Inventory load at WM level

Hi All,
We have an issue with inventory load at my present client, here is the background on it.
Client has two legacy systems;
First SYSTEM holds information on where product is located in the warehouse (bin or rack locations) along with quantities, and
Second systems holds information on bill of entry number (which is assigned by "customs" when product is imported from outside country vendors, which is 100% case) along with quantity.
It is possible to have 2 bill of entry numbers for 100 pcs for a material in system #2, and it is in 4 different locations in system #1 or vice versa. We need to capture bill of entry number in SAP, which we have planned to capture in batches.
We are struggling in devising a plan to load inventory at plant/WM level (mainly at WM level).
Our approach (which is still not clear):
1. Load stock at IM level based for n number of entries (where n is equal to Bill of entry available against each material) which can be determined based on System #2 extract. Example: System #2 says 5 bill of entries available for 1000 pcs of XYZ (100 + 300 + 200 + 200 + 200), then load inventory using MB1C for 5 lines with before mentioned quantities. External batches will be used for load and will be updated later with correct batch characterstic - BILL OF ENTRY.
2. Now how do we move stock at WM level. I know transfer requirements will be created but I have two spreadsheets, one with location information along with quantity and other with bill of entry information along with quantity. Again like I mentioned before, number of bill of entries in system in most cases will be different than number of location this material is available. EXAMPLE: 5 bill of entries for 1000 pcs from above example can be in 10 different locations, 50 pcs in location #1, 150 in location #2, and so on.
We don't have direct link between bill of entry number and location, which is making all this load more difficult.
We are thinking of having a program written or a macro in VB to do complex lookup in multiple tables to determine which bill of entry will be assigned to which location. But I will appreciate if anyone can assist me or give me an idea which is simpler than this approach.

Hi Naren,
u201CWe don't have direct link between bill of entry number and location, which is making all this load more difficult.u201C
If you do not know the exact connection between u201Cbill of entriesu201D and location (in WH) in your legacy system(s), how do you want to solve this problem in SAP???
First, you should create one table with correct information: material, batch, location. If you cannot determine it other way, you should make a physical inventory (stock count, just physically) and decide which material in which location which u201Cbill of entriesu201D (~batch) has. If you cannot get this information thereu2019s no point in speaking about this problem in my opinion u2013 you should have the proper input to get the proper output.
After that you can easily upload your data, even directly into WM storage bin w/o using any TR & TO (you can give the WM data directly for IM mvt 561 u2013 you can allow this in OMJJ). Or you can use u201Ctraditionalu201D stock upload by 561 in IM and after that you can create TOs to upload to stock into the bins.

  • Loading to Parent level Period using multiload template

    Hi Experts,
    Is it possible to load data to Parent level period using the FDM multiload template to HFM? Does multiload template allow loading of only the leaf level period?
    Thanks
    Kannan.

    FDM does not impose any rstrictions on what you can load into HFM it just respects the load constraints of the target system i.e. if you can't do something directly in HFM you won't be able to do it via FDM. In HFM data can only be loaded to base level members not parents, parents are calculated and are not stored i the HFM database. Therefore you will not be able to load to parent level members in HFM. You can sometimes have excptoions to this but only if the HFM developer has written specific rules to allow this.

  • Inventory load using 561 movt type and auto confirm TO in MB1C using 561 movt type

    Hello All,
    I am doing the inventory load using 561 movt type in MB1C. Then the material is in 998 storage type and bin "AUFNAHME". my requirement is that i want to confirm the TO, when i do the MB1C itself for the 561 movt type. Is there a way in the SAP, where i can trigger the TO confirmation in the background automatically, when i use 561 movt type in MB1C.
    Right now my thought processing is that as below,
    i create the inventory load using 561 movt type in MB1C and use the LT10 and move the stock to a different bin and confirm the TO.
    In the above step, i am using LT10 as a extra step for confirming the TO, which i am trying to decreasing my configuring in such as way for the movt type 561, so that it will automatically confirm the TO in the background, while doing the MB1C.
    My 2nd question is, when i have 5000 different materials, which are inventory loaded using 561 movt type and MB1C. I am trying to auto confirm the TO in the background, when doing the MB1C for 561 movt type itself.Secondly, if it doesn't work, then i can goto LL01 and pick the unconfirmed TOs and mass confirm the TO's.
    On the whole, my questions are is there any std config in SAP to auto confirm the TO for movt type 561 in MB1C. If it is not possible, then i need the best way to mass confirm the TO's in  SAP.
    Thnks,
    Kapil

