Intercompany Purchase in SRM.

Hi Friends,
Could you please provide some inputs on how to achieve the following?
Basically we are trying to do intercompany purchase in SRM. Company X procure services from Company Y(Who are another subsidiary of X - i.e.Intercompany) via SRM. so far these have been external orders, but they need to switch them to an inter-company style purchase order rather than an external purchase order that has been used before.
Question is how we can pick the corresponding PO document type while we convert the SHC into PO?. It is quite straight forward to configure an additional document type in SRM and when a buyer creates a PO manually they can simply select an alternative PO type. But how it will be acheived through Shopping cart converted to PO automatically.
Thanks....naga.

Any thoughts/inputs?

  • SAP SRM Intercompany purchase

    Hello experts,
could you give inputs how intercompany purchase is done in srm?
we're in srm 7.0 ehp3 extended classic scenario with one ecc system.
we have a scenario where company will purchase service/products from another company (subsidiary).
may i know how this is implemented in standard?
also if there's any difference (in terms of config needed) in intercompany purchase of material versus services.
    appreciate any input..
we're thinking of setting up intercompany vendors with plant assignments..
meaning , set up vendor ICXXXX in backend, replicate it to SRM as any other kind of vendor, and add plant assignment to the vendor in MM.
    is this a sound approach?
    thanks in advance

    Hello Dex,
During one of my earlier experiences there was indeed a scenario wherein they had ECS and were using STO as well.
Some of the things which you might consider during the setup of the same in your system could be
    1. Separate Number ranges setup in the system for STO PO's.
    2. Additionally they had created a new Document type for the STO PO's which were created from SRM system (primarily for identification purpose. you can explore using the standard document types as well)
    3. They also had vendor created with plant assignments.
    4. Also check with ABAP whether any changes are needed to ensure that the PO's are properly created in backend through the BADI.
Other than this i don't see any other configurations that need to be done.

  • Goods receipt in intercompany purchase order

    Hi,
In case of an intercompany purchase order ( plant to plant with different co. codes) when Goods Issue is done in supplying plant and Goods Receipt is done in receiving plant, then still reversal of Goods Issue is possible and stock gets updated in both the plants after reversal.
In supplying plant it is added equal to reversed qty but in receiving  plant it does not get cancelled but remains the same as after GR
Logically system should prevent the reversal but it does not happen
The same case with stock transport order ( plant to plant in a single co. code) if executed system prevents GI reversal if GR is already done
The movement type called in intercompany flow is 643 where as in stock transport order it is 641
    Can somebody explain the reason?
    Nitin

    hii
Its possible to change the order number while doing GR- MIGO.
Go to ME22N, before GR do the changes in order in account item category in item level tab in PO.
    Then do GR .
    Thanks

  • Intercompany Purchase Order adress display based on output conditon

  • Automatic account postings (for Intercompany Purchase order and Sales order

    Hi all,
I need some help related to the automatic account postings (for Intercompany Purchase order and Sales order)which i can set for the follwoing scenarios. I have looked on the forms and searched alot but not able to a single solution to solve both the pupose. if one scenario works the other doesnt. Please advise.
I have created the master data
    Customer receiving--G001
    Sales Org.--GXIN
    Distr. Channel- 01
    Division - 00
    Company code receiving - G1
    customer supplying- V001
    company code for supplying- V1
    2 different scenarios
1- Intercompany Purchase order in which a Customer receiving- G001, gets stock replenishment NB purchase order from supplying company V1- GI  and GR of stock is done. Biling document for customer receiving G001 is created. But now I need a way to do the opposite side posting at the supplying customer -V001-- this I do using an Idoc which creates a Invoice receipt for creditor(supplying customer) V001.
    2. Sales order-- A customer X001 of company code G1 buys stock from the company code V1. the customer G001 of company code G1 bills the customer X001, but the intercompany billing doc/ invoice is created for the customer G001 by company code V1.  then now i want an automatic account posting to be created at the supplying customer V001 via idoc.
Can this be achivable via Idoc with automatic account postings.
Please let me know if it doesnt make sense. thanks to all in advance
    cheers
    Jasmeet

    Hi all,
For the Sales order and automatic posting we have created an output type ZR4N- this is creating a batch input session which can be triggered to be processed autmatically.
For the intercompany Purchase order -from Invoice we are creating a different output RD04 (sap standard) which creates invoice receipt at the vendor side.
Rest of the settings are defined using SAP standard functionality within transaction OBCA, OBCB, OBCC, OBCD,OBCE
    thanks for viwing the post
    Cheers

