Interaction record as follow up transaction inside a service order

Hello,
We have a process in ICWebClient where the flow is:
1) confirm an account
2) create an interaction record
3) create a service order with reference to an interaction record
4) Within a service order sometimes using follow up option we will need to create an interaction record.
We are done with 1..3 options and I am unsure about the 4th step .. how can we achieve this?
Any inputs in this regard are rewarded and appreciated.
Thank you,
Vijay

Hi,
Typically navigation between views can be achived by implementing plugs. In yous case as soon as you select Interaction record from drop-down list it should navigate to Interaction Record view.
When you select some value in a drop an event is triggered, within this event you can call the outbound plug within which you need to call navigation link. A navigation link is created in Run time repository which defines the source and destination views. Look at some of the existing examples you will get an idea.
Hope it helps.

  • Transaction inside web services, what does Oracle AS provides?

    Hi
Thank you for reading my post.
we have tens of web services that we want to deploy them inside one instance of Oracle AS, now we need to have some transaction support in several levels :
    - When we insert data into database in a single web services.
    - When we have JMS interaction in a single web service.
    - When we have JMS + Database interaction in a single web service.
    - When a taransaction start from one web service and it must propagate inside second web service and second web service will decide whether it should be commited or not.
What does Oracle AS provides in this area?
If there is no support for this kind of scenario in Oracle AS, then what we should do?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    1) if you are using Oracle Database 10g JDBC, it can pool connections for you, transparently -- if you are using Oracle AS or Oracle9iAS, you can just use JPublisher to generate the wrapper and deploy it.
    2) SSB is too heavy for just placing a JDBC call.
    3) a Servlet is lighter-weight that a SSB however, the Web services framework itself uses a Servlet to marchall / unmarshall SOAP messages -- unless your middle-tier requires a J2EE programming model (such as Servle or EJB) to pool JDBC connections
4)For calling-in database operations as web services, our implementation requires the Oracle AS (or Oracle9iAS) OC4J middle-tier (see #1) however, you can invoke external Web services from within the database.
See our Database Web services page for more details and code samples

  • Status in Interaction Record update based on a follow up Business Transacti

    Hi
I put in place within ICWC the Interaction record creation as initial step followed by a creation of a Service ticket.
I would like at the Completion of my service tickets the interaction record to be completed automatically as we dont want any agent to manually complete them.
    Thanks in advance

    CRM 4.0

    Hi,
I tried to come back to the idea of the Status Completed as default when Interaction Record is created.
    My scenario is:
    Confirm BP
    Confirm IBASE
Click Service ticket on the left Menu (Interaction Record Menu is not visible anymore)
then i am on the ticket...
    I noticed different small problems:
1/ The service organisation determination is not trigger anymore at the ticket creation, it is triggered only when an update occur on the ticket, in my case only when the classification is filled.
2/ When i saved the ticket, the Interaction Record appears in the Business Context, when i click on it (it is completed straigh away), but an error is present in the Interaction record, CRM_ORGMAN - 039 (Enter an organizational unit (Service))
When i had set up my interaction record status profile with more than one status (not Completed straight away) the error number 2 never occured.
The error number 1 always occurs if i use the scenario in ICWEB:
When i use one transaction type to multiple transaction type as dependent business transaction type, in my case the transaction type linked to my Business transaction profile (interaction Rec) is ZS33, then as default Service Transaction in the Dependand transaction i used a ZEST.
Config done in  SAP Implementation Guide -> Customer Relationship Management -> Interaction Center WebClient -> Business Transactions ->  Define Business Transaction Profiles
In case that i used directly ZEST as the default transaction type for my Business Transaction profile the Org determination occurs correctly.
As anyone seen this problem before?
Or is there anything to do to transfer the org from the Interaction Record to the Service Ticket? is there a link?
I have been through all the topics about Interaction record but couldnt find anything related to my problem.
    Thanks in advance

  • Follow-Up Dropdown Lists Not Appearing in Interaction Record

    Dear SAP experts,
I have setup Interaction Record as the leading transaction in the WebIC. In the Follow-Up area, user should be able to select a list of Transaction Type from the drop down menu eg: Sales Order, Service Request etc. I have configured the following but the dropw down menu is still not showing any items. I can however see the items only in SAP GUI, but NOT in the WebUI.
    1) Define Copying Control for transaction type eg: ZSIR (interaction record) --> ZSRV (service request)
    2) Defined the Transaction Type
    3) Defined Business Transaction Profile for ZSIR (interaction record) with Dependent Business Objects include ZSRV (service request)
Could anyone tell me what i am missing? Do i need to perform the copy control for Item Cat as well?
    Please advice.
    Thanks

I have not even come to that part yet. What i need now is the list of transaction types to be appeared in the Follow-Up drop down. How does partner determination cause whether the list appeared in the drop down or not. There's something really weird, when i unchecked the Settings for Activities for Business Activity Copy Control, one of the item does appeared in the drop down.

