Integarte Weblogic with Apache on Windows

Hi guys,
Did any one integrate Weblogic server with Apache?
I tried but portal home page takes a lot of time to load.
I don't know why?
If any one tried this can you let me the know the steps or URL from where I can get info?
Thanks!

  • Using Resin and Weblogic with Apache

    Hi,
Does anybody know if i can use Weblogic to serve JSP and Resin to
    serve some servlets within Apache?
    Let me explain the case:
We are testing to setup Weblogic with Apache as the webserver.
Weblogic will be used to serve the JSP pages so i configured the
    httpd.conf as follows:
    <IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
    MatchExpression *.jsp
    WebLogicHost localhost
    WebLogicPort [port]
    </IfModule>
This works fine and i can serve the jsp-pages without any problems.
Since we work with thirdparty software we need to use Resin too. This
is not much trouble to implement in Apache and i can make sure that
some servlets are handled by caucho instead of Weblogic:
    <Location /servlet/Inventory>
    SetHandler caucho-request
    </Location>
The above request works fine too!
However i have to load the resin.conf file for full use of Resin in
Apache. This setting however implicates that JSP pages aren't served
by Weblogic anymore but are sent to Resin also. Even with the
MatchExpression setting in httpd.conf, Apache still thinks JSP needs
to be sent to Resin instead of Weblogic.
Is there some way i can make sure that the JSP pages are served by
    Weblogic and not by Resin???
    Thanx in advance

    Hi all,
Well, i figured it all out and if anyone would like to give it a try
    to, just do the following.
The mod_caucho.so file was compiled with the option to handle .jsp
files. I hashed out the following line in
    /src/c/plugin/common/config.c:
    cse_add_locatio ..... jsp etc.
And then i configure the mod_caucho.so with:
    ./configure --with-apxs=/apps/apache/bin/apxs
Now i have a perfect mod_caucho.so file which does not handle .jsp.
All calls with .jsp are processed by weblogic, just as i wanted!
Have fun with it (i shall :-)

  • Starting up Weblogic with Apache.

We are currently migrating our site from NetDynamics to Weblogic Server.
In our current implementation we have three virtual host set up in Apache
    Web server
and now these needs to talk to Weblogic for processing JSP/Servet request.
Now my question is I still want to use the same three virtual host to talk
to the default server setup in Weblogic.
All three virtual host points to different directories. How do I setup
Weblogic so that the same server can process
request from the three virtua hosts.
    Thanks,
    Rakesh

I know that there was a problem in which the Apache plug-in did not work
with virtual hosting on the Apache server. A fix was released for this.
You may want to first upgrade to the latest service pack. If that does not
work, you may want to contact technical support.

  • Plugin(mod_wl.so) for Apache 1.3.X  for weblogic 8.1 on Windows

Can anyone tell me where I can get a plugin(mod_wl.so) for Apache 1.3.X for weblogic 8.1 on Windows. The plugins are avaiable for solaris,AIX and linux. But I could not find any thing for Windows. The plugins are available for Apache 2.X.

I have Apache running on two Linux web servers (dell2 and dell3)
and WLS running on two Linux app servers (dell5 and dell6).
I can also run Apache on two Sun/Solaris web servers (sun2 and
sun3). I have the AcceptBacklog parameter set to 100 on each
WLS Server. There is no problem when I drive the WLS servers
through mod_wl.so running on the Sun servers. The CONNECTION_REFUSED is only seen
when I try to drive them through
    mod_wl.so on the Apache/Linux systems.
What is the ap_proxy.cpp file referenced in the error message?
It doesn't appear to be part of the Apache source code yet I
can see references to various ap_proxy functions.
    Thanks for your help,

You should not run apache and wls on the same box for load testing since

    parameter
on wls, the default is 50 which might not
    be big enough for load.

As described in a posting yesterday, I got the mod_wl.so working
with WL6.0 SP1 in clustered mode on two Linux 6.2 systems
running Apache 1.3.12 driving two clustered WL servers.
However, under moderate stress I see the following message
appear in the Apache error log after about a minute and the
throughput drops and response time skyrockets:
    [error] CONNECTION_REFUSED [os error=11, line 1342 of
    ap_proxy.cpp]
I've not played with the Apache source but my guess is that this
error message is meaningful to the developer of mod_wl.so
The two WL servers can handle a workload four times heavier than
what I'm describing here using Sun/Solaris web servers running
Apache 1.3.9 and the Solaris version of mod_wl.so
Any pointers would be much appreciated

