Inserting an additional and constant title line in a query result

Hi experts,
My problem is as follow :
I have a result table in a web template in which I would like to add a constant-values line between the title line and the data lines :
example
before :
........................... total incomes ($)
Business unit .......     100.000
After
........................... total incomes ($)
..............................(xxxxxx)
Business unit.......... 100.000
xxxxx is the constant text I want to display.
Is it possible ? If so, how to do it ?
Best regards
fred

  • How to show only the result line of a Query result ?

    Hi Experts,
    I want to show only the result line of the Query. Is this possible in query Designer ?
    In BeX Workbook, I can hide the rows but they grow or shrink dynamically and hence it is unpredictable how many rows to suppress.
    If you have any solutions/workarounds, please reply !
    Rekha

    VBA coding can be used to display just the Result rows.
    Somthing like this - modify as needed.
    This scans the range of query results looking to find the last row, then checks those rows to see if the word Result is found or not, deleting (or you could just hide) the detail rows.  There is also a LEAF option in BEx Boolean options that returns a 1 or 0 depending on whether a row is a detail or result that could also be used to hide rows rather than looking for the presence of "Result" in a particular column
    Sub SAPBEXonRefresh(queryID As String, resultArea As Range)
    For rownum = 17 To 64000 Step 1
    ' col 2 is the Total Result, col 3 is the User Group result
    If Cells(rownum, 2) = "" And Cells(rownum, 3) = "" Then
    lastrow = rownum - 1
    Exit For
    End If
    Next
    For rownum = lastrow To 17 Step -1
    If Cells(rownum, 2) = "Result" Or Cells(rownum, 3) = "Result" Then
    Rows(rownum).Hidden = False
    Else
    ' Rows(rownum).Hidden = True
    Rows(rownum).EntireRow.Delete
    End If
    Next
    End Sub

  • Create SP that returns value and at the same time displays query result in output window

    I would like create an SP which will return the records from the table and also return value to my c# client application.
    For Example:
    Select * from employee returns all the query results in output window.
    Now I want to create an SP
    Create procedure Test
    As
    Declare @ret int,
    Select * from employee
    set @ret = Select count(*) from employee
    if @ret > 0
    return 1
    else
    return 0
    The above algo should return 1 0r 0 to c# client application and at the same time display all employees in sql query output window.
    Can u pls help in this regard.

    The above algo should return 1 0r 0 to c# client application and at the same time display all employees in sql query output window.
    Why?  and No!
    Why?  Your procedure generates a resultset of some number of rows.  You check the resultset for the presence of rows to determine if "anything is there".  You don't need a separate value to tell you this.  Note that it helps
    to post tsql that is syntactically correct.   While we're at it, if you just need to know that rows exist there is no need to count them since that does more work than required.  Simply test for existence using the appropriately-named function
    "exists".  E.g., if exists (select * from dbo.employee).
    No!  A stored procedure does not display anything anywhere.  The application which executes the procedures is responsible for the consumption of the resultset; it chooses what to do and what to display.
    Lastly, do not get into the lazy habit of using the asterisk in your tsql code.  That is not best practice.  Along with that, you should also get into the following best practice habits:
    schema-qualify your objects (i.e., dbo.employee)
    terminate every statement - it will eventually be required.

  • CohQL command line Tool select query output in file (unix)

    Ho to insert Coherence CohQL command line Tool select query result in file in unix platform. I have tried below query but failed
    query.cmd -s -c -l "select * from 'dist-example'" >myOutput.txt
    I also tried below query, result is displayed in command line but no file is created in folder.
    select * from dist-example >myOutput.txt
    I also tried one more query, result is displayed in command line but no file is created in folder.
    select * from dist-example >/opt/bin/myOutput.txt

    Hi,
    In Unix you should use query.sh instead of query.cmd
    In your case then the command would be smething like:
    query.sh -s -c -l "select * from 'dist-example'" >myOutput.txt
    You can also try using '>>' instead of '>' in order to redirect to a text file.
    Hope this helps.

