Hello
I need some information about making installer of build exe file.
My project contain Modbus I/O server library that connected to "GLOFA GM7U PLC" and Communicated correctly.
When i built exe file and installer package did not have any problem.
exe file and installer run correctly in the system that contain installed labview+modules but when i installed the installer package on the other system that did not contain installed labview+modules the deploying did not complete.
I guess the deploying in the installer package is incomplete and installer need more file to install on windows.
I used
- Labview 2011
- Datalogging and supervisory control module
- Databae connectivity toolkit
in windows7
In other hand I need complete information about making installer of a project that contain modbus I/O server

Problem:
Whenever I try to run my LabVIEW Executable that uses the Datalogging and Supervisory Control (DSC) Module and I/O servers, I get an error message when the library deploys that says:
<IP Address>\Library_Name\OPC deployment failed (error: 1550, LabVIEW: (Hex 0x60E) The license for I/O server type is invalid.)
Why do I get this error, and how can I resolve it?
Solution:
This error occurs when trying to run a LabVIEW executable that uses the Datalogging and Supervisory Control (DSC) Module and I/O servers on a computer that doesn’t have the DSC Run-Time System installed. Unlike LabVIEW, the DSC Module requires a separate Run-Time License which allows you to install the Run-Time System on another computer. Once you purchase the license and install the Run-Time System on the target computer, this error should go away. Automating Sharepoint Foundation 2013 Installation and Deployment of Project

Hi all,
I'm a long time software developer with absolutely no experience in Sharepoint.
I have just joined a new company and I was asked by the team leader to create an installer for Sharepoint Foundation 2013 and a working Sharepoint solution made by the company, preferably using HTA.
I have experimented installing it manually and deploying the solution, however, what's the best method to automate these two steps?
I was thinking of something like AutoSPInstaller, and after the end of the installation, I would run Add-SPSolution and Install-SPSolution commands for deploying the solution.
What do you think?

So the only problem with SharePoint Foundation is that you cannot script the provisioning of the Search Service, you must use the wizard via Central Admin UI to create it. There is an unsupported workaround, but again, unsupported so I don't use it.
I'd stay away from HTA and go just pure PowerShell prompts, myself though.

Installation and deployment of operating system, applications and patches in Unix environment

Is it possible to use Configuration Manager 2012 (or 2012 R2) to perform remote installation of operating system, applications and patching in a Unix environment?

ConfigMgr does not support Operating System Deployment for non-Windows OS flavors.
You can use the ConfigMgr client on a Unix device to install applications and to instruct the device to install patches. Basically, the client will download files and run a script against them. If there is a patch manager in your flavor of *nix, you
can run a script to install the patches.

CRYSTAL Reports 2010 for VS 2010 Installation and Deployment issues

On Installing Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 the Crystal Report Viewer in the Toolbox reports itself as Version 13.0.2000.0. When dragging said viewer onto an ASPX Page it: -
1) Comes up with the wrong version: - Assembly="CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=10.5.3700.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304", NOT 13.0.2000.0!
2) The ADE visualisation of the ASPX Page comes up with the following error: - "Error Creating Control - ContentPlaceHolder1. SessionState can only be used when enableSessionState is set to true. ...............
In my Web.Config file enableSessionState is set to true AND System.Web,SessionStateModule is referenced in <httpModules> the message is therefore less than helpful.
3) Surprisingly when I correct the Version to 13.0.2000.0, the same error happens. Even more surprisingly the page builds and in the development environment the CrystalReportViewer works@#@!! Unfortunately when deployed to a production Web Serrver W2K8 x64 and IIS7.x the page loads but the viewer does not, no errors are caught, the event viewer log is happy. (The click-once Runtimes x32 and x64 have been installed on the server).
The same code works fine in VS2008 targetting CR 2008.
How do I:
1) Get CR2010 for VS2101 Installed Correctly?
2) Deploy The Viewer to a production server?