  • Intercompany purchase copies sales amount-but applies base currency

    Hi
We have 2 companies-one with base currency INR and second with base currency USD.  Some customer orders are taken by USD company which gets goods producted at INR company. By assigning INR company's plant in USD companies sales order, we can generate production orders and poduce goods in INR company against the order received byUSD company. This cycle is working fine.
Sale from INR company generates "Intercompany sales"  entry in ledger. This also triggers "Intercompany purchse" in USD company. However, we have an issue if the sales order currency is different from USD.
If the order is received in EUR, INR company's sales show the invoice in EUR and posts in INR based on the exchange rate maintained. However, system carries forward the same amount to Intercompany purchase and only the currency gets changed in USD compan. (Eg. if the sales invoice of INR company is 100 EUR, system is generating a corresponding intercompany purchase of 100 USD in USD company. It should have either created intercompany transaction with 100 EUR or 135 USD in USD company).
However when we do any other FI transaction in other currencies, system correctly posts them applying exchange rate.
This appears to be some minor configuration issue. Would appreciate, if someon can help us identify and resolve this issue.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Cross-intercompany purchasing --about goods receipt in the receiving plant

    Hello, everyone.
In cross-intercompany purchasing process, the goods receipt in the receiving plant can not posted at the same time as the goods issue in the issuing plant, but i have done  the relevant custom design in system, the path as below:
Material managementPurchasingPurchase orderSet up stock transport orderAssign document type, one step-procedure, underdelivery tolerance.
    I selected the one step-procedure.
Anyone can tell me that's why ? thanks.
    xinzhou.

There is no doupt that it is possible to do either a 1step or a 2step transfer between to companies.
you usually choose the one or the other based on the time needed for the transfer.
I have 2 legal entities at the very same physical place. So the goods do not even move physically while the ownership changes.  In this case I use 1step.

  • B1i 2007 - I cannot choose Receiver's System in Intercompany Purchasing

    Hi Experts,
    I have create 2 Landscape called "Head1", "Sub1".
Here i went and define "Intercompany Purchasing" scenarion under Business Process. Now i can able to see Sender's System such as "Head1" and "Sub1".
*But i cannot able to see anything on my Receiver's System combo Box. *
Please assist me how to delimite Sender's System and Receiver's System in B1i.
    Regards,
    G.Suresh

Are you working with the pre-packaged bizpackages, or have you developed your own one?
Please clarify what you are doing as you have now mentioned Intercompany purchasing and now B1BP2B1BP which seems like a custom scenario created by you; in which case you wouldn't be following a guide.
If it is own developed, you just need to add a system property to your B1 version type; this can be done when in the graphical design tool, select the relevant option (I think it was on the left of the screen, in the lower section - I do not have B1i available right now) and add the property "Headquarter Vendor No." - Or else check the extensibility guide for instructions on how to do it. As I cant open B1i to check, you will have to search around a bit unless someone else can come in and help you - but I know it is possible through the graphical design tool, click on your sender or receiver system and then add a new property.
If it is predefined scenario, B1-B1 will not work as they only work between B1-R/3 & what is happening is the property you want is only defined on R/3 system type so that is why you do not see it...

  • Intercompany purchase

    Dear Experts,
My company havenu2019t use any intercompany facilities that provided dy SAP. Now we would like to use that in our business process.
    - c/code 0001 u2013 company A
    - c/code 0002 & 0003 u2013 B & C (manufacturing plant)
    - create PO via ME21N & GR via MIGO u2013 system post to stock acct. that set in OBYC in Purchase account EIN & Purchase offsetting account EKG. How system pick the GL acc. based on valuation class that set in accounting view 1 in material master.
    - this is normal process that system post to respective gl acc the moment we bought from external vendor.
    - now c/code 0001 purchase from 0002 & 0003, it should post to different gl acc instead of post to general gl acc that we set in OBYC based on valuation class. This purpose is to differentiate the purchase that made from external vendor & intercompany purchase & also it should post to correct gl acc. I believe this call as intercompany purchase.
Appreciate if anyone could assist me on this settings. TQ