  • Open follow up transaction type screen automatically after confirm account

    Hi Gurus,
I have a transaction type Z010 for interaction record that is copied from standart 0010 transaction type.
I define dependent transaction type SRVO that is service order as a follow up of Z010
My requirement is to open automatically open service order screen after confirming account
As agents must do everything vey quickly while they are on phone, it is needed urgently.
Now they have to open Z010 interction record screen, have to press follow up button, click to clipboard and then can open the scrren of service order.
How can we automatically open service order screen after confirming account??
I will be very pleased if you will help...
    Thanks.

    Hi Denis, thanks for reply.
I read it and see that interaction record is automatically created. How can it be made, is it a standard customizing?? Our interaction record is created automatically when follow up process-it is service order here- is created. First we confirm customer, then press to Interaction Record at the left hanside, then in this screen we press follow-up button, then click on Activity Clipboard, then service order screen is opened. I want to pass two steps, pressing Interaction Record and pressing follow up record, how can I do this??
Exactly I have to define process type Business Activity for interaction record, I can't give Service Order process type directly to interaction record. Service Order type must be dependent to business activity, is it true?? If there is a way to directly giving service order type as an interaction record type, and making interaction record creation automatically after confirming, my problem is solved as very well.

  • Dates for Interaction records and other Business Activities in IC (CRM2007)

    Hello,
I noticed that for interaction records or follow up business activities the dates are not displayed at all in the IC. Is there a way make the configured dates (in date profile) visible in the IC?
    Thanks,
    Patrick

    Hi Raghavendran,
I am facing the same problem. Other than Appointments,Tasks,Email and Interaction record I cannot create any other Activities.
I defined a new Transaction type assigned the category Misc but cannot create the Activity on WEBUI. As Raja suggested I have also assigned the Channel as WEBUI and ICWEBCLIENT but still does not work. Is there any Role specific customization that needs to be performed?
Please let me know if your issue is resolved and how you resolved it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • CRM Interaction Record Activity

    Dear friends,
In my business when i create follow up transaction in interaction record ,a business activity transaction is created automatically with the follow up transaction so i want to prevent the automated transaction from being automated.
    Best Regards,
    Mohamed

    Mohammad
As Joaquin & Andrei mentioned, you can definitely suppress the creation of interaction record. The side effect of switching off the interaction record is that the content of activity clip board cannot be linked.
To overcome this we need to implement the BADI : CRM_IC_PRCSCTRL_BADI, Method : IS_LINK_ACTION_ALLOWED
    This will fix the Problem.
    Many Thanks

  • Error message when saving an Interaction Record: Document distributed

    Hello experts,
We are currently getting error message: "Document is being distributed - changes are not possible" when saving an Interaction Record in Web IC (We use CRM 6 - 2007).
We've noticed that saving an interaction record triggers an outbound BDoc of type "BUS_TRANS_MSG". In order to prevent this BDoc to be generated, we deactivated the processing for the One-Order BDoc with transaction SMW3_0. However, this had the side effect that quotations were not replicated from CRM to ECC so we can't really use this approach.
Has anyone faced this issue before? Do you know how to fix it?
    Thanks.

    Hi
The initital status of Interaction record must ensure that transaction is not relevant for distribution. This ensures that CRM doesnot try to send the transaction to ERP through middleware.
Go to SPRO ->CRM -> Transactions -> Basic Settings -> Status Management ->Change Status Profile for User status
Here, select your status profile and click on the intiial status, scroll down and go to 'to be distributed' and select the radio button 'Forbidden'
    This will solve the problem.
    Many Thanks

  • Webclient Interaction record for R/3 sales order

    Hi,
we need to capture the interaction record for each and every call related to order. we don't want to use the webclient or pcui sales order becuase of their limitations... we want all the feature of R/3 sales order like extended material search, purchase order type.... kind of fields and search help on them.
so what is the best way to approach if we want the order to be created in R/3 and capture the interaction record? would a regular BOR call from webclient for R/3 Sales Order would do it?
    thanks,

I would suggest we still use the Interaction Record Functionality in IC Web . So thi is what I am suggesting :
    1.  Customer calls in for placing a Order
    2. CSR receives the call ( CTI  ) and Confirms the Account . Once Clicked on Confirm , you can auto navigate to Interaction Record View
    3. CSR can capture whatever details , INtereaction Record Specific ( Like IR Type -> Order etc )  ,  and Save to create the IR .
    4. Once Saved , You can dynamically make available , Button or Navigational Link 'Create Order' ( Will Only appear if IR Type is 'Order' etc )  .
Now Clickin on Create Order , you have different options
    i) Launch into ECC ( VA01 ) using Transaction launcher to Create the Order
ii) If you are on CRM 5.0 , make use of the new CRM Sales Order Creation ( This Basically provides a very Intuitive BSP View , however the Orders are getting created in ECC Itself , No Replication required )
    Hope this helps.

