Installing Director Trial Problem

Question

Hello,
I have been attempting to install the Adobe Director 30-Day
Trial to test out the program. Each time I attempt to run the
program (Setup.exe), I receive an initialization loading message.

And that loads fully. Once that is finished loading the
message disappears and nothing happens. I've checked the CPU
requirements, and my computer meets all of them. Any idea of what
the problem could be?

Find yourself an extracter that supports 7Zip files and
extract the
contents of the installer.
Here's some detailed instructions:

1. either run "Director_WWE.exe" and let it extract
everything to a
temporary folder (and then quit the installer), or, much
faster, use the
"7-Zip file manager" (or any other uncompress tool that
supports 7-zip
compression) and only extract the folder "\Adobe Director
11\payloads\AdobeDirector11en_US\" from "Director_WWE.exe"
2. move the folder "AdobeDirector11en_US" to C:\ (otherwise
there might
be problems with too long pathes), (and delete the rest of
the extracted
files if you expanded the complete exe)
3. open a DOS box in "C:\AdobeDirector11en_US" and enter
msiexec /a AdobeDirector11en_US.msi /qb TARGETDIR=c:\dir11tmp
this will extract the Adobe Director 11 folder to
"C:\dir11tmp\program files\Adobe\Adobe Director 11"
4. done! now you can put the "Adobe Director 11" folder
whereever you
like (and delete C:\dir11tmp) , e.g. to "C:\Adobe Director
11", and just
run "Director.exe" by double-clicking.