  • Mapping of Intercompany transaction between SRM & SAP R/3

    Hi SRM gurus,
We have a scenario where the client wants intercompany transactions to be mapped between SRM & R/3.
    i) they say according  to interco transactions, using SRM PO, the following journal entry will be posted upon GRN:
                        Dr           Expense
Cr          A/P to Co Code 1 for SRM Vendor code
Question : if co code 1 recognizes A/R in Intercompany code, can we match the balance i.e : is it possible to recognize "A/P to Co Code 1 for SRM Vendor code" as Intercompany balance
ii) When Co. 1 pays for pdts / services on behalf of Co. 2, an intercompany, the journal entry will be as follows :
    Co. 1 : Payment voucher (FB60)
    a) on GRN :
                        Dr   Prepaid promotion
                              Cr    GR/IR Clearing
    b) on IR :
                        Dr    GR/IR Clearing
                              Cr    A/P to Vendor
    Co. 1 : Journal Entry (FB70)
    Charge to Co. 2
                        Dr. A/R from Co. 2
                              Cr.  Prepaid Promotion
Co. 2 : Journal Entry (MIRO)
On Invoice Recipt to Co. 1
                        Dr. Expense
                              Cr. A/P to Co. 1
Is it possible to make a set of journal entries as below by make config changes in SAP R/3 :
    Co.2 :
    Upon GRN : Dr Expense
                           Cr GR/IR Clearing
Upon IR :   Dr GR/IR Clearing
                           Cr A/P to Co.1
    Co.1:
Upon IR :   Dr. from Co. 2
                           Cr. A/P to Vendor
The client wants to track the above postings scenario through old vendor code which is used as SRM vendor code and which is same as maintained in R/3 vendor master "Previous acct. no." field in Accounting view. To me the above entry on IR in R/3 is not at all feasible.
Like to have your expert suggestions on the above scenario how to map b/w SRM & SAP R/3.
    Rgds,
    Samik

Hi. What exactly are you looking for with the vendor material number? Note 444976 and 412817 are about it not transferring, butthey are very old, you have not said what version of SRM you are using.
For the goods receipt, I doubt there will be a note to let you set the posting date or document date in the backend based on approval date, but you can easily use BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI method BBP_CONF_CHANGE to set this date to whetever you want.

    Dave.

  • Purchase Order SRM 7.0

    Hi,
We are using SRM 7.0 as backend ECC EH4. I want to create Purchase Order (EC) in SRM which will replicate on ECC but I donu2019t want to use PI so thatu2019s why I mentioned system type ERP_2.0 instead of ERP_4.0 in Define System Landscape.
I am getting following error message .
u201C No customizing entry for XXX in table BBP_BACKEND_DEST u201D  .
Internal Number range in SRM and External Number Range in ECC for Purchase Order is same. Document type EC defined in ECC and Transaction type in SRM is same.
When I create a Purchase Order through Portal  I am getting following error message u201C No customizing entry for XXX in table BBP_BACKEND_DEST u201D  after selecting purchase order type EC whereas I have defined entries in BBP_BACKEND_DEST table .
In many threads I read that if system type defined in System Landscape as ERP_2.0 or ERP_3.0 then PI is not mandatory and Contract or Purchase Order created through Idoc / BAPI. Please suggest me.
    Regards,
    Abhijeet

    Hi,
The Error is clear that backend destination is not defined.
Please delete the backend destination and create a fresh one .Some the entry will not be saved in the Table

  • SDRQCR21 and delivery from intercompany Purchase orders

I used the program SDRQCR21 to clean a bad requirement generated by intercompany delivery between to company born by a purchase order (to be clear: the company 1 made a PO to company 2  which create a delivery using the VL10B with this PO).
The program delete the bad requirement but delete also other good intercompany deliveries present over the material, without regenerating these. Now i must found a sistem to recreate these. Why the program don't take again these deliveries? Because they are link to a PO?
    thanks

    Davide,
Which version are you on? Pls check if OSS #193986 helps you.

  • Confirmation for  Cash Purchases in SRM

    Hello All,
We are running on SRM 4.0(Classic Scenario) wherein the PR,PO and Invoice is done in R/3 and the SC  creation & Confirmation in SRM.The prob we are facing is that for cash Purchases, once the Purchase requisition is closed in R/3,the status of the SC is to be updated automatically as closed in SRM or is there any provision wherein we can confirm  the SC?
    Regards,
    Disha.

    Hi Disha,
This is not a common scenario...
However, you have to update PR status (manually or automatically via a custom report) and check that SRM report BBP_GET_STATUS_2 is reading PR and correctly updates SC history else you will have to enhance standard behaviour (PR status management and BBP_GET_STATUS_2 report) to match your requirements.
As i do not have a R/3 system right now, i am not able to check PR status possibility...
    Regards,
    Yann

  • Upload Purchase Orders - SRM 5.0

Can any one tell me the name of the function module / bapi / program that is provided within SRM that will allow me to upload purchase orders via a spreadsheet.
This is apparently supplied as standard.
    Thanks in advance.
    Keith

    Yeap, sure!
You can do this, if you go into the PO, you'll see these buttons.
    Check that.
