Inventory issue with negative quantity

Hi Everybody,
My project is in Production Support & I'm stuck at one point.
I have an inventory cube which shows correct quantity values for issues and receipts but shows negative in the file.
We send a file to business through infospoke.
I have done various analysis but never got to the root cause of the issue.
Can anybody give me suggestions or different ways of analysis???
Parthiv.

Thanks for your reply Engin,
You are right with that. I have checked and it is good till the cube. The total quantity matches with database table. There is a BAdI implementation at the infospoke to export the data to a file.
The file contains negative quantity values for more than 156,000 records.
The code used in BAdI :
          i_data_out-material = i_data_in2-material.
          i_data_out-plant    = i_data_in2-plant.
          i_data_out-stor_loc = i_data_in2-stor_loc.
          i_data_out-totalstock =
                          i_data_in2-rectotstck - i_data_in2-isstotstck.
But the file shows negative value of isstotstck as total quantity.

  • Misc Receipt with negative quantity

    Hi,
Is there anyway to create a Misc Receipt with negative quantity. I tried using the INV_TXN_MANAGER_PUB.Process_Transactions.But not able to create it.Any clue?

    Hi,
    How about this?
Create a non-quantity tracked subinventory by name say, DamagedInv. Whenever you want to reduce/remove the damaged quantity, perform a subinventory transfer transaction from the original subinventory to the DamagedInv subinventory.
Since DamagedInv is non-quantity tracked, it will not appear in the Subinventory LOV while performing other transactions (except miscellaneous receipt)..

  • Issue with Negative Value for Total valuated stock 0VALSTCKQTY.

    Hi Experts,
we loaded the Cube with datasources 2LIS_03_BX, 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM.
We mapped the quanity field from 2LIS_03_BF in transformation either into Key figures "Quantity issued from valuated stock" (0ISSVALSTCK) or "Quantity received into valuated stock" (0RECVALSTCK ) of the cube.
For obtaining the Total Valuated stock, we used the Key figure 0VALSTCKQTY. This key figure is having the Inflow and Out flow values as 0RECVALSTCK and 0ISSVALSTCK. When i tried to check the content of 0VALSTCKQTY, the key figure  0VALSTCKQTY is not present in the infoCube content. I understood that the value for this key figure would be calculated at the time of query execution with the formula
{ Last obtained Valuated stock + (Received Valuated Stock u2013 Issued Valuated Stock ) }.
The issue is the first records in the query is obtained with negative value for the total valuated stock 0VALSTCKQTY even though the values of Received Valuated Stock  and  Issued Valuated Stock are with Zero.  Could any one please help me on how the first record in the query is with a negative value eventhough the inflow and out flow fields of it are with Zero.
    Many Thanks in advance.