  • Disable Interaction Record

    Hi,
We are implementing IC Web Client with Service Add-On Extension.
I have couple of questions on IC Web.
1)Can we disable Interaction Record in IC Web Client?
2)Can we search a Service Ticket by NOTES field?(I think it is Content Management)
    Thanks in Advance

I am not too sure about the search on service ticket using the Notes Function, but let me make an attempt at answering your question on Interaction Record.
The Interaction Record is central to the ICWC as it enables the system to know that an interaction has happened. So it might not be wise to completely disable the interaction record.
But you can play around with the Business Transaction profile to embed your interaction record within the Sales or Service Transaction. ( The customizing is explained in one of the slides of the CR410 course ).
So you can avoid creating an interaction record and a sales transaction for example seperately and have both of them embedded in on transaction.
Please let me know if you need more information

  • Problem follow-up item from Service Order to Complaint in IC CRM 7

    Hi gurus,
From a Z Interaction Center CRM 7 role (Front Office agent) create by ourselves, we need to create a follow-up complaint from a service order, exactly we need to create a CRMC transaction follow-up from a SRVO transaction. We have do the copying control between these two transactions.
The items categories that we use are, for SRVO transaction, the SRVS category (Product) and, for CRMC transaction, the COMP category (Complaint). We also have do the copying control between these two items categories.
In addition, we have defined the following item category determination when copying:
    Source category: SRVS (Product)
    Target transaction type: CRMC (Complaint)
    Target item category: COMP (Complaint)
When we use a the CRM 7 role SERVICEPRO (Back Office agent), we can create a Complaint (CRMC) follow-up from a Service Order (SRVO) and immediately it appears a pop-up that allows to select the item of the Service Order to add it as a item of the Complaint. But when we use the Z Interaction Center CRM 7 role and do the same, we can't select this item, no pop-up appears.
Please, is it necessary to do some configuration for it? Our Front Office Agent has to be able to do it.
    Regards,
    Jesus

    Hi Jesus,
I was suspecting this, we had a similar problem in CRM 6.0, i thought this is no more there in CRM 7.0. Well we had raised an OSS message for this and the reply was a development in the view or use the service pro view(sans)ICWEB apllications.
This happens with any followup you want to create in the ICWEB view since there is no pop up here.
I would suggest you to raise an OSS for this

  • Unable to View Follow up Transactions in Interaction Record

    Hello All,
I have created a prospect performed the lead transaction on the prospect from the IC Role, the interaction record gets created as per the customization settings maintained, I have also performed a follow up meeting request on the lead transaction however in the follow up tab of the Interaction record, the transaction type, description and employee responsible are all blank, please advice what customization settings I need to perform for the same
    Kind Regards
    Atul

    Hi Atul,
As indicated by Garcia, the follow up view on the interaction record view set only allows creation of follow up transaction and is not indicated to display already created follow up transactions.
You can enter data, like "description" in the follow up view and
press button "Follow Up" for  Quick Create: here a new follow up transaction is created in the background for the entered data and added to the activity clipboard. To display the business transaction, you can click on the link in the activity clipboard
click on link "Follow Up Details":  a follow up transaction is created with the data but user automatically navigates to the corresponding view to enter additional information. Also in this case, the follow up transaction is added to the activity clipboard.
You might check KBA 1781481 for troubleshooting follow up transaction and note 2039600 which introduces display of the activity clipboard in the navigation bar.

  • Follow Up and task for Interaction Record

we have IC Web and need to create Follow up and Task as follow up task  from the interaction record.
Can you please help me find steps to configure the same,

    Suki,
I was maybe a little bit too fast:-)
Goto spro->CRM->interaction center webclient->business transaction profiles.
There you find some entries, select the business transaction profile that is attachted to your ICweb main profile.
Here you have an entry trans. type where you can select your interaction record transaction type, this is considered your 'leading' transaction type. A leading transaction type is the transaction that always will be created when an interaction occurs in the webclient. If you created some entries in the copy-control customizing action for your interaction record (let's say trans type= ZINT) like I explained in earlier post, you should check that the same transaction type is used here, the ZINT.
When you select your business transaction profile you see some options on the left ('Dependent bus trans', 'assign price type and price type list' and 'content management templates').
Select 'Dependent business transactions'. Here you can enter your transaction types that are applicable for your scenarios, you see four radiobutton options 'Sales', 'Service', 'Lead' and 'complaint'. Here you can choose which transaction type to be used in what scenario. If you enter here your sales order transaction and flag 'Sales' as scenario it should appear in the follow-up dropdownlistbox in the interaction record view. (And is also used as trans type when you select 'sales order' in the navigation bar in the webclient) The same counts for complaints.
Hope it's a little bit clear now!
    Regards,
    Joost