  • Cannot query using both conforming and cached query result

    TopLink doesn't allow me to both use conforming and cached query result at the same time.
    Conforming is certainly not a superset of the [cached query result] features.
    Can you confirm that it's a limitation of TopLink?
    Any know workaround to end-up with the same features as using both conforming and cached query result?
    Conforming is about seeing modifications you do in the same transaction. As a bonus, if you query for one object and specify at least the id as criteria because TopLink will have to check in memory anyway it can avoid going to the database.
    But if I do a query like "give me employees hired before now and after 30 days ago" it's about more than one objects and about finding existance so cached query result is needed to get acceptable performance in a complex application trying to avoid the same SQL generated over and over again.

    Thats where the trace just ends? It doesnt look like there's any LIKE or filtering going on (with respect to the Oracle pieces anyway), apparently MSAccess simply requested the whole table.
    What do you mean by 'hang' exactly? Are you sure it's just not taking a long time to complete? How long have you waited? How fast does it complete on the other environment?
    ODBC tracing isnt likely to help much for that. SQLNet tracing would be better to see what is going on at a lower level. Specifically, what is going on at the network level? Is the client waiting for a packet to be returned from the database?
    Is the database having a hard time processing the query, perhaps due to index/tuning issues?
    Assuming that is indeed the query that is "hung", how much data does that return?
    Are you able to reproduce the same behavior with that query and vbscript for example?

    You will need to find a forum for MS Word since that is the software that you are trying to manipulate in this.  If you think the processing/creation of the PDF plays a role then you should ask in the forum for the software that you are using to create the PDF.
    This forum is for issue regarding downloading and installing Adobe trial products, so in any circumstance, your issue does not fit in this forum.

  • My mac is slow, freezing and has horizontal lines.  How do I fix this?

    Hi, my mac is freezing, slowing down and horizontal lines appear.  How do I fix this?

    Run the Hardware Test in Extended mode.
    Using Apple Hardware Test
    Using Apple Hardware Test
    You can use Apple Hardware Test to help determine if there is a problem with your computer’s hardware.
    To use Apple Hardware Test:
    Disconnect all external devices from your computer except the keyboard and mouse. If you have an Ethernet cable connected, disconnect it.
    Insert the “Additional Software & Apple Hardware Test” disc that came with your computer.
    Restart your computer and hold down the “C” key as it starts up. A list of available startup volumes appears. Click Apple Hardware Test and click the right arrow.
    When the Apple Hardware Test main screen appears after about 45 seconds, follow the onscreen instructions.
    If Apple Hardware Test detects a problem, it displays an error code. Make a note of the error code before pursuing support options. If Apple Hardware Test does not detect a hardware failure, the problem may be software related.
    For more information about Apple Hardware Test, see the Apple Hardware Test Read Me file on the “Additional Software & Apple Hardware Test” disc.

  • Aligning and Changing Title Size

    Two questions regarding text size in iMovie (I have the 6.0.3 version). I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding the program or if the questions are very simple, but I've never used iMovie before and haven't had any luck finding answers elsewhere.
    I am making a slideshow consisting of pictures alternating with black slides with still white text.
    1) Under the Titles tab there are two bars to type text into. Lets say the information I need on the slide is more than one line, so I divide it up between the two bars. The second line becomes, for some reason, smaller than the first, even if it has less words. Why is this and can it be changed so that each line is the same size? Also, what if I want more than two lines of text on one slide? When I added another set of text bars it divided the slide into two parts, with the second section of text appearing after the first, so that didn't help.
    2) The arrows where you are supposed to be able to align the text anywhere you want are not highlighted and therefore I can't use them. How do you get them to work?

    You are actually in the im08 forum and you may get better answers by posting there.
    1) The title you are using assumes a main and sub title structure, other titles display differently, indeed there are titles that you can simply insert a block of text (as many lines as will fit on the screen), although off the top of my head I'm not sure which titles they are.
    2) Good example of posting in the correct forum, I don't use im6 as much as I used to and am not exactly sure about the arrows you are referring to. Sorry. Sure some of the other regulars here do though.

  • How do I display course and section titles?

