Interaction Record and Multi Level Categorization

Hello Forum,
I would like to know if any one has implemented Multi level categorization for Interaction record in SAP CRM Web IC 7.0.
If so how did you acheive this.
I have done the following
-     Create Catalogs, Codes and Code groups
-     Create Subject profile
-     Create Categorization schema with default subject profile.
I could not assign Subject Profile to Transaction Type and also in the only default Subject Profile  is displayed .
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Amar

Glen,
I tried to create customized catalog with Category "F" which is Activity -Reason and the system did not allow me.
So i used A1 (SAP delivered)  which has category "F" and used it  to assign Code Group Profile and Code Groups.
I created Subject Profile with Subject Category "F" and assigned the Code Group Profile.
I have not usedc the Transaction for assigning subject profile and Status to Transaction Type as i do not need it.
There is not provision to directly assign subj profile to Transaction type as like service request.
I went through the route of assigning Subj profile to Transaction Type header and another place of assigning them in the category schema.
This is where i do not see the Customized subject profile which i have created.
Can you tell me where exactly i can Determine of categorization schema based on transaction type/catalog category combination.
Thanks
Amar

  • Multi Level Categorization in Interaction Record

    Hello Gurus!
We are implementing CRM 7.0 and setting up multi level categorization for interaction records and service ticket. I have managed to set up all the required config and the categorization schema in Web IC. It is working in service ticket. However, for interaction record in web IC, the problem is that in the Categorization Tab, there are no fields showing up. I tried adding the fields but there seems to be none similar to service ticket where the fields for Level 1, Level 2, etc... can be seen.
Have you got any idea on how to make the Level fields show up in the interaction records so we can test the multi level categorization for IR?
    Thanks!

    Glen,
I have gone into IC manager role and used categorization schema and i cannot see my customized Catalog for Business activity.
I have checked Category of the catalog which i have manually created and it is "Activity-reason" .
I have tried using the default catalog and added my Codes into it and created Scema but i do not see the categorization in Web IC and more over the Subject feild is in active. I have added the code groups and code feilds and they are displaying a error message.
    Thanks Amar

  • Multi level categorization component integrated into TASK

    Hello Experts,
We are working on a CRM 7.0 EHP1 implementation project, one of the business requirements is multi level categorization on task object.
The How-To Guide Add multilevel categorization component of the Interaction Record to other objects by Micha Van Nijen was found and that was what we aimed. Great how to guide.
I successfully implemented the ICCMP_BT_CAT component into the TASK component according to this wiki.
The configuration/customizing are done.  I am able to use multi level categorization on interaction record. (configure Catalog, code group and codes. Subject profile also created and assigned to categorization schema.) But on the task web ui there is no categorization fields. I guess it uses the same catalog A1 as interaction record.
The task multi level categorization customizing is created similar to interaction record.
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Robert Cserny

As far as I know the category modeler application (multi level categorization) is available for the following applications:
        Service orders
        Service order templates
        Confirmations
        Complaints
        In-house repair orders
        Service requests (incidents)
        Problems
        Requests for change
        Knowledge articles
        Case management
        Interaction records
        E-Mail Response Management System (ERMS)
Is there anybody who can confirm that it could be available on SALES task transaction as well? If yes could you share the basic steps of customizing?

  • Edit multi-level categorization

    Hi All,
working on the multi-level categorization for service tickets.
There are currently 4 levels and i want to extend this to 6 levels. Want to know how can i edit the existing categorization schema to add 2 new additional levels.
Is anything to be done in catalogs, code groups, subject profiles?
I think this is to be configured using IC_manager but how to do that?
    thanks
    Alka

    Hi Alka,
The process of creating the cat. schema for 6 levels is same as for 4 levels. And yes from CRM 5.1 onwards its done using IC_MANAGER business role.
Currently i'm working on CRM 4.0 and it seems categorization is not supported in this version. I did it in CRM 5.0 and dont remember the exact SPRO path. So you need to go to SPRO -> CRM -> Interaction Center or IC Webclient -> Multileve Categorization or categorization -> Click on all the options available and find out there is a place where you will find Level/Levels = 4 change it to 6. Then you will see 6 levels in Web UI or IC webclient.
Let me know if you still faces any issue then i can check on CRM 7.0

  • Rules based on multi-level categorization

    Hi all,
I want to create a rule for service requests in the rule modeler based on multilevel-categorization. According to help.sap.com this should be possible.
But in the context SERVICEREQUEST there is no attribute for multi-level categorization and therefore I can't select it when creating my rule. I have assigned my categorization schema to the application area for the rule modeler. I have checked the other context areas as well, but I don't see anything that looks like multi-level categorization.
Does anyone have experience with this ? If the attribute should be created from scratch please guide me to how it should be configured.
    Best regards
    Annette

