Invoke adobe actions through IAC OR Invoke SaveAsOptimize

Hello,
My Requirement :
We scan a lot of patient documents and need to optimize the same. I have Adobe Acrobat X Pro.
I figured out a way to save a document as optimize and it works just fine and reduces the file size to a great extent.
I also figured out to write action to make Pro point to a input folder optimize all pdfs in the folder and output the optimized files to the output folder.
But now I want to automate this process to eliminate human effort.
I have read many posts on the forum, but didn't get anser to my requirement.
Question :
1. How can I invoke the action written in Adobe? Be it through command prompt or programmatically using Adobe's IAC.
2. Can I use Adobe SDK to save a pdf as optimized?
Found similar threads on the forum, but neither is answered:

Please advise.

Hi Irosenth,
thanks for your reply.
Can I use the sdk in .net, can you please shed some more light on the same?
Is there is any sample code to demonstrate pdf file optimization in .net?
Thanks,

  • Have to click the button twice to invoke its action!!!!

    I am using netbeans 5.5 visual web pack and tomcat server for my JSF project.
    In one of my pages i have to click the submit button twice to invoke its action.
    I searched forum for the answer but could not find any that could solve my problem.
    Whenever i first click the button from the lifecycle listener class i used i found the application goes through following phases:
    BeforePhase: RESTORE_VIEW 1
    AfterPhase: RESTORE_VIEW 1
    BeforePhase: APPLY_REQUEST_VALUES 2
    com.sun.rave.web.ui.renderer.UploadRenderer::decode()
    com.sun.rave.web.ui.renderer.UploadRenderer::     Looking for id form1:citizenshipFileUPloadField_com.sun.rave.web.ui.upload
    com.sun.rave.web.ui.renderer.UploadRenderer::     Found id form1:citizenshipFileUPloadField_com.sun.rave.web.ui.upload
    AfterPhase: APPLY_REQUEST_VALUES 2
    BeforePhase: RENDER_RESPONSE 6
    AfterPhase: RENDER_RESPONSE 6There is no INVOKE_APPLICATION phase in first click. In second click, the status i got is:
    BeforePhase: RESTORE_VIEW 1
    AfterPhase: RESTORE_VIEW 1
    BeforePhase: APPLY_REQUEST_VALUES 2
    com.sun.rave.web.ui.renderer.UploadRenderer::decode()
    com.sun.rave.web.ui.renderer.UploadRenderer::     Looking for id form1:citizenshipFileUPloadField_com.sun.rave.web.ui.upload
    com.sun.rave.web.ui.renderer.UploadRenderer::     Found id form1:citizenshipFileUPloadField_com.sun.rave.web.ui.upload
    AfterPhase: APPLY_REQUEST_VALUES 2
    BeforePhase: PROCESS_VALIDATIONS 3
    AfterPhase: PROCESS_VALIDATIONS 3
    BeforePhase: UPDATE_MODEL_VALUES 4
    AfterPhase: UPDATE_MODEL_VALUES 4
    BeforePhase: INVOKE_APPLICATION 5
    AfterPhase: INVOKE_APPLICATION 5
    BeforePhase: RENDER_RESPONSE 6
    AfterPhase: RENDER_RESPONSE 6Now the INVOKE_APPLICATION phase is invoked.
    I have <h:messages /> tag but no errors could be seen.
    What can be the reasons behind this problem

    Well the code that is producing the problem is quite big. Anyway i will post it, hoope you can get something out of it.

  • How do you invoke an Action prior to an initial page?

    Is there a mechanism in JSF that allows action code to run prior to the first page?
    Basically I want to do some processing in the context of JSF before displaying the initial application page.
    In Struts I was able to do this by defining an action-mappings action that referenced an action class, and from that action I could forward to another action-mappings action that was a JSP.

    This seems rather complicated and is not straight-forward. I need something similar: Before the first Render Response phase of a view I'd like my application to process any parameters that were passed via a non-faces GET request and set up my application and the JSF components appropriately. In other words, instead of the initial Restore View -> Render Response I'd like to have the full sequence of Restore View -> Apply Values -> Process Validations -> Update Model Values -> Invoke Application -> Render Response.
    For example, depending on the request parameters I'd like to forward the request to one or the other JSF view. And I cannot do that in the Render Response phase because doing it The Faces Way is only possible in the Invoke Application phase - which is not invoked upon a view's initial use.

  • Invoke Adobe reader in BB10, how to open encrypted files without prompting for password.

