  • How to configure for the give senario where we from APO demand planning, we provide baseline forecast into TPM

    Hello Guru's,
Request for information on smart documentation on the integration between Trade Promotion Management and SCM-Demand Planning from an architecture perspective how to configure for the give senario where we from APO demand planning, we provide baseline forecast into TPM and from TPM promotions values can be considered in to APO demand planning: can anybody give me some insight on it.
    Thanks in advance.
    Kumar

    Hi Praveen
There are several ways you can connect a DP system to a TPM. How are your interfaces and systems setup?
    Option1:
Extract the baseline from APO to a BW cube, extract the data out of BW, may be using infospokes/open hub and pass it on to TPM.
    2. Have a custom program written in APO-DP to extract the selected keyfigure data at the aggregation level into an interface or a .txt file into APO directory and use some data transfer service such as EDI to take this data and send to TPM.
In my experience it is simple to define an integration process. The much larger and complicated aspects are the date adjustments and the aggregation levels.
    Date adjustments:
Understand the basis of the data in APO and TPM. APO is usually at the requested delivery date or material availability date ( when the customer like a store wants the product). However TPMs are usually at the consumption date ( when an end customer like you and me but from store shelf). Depending on the product and business style this can mean several days difference. Let's say it is 25 days on average, you need to add 25 days to APO base line date to get the TPM consumption date.
    Aggregation level:
This can be product or customer. If the planning in DP is at product sku level and the TPM is at packs or brand level, you need to aggregate the data up before loading to TPM. The same with customer.
To me the most complex part of the integration is to understand and transform the data in a meaningful way and a strategy to sustain this integration by keeping both DP and TPM in sync in terms of master data. Also important to have a process for identifying exceptions and failures. you send baseline from DP to TPM and if it fails, how do you know? how do you trouble shoot?
    Hope these help.

  • Forecast Pro integration for CRM On Demand

Any information on CRM integration for "Forecast Pro" software? Displaying Forecast Pro reports in the CRM UI ? This is outside using the imbedded forecasting functionality in CRM on Demand.

    Hi,
This approach includes use of Web Services Exposed by Oracle.
(Navigate to Admin >>Web Services Administration >>Download Documentation button on your CRM Admin Account for a PDF Document on Web Services.
Firstly, write code to query CRM for Opportunity and Lead created in last 1 hour
Once the Code is written make sure you schedule it for execution say interval would be every 1 hour.
Dump all the Queried data to People soft System accordingly.

  • Re: Sales forecast transfer to Demand Management

    Hi All,
I am facing an issue regarding the Sales forecast transfer.
Actually what is happening is When I Enter some Sales forecast in the combination of a Customer/Payer/SLoc/product /Qty. using T-Code :KEPM  & Then Further I transfer this Sales forecast by t-code KE1K.
I am able to see the quantities in the MC95 for that particular combination of as chosen while KEPM.
Now this happening in the right manner in the Quality client.
But when the user is trying to do the same in PRD client what is happening is the Plan is getting distributed to three location with same quantities which makes the total Sales forecast three times the actual.
Now I had recommended the user to input the specific data like customer/company code/Profit center & SLOC while KE1K.
Still he is facing this issue.
Please advice how to go for this.
    Regards,
    Vivek

  • STO been included (considered) into Sales forecasting

    Dear friends
Does anyone knows if is possible to make Stock Transport Order been considered at Sales Forecasting ?
We need not only Sales Order been there , but include quantities from STO too.
    Best regards,
    Ale

    Dear,
Forecasting is calculated from past history.
Hence consumption to sales order is considered for forecast. If you want the STO data also to be considered for Sales forecast if you enable the movement type used for STO delivery. If you are looking for that please come back

  • Sales order requirement to planner

    Hello All
This might be a basic question but need to know more details for this requirement
    1) once the purchase order is received from the customer for 5000 quantity which should be delivered to the customer in a time duration for 1 year  ( to note this Purchase order is not into SAP it is a manual document),Sales order is created in to SAP for the whole 5000 quantity remains open until the whole quantity is delivered.
    2) the delivery is happening week-on week or even some times on monthly basis some time immediate
    3) the question is where is the trig erring  point in SAP on sales order which sends the information  to the planner to produce the material?
    4) need to know more details regarding the integration between sales order and the planner requirement
    Thanks ..