    I am a 'vetran' Lectora and RWD uPerform developer so Captivate is relatively new to me.
    It seems that 'how things are done' in Captivate is very Adobe... powerful BUT relatively convoluted.
    It is very easy to set up the other elearning tools to automatically display the current course name and section titles... however I haven't a clue how this can be accomplished in Captivate 4. I have uploaded a graphic to illustrate what I am asking. Please see the area in the red circle. Can anyone help out?
    Figuring out how to do this by example would be nice, unfortunately, Adobe's included examples offter very little and are generally repeats of the same material. I guess they prefer to sell training, rather than give away their secrets. :-]  On that note, my second question is... what is considered the best on-line or self-paced training for Captivate 4?
    Thank you,
    Doug

    Hello Rick,
    Thanks for the quick response. And thanks for not pointing out my obvious spelling mistake. Doh! Really, my technical writing is usually better.

    Hmmm... I see. A bug in the forum s/w? Interestingly enough, I can still see my attachment. I will reattach in this reply, doing it your way.
    Captiv8r wrote:
    You would accomplish this by inserting a Text Caption. There really isn't anything "automatic" about it though. You need to either type what you want to appear directly into the Caption or you will need to create a variable to store the value and insert the variable into the Caption. Then at various points in the project, change the variable if you want it to read differently.
    If I am understanding you correctly, I am rather disappointed that I cannot set "Section Title" to display the "Slide Label". Course title can be set as a variable and it doesn't need to change but the "Section Title" (or rather "Slide Label") would change with each slide. This is a basic function in both Lectora and RWD uPerform.

    Keep in mind that while Adobe now owns Captivate, it's a product they received via the purchase of Macromedia. So it's not your typical "Adobe" product from that perspective.
    I not really knocking Captivate 4 and I do understand I am still on the left side of the learning curve, but I am finding that it is a lot quicker and more intuitive to accomplish tasks in Captivate 4. I understand this came from Macromedia but after several iterations, it is a lot like other Adobe products (obviously their intent). Again, this is not necessarily bad... just different. As an example (and off topic) I still have a habit of gravitating back to the infuriatingly unreliable (but super easy/quick to accomplish tasks) Corel Draw because Adobe Photoshop is infuriatingly convoluted (but super-uber reliable).
    Thanks for your help Rick.
    BTW, I am interested in your ebooks but there are no descriptions, or prices, and there is no actual purchase link to Google stores. I have a feeling that they are all Captivate version 3.... and there are probably too many differences between version 3 and 4. Sigh...

    Hi,
    If the songs were purchased from itunes, I suggest that you delete the tracks from your itunes library and move to trash (providing you live in a country that permits redownloading). See http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12283.

  • Inserting or embed and image into cfmail output from a database-stored path to an actual image.

    I am trying to insert or embed and image into cfmail from a database-stored path to an actual image. The actual JPEG image is stored in a folder called "images_personnel". The path to the image under the column titled photopath is stored in my database table as "/file/images_personnel/28.jpg". Displaying the image on the screen renders without a problem, embedding the same image as part of a cfloop query does not insert/embed the image into an email. All of the other output of the same cfloop displays and emails just fine. However none of the photos of each personelle show up. What an I doing wrong?
    My code is below:
    <cfquery name="Staffreport" datasource="master">
    Select staffreport.*, name.personnelid, name.email, name.last, name.noiid, stafflt, CONCAT(name.fname,' ',name.middle,' (',name.last,')') AS teammember, CONCAT(name.fname,' ',name.middle) AS teammember2, concat(name.photopath,'',name.photo)as hisphoto, stafflt.*, trim(concat(ltfname,' ',ltmiddle)) as LT from Staffreport, name, stafflt
    where 0=0
    and stalt = '#Session.user_id#'
    and ltid = '#session.user_id#'
    and staweekbegin = <cfqueryparam value="#form.staweekbegin#" cfsqltype="cf_sql_date" />
    AND staweekend = <cfqueryparam value="#form.staweekend#" cfsqltype="cf_sql_date" />
    AND stapersonnelid = personnelID
    <!---AND ltid = stalt--->
    AND CITY = 'richmond'
    AND STATUS <> 'd'
    AND STATUS <> 'T'
    AND type = 'personnel'
    Group by personnelid
    Order by teammember
    </cfquery>
    <cfmail>...
    <cfloop query="staffreport"><br />
    <table width="90%" border="0" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="4" align="left">
      <tr>
        <td colspan="2" align="center" valign="top" nowrap="nowrap" bgcolor="cccccc"><strong><font color="black"><cfif #staffreport.last# eq ".">#Ucase(Staffreport.teammember2)# <cfelse>#Ucase(Staffreport.teammember)#</cfif> - ID: <cfoutput>#Staffreport.noiid#</cfoutput></font></strong></td>