    Hello All,
    I am developing a BB10 application that invokes Adobe Reader as a card for viewing my encrypted pdf books, all books have the same password and I don't want to expose the password to the users to prevent copying copyrighted books. Is it possible to pass the password as parameter when invoking Adobe reader ? if not, is there a trick that can be used to prevent the user from using the options "Share" and "Save As" in card-invoked Adobe reader ?
    Thanks to all.

    PS Touch can't open PSDs locally. They have to be imported via Creative Cloud (and even then, they are flattened when imported).
    I imagine this was a "quality of life" decision since PS Touch can only support up to 16 layers in a particular project. That and maybe the fact that Photoshop (and Photoshop Elements) can use layer masks, which PS Touch doesn't presently have.

  • Firefox10 was unable to invoke adobe pdf print preview where as Firefox 3 was able to do this.

    Firefox10 was unable to invoke adober pdf print preview where as Firefox 3 was able to do this.
    embed pdf document or use iframe
    Firefox successfully loads the PDF into the iFrame.
    What doesn't happen is printing.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909776

    Also check this out. Firefox10 was able to display the pdf document perfectly.
    Now goto Firefox options and click print which invokes the printer print view and NOT the Adobe print view.
    Also if you click the print preview a blank page is shown.

  • Custom button with action listener - will not invoke action listener

    Hi
    For whatever reason, I cannot find a concise example of a simple custom component that can invoke an action listener. The tutorials I've read so far either ignore this fundamental topic or only make the slightest make reference to it.
    The best I have come up with - in terms of a simple prototype is below... but, the action listener is never invoked.... Can someone tell me what I am missing (full code below). Hopefully, what is missing or incorrect will be obvious to you JSF experts out there.
    Thanks for any help!!

    --old--
                        mb.invoke(context, new Object[0]);

    -Below is the entire application, again -- for those (like myself) who need concrete examples...

  • Invoking ADF Actions from JS API

    Is there a way to invoke an action from a javascript function? Something that would perhaps mimic what this commandLink does:
    <af:commandLink text="Lights, Camera, Action!"
    id="chuckNorris" action="flyingKick"/>
    What I am looking for is the ability to invoke the action "flyingKick" from a javascript function.

    Thanks, I actually already saw this. What I need though is something that doesn't a serverListener though - a programmatic version of a commandLink with an action if you will.

  • How to invoke adobe life cycle webservice using c++ (how to pass blob structure as argument)

    We already wrote sample code (.NET C#) to access livecycle webservice(this convert the input file into pdf file) using below link from adobe
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/livecycle/8.2/programLC/programmer/help/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/ht ml/wwhelp.htm?context=sdkHelp&file=000088.html
    We want to write c++ client to invoke adobe life cycle webservice. I have sample code to invoke the given webservice using plain c++ but I am stuck up with 'how to pass BLOB structure as argument to CreatePDF() method' and
    plus 'how to get ouput as mapItem[]' . Is the code to convert to pdf works fine with .NET and java only? Not with c++ or VB?

    In this case the LiveCycle services are exposed as web services that can be consumed by any application language that can interact with web services. While the sample published are for c# and Java there is no reason that other web service aware languages (C++, Perl, etc) wouldn't work.
    I'm not a Microsoft C++ expert, but as far as I understand all you need to do is create a web reference and then have your C++ classes interact via the generated proxy classes. The syntax will be different, but the concept is the same

  • How to invoke commandLink action?

    Hi!
    On my page i have commandLink defined like this:
    <af:commandLink binding="#{regBean.cmdLink}" text="commandLink 1" action="#{regBean.startRegistration}"/>
    i need to invoke its action automatically when the page is loaded (it is just "please wait" page") ... i have pagePhaseListener, my own afterPageLoad() method is invoked at right time.
    System.out.println("afterPageLoad");
    Object retVal = cmdLink.getAction().invoke(FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(),null);
    System.out.println("afterPageLoad end- "+retVal);
    But when i try invoke commandLink action from this method, it is not invoked, even debugging message after this call is not processed, no exception is thrown..
    What am i doing wrong? thanks a lot for any help

  • Unable to invoke adobe reader

    Can anyone help me to resolve this issue?
    I don't have problem to use adobe reader before today, but today I suddenly find I can not invoke adobe reader to read my pdf file.
    My pc is vista and I was using adobe reader X before today.  When I found my adobe reader does not work, I uninstalled adobe reader X then install adobe reader 9.0, but still not working.  I don't remember what happened since yesterday.
    The thing is, there's no error message at all.  I double click the pdf file but nothing happens, therefore, I have to choose the browser to open the pdf file.
    Does anyone know what caused the problem and give me some clues?  Thanks.

    Don't have a clue. However, you might want to ask in the Reader forum, this is not it.

  • Firefox10 was unable to invoke adober pdf print preview where as Firefox 3 was able to do this.