    Hello Annette,
Can you help me on this, how did you got the option for multilevel-categorization as attribute?
Even i am trying the same. This is critical for my project, any help wold be appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • Multi-level Categorization for Transaction type "Appointment"

    Good day, Experts,
I have been struggling in this solution for a while. Now here is the situation.
    1. Business Area: BUS_ACTIVITY have been activated in sytem.
I have copied standard Appointment '0000' into 'ZAPP'. I guess there is no further setting needed in this step.
    2. I have created  new Business Transaction Profile  for my Appoint 'ZAPP', activated multi-level categorization for it.
    3. I had problems on the Categorization Profile.
I  copied standard profile 'DEFAULT' into 'ZAPP2LVL', but I'm not sure what 'Ctxt.ID' should be used when added 'Categorization Context'. I have tried use 'BA' to represent 'Business Activity', but system keep warning me the 'ZAPP2LVL' was not from allowed namespace.
    4. I have created Categorization Schema with 'IC manger' role already, and activated it.
    ID:  ID_41
    Application Area
                                Appication ID:  Business Activity
                                Parameters:     Subject Profile
                                Subject Profile: Well defined before.
Please at least tell me if it's possible to do multilevel categorization for Appointment, Thanks a lot.

  • ERMS: Creation of Interaction Record and Service Ticket

    Hi All,
I am configuring the ERMS system (SAP CRM 2007). So far I am been able to get internal emails into the CRM system and the emails are getting routed to the respective agent's inbox based on the rule in Rule Modeler.
I have created rule for creating Interaction Record and Service ticket. However, Interaction Record and Service ticket are not getting generated. Also, I am not able to receive external emails (yahoo, gmail etc..) into SAPconnect.
Any input on these issues is appreciated.
    Thanks & regards.

    Hi Namita,
Same as the other thread, please make sure that the BP is identified for the incoming email and then only the creation of the IR/SO ERMS Actions will get executed with success.
I am not sure, whether you still face this issue ?
    Thanks & Best Regards,

  • DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SINGLE LEVEL AND MULTI LEVEL COSTING

    Sir,'
Please explain the difference between Single Level and Multi Level Costing in Detail
    thanking You

While using material ledger, we can use the single level or multi-level price determination for valuation of inventory.
Procurement processes are used in Product Cost Controlling to determine procurement costs and to present those costs. Purchase Order, for example, is single-level procurement and Production is multilevel procurement.
Single-level material price determination calculates the periodic unit price for a material. The standard price and the cumulative single-level differences of the period are taken into account. Single-level material price determination takes into account the differences that arise directly when a material is procured.
Multilevel price determination calculates the periodic unit price for a material. The standard price, the single-level differences cumulated in the period, the differences between planned and actual prices, as well as input material differences (multilevel differences) are all taken into account.
Single-level material price determination  is a prerequisite for Multi-level price determination.

  • Diff between two-level infrastructure and multi-level system landscape

    Hi Experts,
Can Anyone explain me what exactly is meant by two-level infrastructure (SAP and customer solutions) and multi-level system landscape (SAP, country-specific versions, industry solutions, partner, customer, and so on) in the below statement
In contrast to customer exits, Business Add-Ins no longer assume a two-level infrastructure (SAP and customer solutions), but instead allow for a multi-level system landscape (SAP, country-specific versions, industry solutions, partner, customer, and so on). You can create definitions and implementations of Business Add-Ins at any level of the system landscape

    Hi
The user-exit can be implemented once, i.e. it can be used once: so it can be used to solve a particular customer situation.
The BADI can have several implemantations, so the same BADI can be used several times, and so it can be used to solve problem of customer, for business (so different implemantion for every SAP vertical, for example one for AFS, one for OIL,......), for a specific for a country (it's the case for the FI BADIs used to solve different legal specific of every country where SAP is implemented), .......

  • Dates for Interaction records and other Business Activities in IC (CRM2007)

    Hello,
I noticed that for interaction records or follow up business activities the dates are not displayed at all in the IC. Is there a way make the configured dates (in date profile) visible in the IC?
    Thanks,
    Patrick

    Hi Raghavendran,
I am facing the same problem. Other than Appointments,Tasks,Email and Interaction record I cannot create any other Activities.
I defined a new Transaction type assigned the category Misc but cannot create the Activity on WEBUI. As Raja suggested I have also assigned the Channel as WEBUI and ICWEBCLIENT but still does not work. Is there any Role specific customization that needs to be performed?
Please let me know if your issue is resolved and how you resolved it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Single level and multi level price determination

    Hi,
Regarding single level and multilevel price determination, how system is arriving the figure of some portion to single level and some portion to multilevel. Can any one clarify the concept.
    govind.