  • Weblogic 5.1 sp3 with Apache or Stronghold on Solaris 2,7

    Hi All,
We are planning to use Apache or Stronghold(most probably Stronghold as it

you have faced any integration issues with this ? If you do what kind of

related ? Has anyone used WebLogic built-in webservevr in production

    3. mod_wl_ssl_raven.so for Apache + Raven installations
mod_wl_ssl_raven.so was required because Raven applies frontpage patches which
    makes it incompatible with mod_wl_ssl.so

I would not recommend using the weblogic web server, the performance of image
streaming and serving static webpages is not the greatest - apache will do a
    much better job for you.
Weblogic also has a plug in for apache on Solaris that supports fail over. ie.
if one of your weblogic server goes down then apache can reconnect to another
    one

  • I Need PHP 5.3 no longer avail in a VC6 compatable with Apache 2.2.15

I appologize if this question is already answered somewhere (I did search a bit)..
    1. I have written a significant amount of my site using functions only available in PHP 5.3+ (ie not in PHP5.2)
    ( see php.net /manual/en/migration53.new-features.php )
    2. PHP (in thier infinite wisdom) have decicided that not only is there no longer a VC6 (ie Apache 2.2.15 compatable) build of php 5.3.6 but they removed the 5.3.3 build and are offering only 5.2.17 in a VC6 build suitable for use with the version of Apache built into FMS4.
(see windows.php.net/download/ and note the lines:
Do NOT use VC9 version with apache.org binaries.
    and
VC9 versions of Apache can be fetched at Apache Lounge. We use their binaries to build the Apache SAPIs.)
    3. The FMS4 documentation says:
    (see help.adobe.com/en_US/flashmediaserver/configadmin/WSE2A5A7B9-E118-496f-92F9-E295038DB7DB. html#WS02f7d8d4857b1677-469e53bb12984254411-8000
The recommended approach to upgrading the Apache web server is to install or build the Apache server in a directory that is separate from the existing server. Then copy the contents of newly-installed directories to the existing server.
In most cases, you do not replace the existing Apache configuration files with the newer versions of these files. This is because the Apache web server installation for Flash Media Server is pre-configured with specific modules and settings.)
    My Question is:
Does this even work? I sounds like a REALY BAD idea to me to instal a version of Apache built to use the Visual C 9 runtime and then kludge in an httpd.conf file that starts loading modules that were built to interact with a version that uses the Visual C 6 library. Has anyone actually done this successfully???
I don't blame the FMS developers here (well except for the really bad idea of making Apache "part" of the FMS package in the first place) but you a shipping with a version of Apache that is incompatable with PHP! (OK, the _latest versions_ of PHP.. but that still makes this _your_ problem.. and a big problem at that if you ask me).
    Suggestions?

  • Can't uninstall a network installation (Version: WebLogic 8.1 for Windows)

    Hi,
As described in the above subject, I encountered an error when trying to uninstall
WebLogic 8.1 for windows, which is installed from another computer (WINXP) thru
    network.
The installation executes on the remote machine. When asking the location for
BEA home, I specify a path on a network drive , something like z:\bea.
(z: is the drive of the computer I want weblogic to be installed. I do this because
it only has enough space for the final installation, but not together with the
    temporary files)
It seems that everything goes well, although the links in "Program Files" are
created on the remote machine only. However, when I want to uninstall it, I encounter
    problems.
First, when using the "add/remove programs" way, it complained that it was not
able to find the path to javaw.exe. I paste the full command Z:\bea\jdk141_03\bin\javaw.exe
    -Duninstall.dir="z:\bea\weblogic81\uninstall" -jar "z:\bea\weblogic81\common\lib\uninstall.jar"
and then it went on. Splash screen and the first wizard screen appears afterwards.
However, when I pressed "Next", a prompt appeared, with message ":[z:\bea]".
The same message appeared in console mode uninstallation.
Is there anyway to solve this problem? Thx!

    Hi,
I tried to replace all "Z:" to "C:" in registry.xml and re-uninstall again, but
    that doesn't work.
Actually the thing I want to happen is only to remove the current (and somehow
faulty?) installation. Is it 100% ok to just remove all the files manually?

It sounds like the install was done on one machine and you are trying
    to uninstall from
another. If that is true ...
Check the contents of the registry.xml file and see if the environment
    variables match
those of the machine you are working on. In particular, the items that
    specify host
    names and install directories.

