Interactive and digital booklet problems

I need help with itunes 8 digital and interactive booklets. i specifically the interactive ones, i cannot get them to view properly, there was a time when i could look at one and keep listening to music uninterrupted . . what happened? i remember it being some type of setting in quicktime but couldnt make it work. then i made the mistake of changing one of the booklets to "movie" under media type and now when i try and change it back all i get is options for types of movies, i cannot change it back to music. please help!

I don't think so. I've been looking for a solution (how to fix my interactive booklets) for well over a year. All of them at this point have been reset as movies instead of music files and they don't play properly under iTunes 8.

Digital Booklet Problem

Recently I bought the soundtrack to Star Trek Into Darkness and it comes with a Digital Booklet. When I show the Get Info screen and click on Options the Media Kind is grayed out. Is there any other way to make it into a book so I can view it in iBooks on my iPod touch.

Right-click on it, select Show in Windows Explorer. Select and press CTRL+C, browse to the Automatically Add to iTunes folder in your media folder and press CTRL+V. You should get a new copy of the booklet in the iBooks section of your library.

ITunes Store via iPod Touch WiFi download for Digital Booklet

I purchased Drastic Fantastic/KT Tunsall's new music Deluxe Version. I note that the Digital Booklet extras did not download to the iPod touch via the WiFi download. Nor did they download on their own when I did the synch with my laptop. Finally I went into my iTunes account via my laptop and viewed my purchases. Sure enough they were purchased. I then use the check for purchases on iTunes and it still didn't catch the missing booklets. Finally I went into my account to report the trouble and they started to download.
Are the booklets too big to come directly to the iPodTouch via Wifi? Are they supposed to download later on your computer when you go to the iTunes Store?

All videos and digital booklets are downloaded separately after you have synced your ipod touch to the computer and your itunes library. Every album that has a digital booklet states this at the very bottom of the album list on wifi ITMS. When you try to sync a digital booklet to the ipod touch you get a error message stating that "Name of booklet cannot be synced to the ipod touch." Its not a size issue just simply that they are not compatible with the ipod touch.

Digital booklets in iTunes

I recently bought an album on iTunes that included a digital booklet. Usually, digital booklets show up in your iTunes music library as a PDF. However, when I copied the album and Digital Booklet to another of my computers by the "add to library" menu option, the music was correctly placed in the Music library, but the digital booklet went into the Books library in iTunes and I cannot move it to the Music library where it should be. Is there a setting preventing me from doing so? Or what am I doing wrong?

Given that iBooks supports PDFs and iTunes will manage any Digital Booklets purchased as part of an album from the iTunes Store, the default is to put imported PDFs into the Books source. Select the item in iTunes, Get Info. and on the Options tab set the media kind to Music. On the Info tab ensure the Name is set to *Digital Booklet - Album* and that the *Artist, Album Artist, & Album* fields match the rest of the album.

Problem opening digital booklets

Just purchased and downloaded an album from iTunes yesterday and all went well except I cannot open the digital booklet. I get an error message, "Preview couldn't open file. It may be corrupt or a file that Preview doesn't recognize".
The booklet is a pdf file which I've opened numerous times on my Mac without issue. I also copied the booklet to my desktop and attempted to oped directly with Adobe Reader and I get the error message, "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be opened."
Anyone else experience this problem? Any help is appreciated.

Problems with importing digital booklets in iTunes 12

Hi there!
I'm using several Macs, all with iTunes 12.0.1 and I have the same problem on all computers: I can't import PDFs as digital booklets for my albums anymore!
There's no problem with digital booklets that come with purchases on the iTunes-Store. But if I import a CD into my iTunes and scan the booklet as an a PDF (as I always did in the last years), I can't import the PDF to my mediathek anymore! It will not be shown in my iTunes.
Does someone have the same problem and perhaps knows a solution for this? Is this just a bug in the current version of iTunes or has something changed with the handling of importing the digital booklets and I'm just to blind to see?

I created a PDF with my scanner software and Acrobat Pro like I always did an tried to import this PDF into iTunes on two ways: First by simply dragging it to the iTunes window (which was no problem before I updated to 12.0.1) and then I tried via the file-menu "Add to mediathek..." (which is Key cmd-O).
I'm using the german version of iTunes - please excuse, if the translation of the menu item is not correct! The german version ist "Ablage -> "Zur Mediathek hinzufügen..."!
Is it possible, that the booklet is shown on some place that i don't find?