    Hi
    Find below my clarification.
Multilevel price determination calculates the periodic unit price for a material. The standard price, the single-level differences cumulated in the period, the differences between planned and actual prices, as well as input material differences (multilevel differences) are all taken into account. The material price calculated in multilevel price determination can be used for inventory valuation.
    Follwing are Prerequisites\
    The material ledger is active.
    Actual costing is active.
The price determination indicator in the material master is set to 3.
The price control indicator in the material master is set to S.
Single-level price determination has been performed.
    Following are the fartures
A level is identified by a material and its associated procurement process. Multiple levels are the result of one material being used in another material. These multiple levels are reflected in the actual BOM that is created in the costing run in the step Determine Sequence.
In multilevel production, both single-level and multilevel price differences exist. If one material is used in another material, and single-level price differences exist for the input material, this results in multilevel price differences. In this way, differences are rolled up from raw materials through semifinished products to finished products. This solves the problem of follow-up costs.
The price calculated through price determination is updated as a periodic unit price (V price) in the Accounting 1 view of the material master record The price control indicator remains set to S. The standard price does not change.

  • Multi Level Categorization

    Hi All,
we have subject profile assigned to a transaction type.
this profile has two catalogs Problem and symptom code.
the first level is problem which has four entries and subsequent symptom code has 291 dropdown values
for first three problem we are able to see the second level dropdown values in UI.
the thrid problem code doesnot showing the second level values in UI.
we have re-imported the schema again from golden client to Testing client problem not solved and also recreated the schema only with problematic codes schema is not getting released.
    could anyone help on this.

    hi Guys ,
Got the Clue on this issue.
its max hits in the categorization profiles.

  • Need help with multi-level categorization

    Hi,
    We have the following scenario:
A complaint has a subject profile with two catalogs:
    1. Problem - 60 problem codes
    2. Solution - 30 solution codes
Each catalog has code groups and codes assigned as above.
In GUI we can address this using the catalogs, code groups and codes under "Analysis" tab at complaint header / item level. However, we want to switch over to categorization schema in CRM 7.0 Webclient UI.
I tried creating a categorization schema in Web UI. However, if I understand correct, for each of the 90 codes (60 + 30 mentioned above) I need to a add category id under the root schema id and assign a subject code under the general data of the category (while maintaining the category hierarchy). Is this true? I really cannot do it since I have already created the catalogs with the mentioned number of codes under the relevant code groups. Isn't it a duplication of effort? Whats the whole point of creating subject profiles / catalogs / code groups / codes if it has to be redone in webclient's categorization schema? Moreover, every time I add a problem code (say number of codes become 61 from 60), do I need to change the schema and release it again?
I believe there would be a simpler way to do it.
    My exact requirement is:
    1. I want to use only the first two drop downs of the categorization view in complaints component
    2. First drop down to have all the problem codes (60 of them)
    3. The second drop down to have all solution codes (30 of them).
Request the gurus to provide the exact steps to achieve this (_details in terms of exact steps will be appreciated and suitably rewarded_). Please note that the customizing in terms subjects, catalogs, code groups, codes etc is already in place.
    Regards,
    DP

    Hello DP,
we have in sum 4 categorie-fields in the service request.
And we did it like you explained it. First customizing of code / codegroups, etc.
Afterwards you have to create the categorization schema in WebUI.
And yes, everytime we add a code we need to change the categorization schema as well.
We maintain categorization schema in WebUI only in TCR and we use the RFC-Import for the QCR and PCR system.
You are right this is a duplication of effort. In our case it is needed because we use the SLA determintation based on catogorization and we have multilevel categories, which means depend from catagory A we have different entries in category B.
If you just need two dropdown boxes idependently from each other i would suggest to create to customer own fields with z-table behind. That´s much less effort if you often add or delete codes.
    Best regards
    Manfred

  • How to hide one of the two Multi level categorization blocks in SRVR?

    Hi
I am trying to hide one of the multilevel categorization blocks in SRVR(SERVICE request)
Can it be done by configuration in BSP workbench. If yes then how? I went to the view but I am not able to remove the block
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Tarang

Go to BSP_WD_CMPWB and create a new view by copying existing and remove the 2nd category block.
This can also be done directly from webui.

    Hi
What you are experiencing is SAP standard behaviour for an Active schema.
Once a Schema is made active you cannot modify the dates for that Schema.
For your new Schema Version set the Date and Time for when you wish the Schema to be active, best idea would be to set this to 5 minutes in the future. When this new schema becomes active your current Schema will be deactivated.
