimiters. We are currently working to overcome this limitation in the mid-term.
This has been fixed in two phases, one was added to the 10.1 release, and the other phase will be added in our next update (date TBA).

My brand new printer LaserJet Pro MPF M127fn won't print after initial test print worked fine

Just installed this printer. USB connection to my PC. Test prints worked fine. Suddenly has stop printing from Word or emails.

On your Mac, open:
System preferences > Network > (whatever your connection) and examine the IPv4 Address.
Wired routers most often use local addresses in the 192.168.xxx.yyy range
Wireless Routers most often use local addresses in the 10.10.xxx.yyy range.
These ranges (along with a few others) are reserved for sets of "private" addresses, that are not visible on the Internet.
The Router will usually be located at kkk.lll.mmm.01
Whatever the range you are using, all the devices with similar addresses can talk freely to each other without any intervention. Any devices with sharply different addresses (such as the entirety of the Internet) must use the Router as their "agent" to communicate.
You want your printers to have addresses in the same range as everything else. If you find you have two non-overlapping ranges active, you will need to demote one of your Routers to be only a wireless access point, not a full Router.

Port problem when testing bsps (sso)

I am facing a problem when testing bsps or wd4a.
When testing an app, first of all the sicf service "myssocntl" gets called. This service listens under port 50077. But when testing the bsp app port 57700 gets called.
Any ideas, where I can customize these ports?

When i tried to open the component in dev system, runtime error is coming but while this component is tried in sandbox this error is not there, can you help to find that diffrence.
One more observation that, RT repository is not loaded in dev while is it sucessfully loaded in sandbox.
NB: one more request , here we are trying to add po_box into this component but AET not supported.

SSO to BSP

Hi everybody,
I've tried to perform SSO to an BSP from Portal through the AppIntegrator Generic iView Template.
So I didn't used the BSP Template.
First I created a system from par file sap.com.portal.howtos.webapp and made all the settings.
After that I have sat the user mapping for the created system.
Next I created an iView from the com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.Generic. I performed all the settings.
As URL Template: <System.protocol>://<System.server>:<System.port>/<System.uri>?<Authentication>
URl template for user mapping:
login=<MappedUser>&passwd=<MappedPassword>
When I tested the BSP, I first got the browser message that session management will not work. After I turned the alert off in Support - > SAP Application, I got to the logon of the BSP Application, so SSO didn't worked.
So, is it att all possible to set SSO to a BSP like for normal Web Applications? And if yes what could be wrong?

I solved the problem described above. This means I am now able to perform SSO to an BSP with UIDPW like to any other Web Application.
But I've done this through an Gereric AppInt iView not through the BSP template. The reason therefore is that I tried to establish SSO between the portal and the R/3 system. I've done all the settings in the System. Imported the certificate nad set the profile parameters. In transaction SSO2 I saw that the system is ready to accept logon tickets from my Portal server.
In the system landscape I've created an " SAP System with connection string", because I'm accessing the system through an SAProuter. But when I try to test the connection through
Support - > SAP Application I get the message "host ? unknown".
so my guess is that the connection string is not ok. But I am using the same one as in the SAP GUI where it works? So maybe some tipps.
Maybe I can also use an "dedicated system"?

Error Message: Number is not in external Interval (Testing Schedule)

Iam working on Stability study process. I have maintained stabity test with materiial (QS) & performed my test upto Initial test of Inspection lot. But when i click create Testing Scheudle in the Notification (QM02) , system asks for testing schedule data for
Maintenane strategy, scheduling period.
On clciking create testing schedule , system throws error message "Number is not in external interval". I have maintained all the prerequite setting on number range in following spro path stability study>testing schedule for stability study> Category--> no range.
For Group ST 600000000- 6999999999 for Intenal & 70000000-7999999999 for external. But still iam facing with error message ""Number is not in external interval". It throws message no "IP324" . Even I had cross checked with maintenance setting, but error message remains . How to resolve this issue?

did you actually enter a number ( i.e. 70000001)?
Usually Stability studies are created using the external number range so that ringing names can be used for the studies:
Example:
Material: 000000000000000001 acetylsalicylic acid
Stability study: ASA1

How do you stop BSPs on WebSEAL for asking for user-credentials?

We are currently having an issue with BSP Pages. When we test the BSP pages on the R/3 system they work OK. When we test them directly on the Portal then they too also work. The problem is that they are not working properly on our Intranet.
The intranet that we use is an IBM Tivoli product (also known as WebSEAL). We currently have WebSEAL SSO to our SAP Portal. This is working OK. When we use WebSEAL to access the portal we are prompted to enter our user-id and password so that the BSP page can be displayed. This should not be happening and it defeats the purpose of SSO. I have attached a screen shot document to demonstate this.
Some time ago we had a similar issue where the transactions on the portal (when executed from WebSEAL) were giving us a Webdynpro time-out error. I later determined that the cookie information was not being passed to WebSEAL. To fix this, I went to the Visual Administrator and went to server >> services >> web container and for the web container "sap.com/irj" I went to the cookie configuration to add a session cookie. By doing this I fixed my previous problem.
Coming back to my problem, I had a junction created in WebSEAL to point to the bsp directory (sap/bc/sap/bsp/*) on the host concerned. I had both a SSL and TCP junction created both resulted in error messages - stating that the client (SAP) is asking for user credentials.
Hoping that I have provided enough information above my question is as follows:
(1) How can I get the BSP messages to work on WebSEAL such that it will not ask for user credentials to be entered? Would this involve making a further change to a Web Container? If so - which container also needs a session cookie to be generated?