For your requirement, I would recommend you to check the option of standard functionality Scheduling Agreement.
    Sales doc type (VOV8)
    DS - Scheduling Agreement
    SD document categ
    E - Scheduling agreement
Item Category (w. I Cat Grp NORM)
    LPN - Sched.Agreement Item
    Billing Relevence
    A - Delivery-related billing document
    Schedule Line Category
    CP - MRP
Relevant for requirement & Availablity Check
So, the system based on your
    in schedule line cat
schedule for delivery will run MRP for
    for production plan
Based on your schedule, your business flow will be:
    DS (VA31)

  • Sales Forecast

How to handle sales forecast in OM?
For comparative analysis, user wants to input sales forecast per item in terms of quantity and sales amount for them to be able to generate and view report regarding the following:
    1) Comparative Report Forecast vs Actual Sales Ordered per item and amount.
    2) Comparative Report Forecast vs Actual Ordered per quantity per item per customer.
    3) Forecast vs Actual Sales
    Thanks!

    Possibilities:
    1. If you have sales planing in R/3, and extract that data into BW, you can have a forecast report.
    2. If you have APO and have demand planing, then you can have forecast report.
    3. If you use BPS / IP for sales planing / forecasting, then you can have.

  • DP Forecast into ECC

    Hi all,
Pl let me know what's the best way to bring DP forecast into ECC. Should I publish it from SNP, or transfer from DP. I look for similar result in MD04 and Product View.
    Thanks
    Vardev

    Hi
Yes with /SAPAPO/MC8U - Maintain Transfer Profiles you can create the Transfer profile which will be used to release the FCST in ECC system as planned ind. Requirement . Detail information is below for your reference.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm41/helpdata//EN/c9/b4df8b70c011d398450000e8a49608/frameset.htm
If you are using respective strategy 40 i.e. planning with final assembly it will consume the FCST by sales order. The unconsumed FCST will still be present in MD04 as planned ind.  Requirement.
So at the end , you will have 2 demand element sales order and unconsumed FCST as form of planned ind.  Requirement.
    Thanks

  • APO Demand Planner

    Hello Experts,
I need your replies for the below requirement.
I need complete list of Cubes,DSO, Master Data used for below requirements
The APO Demand Planner Master and Transactional Data for
Product/Time/Sales/Distribution hierarchies, Sales Order History, Financial / Budgeting info., Shipments History, Promotions History, Selling Price, Production & Transportation Costs.
ineed to prepare the estimate doc.
    regards
    kv

A Demand Planner will have the responsibilities of validating and fine tuning the sales forecast numbers and passing them to the Supply Planners/Production Planners. Once the base forecast is generated by the APO DP forecast models, the demand planners need to keep an eye on those numbers, co-ordinate with the sales & marketing people to make note of any additional sales or deviations and then release those numbers to supply planners (SNP) / Production planners.
They also play a key role in deciding and planning new products launched which do not have earlier sales history, promotion planning and any other 'events' which the system on it's own cannot manage.
Generally, each Demand Planner 'owns' up a group of products (or geographical territory) and has the responsibility of correctly managing the future sales of those products.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to load budgeted sales dollars into SAP.

    hello experts
    we are using ecc 5.0
pl advise how how to load budgeted sales dollars into SAP
    thnks
    vinod

