I can log into the xmlpserver application OK as administrator

We are using MS Word 2007 installed on citrix server not able to view Addins menu in MS Word
go to Tools Menu in MS-Word
select "Templates and Add-Ins" >> check TemplateBuilder
We are on Ver 10.1.3.2.1
Only user who has installed it can see BI Publisher desktop Menu

With installation of 10.1 I lost finder search function. The finder window appears, but no matter what I put in the search window, nothing is found. I re-installed it with initial success, but it failed again very soon.

Installing Flash 11 appears successful but doesn't reveal movie on Adobe flash test page

I'VE READ THE LATEST ATTACHMENTS TO THE EMAIL BELOW. They require screen shots of error messages WHICH I'VE ALREADY PROVIDED.
My reaction to the latest email is that no one took the time to actually understand what I've already communicated.

I've performed the clean install including using Adobe's special uninstall utility and carefully hunting down and erasing all of the litter Flash Player leaves behind even after it's uninstalled.
The error messages shown above are the headaches I still have.

Cant install creative could desktop app, but application manager!?

i downloaded the cc-setup file and it installed the application manager, but not the creative cloud desktop app. So i am able to install Photoshop, but not Acrobat for example. This is only possible in the CC-App. How can i fix this?
EDIT:
I found out this is caused by every windows older than windows 7 (in my case windows vista). So my new question: Am i not able to install a couple of apps (not included in application manager) due to my windows version? That would be terrible!

Adobe CC apps are not tested on Win Vista machine. The software may work on other OS's, but Adobe didn't test these and can't guarantee that the software will work.Please find the system requirements to install CC app: http://www.adobe.com/ie/products/creativecloud/tech-specs.html .

Having problems with Indsign CS5 - install onto 2nd machine successful - But..
But indesign won't open any files - going into an endless spiral of not responding?? I have installed and re-installed twice to no avail.. ; Photoshop & Illustrator all good ( First installed version of same license on laptop is not open during the second install process as described in installing on second machine single user?? what is happening? Brand new imac 27" top spec with the power but can't run with it on indesign.... hopefully just a little issue that can be resovled easily?? Thanks for any advice....
Quit InDesign (force quit, if necessary).
Move the following folder to the desktop:
Mac OS: [Startup Disk]/Library/Applications Support/Adobe/SING/
Note: This is in the Library folder on the root of your startup disk. There is a similar path in your user folder, but that is not the path you need to work in.
Relaunch InDesign. -
Even with Adobe support unable to install CS5Web on desktop successfully
I have purchased CS5 (educational version) earlier this year and just installed it sucessfully on my laptop. This is a legitamate version and I have a serial number. I have tried unsuceessfully, and with the help of two different Adobe Support people to install this program on my desktop. We have spend two hours or more trying to figure out why I cannot install this or uninstall the components ( I was able to partially install) on my desk top computer. I experience this aritfact when I put the disc in to uninstall the parical install which we were able to do:.the CD draw locks up; nothing is acitive on the computer and I have to manually shut the computer off ; turn it on and grab the CD out of the drawer. I had gotten error 1 but really don not know what to do here. I was told by the support persons that I should be able to load this program on my desktop as well as my laptop. THey cannot figure it out......Can someone out there help?

SallyWe cannot know. You are not offering any exact info. Error 1 simply means that nothing works at all, which could mean your computer sucks or your yoghurt's amino acids are spinning the wrong way. Whatever, without detailed system info and install logs this is not going anywhere.

Coraberends are you receiving any specific error messages? Which operating system are you using? You can also review your installation logs to determine any errors which you are receiving. Funny, got all the 'Publishing Error' messages but websites get published
Hello all.
I have 3 .mac websites using iWeb.
Last night had trouble publishing, because some "navigation bar error", so I 'publish all', still failed. So every site every page on the left panel is in red.
Brought the Domain file to the office to try and publish, still failed. Mounted iDisk and trash everything, then tried 'publish all' again, still getting some error messages, then tried last try 'publish', reported a network error.
All the icons on the left panel is still in red
*But funnily, a check on my websites and all of them have been published!*
*So how am I going to "update" my iWeb/Domain file, because they are all in red, thinking they are not published yet?*
CheersI am having the same problem, after weeks of everything being OK. Suddenly, in the last 24 hours I get a variety of messages, including the "Unknown Error" message and one called "Lock Error". Beats me what THAT is.
When I look at the url with Safari, it all seems to be fully updated, but iWeb certainly THINKS there has been an error, and leaves all the pages that have been altered in any way in the familiar red highlight color.
Trying to contact customer support. Could take a while, of course!