This is a known issue (unfortunately, no KB created yet as I just duplicated and reported the issue to QA (tracking number; ADAPT01506220) two days ago).
The issue appears only on computers with side by side install of .NET 2008 and .NET 2010.
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
1) Remove the following from the web.config:

2) Open the form that has the viewer on it, go to code behind and replace this:
<%@ Register assembly="CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=10.5.3700.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304" namespace="CrystalDecisions.Web"; tagprefix="CR" %>
with:
<%@ Register assembly="CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304" namespace="CrystalDecisions.Web"; tagprefix="CR" %>
3) Go to the Properties of the project, select references and remove crystaldecisions.web of version 10.5.3700
4) In the Properties, click the Add button and then the .NET tab and select crystaldecisions.web version 13.0.2000.0
5) Recompile.
Distribute the CRVS2010 runtime.

BTW. the same issue exists with WIN apps. The fix here is much easier; Remove all CR 10.5.3700 references from the project and add references to 13.0.2000 assemblies. (tracking number; ADAPT01506310).

Is SSRS installation and deployment always a hassle ?

I have used many tools from different big corporations such as MS. I have faced small issues here and there in the installation. But, SSRS wins the award for being the most painful. I have been trying to install it on my local system for learning SSRS for
a long time. I have had several issues which were sorted out through google searches. Now, it looks like I have reached a dead end. I am wondering if this tool is even worth using ? Do I really need to hire a $200/hr consultant to install SSRS on my computer
for learning ?

I personally have had no problems installing SQL Server Developer's Edition on my desktop / laptop / tablet over the years for my own learning including SSRS. I've installed versions 2005, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 and also a community preview of 2014. SQL

If you have problems during your install why not try a complete un-install via control panel then try installing again. A full install from scratch should take around 30 mins.
Another general tip please always logon as administrator when installing / un-installing SQL Server.

Oracle Enterprise Manager Agent deployment (Installation and Configuration) Error

Hello,
I am trying to create an agent on a linux server using Oracle Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.3. The user is created with root privilege on the server, by change /etc/sudoers entry username the same as the root entry. After that I tried to add host target by clicking Setup->Add Target->Add target Manually->Add Host Targets in the Oracle Enterprise Manager.
In the Add Target view: I clicked on add, then I entry host and platform information. After that I click next. Then I provided the Linux x86-64 : Installation Details for
Installation Base Directory, Instance Directory, Name Credential ... then click next. then click Deploy Agent.
In the Add Host Status view: stages Initialization and Remote Prerequisite Check successfully passed, but in the stage Agent Deployment, it failed in the Installation and Configuration phrase of the Agent Deployment stage.
The log content is shown below. There are numerous SEVERE Errors. But I don't have much experience in dealing with these type of problems. I thank you in advance for all the helps.

On Enterprise Manager server [nsn175-105], we did the following:
1. we modified /etc/exports to include this line: /export *(rw,no_root_squash,sync)
we start nfs service by executing command “service nfs start”.
On Management Agent server (nsn175-89), we verified that we are able to mount /export directory of EM server.
On Management Agent server, we started firefox browser and were able to run successfully https://nsn175-105.us.oracle.com:4904/empbs/genwallet
After making this change, we ran agent deployment again. We encountered the same error as shown above.

For fixing the software library, select Setup->Provision and Patching->Offline Patching, then select Offline Patching radio button, download: https://updates.oracle.com/download/em_catalog.zip. Next upload this zip file.

We are not sure what agent bits are. Would you please explain this and provide procedure how we can download this?
(Here I have attempted to fix the software library, but I am new to Enterprise Manager and not sure how to interpret this).

yes, bigger RAM better for Windows 8.1 64 bit
and you can install a 64-bit version of Windows 8.1, but you'll need to buy it as a DVD and perform a clean installation. You won't be able to keep any files, settings, or apps when you update from a 32-bit to a 64-bit version.
Please note that the Windows 8.1 Pro Pack is used to upgrade from
Windows 8.1 to Windows 8.1 Pro, and isn't for cross-architecture installs and doesn't include any media. If you want to change architectures, buy

VS 2010 Pro "Other Project Types" / "Setup and Deployment": No items found

Hello,
I have VS 2010 Pro Version 10.0.40219.1 SP1 Rel. I have developed a VB.Net application and would like to deploy it. When I try to add a setup project to the solution, I get "No items found" where a list of project types should be in the "Add New Project"
dialog, "Installed Templates", "Other Project Types", "Setup and Deployment". Shouldn't the Pro version have those templates installed? If so, can I copy them from somewhere? I noticed that "Database" and "Test Projects" also have empty lists. There are lots
of templates available for the various languages.
I tried to modify the VS 2010 installation by adding support for SharePoint, but that did not help. Do I have to uninstall, reboot, and re-install? It's so cumbersome considering that I would need to redo the updates as well.
OS is Win 7 Pro, processor is Intel E8400.