HT203433 I bought a cd today, and the digital booklet came with it, (Of course). But when I click on the digital booklet, it opens up in Microsoft Words with no pics/lyrics/artwork. Instead, I get like 200 pages of a bunch of Gibberish letters/symbols :

Hello fellow iTunes users. My issue is related to the one above.
I can successfully download the digital booklet included with Taylor Swift's Red Deluxe album, but when I try to open it in Adobe Reader (and the pdf reader included with Windows 8), the following error screen appears:
I have tried to re-download the file several times - and on a different computer. Is Apple aware of this issue and, if so, is there a fix for it? Both are using Windows x64 versions. One is running Windows 7, the other running (the truly awful) Windows 8.

p.s. I upgraded to iTunes 11 before this purchase and I find iTunes 11 to be a marked improvement on v10 and the only reliable media player that I am able to use on Windows 8, so congratulations Apple for doing a better job than Microsoft when it comes to Windows 8 compatibility, lol!

Digital Booklet - music and booklet in unfortunate separation.

Hi everyone - this is my first post in this forum.
I have an annoyance with iTunes and it is driving me to the border of sanity... Here goes:
I've purchased an album in iTunes including a digital booklet. At first all appeared to be correct. However, I wanted to be able to view my booklet on the iPhone 3GS, so I changed the booklet's type to 'Book' instead of 'Music'. Now it disappeared from the album and appeared in Books and sync'ed perfectly to the iPhone - no problem so far.
OK - then after some weeks or so I removed the album and booklet from my iPhone and I wanted to view the booklet as type 'Music' in iTunes again. Change type to 'Music' and ...??? What the... Allright, the booklet is in "place" in 'Music' but as a separate album.
Why is that - and more important --> how do I fix it? Tags are already updated in the booklet to reflect the correct artist and album.

HT1848 I purchased a album on my iPhone and was playing it for several days... Last night after syncing it to my laptop i no longer have it on my phone and the only thing that shows up in my iTunes is the digital booklet.

How in the world do i get my lost Album back?
I purchased a Album from Itunes on my iphone, Played it for several days. Then when I synced my phone to my laptop, the album is no longer there. It shows up in the Itunes on my computer but only as the digital booklet, which you are supposed to get after a purchase.
I tried downloading all songs into itunes, that didnt work. I tried logging out of my account with no avail. I tried seeing if i could go into iTunes again and buy redownload it. But it showes that I have to purchase it again...
Any help would be appreciated.

Digital Publishing and Interactivity with digital magazine on my own server

Hello... I am researching what would be the best plan of action for my project... need to design a digital magazine for the web that is interactive and has rich media like video, animations, etc.
I am thinking of doing the following... design my animations in Edge Animate that will output html5 friendly animations, then use Indesign to design my master digital magazine like the way I want to with embedded rich media and symbols that have interactivity options.
I am unsure of my next step, or if I am on the right track... should I bring in this Indesign file as a format compatible with Html5, CSS3, Wordpress or what? And use Jquery plugins within the overall structure to add flash like effects.
Any suggestions?

With Add HTML-content tool you can add Adobe Edge project into any page you like, simly zip-package the project and make sure that there´s a file named index.html inside the package.

TS1424 I need help, see there is this Digital Booklet that is supposed to be included with the purchase of an album but i still for some odd reason haven't and can't get it, what is going on?!?!

Songs: I bought all three songs in the album which counts as buying the album yet the Digital Booklet won't download like it says it should due to the album being bought which is what I did.

Thinking back to when I've seen displays of newsprint that's been greatly magnified, being able to see the halftone screen pattern seems important. It gives the display a look of authenticity.
You say the library can scan at 600 ppi. If that's 600 ppi of a greatly reduced image on a piece of microfiche, it may not give you the resolution you're looking for, and it's entirely possible that getting a quality optical print then scanning it would give you better.
I don't see how you can plan how to proceed in anything like specific detail if you don't have an image that represents what you're really going to be starting with in detail. Perhaps getting one scan might be a good idea.
After that, you just need to figure out what ppi your final overall panel design is going to be at, and upsample the newspaper clippings to match, so that they're the size you need them to be.

I downloaded a CD with a digital booklet and the booklet won't open.

All of the songs will play, but when I try to open the digital booklet, it says "The file could not be opened. It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn’t recognize." Any ideas on how I can view this? I paid for it so I'd like to be able to use it.

It sounds like you downloaded the digital booklet and it will not open. I would suggest you delete the file from your iTunes library, and then re download it from the iTunes store with this article:
