Input processing in Sub-Controllers ?

Hi All,
I am working on a BSP using MVC, the app has main_CTRL which calls a main_view ->
which is a htm page with three frames F1, F2, F3.
F1 and F2 have header details and menu items.
When user clicks on the menu item on F2, it opens the corresponding view on F3.
The view for F3 is opened using SUB_CTRL3
F3 takes input from the user and on clicking a button,  should post the data into SAP.
The issue is that the dispatch_input ( ), calls do_handle_data and do_handle_event
only for the main_CTRL and not for sub controllers?
Is there a way in which you can invoke do_handle_data and do_handle_event at
sub controller level - SUB_CTRL3?

Hello Chen,
You need to make the changes in your code logic to activate the Sub-controller active . I think In your current application you are making only the main controller as a active controller.
Hope this helps.
Thnaks,
Greetson

I would suggest reading the pdf files from Siemens.
you can also find some files in www.easymarketplace.de
but the best thing to do would be to practise a lot in a test system and get the overview from people who worked in AR for atleast 6 months....
the pdf files, though they are comprehensive are very intricate and never explain the entire business scenario in simple words..

  • Process of Sub Assets

    Hi Gurus,
Can you please tell me the process of Sub Assets in AUC and in normal assets as well?
How to capitalize it, retire it, what to do if any sub assets is gone for repairing?
    Please revert asap.
    Thank You

    Hi,
A sub asset is one ore more subs on an main asset.
When you use investment orders/projects I think you can't use sub-assets.
When you have sub-assets for AUC in asset accounting it is possible.
Sub assets you are use to make a group of assets that belongs to one object.
In the fieldstatus you can set up the copy rules from the main asset to the sub-asset and what you can change.
In the sub asset you can have different depreciation rules, cost center,.. from the main asset.
Like the boulding (main asset) depreciation is 40 years. In year 5 you do an investment then you say 35 years
You have to retire the main and sub assets separate
How and if to use sub assets is based on your requeirements, first the requirements and then to found a solution and not the way arround otherwise you have still 100 options

  • Business Process and sub Process IN ERM and CUP

    Hi Friends,
We are in intial stage of GRC implimentation. Now I am uploading the roles into ERM and CUP. I have defined business processes and sub processes for the roles and upload the roles successfully in ERM. But when I am doing the same excercise in CUP especially during creation of sub process it is not allowing the charecter "-" in the name space.
E.g. Business process name is EHS-SM (Uploaded to CUP)
Sub process name is EHS-SM1.1 (not allowing to create in CUP wher as successfully created in ERM)
    My question is
    1. why it allows me to do the same thing in ERM but not in CUP.
    2. Is there any way to maintain the name with chaecter "-".
For your information I am in the phase of defining the attributes for the roles.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi all,
I will have a hard time ahead with  BP and SBP. all are in the same format. I dont think my company will agree to change the name of there BP  or SBP because they are thousands in count and also there is no other way around in GRC,
    Let give me a try...
Thanks Guys for your support and time.

  • Business process and sub process in CUP & ERM

    Hi,
We have created Business Processes and Sub- Processes in ERM. But we are not able to view the same when we create a request in CUP.
We have created the Business Processes and Sub- Processes for CUP in Roles -Attributes.These were then visible in the request.
Do we need to create the Processes and Sub-processes independently in both ERM and CUP or should it flow into CUP when roles are imported into CUP from ERM ?
    Thanks and Regards.

    Another important point:
In CUP, Sub Processes are optional, in ERM they are mandatory.
Please make sure you have some in CUP for all your processes.
    Frank.

    Hi,

That is why i got confused.
I have attached an extraction vi ,whose output is E1 and E2 from these two values am finding out the dx/dt( derivative). I have used Ni usb 5133 for the input of that extraction Vi

  • Payroll Log - input,processing and output

    ALL
i have a doubt here and i hope it would be cleared in this forum.
how does values comes in Input, Processing and output in payroll log.... for ex: sap provides detailed explanation in processing step.... where does this stored.... how it is appearing in payroll log.... plz. help to understand this.... Thank you all for your continuous contribution to this forum

    Hi,
I think you are talking about the log that is getting after executing the Payroll.
If so, as an example, kindly goto Factoring and storage and double click on X023 (Gross input and storage).
Here, you can see the Input Table, Processing and Output Table.
If I am not wrong you are talking about the Processing that is displayed here.
If yes, Open the Schema through TCode PE01 and double click the Subschema for Period factoring and storage (INAL is the standard one. But if some 'Z' has been used instead of INAL double click that one). Here you can see  X023 (Gross input and storage). Double click X023 and you can see Rule according to which the Processing is happening.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Issue with RFBIBL00 batch input processing

    Hello ABAP Experts,
I am having issue with a speed of batch input session processing.  If you can please help me resolve the issue.
I have a requirement to post liquidation document to clear open vendor down payment items and then to clear vendor invoice with liquidation.  I have created a custom program to address this requirement where it uses the SAP program and Call Transaction.
For liquidation document posting, I am using the program RFBIBL00.  The custom program has steps:
    1.  Submit RFBIBL00 via job to create batch input session
    2.  Close job
    3.  Submit RSBDCSUB via job to process batch input session
    4.  Close job
    5.  Wait for 15 seconds
    6.  Read job log to get liquidation document number
    7.  If no document posted then display error
The issue is when the job log is read it says u2018Session 10zrsbdcsubxxxxxxx is being processed by user   in mode   on serveru2019 and there is no error message or no document number with message number 312.  So the program displays error message, stops and cannot perform the second step. If I check in the system after a couple of minutes I find the document posted. I also increased the wait time.  But the first record processing always takes longer and the program finds as a failure.  The program can process next several records with success.
I am looking for expert help if you please suggest how to resolve this.
    Thanks & Regards.