    Hello,
Budgets are like threshold figures where your actuals cannot exceed your budgets.
Whereas, planned data is for variance analysis with your actuals.
You can configure the cost center planning so that the user can upload the data through KP06 or KP26
This is controlled by planning are in your planning profile. You need to use "Cost ctrs: Cost element/activity inputs" planning area for this purpose.
Hope you are conversant with Integrated excel upload.
To do integrated excel upload of cost center plan data.
IMG ==> Controlling ==> Cost Center Accounting ==> Planning ==> Manual Planning User Defined Layouts - Create your own layout or copy from standard layout and change it.
IMG ==> Controlling ==> Cost Center Accounting ==> Planning ==> Define User Defined Planner Profiles
Copy the SAPALL to ZSAPALL. You cannot change SAPALL as it is standard.
In ZSAPALL planner profile, select proper planning area and enter your layout.
    Tick Integrate Excel.
Once the popup for KP06 comes, you need enter the data and save it. It would generate the file name.
With the same file name you need upload the plan data by using KP06.
    In KP06
Extras ==> Excel Planning ==> Upload
Select the file as prepared in accordance with format at the time of generating the file name.
    Hope this solves your problem.
Please let me know if you need futher help.

  • Sale order to consume Sale forecast created by MD81

    Dear Gurus,
I have created a sale forecast using T-code MD81, 'CusReq" is reflected in MD04...I conduct a planning run and planned orders are generated and subsequent process orders and this stock is now credited to WH stock... But the "CusReq" is not disappearing from MD04, as a result of which When I am creating a sale order Using VA01, it is only showing available qty in WH as remainder after the MD81 Requirement...
How can I make the sale order consume the sale forecast (CIR) that was created using MD81.??

  • Sales forecasting-updating opportunities with booked values

    Hi,
we have a need where a user creates an opportunity for a large deal (say worth 6M USD) which will be realized over say 6 months. each month from the day the oppty is created say 1 MUSD worth orders will be created.
how do we incorporate this scenario in the monthly sales forecast. challenge here is that one opportunity will result into multiple orders each month. how will the sales forecast know that against the large deal of 6 MUSD, some amount is already realized/booked and it should subtract that amount from forecast report. need is to avoid double forecasting in such scenarios.
is there a standard report which takes care of such scenarios?
i am sure this is not a unique situation in almost all B2b sales this should be a need.
    any pointers will be appreciated
    thank you.

    I referenced the post below.

it is not working for me.  I don't understand the approach of using derived column to get rid of NULLs neither.  Can you help?

step 3: a program is written to convert the excel quantities to text file ie txt file,
step 4 : upload the text file quantity to the sales information system. you have to make a transaction code to upload. in MC95 transaction code.
step5. before doing this we need to have material  hierarchy, and pplanning type should be maintained for every material in basic data 1 product allocation field.

  • Sales Planning  vs Demand management

Can any body explain how to process the sales planning vs Demand management !

    Hi,
Demand Management  : The function of Demand Management is to determine requirement quantities and delivery dates for finished products assemblies. Customer requirements are created in sales order management. To create a demand program, Demand Management uses planned independent requirements and customer requirements.
To create the demand program, you must define the planning strategy for a product. Planning strategies represent the methods of production for planning and manufacturing or procuring a product.
Using these strategies, you can decide if production is triggered by sales orders (make-to-order production), or if it is not triggered by sales orders (make-to-stock production). You can have sales orders and stock orders in the demand program. If the production time is long in relation to the standard market delivery time, you can produce the product or certain assemblies before there are sales orders. In this case, sales quantities are planned, for example, with the aid of a sales forecast.
Sales & Operations Planning (SOP) is a flexible forecasting and planning tool with which sales, production, and other supply chain targets can be set on the basis of historical, existing, and estimated future data. Rough-cut planning can also be carried out to determine the amounts of the capacities and other resources required to meet these targets.
Use SOP to streamline and consolidate your company’s sales and production operations.
SOP is particularly suitable for long- and medium-term planning
SOP constitutes the planning functionality of the LIS information systems.
You pass on SOP plans to Demand Management (PP-MP-DEM) in the form of independent requirements. In turn, this data is fed to Master Production Scheduling (PP-MP-MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (PP-MRP).
An interface with Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) allows you to use CO-PA data as the basis for sales planning in SOP.
You can also pass on the results of SOP to Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Cost Center Accounting (CO-OM-CCA), and Activity-Based Costing (CO-OM-CCA).
Application Link Enabling (CA-BFA-ALE) supports the distribution of data to different operating units in your enterprise
I hope this information will help you.
    kiran.