    Hi Srini,
I observed an interresting reason for the stock being with negative in the first record.
Issue : While executing the BEx report, we have the first record with a negative value.
Let me explain with an example
    Material  : XYZ
    Plant      : A
Date of Stock Initialization for data source 2LIS_03_BX -
    >  12th April 2009.
So on 12 Th April 2009 consider that we have a stock in store with a value of 2640.
Then we have loaded wih Data source 2LIS_03_BF for all Historic Movement types.
At the time of query execution we will have the first record with a negative of available stock present on the day of initialization .
So, as we have initilized the data source 2LIS_03_BX on 12 th April 2009, we have at that time a stock of 2640 in availability.
Exactly with the same value of 2640, we are having a negative value i.e. -2640.
and also one more point to be noted is ...as we have initialized the data source 2LIS_03_BX on 12 th APril 2009...it has created a
opening balance of 2640 on the day of initiailization i.e on 12 th April 2009 in infocube....(which is an extra record...)...so if the previous record of 12,04,2009 is having some value in it..then it will get added to 2640 EA..which will give incorrect stock
So in the query the records will appear in the below following manner
Calendar Day     Total stock                                                                Received stock                                          Issued Stock
    28.12.2005 --->  - 2640 EA
    29.12.2005 --->    2000 EA                                                                       640 EA                                                        0
    10.04.2009 --->      0                                                                                0                                                               2000 EA
    11.04.2009 -
    >    0                                                                                0                                                                0
                                 (For making
the earlier record of  initilization to 0  a negative value -2640 EA is created in the first record )
    12.04.2009 (Initializtion day) --->  2640 EA                                                 0                                                                0
    13.04.2009
the day before initialization the total stock will be 0 due to the negative effect introduced by the first record and from the day of initialization the records will be the accurate values...  On 12 th april 2009 we can see that a stock of 2640 is brought into the total stock. In fact if there is no negative value i.e. -2640 in the first record then ...the value on 11.04.2009 will be 2640 Ea and this will get summed up with the Opening balance of 2640 EA created by 2LIS_03_BX on the day of intitialization. So on 12 .04. 2009 the total stock will be shown as 5280 EA...so in order to prevent the double value only we observed that the first record is created with the negative of available stock present on the initialization ...to make the record before the day of initialization i.e. 11.04.2009...to be 0...so that from 12 th April 2009 ..will start to see the actual total stock in the query result...
This is happening only if we use  both the data sources 2LIS_03_BX and 2LIS_03_BF  for loading into BW.....
If we load alone by 2LIS_03_BF ...then as 2LIS_03_BX is ruled out in the loading...then no negative of available stock will be created ...because there will be bno opening balance created on the day of initialization.....and the opeing balance available will be flowing into consecutive records due to the movement types and 12 th April 2009 will be shown with avaialable total stock of 2640 EA.
Kindly let us know your opinions on this...
    Thanks.
    regards,
    Jeswanth

  • MFBF - issue with Planned quantity graeter than Backflush quantity

    Hi Experts,
In MFBF, I am getting warning message no. RM124 - 'backflush qty > planned order qty'. I want to convert this message into Error Mesasge. How to convert this warning message into error message?
The background is the backflush quantity field in MFBF is enabled,so you can make any changes as possible with the quantity. For instance,in MTS,it allows you to post with out warning whereas in MTO it does allow but with warning.I feel this is a generic problem in MFBF transaction. There must be some note on this....
Am aware of the BADI ' BAdI RM_BFLUSH_GOODSMVT ' am not interested in this BADI....................*is there any SAP note avail on this ?Though i did checked in portal but not successful.
Any inputs would be highly appreciated.Points assured.

  • AP:  Issue with PO, Quantity is missing after user MR8M

    Good Morning SAP Gurus-
We are currently on ECC 6.0.  I have an AP issue.  We had an open PO with QTY of 2 that a manual GR was done and therefore invoice was paid.  We were informed that the items never shipped therefore user executed a credit memo via MIRO and the quantity on PO was back.
Then we received another GR and same situation on the same po again however user used MR8M and now we do not see the Quantity on the PO.  How do we get the quantity back on the PO?
    Thank you!

    Hi,
MIR7 is to be used for cancellation of Invoice document.. It reverse only Vendor liability.. To get the quantity back to PO we need to do MBST for cancellation of MIGO Material document...
Or in the MIGO enter material document no.. by using cancel option (Movement type 102).
    Thanks,

  • Issue with Delivered Quantity in Schedule line level

    Hi,
I have a situation where the Delivered quantity in the sales order line item is not correct. we tried creating a delivery for a line item ( after the initial partial delivery was made), the delivery document did not get saved, however the sales order line item got updated with the delivered quantity equal to the other quantity. which is now causing the issue that i am not able to create a new delivery against this line item, please let me know on the ways of proceeding. this had happened for quite number of sales orders as the delivery processing job had an issue.
Tried using SDVBUK00 program ( specific to Sales order status update) but the results were no good.
Do we have any other methods/ correction programs?
    Regards
    Ilango

Are you able to create the delivery with ref to sales order again-then what error system throwing here--including the message number....
Note: here i presume the error like---No delivery relevant items.
Have you checked your VBFA here??
Note: once you created a delivery with respect to sales order--just do picking(even without picking)--save this delivery--now check the delivery quantity in sales order--system will update delivery quantity in sales order schedule lines--test this. Here you can do only one thing--either VBFA(follow this delivery number) or delete the delivery document & recreate..
    Pl update--Hope this helps...