  • [solved] pastebinit - Post to pastebin from input process

    Hello,
I just discovered pastebinit [1] which takes a file name and returns the pastebin URL once uploaded.
However, I wonder if there is any way to provide a process input such as from makepkg.
    I tried the following:
    pastebinit < makepkg
But in that case, pastebinit is looking for a file or directory called makepkg. How can I use the output of a process with pastebinit?

  • How the invocation between process and sub-process work?

As I have read throught some posts here and know that the web service whicn is used to trigger the process is asynchronous.
so is the invocation between process and its sub-process asynchronous using web service?
supposed there is a process like below:
    Start Event -
    >Sub-Process ->Automated Task-->EndEvent
    I have some confused questions:
1: is it asyn to invoke the subprocess?
2: if the invocation is asyn, is the next "Automated Task" triggerred before the completion of the nested subprocess? It seems to be, but it is not so reasonable.
3: if the invocation is asyn, how the process get the return value of the nested subprocess?

    Hi John,
the invocation of sub-processes is done via an internal runtime mechanism and not via normal Web Service call.
The sub-process call is synchronous, so the calling process is waiting for the reply from the sub-process. There are a few things to keep in mind when using sub-processes:
If you are branching off parallel execution paths (via a split gateway) within the sub-process and are using a regular end event, only the first token arriving at the end event will return to the calling process. The sub-process will keep running until either the last of its tokens flows into the end event or until the calling process is being terminated. In any case, the calling process will not react to any more tokens arriving at the sub-processes end event.
If you are using parallelism within the sub-process, but want it to terminate once the first token arrives the end, use a terminating end event in the sub-process.
Don't use the correlation condition at the start event of a sub-process. If this condition evaluates to 'false', the sub-process will never be started, but the calling process will wait forever for a reply.
If you want the sub-process call to behave asynchronously, you can model the sub-process to split off a token to the execution path where it does the actual work and have another straight path directly from the split gateway to the (non-terminating) end event. That way the calling process will continue right away, but of course you cannot expect any response coming out of the sub-process.
    Best regards,
    Oliver

  • Querying BPEL process and sub-processes

    Hi there,
I am new to BPEL and in our BPEL process we are calling like 5 other BPEL sub-processes. So assume our BPEL process A calls processes B, C, D, E, and F. Now for our fault handing if for example processes D fails I would like to retire sub-processes A but also sub-process B, C and D.
Can anyone tell me which API would give me this information? Kind of like the tree in the BPEL console where we can see all the child processes.
    Thanks.

    Eric,
No for us we have a generic BPEL error handling process where we are dynamically retiring the calling process. I got the Java API to dynamically retire the main calling process. But my main goal is to retire all the sub process that the main calling process calls as well.
I looked at Matt Wright's Blog : tracing sub process calls within BPEL. He says you can use programatically for each instance one could query using the track of a parent id and root id but I need to get the details on how would I use the API. If you or anyone has that information can you please share that with me. Would really appreciate it.
    Thanks

  • Calling sub controllers in different BSP applications

I try to call in a controller class a sub controller which belongs to another bsp-application (and another dev package)
Here the example of the structure:
    (Package) Z_TST1
    --(Controller class) Z_CO_TST1
    --(BSP-Application) Z_TST1_BSP
    (controller) tst1.do ...
(some additional views, model classes, ...)
    (Package) Z_TST2
    --(Controller class) Z_CO_TST2
    --(BSP-Application) Z_TST2_BSP
    (controller) tst2.do
Now i want to call the controller tst2.do as sub controller in controller class Z_CO_TST1. help.sap.com says its possible to call controllers of other applications:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/21/d8463c9c9ffc3ae10000000a114084/frameset.htm
In controller class Z_CO_TST1 i will do some code like described in help.sap.com:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ce/43473ccf20514ee10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    Thanks for any ideas
    Peter

I'm sorry, but I solved it by my own (today). Solution is to let application_namespace empty and use application_name for the BSP application name you call in the create_controller method. In the view I only call <bsp:call comp_id = 'name_of_controller_id' />. Help.sap.com has more info, than I thought.
    Thanks for answering - Peter.

  • Transaction and Process or sub-Process Automation

I am undertaking a market survey of business process and in particular transaction or sub process automation in the SAP landscape. I am particularly interested in talking to SAP users who are operationally focused or people who are involved in business analysis or operations sustainment roles. The format of the interviews is one-on-one phone or face to face conversations lasting 30 minutes to 1 hour and will be your opportunity to tell me about methods and tools that you use to automate transactions and sub processes, why you do this and perhaps some of the gaps you see in the tools available. Participants in the survey will have the benefit of receiving summaries of the findings of the surveys as well as other research discoveries.  If you are interested in participating then please contact me.

  • Back ground batch input processing error log handling

    Dear Friends,
Currently im am scheduling job for batch processing of goods receipt through bapi, now after the succesfull run of this program im appending all the success and error logs in one internal table and sending this table to spool for future reference.
Is there any other way to handle the error logs??
bcoz in the method im using every time user has to run transaction sp01 to access that spool request to check the error logs.
    Kindly suggest ....
    Regards,
    Sunny V

Best way will be creating Application Logs of the reports log. This will be forever in the system unless you delete it.
Few one time settings are required. After that you can use tcodes
    SLG1 (Analyze application log) and
SLG2 (Application Log: Delete expired logs).
For more info take the help from below link:
    [Create Application Log|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/Helpdata/EN/2a/fa0216493111d182b70000e829fbfe/frameset.htm]
Let me know if you find any difficulty in doing this.