I can't publish one project but I can publish others.
When I try to publish, the Export to HTML checkbox is greyed out. I can click on all other checkboxes, but in every case the process seems to hand up on my question pool and then crashes. I've tried copying and pasting all slides to a new file, that just carried the problem to a new file. I moved the question pool to a new file, but publish worked fine with that. I tried deleting the question pool from the project and publish worked the same.
I cleared the Captivate 5 cache, made no difference. The project has no animation or sound, 45 slides with optimized images and ten random question slides. The only demanding feature is a plethora of rollover captions on about 15 of the slides.
I'm not sure what is causing this problem, and I don't have time for it.
Anyone have ideas?I can't remember the last time I had time for a problem. Does one ever have time for problems?
Anyway, it sounds like you have some element or object in your project (probably in the slides that are not part of your quiz scope) that is either corrupted or making Captivate dizzy for some other reason.
The usual method of fixing this is by trial and error deletion of slides or groups of slides to narrow down the location of the offending item/s.
Do this: Make a copy of your entire problem project and experiment with it:
You say you've been able to delete the entire question pool without fixing the problem. That's good. It means you can start by deleting those. Republish to confirm that the issue still exists.
Now delete the entire first half of your project and republish again.
If the issue is still there. Do Ctrl + Z to replace the slides you deleted, delete the last 50% of your project instead, and republish.
Theoretically, if the issue is anything to do with something on a slide, you should have found deleting the first or last half of the slides would tell you in which half of your project it was.
Once you know which half has the problem, delete the first half of THAT half, and republish again.
Get the picture? I find that on the rare occasions where I've been having this issue, I can find the offending slide in a matter of minutes this way.
Now if doing the above doesn't get rid of the problem, it must be in something that isn't on a slide. The next things to try are turning off the TOC and playbar, turning off LMS reporting (sounds like it must be on because you said the HTML box was greyed out), and not having any preloaders.
Does the problem still remain now? -
I have tried to install flash player about a dozen times. It seems to install, says it is successful but if you check, none appears to be installed.

Installing BI Publisher Desktop as a machine startup script?
Hello,
Our company wants to deploy Oracle BI Publisher Desktop 10.1.3.4.1 to 60+ machines with Office 2010. Users on these machines do not have any admin privileges and therefore the installation is done via machine start up script. I managed to combine bits and pieces from various documents and generated a response file for silent install. The installation seems to be successful as users see the BI add-ins menu in Word. However, when they click 'Log On' from the Oracle BI Publisher menu, they first get a "Template Builder not found" error and then a "Run-Time error '429'" from MS VB. I have found a few threads talking about how to resolve these errors but none worked for me (e.g. Run the XMLPreportingTools4WordSetup.msi from BI Publisher's folder)
I've narrowed down the reason that may have caused all these. When installing as a start up script, two things are missing from the installation: 1) Shared Add-in Extensibility Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (KB908002) and 2) Shared Add-in Support Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (KB908002). On the other hand, if I install the software manually using an account with admin privileges, these 2 additional .NET software are installed as part of the overall package.
My guess is that installation via start up script is unable to call the necessary files to install the 2 .NET software. Me and my colleges would rather not having to logon to each machine and install BI Publisher manually.
If you have encounter similar situations before, any tips/feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks!The BI Publisher Desktop tool allows you to access your BI Publisher Enterprise server from your client PC. It does not provide any means to directly connect to your database.
A basic installation of BI Publisher Enterprise shall be accessible via eg. http://appserver.mycompany.com:9704/xmlpserver and you can access it using the seeded credentials being Administrator / Administrator. You should use the same URL and credentials for the Template Builder add-in from MS Word.

BI Publisher Desktop Windows 7 Office 2007 Install
Hey All,
Having some issues with install the BI Publisher Desktop 10.1.3.4.1 on Windows 7 32 bit / Office 2007 setup.
Keep getting error, "Please close MS Word and try again".
Well it is certainly closed, and I have also tried a clean reboot, just to eliminate any lingering processes.
So basically, should this Windows 7 install work?
Didn't see it named on the certifications list, but all of the other Vista 32 bit installs I have tried have been successful.
Any thoughts?

Explorer too.
After installation is complete run Word 7 and go to->Adds-In
->Oracle BI publisher.