  • Issue with negative conclusion attribute

    Hi,
    i written below rules:
    rule_property[fragment:3]
The scheme does not have an x action if
The scheme's current status is not active
    rule_property[fragment:4]
The scheme has an x action if
The scheme's supports an x action
Now from the debug I can see below values for the base attributes:
The scheme's current status is active
The scheme does not support an x action
The value of the conclusion is "the scheme does not have an x action"
I expect the value of the conclusion to "the scheme has an x action" as the attribute- "the scheme's current status is active" is true.
Can someone make me understand why it concludes so?
    Thanks,

I tested this an it definitely looks like a bug. As you suspected it looks like it has something to do with proving the negative of a statement in one fragment and the positive of a statement in another fragment.
I will log this as a bug so we can look at fixing it for a future release
Luckily, there's a simple work around. The best work around for this is to use a rule table. In general, I would always prefer a rule table over rule fragments for the following reasons:
you automatically get a clear order of evaluation (top to bottom)
all the rules are in one place.
The default if no conditions hold is clear in the otherwise row.
    | The scheme has an x action if
    | false     | The scheme's current status is not active
    | true      | The scheme's supports an x action
    | uncertain | otherwise
    Hope this helps
    Cheers

  • Negative quantity issue in inventory

    Experts,
I am facing one problem in inventory,i am getting two records for one material document in which primary keys are similar for both of the entries with one entry having positive qty while other as negative qty ,also the negative qty entry doesn't have any batch number along with. As it is a quarter end i need to resolve this problem as soon as possible.
the data source is 2LIS_03_BF, in extractor checker it self it is showing multiple entries for one material document (positive as well as negative)
i don't know much about inventory, because of that i am unable to understand the root cause for the same.when user are running query on the basis of batch number they are getting mismatch in report as two entries present with positive and negative qty entries(with negative entry missing batch Number.
If any one faced this issue earlier then please reply as soon as possible.

    Hi Bob,
Thanks for the reply, as I mentioned in my problem, I am getting two entries for each material document. One with positive and another with negative Quantity. Also the negative Qty record doesn't have batch num along with. So there is no meaning to fill up the setup table again. Hope I am clear this time.
Please provide me a solution for the same.

  • Service PO Creation With Negative value

    Hi all,
I am trying to create a Services PO using the BAPI 'BAPI_PO_CREATE1'
In my scenario, First time PO will create with negative value.
Then I will remove some conditions in Services line.
Then PO value will becomes positive.
When i create the bapi in ME21N, its working fine. Net values of PO become negative.
But When I try the same using the BAPI, net price of the PO stored as 0(ZERO).
If I create a PO with positive value using the same BAPI, everything is fine.
If I change the PO after creation(removing the service line to make bapi value as positive), Net values are doubled since value stored as zero instead of negative value.
Kindly help me to get out of this issue.
Note: I need to create a Services PO with negative value using the BAPI
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
No need to create service PO with negative quantity!
If payment not done for your servicePO, you can cancel invoice document and then revoke SES.
If any other process involved you can do subsequent debit or subsequent credit  for your service PO in t.code:MIRO.

My understanding, we can only reserve stocks with quantity.  Is it correct?

    Hi,
If you issue the material before posting the Goods recipt the stock will show with Negative quantity.
You can reserve the quantity for movement type irespective of available stock.
The quantity means the volume of material you required in the future date.