My security department have logged a call with IBM 2 days ago yet have not received any response.
In your document you mention that you need to have a junction to AS-JAVA and a junction to AS-ABAP.
We have created the junctions "/sapep" (for AS-JAVA) and "saphr1" (for AS-ABAP).
The junction /sapep" also contains the junction mapping entries "/irj/" and "/SSOTicket/".
The direct URL to the hidden image is : https://uadsfi01.auiag.corp:53001/SSOTicket/1x1.gif. I have tested this (using my user id and password) and it works OK.
When testing the image through TAM (https://test.insideiaghome.iaglimited.net/sapep/SSOTicket/1x1.gif) we get an "unexpected authentication challenge"
I have reviewed the log below and it seems that we are having an authentication issue with the image:

When logging into the SAP Portal directly general user ids have no problem accessing this (Non-Administrator portal users), however through Tivoli it is causing an issue.

The User logging into the Portal has the suggested 2 roles for Course Player and Learner.
Can you suggest if there is any other solution that you can think off?

Data of customize BSP in Enterprise Portal is not displayed

Dear All,
I stuck on to find out the solution, in order to display FAQ list in BSP Enterprise Portal by using customer id to logon to Enterprise Portal, need your guide.
Let me explain:
It is customize/own develop BSP application, which is search FAQ (maintain in trxn: crmd_iia_faq) based on product. This is done by calling standard FAQ FM in BSP code, pass in product GUID to retrieve list of FAQs, and display FAQs list in the BSP page. Also, from the FAQ details, call standard Problem and Solution FM to get the details of Problems and Solutions, and then display Problems and Solution in another BSP page.
In the other words, this custom BSP application display data which is maintain in transaction code: COMMPR01, CRMD_IIA_FAQ, and IS01.
Setup in portal to display this iview/BSP application is done, because I manage to access the main BSP page in portal after logon with customer ID.
Difference result:
1.     Run BSP standalone in CRM:
When I execute/run/test this bsp application standalone in se80 after logon to sapgui by using customer id, bsp data is displayed, which is working fine.
2.     When I access/run this bsp through portal after logon portal with customer id, bsp data is not displayed, which is not working correctly.
Things that I had tried:
1.     customer user profile:
     Tried assign different profiles of customer id, my problem is not solved. I even add SAP_ALL profile to customer ID.
[Result] no BSP data is displayed.
2.     customer user role:
     standard role, SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER (assign standard role to customer ID):
a.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Look for standard role in assignment of crm object method to role -> get a standard role which is relate to problem and solution: SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER.
b.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Navigation (URL generation) -> assign portal role to single role -> SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER is assigned to portal role: com.sap.pct.crm.channelmanager.
c.     Go to trxn code: SU01 -> add role, SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER into customer ID.
d.     run the portal and access BSP application
[Result] no BSP data is displayed.
     Create new role, ZSAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER:
a.     go to trxn code: PFCG -> copy standard role, SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER to customize role -> access authorization tab -> look for authorization for BSP applications -> change Application Scenario and View for UI display to *.
b.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Application/Layout -> add new entry to View, view named as Z_ESERVICE.
c.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> add new entries into assignment of crm object method to role (copy SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER).

d.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Navigation (URL generation) -> assign portal role to single role -> ZSAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER is assigned to portal role: com.sap.pct.crm.channelmanager.

     Maintain existing customize role, which is used to display Activity:
a.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Navigation (URL generation) -> assign portal role to single role, I check the configuration has done in CRM to assign/map this BSP role to portal role.
b.     go to trxn code: PFCG -> open existing customize role -> access Authorization tab -> click on "change authorization" button -> search existing Application scenario -> add '' inside (also try with certain standard scenario which is relate to product, FAQ, solution, problem) -> search existing view for UI display -> add "".
a.     run the portal and access BSP application
[Result] no BSP data is displayed.
Questions:
1.     Is my problem related to role setup of customer ID? If yes, can guide me how to create authorization, which is related to product, FAQ, problem, and solution, to customer ID?
2.     Is it possible that my problem cause by missing/wrong portal role setup or wrong mapping between CRM role to Portal Role? If yes, can guide me how to check authorization of customer ID in portal, which is related to product, FAQ, problem, and solution?
3.     Any other reason that cause this problem?

If you know the BSP application name, then you can check this on /SE80 and get the bsp component details.

Need to install Visual C++ 2010 in MDT before performance testing.

Hi all,
I'm in a situation in which I'm deploying a laptop over MDT, and the display driver is captured by MDT fine. However, upon initial boot after installing the OS, I come across this error when running WINSAT.exe; "The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll
is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem." This isn't the first report I've seen of ATI drivers triggering this, but I'm stuck with it regardless.
This is attributed to a component of Visual C++ 2010 not being installed. (It's not preinstalled in our capture, and I'm trying to avoid having to do that again.)
Being that we're a 0-touch organization when imaging, I need a way to remedy this. I'm currently trying to run the install, 'vcredist_x86.exe /q:a' from "run a command line" (sourced on the server's C:\ drive) before the performance tests,
but I can't find a proper place to put this command at in the task sequence. Is this even a viable method? Is there a method to skip WINSAT.exe pre-boot? My initial tests with this aren't working.
Any advice or pointers appreciated!

Normally I think WinSAT is only relevant when deploying the image to your targeted computers (hardware). So why not integrate Visual C++ components into your reference image?
At the customer I'm currently working for we also put all our Visual C++ installations in the so called Build image.