    Hello Kapil,
    Let me explain the process step by step
    Assumption/mandatory criteria-  The process is applicable only in case you do not have storage unit management active  This process is warehouse transfer w/o WM transaction. This method is based on principle of MB1A- 711/712 movement type.
    (1) Use OMJJ and create new movement type by coping 561 for ex- "Z61". In field selection (flield selection from 201) double click on WM and make the entry "WM storage bin and storage type as required entry from suppress.
    (2) Now use MB1C with above customised movement type. At the end of this transaction,system will take you to the screen to  make an entry in storage type and storage bin. Post the entry.
    That's it. Your stock would be in warehouse as well as IM stock would be in sync. There is no TR/TO. You can create LSMW to upload the data by this method. If you have SUT defined then you can follow the same process as above. But after that do not forget to update LQUA-LETYP field with respective SUT. However, you can not use this method in case you have SU management active.
    My view with this upload process-  Please use other data uploading method which are not at all time consuming. In more than 90% of most of the business scenarios, storage unit type is used. Hence you will have to perform additional activity of updating LQUA-LETYP-storage unit type field. If this is the case, then why cant you use other uploading method?.
    Thanks,
    Milind

    To load MM & WM inventory I need to fill BMSEG & RLBES structures. Movement Type 561 for Inventory management &  Warehouse Management. I could not find any solution to fill both these structues in one shot (Batch input or BAPI or IDOC).

  • Loading SWF into level and setting height/width/location?

    Hi folks, I am an old AS2 guy who gave up on Flash heavy coding when it switched to AS3. Always thought it was less intuitive, longer, and a brand new language and I got tired of trying to keep up when most of my clients did not want to pay for a full flash site. But I got this client...
    Here's the problem, I can load a swf into my main stage or into an MC , but I cannot find out anywhere how to set parameters or load into a level so it doesn't replace the current material or fix to a size that doesn't block my other material.
    I've gotten this far:
    import flash.net.URLLoader;
    import flash.net.URLRequest;
    loadGallery();
    function loadGallery():void
    var l:Loader = new Loader();
    var req:URLRequest = new URLRequest("shortstack.swf");
    l.load(req);
    l.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.INIT, galleryLoaded);
    function galleryLoaded(e:Event):void
    addChild(e.target.loader);
    What i want to do is load shortstack.swf into level 5, say, and fix it to the bottom left corner of the stage, and set its height to 400px and width to 980.
    I have a an MC on the stage at those exact dimensions called placeholderMC, but I cannot figure out a way to target it, and the tutorials I've read have to do with loading on CLICK (I want it to load on enterFrame), and none of them tell me how to set parameters, as I could in old AS2.
    FWIW, AS3 may be more powerful, but AS2 was easier to understand.
    TIA,
    Jeff

  • Creating Physical Inventory at Material/Quant level

    Hi,
    Is it possible to do Physical inventory at material /quant level in the Warehouse management.
    We dont want to do cycle count.
    Is their a way to do physical inventory at material/quant level

    Hi
    With WM you can do Continuous Inventory which counts at the bin level AND if you want to count by Material you can use transaction LICC to do this but in transaction OMNK you set the Invent method to PZ and select the Cycle count box (And the rest of the settings for physical inventoy)
    You then have to make your settings for cycle counting in OMCO
    Once this is done you can use either to count with

  • Loading on Aggregated Levels

    when i am loading the data from cube to PA, i see there is good change in the total qty in PA. I see the numbers are different if i load on aggregated levels ( say if i load on just 3 chars out of 10) to the load on detailed level.
    Why this should change in the totals ?
    Any idea ?
    Thanks
    venkat

    hi
    when i am loading the data from my backup cube to PA, I am loading on 3 chars (grouping condition) out of total 10 chars. I have just loaded one KF from cube to the same KF in PA. Then i see my qty in PA is much higher than whats there in the cube as totals. I am confused why i should get more data than the cube. I understand if its less, may be deletion of CVCs, etc.. But how its getting increased to ?
    What does exactly the grouping condition mean ? I understand that all records are grouped under those chars in totals and disaggregates later. But i am seeing my PA totals dont match with the Cube totals. Cube totals found to be lesser than PA totals.
    fully confused with this.
    thx

    Hi,
         I m going with forecast in Step 5. But have to cross a pair of radio button in Step 3 as 'All Items' or 'Selected Items'.
         I m explaining my requirement again. I ll use the 'All Items' radio button and in the last step the recommendations are displayed for the expected child items along with the materials which are not in that specific BOM but has the demand.
         Though the other materials may have demand, it is not to be displayed in my order recommendation because I have not created the forecast for that items which I used in my MRP WIzard.
    Hope you got my problem.

