Interactive forms by email - PRINTING SCENARIO - From ERP output
Hi,
We have been using interactive forms for printing scenarios for a while and it works fine.
From a sales order we produce an output configured to use the interactive forms by adobe.
Now, we'd like to use the EXTERNAL SEND (5) and send by email. While we've done this in the past with sapscript and smartforms, we have no reference on what is the best way to do this. There is a sample program BCS_EXAMPLE_6 that uses BCS class to achive this.
Is it the recommended way to do it? If not, please give me the alternative.

I need to send the email while submiting the form.So when and how i will be mapping each data node /attibutes of the main form with the intermediate form.My interactive form is of 30 pages and it may grow upto 40 pages.My response is with the to the main form where i am showing the success message.

Sending Offline Interactive Form Via Email
Hi,
I am running NW 2004s SPS09 and trying to configure GP to use offline adobe interactive forms. As of now, I am able to create a callable object from an Adobe template, prefill fields from other background execution/web service callable objects, and launch a process when the form is submitted via email. I am having trouble routing the form to the next processor through email. I created an interactive form callable object, checked 'Enable Use In Guided Procedures' and selected 'Create Offline Interactive Form And Send By E-Mail'. My first thought was that there was some delay in the sending of emails, but callable objects in other processes that send plain text notifications work fine. The process does not enter an erroneous state and waits at that action. Looking at the GP monitor under NW administration, the correct processor is set for the action, but the task does not appear in the user's UWL or GP runtime center (I figure this is because the task is meant to be completed offline). Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

We have migrated one of our portal systems from 7.0 to 7.4. There is one application which uses Adobe Interactive Forms. The same DC when we tested on Development environment works fine as expected. The same thing when deployed to QA system, I am getting the below error:

It seems you have already confirmed point 1, so please check point 2.
Also check SAP note 1443819 part "Check the configuration", if the service is not working, you have to config the service according to SAP note 1443819.

Can ABAP Webdynpro use interactive form or just print only
I saw a diagram in the ADS configuration Guide for SP10 what shows that the ABAP side of the configuration is only for print forms. Now my question is: can ABAP Webdynpro include an interactive Adobe form in the view? Has anyone done it before? It seems that it is only for Java Webdynpro that the interactive part is working.
If you have done one, can you share some information?

Interactive form on Zebra Printer
I am having an issue printing a custom paper type to a zebra printer.
I'm trying to print a 3.5 x 3.5 inch label onto a zebra 6mplus (zpl 1 and zpl2 supported, 203dpi) printer. I have done the following:
1. In adobe lifecycle designer 9.0, I have modified the designer.xdc file to have the following entry:

2. Defined a form using the new paper type 3.5x3.5
3. In SAP, copied the standard zpl203.xdc file, renamed it to z_zpl203.xdc and used program RSPO0022 to link the new file
to a new device type ZAZPL203. The modified xdc file has the following entry:

Instead of 1 label, I'm getting a blank label, my desired content slightly shifted and then another blank label. If I look at the trace file and I can see that my xdc file is being considered.

Problem in sending online interactive form in email as PDF attachment
Hi,
I am trying to send online intercative forms as PDF attachment once user fills it and click on send button. But this mail i am trying to send from SAP workflow. For this am using one function module which is accepting the pdfsource context attribute of binary type as Xstring. Once i run the webdynpro application i am getting mail in out look but when i open the attachment i am getting error file is damaged.
Can you pls help me in solving this, Or any other way for doing the same.

I am trying to send online intercative forms as PDF attachment once user fills it and click on send button. But this mail i am trying to send from SAP workflow. For this am using one function module which is accepting the pdfsource context attribute of binary type as Xstring. Once i run the webdynpro application i am getting mail in out look but when i open the attachment i am getting error file is damaged.
Can you pls help me in solving this, Or any other way for doing the same.

Hi folks,
I am trying to use an interactive form to capture some data from the user.
This is what I have planned to do
User runs a program which will have four function module calls
(FP_JOB_OPEN
FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME
'Function modules which the above function module returned'
FP_JOB_CLOSE)
This will display a print box where I can click on the print preview to get the interactive form.
From here I am not sure how to go about, but following is what I can think
Once the user enters the data in the form and he should be given some button to click(say save). This button click should trigger the program (PAI) which will read the data from the form (this data will be saved to a Z table)..
First of all, Can I do this? Please guide
Note: I am not using WebDynpro ABAP or JAVA. Rather I am trying to use a Module pool + interactive form solution.

These is a tutorial on implementing Offline Interactive PDF Forms using Email to both send out and receive the form back using WebDynpro for Java.
Is it possible to implement the same using WebDynpro for ABAP, specifically receiving the forms via email server.

To print image in Non interactive form
I have a requirement where image file is attached to QM02 transaction, now i want to print the attached image on QM02 print output. I am planning to use Non interactive form method to print the form output.
Can anyone pls guide me how to insert/print image file which is attached at the transaction level.Otto:
I followed the steps you have described in one of your earlier reply but I am unable to see the image on the non-interactive ADOBE form.
Here is what I did.
1) In the "Code Initialization" section of the form, I coded to get the SE78 stored image in to XSTRING field (by calling method cl_ssf_xsf_utilities=>get_bds_graphic_as_bmp)
2) I created the image field and bound it to the XSTRING field derived in step 1. And I check marked "embed image" in layout of the image field.
I also followed some other threads on this forum and tried to create a graphic node with a global field of mime type "BMP" and bound my XSTRING data onto it but to no avail.
Any ideas?

Problem in accessing the Interactive forms in an ISR Senario(like MSS)

I am facing a problem whenever I try to access the interactive form.I am doing this from the standard Business Package, MSS.
I have done all the configurations needed for these ISR Senarios.
I suspect the the error is because of some missing IMG customizing.
Pls provide some directions to solve this problem.

I created a form and successfully sent it to my non-sap mail box. I opened the pdf attachment in acrobat reader and found input fields and a sendmail button as designed. But I could not use the input fields and the send button does not work.
Do I need additional software or maybe anything is wrong with my form?

I could not find anything to control if my form is generated "interactive", I just create in SFP and actiavte it.
I do not understand fully, what 'FP_JOB_OPEN' and 'FP_JOB_CLOSE' is good for - without 'FP_JOB_CLOSE' it runs as well.

Conflict with Adobe Professional while opening Adobe Interactive form
Hello Experts,
We have developed an Adobe Interactive form which is being lauched from the Portal. Every functionality is working good.
Some of the users have Adobe professional on their machines and when they try to launch the Adobe Form, the form gets automatically opened in the Adobe Professional. Pls note that I have set the file types for PDFu2019s to open with Adobe Reader.
However this setting is getting overwritten and the form opens up in Professional always. Some Interactive form functionality is not supported by Professional, thus those users are not able to use the form.
Has anyone had this Adobe Read-Professional conflict before? Please let me know how this can be corrected. I am have not been able to find much help until now.

What is the Adobe Professional version that you are using currently? Maybe I should test with the latest version.