  • Can't get Report Builder to work with Apache Webserver

I'm running ColdFusion 7.0.1 and have it configured to work
with Apache. I've got an application named realestate. I created
the following entry in my host file:
    127.0.0.1 realestate
In Apache, I've created a virtual server that uses the
realestate server name. But I can't get the Report Builder to
connect to it at all. When I run the wizard, I try to install an
RDS server. I've used 127.0.0.1 for the host name as well as
realestate and I've set the port to 80. I can't get port 8500 to
work at all. I set my ColdFusion root location to fall under
Apache's htdocs. Should I have left it under C:\CFMX7 ? How would I
    change the location?

Please review the "stickied" threads near the top of this board, about syncing with Windows 7 and Vista.  It's all there.
After you've been through and tried everything there is to try, and still have problems, please post back with specific info about exactly what you've tried, what version of Windows 7 you have (32-bit or 64-bit), etc.

  • WebLogic and Apache

    Hi,
We are developing an application using WebLogic ejb and servlet and we
are planning to use Apache as the HTTP server. Are there any know
              issues about this combination?
According to the manual, the mod_proxy of Apache can be used to link
Apache and Weblogic. Has anybody done that?
              Thanks,

This doesn't sound like a definitive answer. Are you saying we will NOT
support you if you use Apache?
Should it work? What are people doing wrong? The answer below isn't
              much help IMHO.

  • Problems with mobile projects with apache flex 4.8 and an overlay of the latest air sdk

Using flash builder 4.7 beta, apache flex 4.8 and an overlay of the latest air sdk, i got resolution problems while testing the mobile app (windows version on windows 7) with the air (ipad)emulator. That means the emulator is much bigger than my screen (logicaly seen the resolution of my screen and also like this in earlier version), but the app is much smaller than the emulator. As I have no design view with apache flex 4.8, I don't know where to start searching. Can anyone give me some input?
    Gert

    Hi Crill,
I don't see any error on creating new projects and running the same.
Where did you get the installer from?
What is the framework linkage type? You can check this in project properties -> flex build path. It should be Merged into code for Apache SDK.
    thanks,

  • Cannot get past admin console login with Apache plug-in

I am running Weblogic 8.1 Express (evaluation download) on a RedHat 7.3 host with
Apache 1.3.27. There is a single admin server and no managed servers. I am able
to connect to and use an application (e.g. http://ashish/weblogic/survey_web)
with no problems, but receive a 503 error when I connect to the console (http://ashish/console)
and submit my login information. The relevant section of httpd.conf is:
    <VirtualHost default:80>
    <IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
    WebLogicHost ashish
    WebLogicPort 7001
    ErrorPage /weblogic_error.html
    MatchExpression /console
    <Location /weblogic>
    SetHandler weblogic-handler
    PathTrim /weblogic
    </Location>
    </IfModule>
    </VirtualHost>

Little strange. But just want to be clear - you tried http command and with valid username/password you are not able to run "ping" http command - right?  Can you juct check your Admin Server configuration and restart Admin server once and see if it helps. Also do you see any errors in logs - say master, admin logs?

  • Need to host weblogic server as a windows service

    Hi,
I need to host weblogic server as a windows service, Along with the log file in which I can log the System.out.println statements.
I am having weblogic server 10.3.4
    Thanks in advance
    Harshal

    Hi Harsgal,
You can use the Windows Service configuration script mentioned in the following link:
    http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?page_id=2594#comment-3454
Ans as you mentioned that you want to see the System.out.println statements also in the server.log then in that case please add the JAVA_OPTION in the same script mentioned in the above link as *"-Dweblogic.log.RedirectStdoutToServerLogEnabled=true"*
    Example:
    echo off
    SETLOCAL
    set DOMAIN_NAME= Test_Domain
    set USERDOMAIN_HOME= C:\BEA103\user_projects\domains\Test_Domain
    set SERVER_NAME=ManagedServer1
    set PRODUCTION_MODE=true
    set WL_HOME=C:\bea103\wlserver_10.3
    set ADMIN_URL=http://AdminServerHostname:7001
    set MEM_ARGS=-Xms1024m -Xmx1024m  -Dweblogic.log.RedirectStdoutToServerLogEnabled=true
    call "%WL_HOME%\server\bin\installSvc.cmd"
Topic: Managed Server As Windows Service
    http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=680
Also if you want to create a Separate STDOUT and STDERR file to collect your System.out.println Statements then please add the following MEM_ARGS as well inside your script:
    JAVA_OPTIONS=-Dweblogic.Stdout=D:\bea_home\wlserver_10.0.2\user_projects\domains\syncro_domain\ASstdout.txt  -Dweblogic.Stderr=D:\bea_home\wlserver_10.0.2\user_projects\domains\syncro_domain\ASstderr.txtThanks