  • Initial Inventory Load - 561 mvmt type, FIFO Valuation

    Hello,
    We have a requirement wherein the client wants to have the Initial Inventory Load (Mvmt 561) to be valuated as FIFO.
    My understanding is, Initial Inventory Load will always be valuated at Std. Price / Moving Avg. Price.
    Can we have Initial Inventory Load valuated using FIFO, if so can you please explain in detail.
    Note: Not every Material being loaded is Batch Managed and am not sure if Batch Mgmt is a requirement for FIFO valuation.
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards,
    Bharat.

    FIFO is a year end valuation,
    you can load initial inventory with 561 and use the external value field to enter whatever value you want, SAP then updates the MAP in material master accordingly.

  • ** Balance sheet at Profit center with Inventory valuation at CoCd level **

    Scenario:
    Inventory valuation is at CoCd level. Moving Average costing.
    There are 2 plants in CoCd 3000.
    1.     I created material 1234 in plant P1 (profit ctr P1) & in plant P2 (profit ctr P2)
    2.     Then, I received a PO - $1000 (100 qty @ $10) in plant P1 & $1100 (100 qty @ $11) in plant P2
    3.     So the Moving average at CoCd is $10.50
    4.     I created a Sales order to ship out 100 qty from plant P1. The PGI posted at moving average at CoCd level i.e.
            Dr COGS $1050
            Cr Inventory $1050
    5.     Now, Inventory GL account value becomes -ve 50 at plant P1
    6.     MB52 looks wrong as below. It doesnu2019t show -50 in P1 & 1100 in P2
    Question:
    Is there any standard way to accomplish Balance sheets at Profit center with Inventory valuation at CoCd level?
    - We can do custom development to distribute Inventory balance on profit centers upon receipts or Invoice receipts (i.e. anything that updates the Moving Avg at CoCd) eg in step 2, when $1100 (100 qty @ $11) in plant P2 is received, then post +500 to inventory in P1 & -500 in P2, to make both P1 & P2 at 1050.
    However, this would be huge effort on Development, Testing & ongoing maintenance.
    - Another custom way would be to post to Profit centers a periodic entry to correct Inventory balance to (Qty on hand x Moving Avg at CoCd)
    Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

    Hi,
    I don't think so it's happen at valuation at Company code level.
    Inventory Valuation always at plant level only not at Profit center and company code level.
    In your case 2 Plants and 2 Profit centers. There is no chance to different the value at Profit center . Check once in Dev. server with example.

  • Inventory Load: Zprogram

    Dear All,
    I have a concern on inventory load program we use to convert inventory load from legacy into SAP.
    I also know that the Zprogram what we use calls standard trans code MB11. My question is even without storgae loaction data in material master, can I upload the inventory? I tried using MB11 for 561 mvt. It worked. But in our legacy system we have all other mvt types as well. How do I know for which and all mvts types, it will accept stock load without storage location data?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ganesh

    Hi,
    If your program calling standard transaction, for example MB11 or MB1C, then you can directly load stock without creating any storage location data view.
    This option is there in customization. If you go to SPRO, and then find the path Material Management>Inventory Management>Goods Receipt-->Create automatic storage location data. There you will find for which movement types you can directly load inventory without creating storage location view. System will create storage location data upon first goods receipt. Similarly
    Material Management>Inventory Management>Transfer posting--> Create automatic storage location data, there also you will find for which movements system will create automatically stoarge location data.
    Thanks,

  • LSMW for IM Inventory Loads

    Hi all,
    I am trying to upload all the Inventory load data through LSMW. I want to know is there any BAPI or Direct/Batch input program we can use in lsmw to upload the inventory data. I found a BAPI Object Type
    BUS2028 but i missed some fields to map . Is there any other program or BAPI.

    Try Using the BAPI 'BAPI_MATPHYSINV_CREATE'.
    Also there is a Direct input program 'RM07MMBL'.
    Am not sure of your mapping fields. So get into these objects and see if it will be helpful.

    are you loading into a _level or loading into a movieclip?
    if you're loading into a movieclip, just position it where
    you want on-stage and flash will load the upper left of your

    use actionscript to position the movieclip (but DON'T use the px in

    if you're loading into a _level, you must wait until loading
