Inserting one page after ALL pages in a doc

Hi all,
I have multiple documents that I need printed double-sided at a shop. Originally, it was supposed to be single-sided. Now, it needs to be double sided but the back side is the same on every page. So, I am trying to insert a document B (1 page) after every page in document A (many pages) so it is new the back side.
Is there a way to do this automatically? One PDF is 184 pages and inserting it one at a time in too time consuming.

I assume this is Microsoft Word, and you want the first six pages to have no footer, subsequent pages to have a footer showing the page number.
1. Insert a section break after the first six pages.
2. Insert page numbers. This will add a footer with page numbers to both sections.
3. Unlink the section 2 footer from the section 1 footer. [Click in the footer area, uncheck Link to Previous in the Header and Footer toolbar.]

About Page View All pages, Symbols vs X,Y axis

I click on View=>Page view=>All pages
PowerDesigner display : 33 x 25 cells
a) Can we obtain with mouse mouvement values for X and Y axis when we go on Page View ?
b) Do you know in which form I can get symbols X,Y axis position ?
I know I can do a vb script to obtain these values and add extended attributes. I would know if X,Y axis position is already available in a symbol properties form ?
c) Do you know if PowerDesigner display in a specific form (Diagram, Model Options, etc.) : upper right, upper left, lower right, lower left - In fact dimensions of All Pages view ?
d) Can I add / reduce the number of cells ? from 33 x 25 to 20 x 20 ?

Buttons: If you used the built-in command "Go to page view", make sure the Zoom level setting is set to Inherit Zoom. That would preserve the current zoom level when the button is clicked.
Printing: More or less... The best you can do is place a white text box over these instructions and set its visibility to "Hidden, but printable", so when the file is printed the box will cover the instructions, preventing them from printing. Another option is to use a "Visible, but doesn't print" text box to show the actual instruction text.

How to apply template page to all pages except for logon page?

I created a template page with id 0 that contains some copyright and other basic information of my application. Is there a way to apply this to all pages within my application except for the logon page?

It's possible to make page items or regions conditional on the page not being a page number that you specify.
Head to your page 0, and look for the relevant item in your conditionals list. Select it and specify your login page number in there and all should be well!

CP1025 wrong colors or blank pages after first page

Hello,
Our company have 3 cp1025 printers. 2 of them get a problem (almost at same time) which can be described like this:
-printing wrong colors, colors are mixed, for example indeed black color prints blue and it is colorless. This does not happen for first page, further pages only.
-printing blank pages. First page always printed perfectly, further pages are blank.
We can't find a problem. Tried to change new drum, drivers, we are working on Win XP and Win 7. Can you say something about this problem?

Show link/button after all pages have been visited

I want to make a course that branches out, so you can pick in which order you can learn about the different subjects, and at the end of each you will get the option to go back to "main screen"(this is also where you pick which subject to learn about). There are 4 subjects that have 1 slide with 6 slides under there again.
What I want is to have a link/button on the "main screen" that allows you to go to the closing slide (just a plain thank you for your time etc), but I only want it to be visible after you've visited all the learning pages (4+(4*6)=28).
I looked at advanced actions and conditional actions, but I didn't really find anything. Anyone have any ideas or work around? Thanks!

greater than symbol inserted at bottom of php pages in all pages

I've coded for years and never seen this. At the bottom of all of my pages, no matter what I do, the following gets added in
"<html>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>" obviously these symbols show up and make all my webpages look awful. I delete, save, and upload, and in less than ten minutes, they are there and on my website too. What is happening?????

Does this appear when you preview your local copy, (you do have a local copy, and are not working directly with your servers copy)?
If your local copy is O/K, then it may be that your server has been infected with a virus, and this is inserting the code. A virus that added code similar to that you are describing, has been floating around the web for years now.
If your local copy has the problem then check your computer for viruses.

Printing selected page from all pages

Hello,
I'm working on web based oracle technology.
I'm facaing one problem when i'm printing any report direct to printer then it asks to select printer from available printer in network. But the problem is that it do not the ask how many pages to print , means, do not show dilouge box for selection of pages to be printed.

If u r printing the report directly from ur coding then pass parameter list to run_product(). In that parameter list create parameter PRINTJOB and set it to YES.

This sounds like an issue that could result from having A4 sized paper but having the printer settings set for A size. Please check the paper settings.

I have a javascript for add xml tags (ETMV2 Pearson, InDesign CS4). We have select my powermath equation data then run script. Script automatically insert xml tags both side (open/close). But we select one by one then run script its time taking.

I want insert tags in my Indesign CS4 files. Is this posible when i select my powermath equaiton then run script. Script add tags automatically before/after my equation. Please ignore IDML word.
Yes i an comfortable with XSLT presently i working with Pearson ETMV2.
I have one more question when i past my snapshot its appear properly but when i agin see my commant then my snapshot disappear (see small blue rectangle).