Thanks for your post.
The Setup Project template is located in: Installed Templates >> Other Project Types >> Setup and Deployment >> Visual Studio Installer. Would you please check if the templates exists in this path?
If not, you can follow the steps below to reset your Visual Studio templates:
Please open Windows Explorer, and navigate to <Visual Studio Installation Path>\Common7\IDE
(by default is C:\Program Files \Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE);
Delete the ItemTemplatesCache, ProjectTemplatesCache
folder;
Open Visual Studio Command Prompt (2010) under Start menu -> All Programs -> Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 -> Visual Studio Tools (run it with Administrator privilege: right-click the program -> Run as administrator);
Run the devenv /InstallVSTemplates switch;
Run the devenv /Setup switch.

How to create a custom ear file and deploy it onto a freshly created oc4j

Hi,
Wanted to know that how should i go about creating a custom EAR file or for that matter any application and deploy it onto a test oc4j instance created within the 10.1.3 Home of Oracle Apps R12.
I believe in a standalone Application server installation it is quite simple to deploy an application by creating an oc4j instance using the AS console ,but not very sure about how to go about it in Oracle Apps .
N.B:I have been able to create a test oc4j instance by the name of Test and able to start and stop it using the opmn of 10.1.3 oracle home.
Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

It seems that you don't have a problem in creating the EAR file in JDev.

Okay, pls check that you are logged in as administrator and installed and now you are logged in as administrator and registering the iAS server. Did you get any installation failures while installing and are you able to register the server using iASAT ?

ALUI Customization Deploying a Custom Project Step 2: Build and Deploy JARs

I'm trying to deploy custom project after succesfully completing the installation and debug of AL UI Customization. Thanks for the help! It started building after commenting the DTD tag include in the xml.

I have been having difficulty deploying a WindowsForms CrystalReports application that I developed. The specifics of my troubles all bottom out in the tangle of runtime and development redistribution files. It has taken some time for me to get to the point where I can see what is going on.
In order to save others from the pitfalls that I have encountered I wanted to give a short history.
I wrote a report.rpt that placed "Hello World!" in the header, no data, no dependencies. I created a simple application that instantiates a CRViewer and places a new report based on the input report in that viewer. Works great in house, and on most machines with the simple runtime.
My first crack at this application failed miserably on a Windows XP environment. When I launched the application nothing appeared to happen at all. This was disconcerting, but a check of the Event Viewer (Control Panel/Administrative Tools), revealed that the application was failing to load the form initialization. This was failing before my try catch block, which seems to be hitting other devs who have had troubles indicated on other forums. To get past this I removed the CrystalReportViewer widget from my actual windows form, and instead wiffled one into existence on the fly in my form load code:

This did not eliminate the trouble, but it did move the issue to inside an exception handler. What I learned from my handler is that there were missing assemblies from my installation. I began adding these assemblies into my installer one by one until I came to a working report. The missing bits were:

I then tried to reinstall the runtime library, as well as the runtime from my particular version of Visual Studio. I was able to remove the hand pulled libs from my deployment.
So, this brings me to the question: What should I do to create and deploy a simple application based on the CrystalReports development kit that I have purchased? What needs to be redistributed to the client's machine? Is there a common repository for licensed developers to get the missing bits? Is it expected that I have to install the VisualStudio redist and a machine specific runtime? Is there one thing that will get it done?
I am using CRRedist2008_x86.msi and Crystal2008.exe, this seems like too much...

Your notes indicate that you are using Crystal Reports 12. I noticed that you mentioned you have been attempting to deploy your application with CRRedist2008_x86.msi and Crystal2008.exe.
Please note those runtime packages are for Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio .NET. This version is the bundled version of Crystal Reports that comes with Visual Studio .NET 2008 (v 10.5).
You should be using the version 12 merge modules or server install packages. For specific information on how to deploy an application that uses the CR .NET runtime please review our deployment procedures here - https://boc.sdn.sap.com/node/8546.