        <td bgcolor="EBEBEB">#staffreport.email#</td>
      </tr>
    </table>
    </cfloop>
    </cfmail>

    You'll need to provide a full URL link to the image ("http://mywebserver/file/images_personnel/28.jpg"), not just a relative path.  Remember, the email client that is used to view the email content knows nothing of the internals of your web server - it can only follow a complete URL to get images and other resources.

  • Additional table in MA line item

    All,
    We have a requirement to add an additional table in the line items / line items terms of a master agreement.
    The table should have a condition type, currency and vendor fields.
    I see that the line item cannot be extended.
    I cannot use the line item specifications because of the multiple fields needed (not just an attribute and its value).
    Is there a way I can achieve this?
    Regards,
    Subhasini

    Hi
    You can create a new collection for line items hiding the standard line item collection wherein you can modify the fields as desired.

  • Changing additional field in FI line item

    Hi,
    I have added a additional field for FI line item,
    how could i change it in FB02, or FBL3N,etc
    Is there are any user exit/ screen enhancement?
    or it can be done by config?
    or i have to mod it?
    thx a lot
    John

    Hi
    You have to add Purchase Document (PO) as a special field in the line layout variant through  customizing  to view PO in the FBL3N Line layout,
    Go to SPRO Settings - **** - GL Accounting - GL Accounts - Master Records - Line Items - Line Item Display - Define Special fields for finding and sorting data"
    A message will be displayed that it is a cross client change. Presse nter
    Before adding the special field PO, the line layout variant does not have the field PO
    Click on New Entries button
    Give the Table as BSEG and Field as EBELN.
    And save.
    Assign points if useful.
    thanks

  • Find and replace a line in a text  file

    Hi All,
    I wanted to read a text file , find a line and replace that line with out affecting any other lines and with out creating a new file.
    If any one of you know any API to do this work ,please throw some light

    This seems to be a question on optimal implementation of search and replace.
    For replacing text in the file itself, the sought text and replaced text must be the same length,
    as inserting a character somewhere in a file, is better done in a new file.
    You could do this with a java.io.RandomAccessFile[b].
    The new IO package [b]java.nio provides a memory mapped file which is faster.
    The following code does such patching.
    import java.io.*;
    import java.nio.*;
    import java.nio.channels.*;
    public class Patch {
        private static byte[] sought;
         private static byte[] replacement;
         private static boolean matches(MappedByteBuffer bb, int pos) {
              for (int j = 0; j < sought.length; ++j)
                   if (sought[j] != bb.get(pos + j))
                        return false;
              return true;
         private static void replace(MappedByteBuffer bb, int pos) {
              for (int j = 0; j < sought.length; ++j)
                   byte b = (j < replacement.length)? replacement[j] : (byte)' ';
                   bb.put(pos + j, b);
         private static void searchAndReplace(MappedByteBuffer bb, int sz) {
              int replacementsCount = 0;
              for (int pos = 0; pos <= sz - sought.length; ++pos)
                   if (matches(bb, pos)) {
                        replace(bb, pos);
                        pos += sought.length - 1;
                        ++replacementsCount;
              System.out.println("" + replacementsCount + " replacements done.");
        // Search for occurrences of the input pattern in the given file
        private static void patch(File f) throws IOException {

              FileChannel fc = raf.getChannel();
              // Get the file's size and then map it into memory
              int sz = (int)fc.size();
              MappedByteBuffer bb = fc.map(FileChannel.MapMode.READ_WRITE, 0, sz);
              searchAndReplace(bb, sz);