Contribute CS3 embeds the contents of SSI Includes into page after Edit and Publish

I have tried every possible way to figure this out but it
seems as though no one has this problem or a solution...
My Dreamweaver CS3 Template based files that have SSI
Includes placed in a "non-editable region" of a template and/or
nested templates are continually embedded, merged, or hard-coded (I
used those keywords for anyone else who might be searching for help
on this frustrating issue) into the page after it has been edited
and published with Contribute CS3 for Windows.
After many, many, hours and days rebuilding templates
(thinking that it was my code), experimenting with .htaccess
include_path variables, and cursing this application, I have come
to one conclusion - if I put my includes within "editable regions"
in the templates or the template based pages, edit and publish the
page with Contribute - then the page is saved normally, with the
includes intact and not embedded within the page. This is of course
not necessarily desirable!
I have tried using various types of include directives like:

<?php require('footer.inc'); ?>
<?php virtual(footer.php'); ?>


All Includes are merged into the template-based page after
the page has been edited and published with Contribute - if they
are in "non-editable regions"!
Please, someone point me in the right direction - if it's
calling Adobe's Help line, or posting the files or whatever. I
can't finish this project and hand off to the client until this is
resolved.

Which one is the Right Approach - Re Using Page Layouts or adding Web parts directly to pages instead of page layouts in SP 2013 online site ?

I am SharePoint 2013 developer. Before asking question I would like to explain the requirement in clarity.
We are developing one O365 SharePoint online site which is having 10 different page layouts with different and some common webparts and we are reusing these page layouts by deploying a sandboxed solution which is having page layouts. These page layouts contain
filter and query to display data using some condition and predefined values. By using these layouts we have to create 100+ pages. All pages will show data according to that page name and category (if it belongs any). We have not written any code to develop
the site, everything is OOB feature.
We have used below feature/list/lib of SP Online 2013:
- Document Library
- Survey
- Calendar
- Lists
- Discussion forum library
- OOB Search feature
Now, I would like to know whether this is the right approach to reuse the page layouts. Or can we add webparts directly where the logic resides in the webparts and add them to the pages instead of page layouts?
Also how to deploy page layouts/pages from one server to another? Currently we are deploying everything as a feature using sandbox solution.
Could you please let me know the right approach to follow. I am asking this question because we are facing below issues:
- Sometime page layouts gets corrupted, showing nothing.
- All written filters/logic disappear when we open layouts in Designer
- Deployment is pain using Sandbox solution

Interesting question, to which i do not know a definitive answer.
Output Caching is used to increase performance and to reduce load on the box. However since you're in the MS Cloud you don't need to worry about the latter and MS do the worrying about the former. I wouldn't be surprised if MS have updated the behaviour
for O365 and not updated the documentation. That first office.com article is using 2010 screenshots which doesn't fill me with confidence about it's continuing relevance. Don't forget that SharePoint 2013 and O365 are technically different versions and have
very different behaviour in places.
Generally i'd say not to worry, but in this case if you do find any more information i'd love to see it.

Performing OCR text recognition in all pages of a PDF document which has blank pages

The PDF pages in the file are scanned as an image, but there are blank pages also. So, page 1, 2 have images of scanned text, page 3 is blank, pages 4, 5, have images of scanned text, page 6 is blank and so on.The series of blank pages is 3, 6, 9....
I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro version 9 on Windows XP. I choose the Document option in menu, OCR Text recognition->Recognize text using OCR->All pages. But, the OCR stops after page 2.
Then, I go to page 4 and find that it is still an image(and I cannot copy the text from it). So, then I have to choose the Document option in menu, OCR Text recognition->Recognize text using OCR->All pages. But, the OCR stops after page 6.
The document has some 200 pages and I don't want to manually do the choose the Document option in menu, OCR Text recognition->Recognize text using OCR->All pages for all pages which have text.
I also tried choose the Document option in menu, OCR Text recognition->Recognize text using OCR->Page 1 to page 200, but that too does not work.
I can manually go to each blank page, delete it, then do the OCR but that would be tedious.
1. Am I missing something in doing the OCR of all pages?
2. Can I set up a batch process to do the delete of blank page series or can I set up a batch process which does OCR of all pages(and does not stop at a blank page) as it is doing now?

Hm, you could convert every pdf-page to a image file (jpeg, etc.):
-install the package imagemagick
-use the command convert
convert -trim -density 150 your.pdf your.jpg
This will generate a jpg-file for every pdf-page; "-trim" removes the white margins, density specifies the resolution of the page (you could also try "-resize" instead of "-density") and 150 specifies amount of dots per inch.
This does not generate a new pdf-file, but maybe there is a way to convert the images back into a single pdf?