BAM Data Source and deployment setting in weblogic

like In db adapter we need to create datasource and deployment plan in weblogic. what I want to know is this same process is valid for BAM adapter also? If yes, what we will specify in baam data source (What configuration i need to give).
one more thing i noticed that, Outbound connection pool option is also not coming under BAM configuration

For BAM related settings are out of the box in web-logic server,here below points are describes steps to setup the Datasource whatever you call;
1. In the Settings for oracle-bam-adapter page, select the Configuration tab, and then the Outbound Connection Pools tab.
2. Configure the connection factory interface that you intend to use in Oracle JDeveloper, by expanding the appropriate Group and Instance target and clicking the Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) name.
3. To configure the connection factory for RMI-based calls, click to expand the oracle.bam.adapter.adc.RMIConnectionFactory group and select the JNDI name that the user uses in Oracle JDeveloper. The eis/bam/rmi connection factory is provided out of the box.
4. To configure the connection factory for SOAP-based calls, click to expand the oracle.bam.adapter.adc.SOAPConnectionFactory group and select the JNDI name that the user uses in Oracle JDeveloper. The eis/bam/soap connection factory is provided out of the box.
Hostname : local host (host name of BAM server)
Instance Name: ADCServer1 (default for RMI)
Password : welcome1 (password of BAM server)
Port Number : 9001(port number of BAM server)
Username : weblogic (user name of BAM server)
5. after saving it need to re-deploy OracleBAMAdaper, In deployments select OracleBAMAdapter click Update button.
I hope these steps are helpful.
PS Outbound connection pool option is also not coming under BAM configuration -- for this check BAM server is running or not or any other BAM server installation or ect.

Error when BOE 3.1 installer automatically deploys apps on websphere

Hi,
I am trying to install BOE 3.1 on AIX 5.3 using websphere 6.1. I created the websphere profile with no admin secure. In the installation i chose to automatically deploy the web apps on websphere. I provided the details of my websphere profile and specified no 'n' for the option admin is secure. I did not provide any details for the admin user and password.
The installation goes on fine however all the deployments fail. This is one of the entries in BusinessObjects.12.1.log.summary:
[error] Errcode 1: /home/<user>/BOE/BOEAIX/deployment/wdeploy.sh websphere6 -DAPP=AdminTools -Das_admin_password="*****" -Dlanglist="en" deploy
Note that it is providing a password even though I haven't specified any.
I tried manually deploying them using wdeploy. The details in config.websphere6 were all fine.
I did not provide any special arguments:
./wdeploy.sh websphere6 deployall
This successfully deployed all the applications.
I would like the web app deployments to occur at the time of installation itself, please let me know if anybody has faced this problem or has any ideas to fix this.

Yes, I was surprised too that it worked with wdeploy.
1. Yes I made use of the same user for both installation and wdeploy.
2. I looked up BusinessObjects.12.1.log for more details and found this:
[info] /home/<user>/BOE/BOEAIX/deployment/wcommon.xml:167: The following error

As I mentioned in my previous post, I did not provide any password or user(no admin security), yet it seems to provide it in the arguments to wdeploy.
3. I made no change to WAS between the two actions. The only difference being that I did not provide any password to wdeploy. In the config.websphere6 file, the password line is commented out by default.
4. I am using websphere 6.1.0.9

Package and Deployment

Hello all,
I know in Visual Basic there is a Packaging and Deployment wizard that will allow you to create an executable setup to install your application, and I am wondering if there is such a tool for use in Java? I use TextPad as my editor, and not a GUI development tool, so would I need to download a special application to create installation packages? I'm not sure if those GUI development tools already include deployment solutions..
I have been getting better coding wise in Java, but now I am getting to the point where I need to package and deploy my application, or atleast create an executable version of my application (does not necessarily need a Setup application), and I am not sure how to go about this. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction, or give any suggestions/advice? I gladly appreciate it!

This probably describes what you want to do. You don't mention what the application is - an application, an applet, or a Web Start program. Choose the "Deployment" Link in the Basic trails, and then whichever one applies.
